granddaughter called and said that car was intermittently not starting. barb smith [protected]
She took the car to Hoffner Firestone in Orlando. Was told it was the battery. I paid 184.00 on my Firestone
credit card to get the car fixed. She then 2 days later could not start her car from work and was stuck
alone at 1 a.m. She is 19 years old. I then had the car towed to the Firestone on Curry Ford in Orlando
and me and the people who work there were shocked at the work that was done. I have paperwork from
them stating tie down not secured battery cables not cleaned contacts obstructed, etc. The previous amount
that I paid that was included in the work sheet. They also found that her starter was bad. So, they replaced
several things and I was charged another $306.00 for that service. Very unacceptable from a danger to a
young girl to be alone at night with a car that was not fixed properly the first time. I wish to speak to corporate about this situation.
sold tire/product I didn't need
I was traveling on the Turnpike in Palm Beach County Florida when my tire gauge light came on and my tire felt weird. I pulled off the turnpike to the nearest gas station which is right of the turnpike on Boynton Beach Blvd. I tried to put air in the tire but it came out. I called roadside assistance who towed my vehicle to the Firestone located at 9780...
Read full review of Firestone Complete Auto CareI was treated and talked to very badly at firestone
On November 3, 2018, I had gone to Firestone to get a tire rottion and balance. I plainly explained what service I wanted. However, the service person asked me about another inquiry I mentioned on a previous visit and he confused the two. WhenI saw the mechanic finishing, I asked the service guy did they peform my complete request. The person name was Todd, he got very loud and in an angry tone of voice agrued with me that I did not telling me I refuse the tire balancing. I made a written complaint on line and with in days the manager of the store Emmanuel Curry contacted me about the incident. Mr. Curry was very apologetic about the incident and he felt bad because the service person was just helping out in his store that day. Mr. Curry ask what he could do to make things right. I made my suggestions and Mr. Emmanuel Curry did what he said and even when we met he continued to apologize to me and he gave me a special deal and I was very pleased and happy. Mr. Currys response is what makes his customers come back and they know they can trust him and he will always be fair and true. All in store managers should take note and follow Mr. Curry's lead. I will continue to shop at the Firestone at 608 Valley hill Rd. Riverdale, Georgia because Mr. Curry will be there. While in the store I watched how attentived he was to all his customers and greeted them pleasantly. Please let Mr. Curry of how much he is appreciated at Firesstone.

tires, wheel alignment, billing & payments, customer service
Near the end of the Summer of 2018 I was looking for 2 or 3 tires for our 2011 Freightliner Sprinter cargo van with dual rear wheels. I contacted Firestone Tires after doing some online research and gave them a full description of the vehicle. The store in Natick, MA on Rte. 9 told me that they could supply and install the tires and perform the 4 wheel alignment. I left the truck there one day and picked it up the next day. I asked the service writer if the tires and alignment we done. He told me the work was completed and he handed me the documentation/bill. I wrote a business check for the billed amount, handed it to him, and drove to my office. At may office I took a closer look at the invoice. While reading it I concluded that the alignment had not been done but I was still billed for it. I returned to the store and spoke to the same service writer and he referred me to the store mgr. The store mgr. informed me that the alignment was not performed because their alignment equipment would not fit my truck. He told me that we would be refunded the amount of the alignment. We were refunded this in the next week or so. Then I had to spend more valuable time to take the truck to another facility to get the alignment done. I would have taken it to this place in the first place if Firestone had informed me that they could not perform the alignment. Then on my next bank statement I noticed back to back check debits for the same check # and the same amount with both payments going to Firestone Tire. I called the local store and the mgr. told me they must have somehow processed my payment twice and that he would see to it that we were refunded. I also called Firestone corp. offices and told me story to the appropriate dept. The woman also told me that she would contact the store and make sure we were refunded. 2 months later we had not been refunded. I then contacted my bank to report the duplicate payments. My bank told me that they would handle the situation and refund the appropriate amount to our bank account. The bank did refund us the correct amount and they must have informed Firestone also. This refund was approximately 90 days after my business with this Firestone store. I never recieved anything from the store or corp. offices appologizing or acknowledging their incompetent, unprofessional, near criminal behavior. Then four days ago I opened a piece of mail and it was a collection agency working for Firestone and they wanted to collect the amount of the duplicate payment which my bank had reversed. More incompetency. I phone the collection agency 3X one day and could not speak to anyone. I could only pay the claimed debt. The called me back two days later and I told them to do whatever they want but I am not paying them. If they hurt my credit rating I will sue them.
wrong size tires
Hi, on 28 of October went to Firestone Autocare Hazelton to change all 4 tires for my Touareg, V6, 2006 Tire no. 25560R17 and telling the lady, Rachel what I needed. She checked and gave me the price of 400$ that I liked it.
