josie a store manager @the dollar tree in lawndale, ca
My store (05298) manager (Josie) is very rude and very unprofessional always degrading her assossiates in front of customers. She hired me knowing I had a little bit of back problems and still makes me carry the heaviest boxes but gets mad because I'm unable to at times. I had an incident at work and she still hasn't told me to file an incident report and is getting mad because I didn't tell her that same day. I told her the next day because i had a bruised eye and my wrist might be sprained. I also didn't tell her that same day because she was pressuring me to finish my boxes & clean the aisles. I was too busy and completely forgot about the box falling on my face and wrist.
dollar tree at 209 e. 103rd street, chicago, il 60628
My experience at the Dollar Tree new location at 209 E. 103rd in Chicago unfortunately made me never purchase anthing there again. There was only 1 register open & after cashier asked for help as she had a long line, it was 10 minutes before other staff members came onto the floor. As a paying customer my time is valuable also. For others shopping there, I hope this issue will be resolved by more management training or hiring more help especially with the holidays coming soon.
assistant managers gomattie and theresa.
Assistant Managers in charge...Attached is a picture of Gomattie Lying on boxes of products while on her phone surfing the web. Theresa was the only cashier on register and she was more interested in having a conversation with gomattie than cashing. The above ladies mentioned are known to be very rude, swears a lot while at work and lack customer service manners. I'm a regular customer at this location at 115 and Jamaica Ave which is the dirtiest store in the area. There were two very helpful young ladies Who was cleaning and packing the aisles Diana and Maria, I witnessed a previous employee who is working at another dollar tree (Charles) posing as a corporate official to harass the new employee (Maria )which was encouraged by the parties mentioned above just for laugh. This store is never clean, rat dropping's, items all over the floor and some of the employees have no customer service training, no hello, thank you for shopping or do come again and definitely no smiles. This location needs to be monitored and trained and might I suggest you take a look at the cameras because the people in charge is not doing" their job"
no public restroom access for pregnant women
Requested the restroom key based on the sign on the restroom door. Was told very rudely that the restroom was closed. I left, called and asked to speak to the store manager. The person was agressive and yelled at me. When I quoted the State of Oregon law regarding the requirements of a restroom for a pregnant woman, I was told to stop cussing (which I didn't cuss) and hung up on. The store is in Roseburg Oregon 97471. I am also a store manager for a major corporation and I know the Oregon laws. Your company hires those that discriminate against pregnant customers. I will not be shopping there again and I will notify city officials, we are a small town.
bad behaviour
I was in the store in Sedalia mo this morning on 10/25/17, there was a very rude woman talking loudly on the phone and basically cursing out who ever she was talking to, it sounded like another employee about a scheduling issue. there was no need to be so loud and rude to whomever she was talking to. also why is the back half of the store so empty, the aisles are bare and it looked like the stockers were taking forever putting things away, and when I went to the bathroom which is their stockroom it looked like hell, freight everywhere. maybe the young lady that was yelling on the phone should have been doing her job out on the floor rather than causing a scene where everyone could hear her, it seems every time I'm in there and she is working its pandemonium
I am complaining about assistant manager ebony at the brandon bloomingdale location
Wanting to file a complaint on unprofessional, rude, aggressive behavior of an assistant manager Ebony at 865 E Bloomingdale Ave location in Brandon. I went to the store to return a box of 36 LED candles from a pick up at store order from dollar tree.com. she was outside on her cell phone and immediately saw me coming with the box and tried to turn me away saying that they don't do returns from online orders. I had called customer service online the evening before and was told to bring the product to the store and have manager there call the customer service online to verify that the right item was returned and the refund would be processed. I told Ebony this and she again said that they don't do online returns. She then got on the phone with her so called store manager and went inside the store with me standing there outside. I then proceeded to call the number for online customer service and walked inside. The customer service representive asked to talk to the manager and the assistant manager Ebony rudely said she couldn't talk because she was busy talking to her store manager on the phone. After hearing me tell the representative that she wasn't available to talk, she loudly sighed and rolled her eyes and she took my phone. She briefly to talked to the representative but then cut off that lady and slammed my phone down to continue talking to her store manager. On the phone with her manager, She attempted to return the led candles her own way and counted 24 candles in the box for return although I pointed out that if she counted again there was actually 36. She was very agitated at this point and rolled her eyes at me and said she will do it her way. She kept raising her voice at me and I asked her on several occasions to not raise her voice at me. While she was attempting to return the candles her own way, the customer service representative told me that Ebony cannot run my card because the item was not purchased at the store. It was an online order picked up at the store. Ebony continued to not listen and became more agitated and refused to call to the representative at this point. The representative asked me not run my card, that she would help me with the refund over the phone. She apologized to me and agreed that Ebony's behavior was very unprofessional. It was a very unpleasant experience having to deal with Ebony. She does not represent your company well. I have never in my life filed a complaint like this towards someone. Nothing may come of this complaint but I feel better sharing my experience with you to help prevent Ebony from treating customers like me in a very unprofessional, aggressive manner. I will be very hesitant/ high unlikely to ever order through this company thanks to Ebony.

