Today July 18, 2020 I went to a local Dollar General to pick up a few items with my daughter. Upon entering the store I noticed 2 employees sitting behind the register without the use of a face covering. I asked if they were required to wear them. The both replied "NOPE we don't have to wear them if we don't want to NOPE". On July 10, 2020 Governor Tate Reeves signed a new executive order requiring people to wear face covering when in a shopping environment and limiting social gatherings to no more that 10 indoors. Face covering must be provided to all employees who come in direct contact with customers. Employees are required to wear face covering throughout their shift and clean or replace daily. I noticed 3 employees that did not have on face covering nor did they ask the customers presenting in the store to wear one. Harrison County was one of the first 13 counties to see a spike in COVID-19 cases. The risk is present everywhere but proven that face covering does work and will help slow the spread of the virus if we all work together in compliance with the Executive Order.