Not mentioning that I waited 6 hours for tires to be change, it was dark by that time, I had to leave in Elmira, NY so I paid the money and left.
Next morning I noticed the tires were the wrong size 22560R17. Called them back and they said bring them back and we are giving the money back. Changed the tires in Elmira and the very next Sunday went there and they didn't want to do anything with that. First the manager said the tires are used I cannot accept them, than that he didn't have my old tires to put them back than I asked to put the right size he said u don t have it.
He was protecting the lady and said it's not our fault, I'm guessing now what if you don't nothing about tires or cars what happens there?
Anyway I ended up with the wrong size tires in my garage and the most awful was the way the treated me.
They have a name to represent but they are ruin it. They have to satisfy the customers but they are lying to everybody.
I'm asking you for help, need my money back as I didn't know what to do more. I have to be punished for their mistakes and because they are unprofessional .
broke control arm both sides left and right big damage and a squeaky noise by the driver side
I brought my Jeep Liberty 2002 for service for the past 12 years to get service every time, since I got my car from the dealer this particular store is not diagnostic correctly the main problem, I been coming since last year with this squeaky noise the do all kind other repairs but the main reason why I took my car to this is shop still is the same, I pay last time 2300 dls por others issues, I pay and have the same problem
then now oct 17 this year almost can have a bad accident brought the car again tow my car and they repair it again 1500 dls cost me .
The noise after two weeks the same. Today is Nov 1 by 940am Bring my car and the technician give all kind of possible arguments that she doesn't know could be anything. So finally the mechanic drove with me the car and he said that could be other problem .
You can imagine my face so disappointing the technician at the front never come to me to say nothing just make wait already for another 30mins this is really bad customer service ever from this employee. I know I was upset but I'm feeling that they don't know what they been doing on this particular location . I'm going to contact customer service directly after this to file a formal complaint.
I hope they don't want me to charge me more money for this new check up . For been a customer for almost 13 years is so bad experience
inexperienced mechanic misdiagnosed / issue
I own a 08 Chevy Avalanche. I've been taking my vehicles to Firestone now for over 10 years and this has been the worst experience I have ever experienced. It all started when I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation at the Firestone Complete Auto Care, off Bob Wallace in Huntsville, Al. I'd like to add at that prior to me dropping my vehicle off it was operating fine no issues. I received the call stating my vehicle was ready for pick up, so as I was driving home I notices a lot of vibration in my front end that was not previously there. In addition to that I also noticed that my tires had not been rotated as instructed and informed that they were. So I then returned my vehicle informing the manager that I'm getting a lot of vibration and my tires had not been rotated. So I left my vehicle and received a call informing me that while they were NOW doing the tire rotation and balance that was supposed to had already happened, they noticed that my ball joints needed replacing, and suggested that I change my ball joints on the passenger side which I agreed to and they also suggested I replace the ones on the driver side, which I agreed as well, to include. upon pickup I was told all is good to go replaced ball joints and vibration gone. Again as I was driving home I noticed a lot of vibration in my front end. So now I am at the point where I have to return my vehicle for a third time with the same complaint that I am getting a lot of vibration in my front. So this time I drop my truck off for it to be kept for two days leaving me without a vehicle. So when I pick it up this time I'm again told its repaired and all is well. During the third time the manager replaced some type of torch bars on the front end at no charge to me stating that that was the problem and it is good to and there was no more vibration. I just so happen to be sitting in the waiting area and I watched the truck come off the lift and was taken straight to the parking lot without anyone doing a test drive validating that the vibration was gone only to be told again that it was. So now its the fourth time that I have to return my vehicle and when I did it this time I asked that the manager take a ride so I could allow him to experience the vibration that he was telling me was gone, which he never validated himself. So when I return it again its kept for two days to be only told by the manager that he did not have the right tech looking at my vehicle, which is not my job to determine which technician performs maintenance on my vehicle. So when I pick it up after the fourth time the manager offers for me to take it to the Chevy dealer and let them look at it, which I did. When I picked it up from the Chevy dealer I was informed that from the start it should have been diagnosed as an issue with the transmission and not the front end, it now cost $3700.00 to repair. Since my vehicle was misdiagnosed and I continued to drive it based on information I received from Firestone representatives my vehicle incurred additional damage. I feel betrayed by the Firestone Staff and have lost complete confidence in their ability to provide proper maintenance on my vehicles. I plan to share my experience with all those I know and on social media. At the very start when I noticed my tires were not rotated and was informed that they were may seem minor but in the big picture that's could have resulted in an possible accident and all the follow on actions just escalated my lack of confidence to ever take my vehicle back to Firestone. Keep in mind I had all the confidence in Firestone as they have been performing maintenance on my vehicles for the last 10 plus years. NO MORE FIRESTONE!

