When I had an engine problem correctly identified by the onboard car computer, I went to the store to have that specific problem repaired. I declined their pitch to pay $100 extra to have them analyze it. When I went to pick up my car the problem wasn't fixed. They acted like it wasn't their problem. Firestone Complete Auto Care remove and replace ignition coil c1543(invoice 154133 dated 11-19-2019)

I have written to you before concerning problems with my 2010 Hyundai accent and firestone. On 11-19-2019 Firestone on Montauk highway in W Babylon NY replaced 587.43 in parts. remove and replace ignition coil (Duralast Ignition) part C1543. I told the manager there and he stated if my check engine light wasn't on and the meter reads no codes he could not help me(I stated i put my meter on it and it read no codes.)(firestone charges 99.99 every time they put the meter on so i purchased y own) Coils should not go bad in 2 yrs. I ony have 65, 888 miles on my car and the furthest I have been with it is brooklyn. So I just had to pay 320.00 to have coils installed because the ones firestone replaced were no good.Explain this to me? I feel its a disgrace the way firestone rips off people with that meter charge. Advance and auto zone do it for free. And like me many people purchase their own meters but yet firestone personnel will not accept the readings from other people. I want to know what you are going to do about the coils that were installed in 2019 being I had to have new ones installed? A credit on my firestone card would be nice.I went to another mechanic and now will be going there in the future as I feel if a manager relies on a meter to tell him a problem, then he knows nothing about cars.

Firestone Complete Auto Care New engine

Took my car in .would not turn on.engine was locked.dashboards lights will come on.but no engine start.a used sonata 3 days after i got it this happens.mechanics at shop tell me its the third cylinder needs a new engine.meanwhile i call the used car dealership .say hey car is jacked up.they say hey u signed as is form no warranty.but they said we will make it right.if its a minor fix no problem we will fix it.this was prior of me knowing the diagnosis.i was visiting family 3 hours south away from home where the car brokedown.bought car 3 hours north of me.wouldve took me 9 hours a tow truck to take it back to dealership for their mechanic to look at it .what a mess i was in.firestone gave a us a quote 6, 800 dollars fir a used engine and labor.called dealership they like no way.they wanted to get tow truck take it up north .they said they can do it fir half tge price of quote but i have to pay half for everything.im stressed at this point.what a nightmare .dealership said theyll fax me a form .needed to sign to give permission forvthem to get car from firestone.3 days passed no fax .they wouldnt answer my calls.this time im like if they dont get tow truck firestone gonna charge me storage fees.im 3 hours away.so my father in law said ill just tow it home have a mechanic friend check it out.5 days later took him a while came back said it was the starter. It was replaced.low and behold 3 months later the car is running fine.all the stress and anxiety with firestone and the dealership was all because of these under par mechanics of firestone.i was even thinking of defaulting on my first payment and get the car repoed.my credit wouldve took the hit.i will just have to dispute the circumstancez.do not trust firestone either they dont know what they doing or they lie to the consumer just to make a buck.

Firestone Complete Auto Care about mycar care

on friday august the 27 i took my jeep in to have a nail taken out of the tire took it in a 800am an left they said they would call me when it was ready .no one had call me around 300 pm so i call them they said they were about to get on and hey would call when it was ready. so around about 530 pm they call and said it was ready i said we would pick it .when we got home my hubsand was outside doing something and call me out and told me they did not fix the tire the nail was still in it so he call the guy hat was a manger and told him it was not fixed . he then told my husband to bring it back in saturday morning and he did .when they took my car back and started working on it they then came back to my husband and told him then they did not have the right tool to take the wheel off.so he had to go to the dodge place and have the tire fixed it took them about one hour to get the tire off because they had missed up the lug nuts on the wheel when the up the tires on there about 2 years ago when we got new tires and id not tell any one .we would not known about this if we had not got a nail in he tire and in the meanwhile the have scratch up the wheels also . we had to pay out of pocked 30.00 dollars for the lug not that day and pay for the tire to be fixed
and spent half a day waiting for the to fix some one miss up. i have call in so many time and they say some one will call you with in 24 to 48 hours and no one ever call so i keep calling over and over again and again so today i found this and said i was going to try this to see what happens

