closing manager extremely rude
The closing manager was extremely rude to myself and my mother. She opened the door very hard and could have potentially hurt us. The staff was also very rude and unprofessional. I hope that something is done about the terrible customer service at the Dollar Tree in Shoppers World at Brampton. Terrible experience. I will never shop at Dollar Tree again.

On thursday 2/15/18 I went to the dollar store close to my work. I stop there often to get items for my job. Tonight I was shopping for myself. 1st I wanted to get 2 cards for valentines day and figured they would be marked down, when I asked the associate that was working on cards why were they 1 $ each rather then 2 for 1$ like most cards, or even lower due to the holiday being over. She grabbed the cards from me and said she was putting them away. Ok way to make a sale, I just grabbed 2 more cards in which she now has removed all envelopes and put them in my cart as I did need them. Went back and found envelopes that fit. Not helpful at all but not a big deal no... That came at check out. I was checking out with a cashier named "george" I had over 50 $ in items which is normal for me at the dollar tree. He began bagging and I notice he put lotions and other products in the bag with my food. I went to grab the bag and tell him to stop it was full enough. I did not want to be rude. Like who doesn't know you don't do that! 101 food does not go with cleaners, lotions etc. He told me the bags not full. I said well they are cheap bags and rip easy can you please start another one. He was visibly upset. So he keep throwing anything into bags, so I grab 2 bags from the line next door and start re-bagging not wanting to cause extra work and knowing he is mad for some reason. The he raises his voice and snaps at me "let me do my job" I said you can but if I want 10 bags and I am bagging them its not a problem. He again told me to stop. I did as he was very upset shooting darts at me and mumbling under his breath. I just want bags that wouldn't rip and had food in bags with out lotions and other products. He is tossing my item more like slamming them in bags mumbling and growing agitated. I wait cash out and grabbed my receipt and said your name is george correct, that is all. I walk out he follows me out the store and yells you better bring that cart back. I did respond a little sarcastic but I was also nervous its dark there are not many people around. I have some cashier all angry following me out of a store all over bagging? If he is in the retail he need a training on a - bagging and b-how to speak to people c - do not chase customer out of store-creepy. So now I do not feel comfortable going to the store which is minutes from my work and I do get items do for work and the store is clean and although I live 35 minutes away I went to the store anyway as it is clean and stocked nicely. Now what do I do? He frighten me and made me very uncomfortable. I was nothing but professional I bag items myself to spare him from his anger. Where do I go to shop and why should I even have to put up with rude behavior when I am spending money. fruit smoothies
I visited the Dollar Tree located at 3100 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29210 and the smoothies were being placed in the refrigerator with expired expiration dates. I notified the employee of this and he continued to put the expired products in the fridge! I also notified the cashier and assured me the issue would be addressed. I returned on yesterday 2/14/18 in hopes that the products would have been removed and replaced with up to date items with current expiration dates and THE SAME SMOOTHIES FROM THE PERVIOUS WEEK WERE THERE! Expiration dates going back to 2/1/18 where in the fridge. There is no excuse for this from any store! I will escalating my complaint further if no response is granted within the next 72 hours!
filthy store
I am filing a complaint on store #3867. It is so filthy all the time with extremely stained carpet, stacked boxes all over and trash all over the aisles. This has been going on for several months and nothing is ever done
to take care of this situation. The store is a disgrace and takes down the value of the neighborhood. Store #2580 tiled their store and it looks great!
Maybe our store could get rid of that ruined carpet and get tile, but there is
still the matter of the condition of the store. The manager does not seem to care what condition her store is in. We saw four people up front this weekend and no one was doing any cleaning.

Hello my name is noelia, I was at your store locate it i. 111 wagaraw rd hawthorne nj 07506 @ 8:52 pm. I bought some school supply for my son and daughter's project.in those items I had 2 white poster board which I rolled them to make sure they don't get dirty or wrinkle. When I went to the register to check out this lady with the name of audrey cartwright was there and I asked her very nicely to please be careful with the poster boards since she unrolled them to scan them at the register her responded was very rude and nasty she said : "well if it gets dirty you come back and buy another one simple as that" I then decided to asked why is she being so disrespectful and specially in front of my son (5th grader). She told me "if you don't like it your problem this all happened in front of another person which I found out she was the manager and never at any point said anything to her or asked her to calm down. I asked her if she was the manager she told me she was and laughed. When I asked for her name she told me I write it down for you old lady and laughed.
I never felt so disrespectful worse have someone do that and the person in charge of your store did absolutely nothing. I am at your store once or twice a week for school supplies for my kids but I rather use another store pay extra and get treated with respect. This is the first time someone ever reacted this way to me. I am not sure whether this is going to be read or not but I thought I will give it a try.
I never worked for dollar tree, but another retail. I'm sure she can get into trouble for calling you old lady as this is age abuse. I'm sure they have district managers you can call but make sure you got the right store. You can find the store number and store manager name online
Also this made me so angry that when my on said he forgot something that he needed I slapped him hard and he cried. Then I find out someone reported me to CPS. Now my children may end up in foster care and they want to interview me and my kids.