anniston alabama firestone complete auto care
My name is Amanda Rinehart. I made an appointment with the Anniston Alabama store for 3pm on 10/27/18 to have my car aligned. I arrived and spoke with a technician at the front. I gave him my paperwork because I had a 12 month alignment so this was to be at no charge. He could not find me in the computer until I gave him the papers. They took my keys and I took a seat to wait. 2 Hours later I got up to stretch and move around and noticed that my car had not moved. A gentleman came out and acted like he was going to move it. I asked him what was going on and he said something about being short 2 technicians. He evidently thought I was going to leave and said he would "comp" me an oil change. I explained that I had worked on this car for the last 4 days after working my job so that I could get this done on my off time. His name on the card was David Marrufo. He said they would get it in then. One hour later a technician came out to tell me that they couldn't get their machine to line up so my car could not be done. At this point I am very angry and someone calls the Oxford Alabama store and tells me that the manager said to come first thing in the morning and that they would find a way to compensate me for my time. So, I show up at 8:30 this morning and no one knows anything about it and I'm told I may be here until 3 this afternoon. I am highly pissed. I cannot continue to drive my car without this alignment. I have put 1 year and $2000 into my car. I have a job to go to. This is ridiculous and absolutely horrible "customer service". This is a small area and people ask opinions all the time when looking for a business for a particular service. Mine will be everything but positive.
damage caused by unqualified mechanics
About 2 weeks ago I brought my car in to the League City, Texas location for a rattling noise and new wheels. The manager there, James, told me the noise was from the intake manifold. They did not have the part in stock and told me they would have to order it. I asked if it would be okay for me to drive with the intake manifold in this condition, and James told me yes, it would be fine except the rattling noise would get louder. Okay, I said I could live with that a little while longer. I agreed to come back after the parts came in without setting an appointment date. No one said anything about needing to come back within any sort of timeframe at all.
On Friday my car started shaking heavily, misfiring, and the check engine light started flashing. I barely got off the interstate. When I had it towed back to the shop I told Chris (a staff member) that I was going to get a rental and come back for my car tomorrow. He said I didn't need to do that because they could get to it tonight. Great! That was around 4:00 PM. I expected a long wait. No big deal.
About an hour later the technician came in and told me the intake manifold that was shipped did not come with the right bolts so they were going to have to order them. Again, I told them that was fine, and I would call for a rental. Yet again, Chris said I didn't need to do that because James was going out to buy the bolts they needed. I waited for over an hour.
At this point it was about 6:30 when James came back and said he couldn't find the bolts. The rental car companies all closed at 6:00, and the shop was going to close at 7:00 PM. I asked why they waited until literally right after the rental car companies closed to tell me I would need to get a car. James said he had meant to do that but had forgotten. He suggested that I get an Uber or have someone pick me up. I live almost an hour away by myself and had no way for someone to come get me. I was also hosting an event in town early the following morning and needed to pick up some things on my way, so not having my own car was not an option
Another patron saw my grief and suggested we try the airport kiosk. James offered to drive me there. (All this time, my friend who flew in from Phoenix was waiting at a Starbucks for me to come get her.)