I was charged $69.27 for a flat tire repair, when it should be only $29.99. I was told there two nails and I would be charged for each nail!!! I showed my car to other firestone locations and was told that I was ripped off and there is no such thing as charging per nail!!! I was already charged more for a high profile tire because a regular tire would cost only $19

Firestone Complete Auto Care Last minute cancellations

Firestone located at 3720 E 120th Ave, Thornton, CO 80223

This is the 2nd appointment that I set up on line that they call me just prior to my appointment and tell me that I have to leave my vehicle. When I set it up online, I specifically say I will be waiting. I can understand 2 hours but 4 hours for rotation of tires, and an alignment. I may be a woman but I know it doesn't take that long. I have one vehicle and I set up the time that works with my schedule that's why I do it ahead of time.
Are inconsiderate of peoples time, and they are rude about it.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Warranty for water pump

I took my vehicle in for a blown water pump which I had a warranty for. They called me and told me I had to get a new thermostat and that the warranty wouldn't cover it. They charged me the price of the Thermostat and full price for the labor even though they had it all off for the warranty work. All they had to do was undo 2 bolts for the thermostat housing switch out the thermostats and put the 2 bolts back in and they charged me over an hour of labor for that. I feel like this is taking advantage of people that don't know what's going on.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back for the labor that I shouldn't have had to pay

I went in normally and asked to have a tire replaced. After the tire was replaced, I was never called to check out. They left my car in the service bay with no one around it, so I had to ask if my car was ready. Only after this, did they say my car was ready. Firestone Complete Auto Care Inspection and tire service

I have been a customer of Firestone for over 20 years but not anymore. First of all when I went to get my car inspected in December 2020 I was told that my exhaust system needed to be replaced at a total of $800.00.
I took it for a second opinion and found out that just 2 pipes needed soldered. This saved me $ 650.00 and made me completely mistrust Firestone.
This week I went to another tire company to have 2 tires replaced only to be told that one of the lug nuts had been seized and it needed a stud replacement for $ 84.80. I feel I should be compensated for this since it was a problem caused by Firestone.
I spoke to the store manager who gave me no satisfaction saying I had no proof. He looked up my records and did see a tire rotation done in December but refused to listen to reasoning.

You have not only lost my business but also my daughters, sons, son-in-law, sister and brother-in-law plus many others I have referred to you.

Ever since the store manager in Exton Pa., Andy, left the service that has been provided has been inferior and I feel that because I am a women I am being taken advantage of.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Part broken

I took my care for an oil change and the part that holds the oil filter was broken there. The technician did not say anything, but when I went to do another oil change other technicians were not able to do the changed because of this part broken. Since then I haven't been able to do an oil change in my care but just put reg oil to it so it doesn't break. None of the less, my care is not working well and I need this part to be replaced with a good one.

Incident done in 2020 (during the pandemic)

I did not complaint before because I didn't know, and I wasn't going out too much because I am a person at risk of the Covid-19. The change of oil took place in the Firestone located at:

Please send me an email in rewards to this, I need that part fixed my car is not working well because of this. I cannot provide you with a picture of the part because is inside the car.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Repair to my Ford Explorer

took my 2015 Ford Explorer to my local Firestone on Aug 6th. I had a local mechanic put in a new water pump and he messed it up. Sam called me a few days after I dropped my car off and said it was missing a dip stick and the timing chain was put on incorrect. He gave me a rough estimate and said after they looked further he would let me know more. I called the following week to touch base and Sam was gone. I spoke with Dustin and he had no idea what was going on with my vehicle. Called once again to check and Sam was gone and again no one knew what was going on. So finally, Sam called me on Wednesday, Aug 18 and said he was contracting the work on my car out and the new mechanic guy wanted to replace more parts on my car for $1300. I told Sam no go. I am a single mama and money is very tight. I was kind of upset about how long it took him to get back to me and then wanted more money. I spoke with him in the afternoon and still no work got done. So I called Thursday morning, Aug 19 at 7:30 am and told Sam I would like my car back and I would pay what I owed from that point. He said he could not do that because my car was taken apart and they were over half way done. I questioned him on the timing of all this. Since then I have heard nothing. Called this morning, and he said Dustin was out of town and so my car still was not done. I questioned his motive on why he didn't just give me a car and this felt like a scam. I told him that this is ridiculous and he had more excuses. I am not happy at all and feel like I shouldn't have to pay for poor service and basically holding my car hostage.