Well for the pass two weeks this store has been closed before the 9:00 pm time on the door. I come to this store at 8:25 after leaving my job and have to rush to the other location on main st. Thank god there always open till regular closing time or i don't know what i would do. Something has to be done about this as soon as possible. And the people working there just act like they don't see anyone. I must go way outta my route to get what i need wasting more gas then nessacerry. And they are there just talking to one another like they don't have a job to do. Now I'm not trying to get anyone in trouble i just want them to do there job like posted. Or change the time on the door to 8 instead of 9 for closing.

Purchased reading glasses from dollar tree and had a terrible, still do, reaction to the frames being of the color blue and the dye in them. Must have ppd dye in the glasses, as for I am allergic to this but never had problems purchasing glasses anywhere else - I since have not been able to dye my hair due to the break out behind my ears from these glasses along with break out near face where the glasses hit. I can't dye my hair because I have actual blisters and puss from this. I have had to invest money in getting medicine for this reaction and endure pain with the break out. This needs to be informed to the public that should you be allergic to dye, these glasses will have you in pain! From one dollar purchase, this has cost me money along with my appearance looking horrible with the break out and much pain. I will move forward with this situation as for this is not acceptable. The store did nothing for this for me in return of my complaint. I do have pictures of the break out as well as my hair stylist not being able to work on me due to the rash and opening sores/blisters.

The manager at the store dollar tree 5975 is not very respectful. She yells at her employees to much. Its been several times since i walked in the store and she shows favoritism to certain employees but also tree the others like they doesn't matter. I once walked towards the entrance last week and i saw her flirting with a guy outside of her place of business. I also think that they exchange numbers. Then as soon as she came back inside, she started being disrespectful towards her employees and that is NOT ok . please can somebody fix this situation.

Please let me start by saying this Dollar Tree at 329 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801 is exceptional well stocked and very well maintained. But sadly, we may not be shopping at the store again. We will go to the Super Walmart which is in the same shopping center.
My complaint and/or criticism is with the young woman who was making the " Sunday Morning Announcements" and then "Checked Us Out" at the register. The young woman was rude and curt with us with the tone of her voice and with rude way she answered my husband's question if the store carried the Sunday newspaper... We very much felt that she found us to be an inconvenience to her, as she checked us out. Everyone has an off day, but we were informed by other people whom "use" to frequent the store, that they have been treated this exact way by the same young woman.
I felt you at the corporate office should be aware of this young woman way of taking care of customers. Again I would like state that my complaint/criticism is not with your Dollar Tree Store but with this particular young woman. Perhaps extra training as to how to treat customers, especially as 'She" them checking out, because the cashier is the last impression the customer has of your Dollar Tree Store.

You have a manager working in your store by the name of Matt who appears to be under the influence of either methadone or heroin, and he's constantly almost falling asleep in a drug-induced Haze how can you put someone in a position as manager to maintain the Integrity of a store?
I had to speak with him and it was like talking to someone in a coma.
I simply asked him a plain and simple question and after listening to his rambling drug-induced answer for more than 30 minutes which should have only been a quick yes or no I simply left the store and will not be back to give you my hard-earned cash to keep your business open.
If this is the kind of employees that you put on the payroll especially in a manager position.