On our way to the airport someone called James and said he'd found an Enterprise office that was closer and had agreed to stay open until we could get there. Great! The rental car people were awesome, and I was out in 30 minutes. James told me they'd get to my car on Saturday and should have it ready to pick up by the afternoon.
The following morning as I'm on my way to the event, James called me and said it was more serious than they thought. Supposedly the car had been driven too long with a broken intake manifold, and it had caused significant damage. I would need a new engine. What?! I reminded James that he had told me driving the car with the broken intake manifold would be fine, but the rattling sound would just get louder. He said he thought I was coming back in a couple of days so that's why he told me that. Like I said, I was told the car was fine to drive, and no one made any mention whatsoever about coming back in a couple of days, nor did they give me any sort of timeframe at all! I wrongly made the assumption that James was a knowledgeable mechanic who had my best interests at heart.
I believe Firestone bears the blame for this damage and huge expense, not to mention the sheer inconvenience. I don't know much about cars so I had no idea what could/would happen. Had I known the severity of the damage and possible repercussions of driving with a broken intake manifold I certainly would've taken swift action to have the part replaced. Instead, because I was told it was fine to drive, I ended up broken down on the side of the freeway.
I have been a loyal Firestone customer for a long time and am highly disappointed in the performance of this staff. The damage caused to my engine due to the broken intake manifold and the subsequent rental car required should not be my financial responsibility. I expect to be contacted by Firestone to have the situation remedied very soon.
Still waiting on the call and it has been two weeks.
I too experienced a similar issue with the management at Firestone in Huntsville, Al. My cost to repair is $3700.00. My actions occurred over a three week period to only find out that I now have a $3700.00 bill that could have been avoided. I've yet to get a call from anyone as the site manager told me he did not get a chance to submit the claim. Did you get a call and how long did it take?

oil change
I dropped my car off on October 19 2018 at the Firestone in Crowley Texas. When I picked up my vehicle the service engine light came on and the dashboard completely does not work. So I called and spoke with Matt he told me to bring it in because when I dropped off the car it was fine. So when I brought it back in on October 20 the manager Danny spoke with me and he didn't show no care at all he suggested that it just could happen anytime. He said that he would look at it now when they called me back their telling me it was a sensor that went out and it's going to cost 444.00 a simple oil change turned into something that expensive is crazy.. I want my car to go back to how it was I don't have no 444.00 to fix it I need to know what I need to do I feel like they done something wrong and they need to fix it

customer service
I purchased my first set of tires from Firestone in December 2013. In June 2016 I had a blowout while driving on the highway. When I went back to Firestone they did not have my tires in stock and because my car is all wheel drive, I had to purchase another full set of tires.
Recently, my rear passenger tire has been losing air. I took my car in to the Firestone store located at 18701 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO 80013 on Monday, Oct 8, 2018. This is the same store where I purchased these tires. I was told they did not have time to look at the tire but, they added air to the tire and I made an appointment for the following Friday at 3 pm.
I arrived shortly before 3 pm the day of the appointment, I sat in the waiting area, right next to the window. I saw my car pulled into the bay, next to the window where I was waiting, at 3:28 pm. For the next 30 minutes I watched no progress on my car whatsoever. I did not see anyone looking at my tires, or conduct any inspection of my tire.
About 4pm the service tech came in, sat down next to me and said "your tires are shot." I stated, "There is a warranty right?" He said, "You only have about 9, 000 miles left on them." I responded, "That is not possible, they are only about 2 years old." The service tech stated, "It is only a 70, 000 mile warranty." Again I stated the tires are only about 2 years old, he looked me and said, "I checked that." I stated, "The tires were purchased in June 2016, after the original tire had a blowout." He stated he would check again.
When he came back his response was, "I don't know how I missed that, but you have only about 55% of the tread left, you need new tires. It will cost you about $378.00 for a full set." I asked "What about my tire, why is it losing air?" The service tech stated "I don't know, I didn't check it. It cannot be repaired." I asked "How do you know? You just said you did not check it." I asked him to add air and I would discuss with my husband.
A few minutes later the manager, or who I assume was the manager, called me to the desk to check me out. He told me my cost for today would be $21.59. I asked what the fee was for, he told me it was for the tire repair. I asked "You mean the tire repair that did not happen? By your own service tech's admission?"