Firestone Complete Auto Care CFNA Firestone Card - Unethical Billing Tactics

Never was sent my bill on time. I was consistently sent a past due balance which included a late charge. Also, the letter was always backdated giving you no choice but to pay asap which included the late fee and a quick pay convenience fee by doing so online or over the phone. On top of this, all services I had done on my vehicle at Firestone were terrible. It took them 3 attempts to do an alignment which they never succeeded in handling blaming it on an issue with the way the roads slope. Even better, after having my brakes, done front and rear, within a few days I had to have it towed back as the driver side front boot had come completely off and was laying on the inside of my rim grinding away. I made multiple attempts to get this addressed through corporate which got me nowhere. I've now been hit with a charge off to my credit report every month for years now which is the only negative thing consistently dropping my credit score. All of this over a measly $1k or less which I cannot justify paying due to the charges for services that neither fixed nor solved my reasoning for bringing my vehicle in to begin with.

Desired outcome: Eliminate the full balance and report all negative remarks as inaccurate.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Rear axel bearings replaced, not done correctly, now leaking making the car undrivable.

On 17 July 2021, I called Firestone at 1701 N. Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 for a rear end noise issue. I asked if said Firestone had the capability to repair the issue by Monday, 19 July 2021, to which Firestone service personnel, Cesar assured me that it would be done, and an estimate would be provided. I received a phone call from Cesar with the estimate and the details of the repair. I again reiterated the need to have the vehicle by Monday, 19 July 2021. Estimate detailed that all the rear differential bearings of the truck needed to be replaced, and that it would take one day to perform repair. I approved the repair, and Cesar stated that I would receive a call when the repair was completed. On 19 July 2021, another Firestone service personnel, Bryce (Manager) called to inform me that they had received the wrong parts and that the right parts would take another day . Furthermore, if they were unable to repair the vehicle, they would have the vehicle towed to Ford at Firestone's expense. In the latter case, the Firestone bill would be $0, and I would have to deal with Ford. On this same day, I visited the Firestone repair shop, where Bryce showed me the old parts and the truck. Vehicle was disassembled, making it impossible to take possession of the car (drive it out). After further discussion with the Firestone manager, they lowered the bill and would let me know on 20 July 2021 if Firestone could obtain the parts and repair the vehicle. On 20 July 2021, they called and said the vehicle was ready for pickup, repair was completed. Bill was paid in full and an attempt was made to retrieve vehicle, however the center console would not turn on, and Firestone could not get it to work. The console was working when brought in for rear end issue. Additionally, Firestone informed me that they had reused part of the old broken parts to reassemble the vehicle and that it would be covered by a 12 month, 12, 000-mile warranty. I called Firestone corporate and obtained a case number, 2552968. Firestone corporate told me not to take possession of the vehicle, to leave at the Firestone location, and that they would contact me in 48 hours. On 7/21/2021 Firestone called and said that center console was repaired and that the truck was ready for pickup. No one from Firestone corporate ever called me back about the case. I was on travel and did not use the vehicle until 10 August 2021. Upon my return on 8/10/2021, I drove the vehicle. I noticed that the truck started was making noises from the rear end. Then I found liquid on the driveway floor, it was differential oil leaking from the rear differential. I again called the corporate number [protected]) and using the same case number 2552968 told them what was going on. They informed me that the regional manager would contact me in 48 hours. On 8/13/2021 I called corporate again to inform them that no one had contacted me to which they responded that my case would be elevated to a corporate matter and that someone would call in 72 hours. On 8/17/2021, I called corporate again to inform them that no one had contacted me, and they said that someone would contact me from corporate in 48 hours. On 8/19/2021 I called Firestone corporate again, and informed them that no one had contacted me, and they informed me that this case number would now be elevated from a regional matter to a corporate, which is what they had told me the previous two times, which I reiterated that statement to them. They informed me that was not the case and reassure me that someone would call in 3-5 business days to resolve the matter. I am still waiting to be contacted, to have some form of resolution for the vehicle is not drivable, and I am without car and out of $815.16 and perhaps and bigger future bill to address additional repairs needed.