My name is charlene west, dollar tree store id# [protected], and I have a major issue complaint being an employee of above said store and parties in involved for two (2) years seasonal employment with store# 2569, and would like to bring the truth to dm sally and dm sally's higher level.
The first seasonal year I worked for dollar tree store# 2569, I was not trained by corporate policy, for having been manager and assistant manager for several retail stores in my past work history in retail, I had knowledge of hands on experience to ring up a sale on a register, I never had any write ups and used my customer service skills of my own abilities. my last seasonal day was jan., 31st, 2017, in which I was the first to leave for I was the last hired that year for seasonal work. sandy, the store manager of store# 2569 said "you will be the first I call if I have any openings in the store," (quote/unquote), needless to say, sandy hired quite a few and never call me to hire back as permanent.
Sandy (s. m.) and (assistant s. m.) katie, (s. m & a. s. m meaning: s. m. store manager/ a. s. m. meaning: assistant store manager), would call me in to work all the time for employees not showing up, needed more workers to work shift, etc., one week I worked 11 straight days just being "called in" the store needed help, I never missed a day nor a call in shift, I would get the call, stop what I was doing and go into work, I was very dependable, plus some, to management and co-workers. I phoned every month to hear sandy the same thing to me: there are no positions, in which I was told by my co-workers, sandy, s. t. hires one, two, etc., but I had no phone call for the hiring.
The second year seasonal came, I was never notified, just happened I was going to shop, sandy s. m. made me fill out another application, and found out later that employee lola asked sandy s. m. why? she did not have to do that! lola also stated to sandy s. m. that I was the most responsible one here, always on call, never misses a shift, does all you ask of her and charlene even helps us on recovery etc., she is fast with that! lola was quite upset also along with kary, (freight a. s. m.) for sandy s. m. threatened kary and myself talking to kary stating: "if I have to come down to the store and close, I will make all miserable for the entire week!" kary told me, I responded: oh no kary! kary a. s. m. said to me, sandy means you too! meaning, myself.
The 2nd seasonal year was with sandy s. m., she wrote me up for all and anything she could think of, for example: using a ladder to get into office, I asked her why she was doing that with customers around? sandy s. m. writes me up! sandy asks me to spy on nicky (former a. s. m.) and report back to sandy, my draw was over, the customer did not take her change of $3.00, I brought that to sandy's attention, sandy put the $3.00 in my pocket and told me the money was mine, and I know it was not mine! another write up! as sandy trained me to put money under news paper sandy would come and get it to bring me change, another write up! I paged sandy, for I charged a customer twice for same item, sandy would come and hit f3 to delete the item, and told me, just hit f3 button to delete the item, sandy s. m. trained me to press the f3 button and I did what she said and used the f3 button all the time and don't page her, then one day she said to me "I never should of showed you how to do that!" a. m. cassie showed me a read out of my register and it said I had 299 voids! I told cassie I oly had 2 voids in the 2 years working here, cassie told me that f3 button is a void and I never knew that! I feel sandy s. m. set me up to fail! and also not training me by corporate policy till the mistake was all ready done! sandy s. m. I don't know why she did these things to me, I can only think of one reason, sandy s. m., one night we were the last to go and her safe was off -20.00 dollars, she checked all over, but the safe was short $20.00 dollars, she said she could loose her job over the safe being short $20.00 so sandy s. m. put her own money in the safe of $20.00 dollars, and stated: my husband is out of work, meaning that $20.00 dollars she put in the safe was going to hurt her personal money, I felt bad hearing and seeing all this, especially breaking rules. there was another time, I was just getting in register and sandy stated to me "you don't need to count it, I just made it! just take the customers!" I did what she told me to do, not count my draw just ring customers and down inside my ones I found a 20 mixed in with the ones, then I checked the draw and there was also a 5 dollar bill almost to the end of the ones in register cash, I told sandy s. m. she didn't come to check it and just blew me off and said"you must have put it in wrong place! blaming me again! first off they were too far under ones and twenties go under the dividing till draw! all this is true, ask lola, kary, nicky. I was the responsible one and I feel sandy had to get rid of me because of her threats to me and and kary that night, the safe -$20.00 short that I know what sandy did about the safe money, I truly feel the 299 voids was a set up. I was wrongfully (so called) trained! getting write ups because of the way sandy trained me, this was wrongful! I had 2 more work days but sandy said it was done (seasonal) I took pictures of work sch'ds with my phone. all I cam say is: this is wrongful even done to the 3 days I still had for work that sandy did not allow me to work!

