On 09/03/2020 at approximately 4:40 pm i was shopping at your store at 3104 W Old NC 150 HWY Located in Crouse, NC 28033. I went into the store me and my daughter to buy some coca cola products that were on sale and just a few more items. When walking into the store there was only 1 cashier at 1 of the registers clearly she did'nt have on a mask and I have never seen any employee there with a mask. It took me about 20 minutes to reach the register, because there was a line full of people waiting and the employee was clearly having problems with the cash register. When my turn came about 5:00 pm then she rang up my items and said that will be $101.39 i said ma'am something is clearly wrong there is no way my little stuff came to that much, She replied and politely and said i know iv'e been telling the manager all day that stuff is not ringing up right, But she just ignores me faithfully. I told the young employee that i was not going to pay $101.39 for a few items and could she void it off and redo it again. She replied well i gotta go find the manager, Because she has been in the back most of the day and i'm really tired of this cash register and i would have to get her to do a void and she gets angry. The employee left the register by then there were about 4 more people waiting behind me as the young employee was returning back to the register walking trough the isles you could hear an older woman voice very angrily fussing and using unjust profanity saying outloud this is Bullshi* and I don't have time for any Mother Fuc**** crap today. Everyone in line was stunned by the look on their faces. When the employee and the manager approached the register there was a young man about the age of 25 years old was behind them he had no dollar general attire on and look like he had stepped out of the movie water world (leather jacket, tatoos, leather boots and his head was shaved bald) The manager as she stated she was looked at me and said "Whats the Damn problem" I says to her that your cash register is clearly wrong ma"am it has rang my items up wrong and most of everything i have is on sale . She looks at me and says well everything looks right to me and You're going to have to pay for it, because i can't void it, I looked at her and said I refuse to and i do want the items, But you should do it over after voiding this transaction . The young guy was already behind the register and had went into i guess the employee room she yelled and says bring me that Damn sales paper and then she looks at angrily and says move your stuff to the next register and then did a series of things to the young girls register and say rudely "Now take care of the next person in line" I pushed the cart all the way back around the store to the next regfister, Because of a 6 foot distance i did'nt want to closely pass anyone she got the sales paper while the young guy stood near her and she started counting up the items as she got to the coca cola products she looks at me and says ...See alot of these drinks is not on sale and and i can refuse to sell them to you and this is clearly a waste of my time she then looks at the young guy and says is that coke man still back there and the guy says i don't think so and then she started turning through the sales paper. She found everything i had that was on sale in my buggy and after counting it up my stuff came to $52.00 dollars over half of what she was trying to charge me. She did'nt say im sorry or anything to me and as i was walking out she was telling some of the people in the store 'See it's people like this that messes up things for my store" Me and My daughter being the only black people in the store this statement really made me feel so bad and sad at the same time and i was so embarrased and My next step will be talking with my lawyer to file discrimination charges. She really needs to be fired and as the young girl employee stated she had been having problems all day with the register and the manager.
My resolution would be for Dollar General to Fire this woman and To find out who was this young guy in the employee room and behind that register, He looked like a pirate with the clothes he had on and very gangster looking with all those tattos. This type of behavior is not tolerance and should be addressed immediately . this is Bad for buisness and could've been worse if i was not being a loyal and considerate customer and Im a loyal Dollar General shopper and hate to fear away of the store, because of the manager. store #18200