The manager did not look at me or ask any questions, just said "OK" and took the cost off of my invoice and handed me my keys. I assumed by his reaction, he had heard the conversation between his employee and myself, along with several customers in the waiting area.
To add to this my mileage was not checked by anyone, just under estimated by 5, 000 miles and the tread underestimated as well, my tires should have almost 75% of tire tread based upon the mileage, from the time the tires were put on my car in 2016.
After coming home, I contacted the Bridgestone Retail Customer Retention, [protected] and spoke with a customer service representative. She took all of my information, was able to pull up my retail history and stated I would be contacted by a member of management, "Paul" and provided me with a reference number #2331892. She stated "Paul" would contact me within 48 hours. I still have not heard from anyone regarding this matter, and that all took place 4 days ago.
In summary, I went in to get my tire repaired twice at this Firestone. My tire was not repaired, and I was still at risk of a potentially unsafe tire on my vehicle. Is this common practice by this company or simply a business practicing questionable methods? Was I perceived as a woman that could be pressured into purchasing another set of tires that were not needed?
Regardless, I would caution anyone from patronizing this location and potentially this company, ESPECIALLY, if you are a woman.
service
I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with the customer service that is provided in the Milford de location. I had arrived at 5:10pm today following the online hours and they were closed. I attempted to speak with an employee in which resulted in him using profanities towards me! He said "there's a [censored]ing sign on the door why don't you go read it yourself!". I will not return to obtain service for any reason! I will also encourage others not to use this company because of the Unprofessionalism. It is unfortunate due to me looking for service but this is no place to use.
oil change 8
My son took our vehicle there today around 11:00AM for an oil change. David the service advisor/manager told my son that he would call him when the car was being service and then when the vehicle would be ready for pick up today. My husband called at 5:30PM and spoke to David the sales advisor/manager and David told him that the car would not be ready until 6:45PM. My husband questioned him about the closing time and he still promise that the vehicle would be ready before he left the shop today. Furthermore, David the service advisor called my son around 6:30pm to inform him that the vehicle would be ready in thirty minutes. My husband drove to pick the vehicle and arrived to the shop at 7:00PM and the shop was already closed. My husband was able to talk to another advisor that was there closing the shop and he stated that David the manager had left the shop early and that he was not sure why he would promise the car would be ready. The car was locked in the garage and unfortunately we coldn't take. We had been taking our vehicles to the shop for several years and we are extremely disappointed of the service we received today. Horrible customer service and false promises. Very unreliable shop and manager. Now we have to deal with them tomorrow and go to the inconvinience of dealing with them again.
brake service
On September the 29th 2018 I took my car to Firestone because of noise coming from my front brakes. I got the car back that evening and it was making the same noise. I took it back 3 days later they checked it and said they didn't hear anything and said they recommend me changing the back. So I did but with another mechanic. Now the noise is still there so today October the 10th I took it back again they said they still didn't hear anything. So I took the tech on a test drive with me so he finally heard the noise and said oh that's just the around of the metallic brake pad. Well that's the reason I took it to them so that was a wasted 400.00 because the car still sounds the same when I stop at red lights and stop signs. I will have another dealer check my front brakes to see if they really have been charged or not.
My phone number is [protected] and my name is KC Allen
services provided on 07/25/2018 and 07/30/2018
On 07/28/2018 I took my vehicle in because I was having an issue in the passenger side rear tire area. Firestone contacted me and said they had performed standard brake service (139.99) and replaced the front rotors (177.98). That service costs me $343.61 and I still had the same issue that I had when I brought it in. I took my vehicle back into Firestone on 08/8/2018 because I was still having the same issue. Stephan called and stated he had found the problem and he had never seen the problem before...it seems the control arm bushings had to be replaced that cost for 2 of them $255.98 and the labor was $252.00 AND I paid $17.64 for shop supplies. What shop supplies? I was never told what that was for. For all I know he could have bought lunch for himself. That total bill came to $548.19. When I went to pick up my car, I was told nothing else could be done with my vehicle because it was a transmission issue. I was a little surprised by the attitude of the woman behind the counter. Somewhat defensive...I hadn't said a thing at that point. I stated that no one had wver said there might be a transmission problem. Well, at that point I realized I had been taken advantage of, why, I have no idea, except for the age old belief that women don't know a thing about cars and let's take her for all we can. Unfortunately, I don't know about cars...that's why I took it you. I learned my lesson very well at this Fire stone and trust me my friends on the city councils of Live Oak, Universal City, Selma and Schertz, Texas have heard my story. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. I decided to do all of this because I trusted the people at Firestone to 1. fix my car and 2. Tell me if they couldn't, but that's not what happened. Those two services that did nothing to fix my vehicle came to a total of $891.80 and I would like a refund. I did not feel safe driving my car and finally got it taken care of at another business for about half at what I paid at Firestone.