POS system on card reader went down. Items bagged already but card reader broke. Was waiting in line for several minutes prior to be rung up for glasses to be wrapped! Manager could not fix reader. Her solution go wait back in line after already been waiting in line with no apology or concern.
Walked out and never going back for not a penny worth of service!
dollar tree customer appreciation day 10-15-17
I went into the store located on West Florissant, Ferguson, Mo on customer appreciation day and no one working there knew what I was talking about. I thought I was going to get a dollars off if I spent 10 dollars like last year no one knew anything about this, this is my second time submitting this info with no feedback. Does the company not respond to customer complaints? I requested a dollar coupon and left a message for someone in the office and no one even called to see what I was talking about. It was advertised online and finally another customer came in looking for the same deal saying she saw it on line and we did not need a coupon. They never passed out coupons and I am in and out of that store all the time.
customer service
My customer service experience was extremely bad. Her name is Samantha a cashier.
She would not smile, every time I see her she is rude but this time she rung up my stuff.
I swiped my card and she pressed a bunch of buttons and said my card doesn't work..when I know I have More than enough for the purchase I was trying to make.
She kept doing it over and over about 4 times..
I knew she was doing it on purpose because she was suppose to push 1 button after I swipe.
And she said she won't do anything about it..I told her that she needs to call a manager over and she got rude and smart and said that it will be the same results..
She refused to help me so I had to get a manager and Samantha told the manager that its my fault that my card does not work..
The manager rung up my items on a separate register after arguing nicely with me and saying all the registers are connected so dining it up on a mother register won't make it work..
So I had to ask him 4 times to re ring it up.
He rung it up and when I swiped my card he only pushed 1 button 1 time and my card worked..
In very upset because Samantha was playing games wasting my time..
I also had to tell the customer to start arguing and that the customer is always right..
manager named kenny in yonkers ny
I love dollar tree not because you can find cute things. Today makes me not like the store very much. I went in the store today just to look not really to buy anything. But every time i go in the store i find something today was no different. After getting like 5 items i got online which seems to always be there unless you come when store first opens or is about to close. when i got up to counter i put my items up on counter i went to put the basket down Kenny told me to put it back at the front door First off he works for dollar tree not me . But i started to take it back till it hit me am doing his job so i said that i wasn't taking it back and he told me he wasn't going to serve me. he put his middle finger up at me and told me to tell corporate office which had just been there not to long ago. He didn't care this was his second job. I was only spending a dollar and that the store would make it up. But i was spending 5 plus tax and what about the 15 plus tax that i spent yesterday or the 60 i spent the week before. Or the 20 i spent two weeks ago. I think you guys need to let him go so that he can have more time for his first job.
OH yea i forgot he told me to go get my hair done.
employees
I worked store 3019 in arab alabama. I just purchased an umbrella for $65. I accidentally left it in the office when I went home. I only work here on the weekends because I have another job thru the week. I had called to quit the dt and to pick up my umbrella but someone had already taken it home. And no one will come forth and bring it back. If they’re stilling from employees/ex-employees what are the stealing from the company? I know it’s just an umbrella but it’s the principle they stole from a co worker.
