Dollar General review: Unprofessional district manager

Today, October 31, 2023, My wife and I were in store 17338 Lerona, WV. The store Manager (we believe her name is Chastity) was being yelled at by who we found out later was the district manager. First let me explain. This store has looked amazing since the young lady Chastity has taken over. The store is clean and impactful. This District manager has NO right to accost another employee loud and in public. My wife and I listened to this (Angela) and she was out of line. I have been in big box retail for over 25 years as a district manager and have seen these other District managers ruin great stores and amazing managers to save their own job or simply because they have an ego trip. This CAN NOT go on. This young lady is kind and is always working her tail off for your company. We are in the store quite often and enjoy the atmosphere created by that store manager. To be clear, we have been in many of your stores and this is not the first time we have witnessed this district manager act like a fool and raise he voice. These managers are working under a heavy load and under staffed. People just don't want to work anymore. Chastity should be commended for the amazing turn around of this store. My wife and myself will not stand by and allow this district Manager to speak to anyone in this manner. Maybe if she would spend the time she uses to yell to maybe help fix any issues instead of barking off commands, all of your local stores would look as good as Chastity's. If all the stores in the area are failing as Angela stated, than who failed? The Managers and employees or maybe the district manager. Get The district manager under control. We have MANY friends and family in the area and will ALL continue to complain until something is done about this woman. She is rude and unprofessional. You should praise the hard work and dedication of the young store manager.