Thank you...Sammie Hoefler

transmission repair and oil leak repair
On 22 Dec 2017 my vehicle was accepted by Fernando/Service Advisor at Firestone Complete Auto Care, 6901 Bandera Rd, Leon Valley, TX 78238 for the repair on the customer invoice of "Auto Transmission/Transaxle - Remove and Replace Transmission Assy, 7003240 Remove and Replace Transmission" for which I was charged $1295.00. On the courtesy check receipt handwritten in the notes block is, "Trans Fluid leak at LF axle seal worn internal axle differential assembly, replace front brakes, oil leak - oil pan gasket/seal". Prior to receiving this receipt I was contacted via phone to be informed of the work that was required, to which I agreed with the exception of the front brakes. The vehicle was returned to me on 27 Dec 2017 from this work. On 22 May I took my vehicle back for a standard oil change, state inspection, and continuous transmission issues. Reiko/Technician relayed to me that they do not work on transmissions to which I responded that Fernando had my vehicle transmission worked on. Because he was not there that day my vehicle could not have the transmission reevaluated. Also, on this day the customer receipt once again stated "oil leaks", to this they did not contact me and I did not give it any attention as I did not remember that fix in Dec. Due to schedules I could not return my vehicle for the more prominent issues stemming from the transmission work until 22 June. On that day I did a road test with Juan/Technician who verbally relayed to me that it needed transmission fluid. My car was once again kept, this time for over a week and not only was being worked on due to the transmission, but also for the latch and locking system on the rear gate/door, on this day Fernando gave me a ride home and I was given a handwritten receipt due to which I was told I did not need one due to the warranty on the transmission. Between the week I had my vehicle returned to me (week of 1 - 7 July) and 2 Oct my vehicle was still displaying transmission issues that were never there prior to the initial work. On 2 Oct when I was able to take my vehicle in again and to have my brakes done, I was once again told that there is a leak in the transmission and the oil. When I asked (Paul) what needed to be done to have the transmission leak corrected, I was told that nobody at the location could touch that work because the manager (Fernando) who initiated this work in Dec and has helped me up until 4 Oct was out of town and that I needed to speak with him when he returned. When I made verbal contact with him on the phone on 4 Oct he relayed to me that his Firestone location does not perform transmission work, that he did not know what I was talking about, that I did not know what I was talking about or who I was talking to, and that I needed to wait until the manager (Jesse) came in the next day at 3p.m. On 5 Oct (the next day) I called the location and asked to speak with Jesse and was told by Paul that he was off. I then asked to speak to an area manager to which I was told he is on the phone now let me put you on hold. After the hold, Fernando got on the phone and I asked to speak to Jesse again to which he replied, he will not be in till tomorrow, I then asked him to speak to an area manager to which he replied with, "ummm, you need to call the the Crossroads location for that information." I asked why he could not give me that information to which he replied, "I do not have that information." I contacted the Crossroads location and spoke to Pedro/Manager and asked him for the area manager information that oversees the Leon Valley location to which he relayed is not his area manager, but was able to take my information to pass it on via email so that I could receive a callback. At this point my vehicle still has transmission issues, a transmission leak, and an oil leak. What I am asking as a resolution is for a refund, the work to be fully corrected, to ensure there are no other issues stemming from the transmission not being corrected for 10 months and for the staff at the Leon Valley location to be held accountable. I have been a customer of Firestone for many years and have never received such irresponsible service such as this. I have attached the documents reflecting the issues I speak of.
I would greatly appreciate this issue to be corrected as my vehicle is still not in proper working condition and is my primary vehicle.
Thank You.
Respectfully,
Stephanie Ramirez