I went to store 3226 in bismarck I love the dollar tree. I was buying paper plates and couple other items when I heard the manager Natasha talking to someone on her cell phone about how Thomas favors her she can get away with anything and how she was stealing money from the tills and Thomas didn't even say a thing and how its been going on for a couple months. Not only did I offer hear this unprofessional conversation she was having she made kept putting her finger up to shush me I've never been so mad before as I was leaving the store Natasha approached me told me have a nice day as she was going out side to smoke however she dropped a glass round tube that I step on and almost fell she said o sorry Dam pipe fell out my pocket. Store 3226 iI stopped at dollar tree to pick up a few things Natasha the manager was disrespectful, rude and pushy. I asked for help getting some balloons. She told me I can't help you im going on break have one of the other cashiers do it for you. Unprofessional then when she came back from break she was on her cell phone screaming at someone and. She went right to the office.. Not only could I hear her swearing. We were in Dollar Tree in Wichita, Kansas, in the Twin Lakes Mini Mall . They were restocking shelves. But they had every isle jammed full of boxes blocking access to me with a cart . My mother in a wheel chair couldn't even shop at all . I couldn't get to anything . It was ridiculous. I have never been in a Dollar Tree that did that when they restock . I work at the store in Havre de Grace, Maryland. I was never told how to make a complaint or go above my manager so I am going to start here. My manager is Tanya and I have had a lot of issues with her being rude and having an attitude with me. I have also had the same problem with one of the assistant managers, Edna, I'm also not the only person who has had issues. There have been customers who have also complained. I have never been rude towards them and I am always respectful, I feel as though I should be treated with the same respect. Since I have been working at this store two employees have quit due to the way they are treated by management. On one occasion a customer called and asked if I would hold newspapers for her, I had previously but was unaware that we are not supposed to, another employee put papers under the register and said they were for somebody. When I told Tanya that I didn't put them there and told her who did she accused me of lying and yelled at me. Also on another occasion I was at the register and Tanya, Edna and Deb were in the office talking badly about the employees and were so loud I could hear them. The customer I was helping shook her head and said that's not right, they shouldn't talk about people like that and everyone can hear them. After I asked them if they had a problem to please come to me. There have been times when I have asked for help because I have had a line and the managers have been rude about it. I run the cash register and stock everyday and they should be expected to do the same! Also, when we are scheduled to get off I feel that we should be off within 5 or 10 minutes but I never get off on time! For example on Monday I was scheduled to work 12:30pm til 5:30pm. At 5:45pm I asked Edna who was supposed to come in and relieve me and she said I don't know I have to check. The employee that was supposed to come in was a no call no show. At 6pm I asked again what was going on and she said very rudely you need to wait a minute! So I said, "I need to pick my son up by 6:30, I was supposed to be off a half hour ago and I'm still ringing customers. I have came in and stayed every time I've been asked to but I can not today, I'm sorry but I need to leave in the next 10 minutes." Five minutes later she came and said that somebody else would be there soon and asked if I could stay until they got there, I said no not really and she still did not take me down. She waited until the other employee came in 15 minutes later and I did not leave until 6:30. I was late picking up my son and I didn't think it was fair the way I was treated AGAIN! I have came in and worked every time they have asked me except one other time. I love working at this store but the managers Tanya and Edna are not qualified to run this store, they have been very rude and unprofessional on multiple occasions. The store located in Casa DeOro, CA in San Diego County is always filthy. The rugs are dirty, store products are scattered all over the floor ant selves are not neat and well stocked. Management I'd friendly and helpful but obviously lazy and sloppy. It's disgusting and not good for your business. You should send someone I thus store to straighten it out.
cashier extremely unprofessional (charles of store #1753)
I went to store #1753 on Skibo rd of Fayetteville, NC this lovely Tuesday morning (2/6/18) with my best friend. We were going there to shop, not for anything in particular, we always browse the aisles and end up spending 50 bucks on assortments of everything. So anyways, we pull up and she said she wanted to stay in the car and I was confused so I asked why? She said I was going to ask can you grab me a couple of Marijuana tests, and I don't want to come in. I said yeah I can but why are you not coming in? She explained how they always give her a certain look or try to embarrass her. So then I definitely understood so I went in and got some knick knacks and her tests. I get to the register take my stuff out of the basket, except the Marijuana tests and as soon as the cashier sees it(his name is Charles) he says DAMN! Really loud and the woman in front of me starts laughing and Charles does too. Now I know why she didn't want to come in, I was pissed and embarrassed. I wanted to go off but I kept my composure and didn't say one word. When he starts ringing me up he says you know they have Marijuana cream? I want to try it. I looked at him and didn't say anything. He then said I know where to get any when your done with your sober period. I looked up at him in disgust, thinking in my head no he did not just say that! How weird, unprofessional, and just not cool! I again ignored him. He finishes checking me out. And I walked out feeling so angry, and embarrassed. You should never ever make any customer feel embarrassed about what they are purchasing. So unprofessional!

The dollar tree on S Calle Santa Cruz in Tucson, Arizona. Store #4345 is the worst store ever my friend recently bought sonething but later realized it was the wrong color and she called to ask if she could maybe return it and the assistant manager picked up and said hold on not even a hello just hold on and hung up when she called back the assistant manger had to be called back to the front and she took forever she kept my friend waiting for a good 10 minutes then i recently went to pick up some birthday balloons and this african woman was so rude i was only checking to make sure they had the one i wanted and she said to get away from her station then i had to check out with her as she was the only cashier open and she threw all my stuff in one bag i had to ask her to please separate the stuff like i had done and she made a face and rolled her eyes at me. I now understand why my friends would rather go to 12th and valencia the assistant manager and that employee will be the reason that store goes out of bussiness. I will never go back there again
store lack of stock and disorganization
Dear Madam or Sir:
The condition of the Dollar Tree store in Greenville, SC, Augusta Rd & Hwy 25, Zip 29605 is absolutely unacceptable. Dollar Tree usually provides a good selection and excellent savings, but this store has gradually become worse and worse for the past 2 years. The shelves are bare in many instances and does not in have in the stock the items that are supposed to be carried.
The cleanliness of the store is not good and the shelves are unorganized and in disarray. It almost looks like you are shutting down the store.