store #4890
Store # 4890 Manager Colleen Burt . She is Gertrude and disrespectful on many separate occasions. I went there to pick up my in store order that was placed on 9/28/17. Mind you I got an email on 10/20 to pick the order up, that’s almost a month for an in store pick up of items already advertised and sold in store. I went in the same day I got email, Oder was not available. Waited until on day 10/23/17, went to the store, the manager there and Burt was walking around out of uniform pink shirt black bottoms on the phone talking loud throughout the store, she came over asked what name the order was under (she’s still on the phone) she said she has no order for me. I told her I came on Friday, your store associate said the order was there but the shipment was unpacked her name was Wanda. I told her I would come on Monday. Ms Burt said let me check again but she know she didn’t see anything (she still talking on the phone to whoever she was taking too) After 5 minutes she came back with one box ( she’s still on the phone) I looked through the box, and I told her a case of an item was missing. She put her arm on the box, leaned up with an attitude and said that’s all I have . I told her I’m a faithful customer of the Dollar tree and I have a business which is why I spend thousands of dollars with your stores, I said I placed the order you guys charged me already, I got the email, I been back and forth. Her response was our store dontsend emails and they don’t put the orders together, I told her I understand that but issue not an employee of Dollar Tree, a Manager at that and you’re not trying to help me. I told her I need to know when to expect the other items and that I wasn’t leaving until she gave me the information now. She said “who you talking to ? “ I told her “you”. All this time she is on the phone, being rude asking the person she is on the phone with if they can pass by Popeyes and if she can get hash browns. At that point I had asked her several times to look at the email so she can see the items and she refused, kept asking me over Andover what I ordered because she did not care nor was she paying attention to me at the time. She then stormed off for about ten minutes and came back with a case of the item that was missing. I asked for her full name, reporting supervisor name and number . She gave me her manager name as Alley Hansen and gave me a cell phone number to call . I called the store after I left when I realized she gave me a cell phone number, she answered, I asked her for a company phone number, she then seemed frantic and couldn’t find a number, then she gave me a number and I asked her what number she gave me, she then gave the phone to another manager by the name of Anna who gave me the information, again she was very rude, she didn’t want to speak with me becauss it seems like if she was more upset than me about the situation. This is unacceptable. I want to file a formal complaint against her, this is the 3rd time I have had an bad customer service experience with her and I don’t think you should have someone as unprofessional as her representing your store. My phone number is
sexual orientation discrimination, an malicious gossip
The comments from the second manager was made to another manager, two employees, an also two customers about getting rid of all the gays hired an convicts... Pictures was taken to start this process of harassment... I was informed of this, I asked to speak with the manager, she called my phone irrate, she was very rude.. She then became irrate with those who told on her, she continued to pick telling another employee that she was gonna get rid of everyone that she can not trust anyone up at work an we just wait an see, she also charged another gay guy up about being a convict... The head manager was contacted she became biligerent an told him she is not worried that he is a nobody when confronted with this, she came back to work, telling another employee an customers of getting rid of everyone by this point. I have contacted a lawyer.. An would like a response from corporate... This is a classic case of sexual harassment an malicious gossip with intent... Here's my phone number [protected] an my name is brandon thanks so much for your time
employee harassment for submitting a negative review
I visited the Dollar Tree on Home Depot Blvd. in Lake City, FL on October 22, 2017. I arrived at 8:57 am and noticed atleast five cars in the front lot as I pulled up. Some employees were walking inside the store and so I parked and walked up to the door to find that it was locked. I verified it was then past 9am. Another customer exited their vehicle and came over and informed me that the employees had been standing smoking and walked inside at exactly 9am, locking the door behind them. We watched employees moving around in the store and we stood at the door until it was opened at 9:07am.
By the time I arrived at the counter as customer number two, there were atleast five people in line and I alone had over thirty items and only one register was opened. As I exited the store I observed three employees sitting to the left of the door smoking what appeared to be cigarettes and I took a picture, went online to the Facebook page and provided a review.
On the morning of October 23, 2017, I began receiving Facebook messages from an employee who was apparently captured in the photo named Bee Cheshire who began harassing me about the review. She went back and forth calling me a liar for not mentioning she was on break after having worked since 3am. I explained to her that my review was absent any of the information only privy to her and was irrelevant with regards to the concerns I raised. She exchanged over 15 posts to challenge me for the review and it finally ended by my explaining to her that her harassing responses were unprofessional, unethical and she should be ashamed of herself for engaging in such behavior on the company's facebook page.
This behavior and harassment from an employee because a customer publicized the poor service received is just appalling. The employee should be fired for the exchange. Employees should not be allowed to smoke in front of the store. The store needs a policy on when to open more than one register to assist customers with a positive experience.
trash from dollar tree store
I am the store manager of the business located just north of your store located at 610 South 2nd Ave in Dodge City, Kansas 67801. Last Friday 10/20/17 was a pretty windy day in southwest Kansas. Your store had several boxes sitting on the south side of your building during this windy day. These boxes are now blown all over not only your lot behind your building but also on my lot behind my building. Myself and one of my employee's just cleaned up all around our lot on Thursday 10/19/17 and now all of these boxes are blown all over again. It does not make any since to me to have these boxes just stacked up outside so that they can blow all over the place. I think that your people need to come over and pick all of them up and dispose of them properly but not in my trash cans.
Thank You

poor service
They have a cashier I think his name is Paul. He is constantly soaking wet from sweat although it is not warm outside and he is not working hard at all. He is so slow checking out because he tells every customer about how broke he is and how many bills he has to pay. I'm sorry but we all have money problems. I didnt come to shop to listen to his. He talks and talks holding up the lane. His helpers have to come up all the time because he is wasting so much time the line builds up. He makes sexist comments about women and cleaning. He talks about his ex-wife. Despite all the times I've seen the managers talking to him he never changes. I am getting sick of coming because I dread the fact he may be working. Something needs to change
store manager (paz)
I went into the dollars tree store today at 2:14 p.m. and the manager Paz check me out but in the process he was very rude because there was a line of about 5 people one Checker open he comes and he says next in line which was myself I go up to his cashier booth and he starts waiting on another lady that comes into the store and said she forgot something I said to him can you finish me you call next so wait on me please he said I have to see what she wants okay so he went ahead and talk to her she left out the store he continues to check me out and then he realizes what the lady was looking for was laying right there by him so he says oh I have to go here it is right here and he gets my receipt lays it on the counter and he jumps over the counter and run out the door so I get my products and my receipt as I'm going out the door he's coming in and I said to him you were very rude you don't do customers like that he says I have to see what she wanted I said no but I was first you were supposed to see that I was finished and then wait on her he said have a good day and he went on behind the counter so I left out the store but for him to be a manager I think he's very rude he was a young guy his name was Paz and I asked the lady that was working next to him who was he she said he was the manager that's very poor customer service so if you could please check into that I don't know who he was I've never seen him at that store before I've been going there for four years and this is the very first time I had a situation so please handle it for me so I can continue to shop at the Dollar Tree near me thank you
rectifying charge errors
On 10/22/17, I was overcharged by $2.17 for 2 taxable Moisture Absorbent items that belonged to the customer behind me. I told the checkout clerk they were not my Items. She attempted to void them but was unsuccessful as I discovered as I reviewed my receipt as I was exiting the store. I told the clerk of the error and she summoned the Manager who told me to get two more items because she could not refund my money because I used a credit card. I refused and she state there's nothing she could do and walked away. Reluctantly, I picked up two Items that were not taxable. Therefore I was out the tax of $.17. My complaint is that her didn't care attitude and that I had to get two items I didn't want because of their error. I could take it out on their merchandise on my next visit or they can offer me a refund and an apology.
Disrespectful
I walked Into the dollar tree store on richmond avenue in staten island, NY and had my cart full of items I was going to buy. I am a very frequent customer to both locations near me and even bring friends with me to spend more money. As I was shopping around my 4yo son said he really needed to use the bathroom and was holding himself trying not to pee himself. My bf asked one of the girls going towards the back if our son can use the bathroom and she said "um we are not really suppose too, but can he can by himself?" He is only 4 and I am not going to have him walking around the back area by himself. She then said that she would bring him, which made it a little uncomfortable for me. Then before we even answered a "manager" from the back told the girl no. So she then turned to us and said that my manager said he can't use the bathroom. IF the bathroom was meant for an adult I would not have minded the "NO" answer, but for a little kid to be given that answer really upset me. I understand stores have policies but to deny a child use of the restroom is wrong. I left my cart there and walked out of the store, and will not be returning. My card came up as decline and the cashier suggested I may have put in the wrong pin number so I tried it again. It worked the second time and my total was three dollars and twenty one cents. I went to my car and checked my bank account on my mobile app. It stated I was charged twice but they still said "Pending" so I understand one of the charges may not charge, however, If I typed in my wrong PIN the first time, the charge should have never showed up on my account. Anyhow, I walked back into the store and the person blowing up balloons said she stated she was the manager. I told her what happened and she promised me the next day, the charge would be removed automatically. That is all I needed to know. She then asked me and warned, "I am not trying to attack you in any way or offend you but how often do you stand in line with your bank account open at the cash register line? I used to work at a gas station and people would always do this and then request their money back." Never once in my conversation with her did I ask for a refund, I asked if the charge would be removed and her reassurance was all I needed, not her absurd accusations and assumptions. Also, I did not stand in line with my bank account open, I went to my car and came back in to the store. Also, how would I intentionally decline my own card? If I had put in the wrong PIN number the duplicate charge should not have appeared in my account at all. I got very angry because not only did she have an attitude from the start, she asked me that in front of other customers at the front of the store by the registers and embarrassed. I asked to speak to a manager and she claimed she was the manager. How can you have a store run by a woman who is rude to a customer? I told her I did not appreciate her comments and she apologized. She stated that if the charge was not gone by the next day, to come back and she would take care of it. That is all she needed to say from the beginning. Not accuse me of trying to steal three dollars and twenty one cents from Dollar Tree. I was extremely dissatisfied with my visit, it was my first time going to that location and I will not return nor will I recommend it to friends and family. The customer service was awful and the experience made me feel awful.
It sounds like she apologized for having offended you. What other resolution were you looking for?
