Firestone Complete Auto Care Service

I scheduled an appointment March 22nd for my vehicle breaks to be replaced for March 26th at 10:00 am via online. I was contacted by a local employee wanting to get more information about the repair that day and they stated that they would also do a diagnostic check to see if there are any other necessary repairs that may be needed based on the mileage of the vehicle as well. I was contacted and asked that I possibly bring my vehicle in or drop off as they were down to only 1 mechanic working that day. I arrived to drop my vehicle off at 9:00 am on March 26th. I was advised that would get to my vehicle as soon as possible. I received a call later that day that they were unable to complete the review of the vehicle but would make sure to make it a priority the next day, Monday, March 27th. Monday comes and I receive a call late morning telling me of the repairs that would need to be made a suggestions of additional services. Agreed was to replace both front breaks, front left caliper repair and the rear differential was leaking and needed repair. The employee offered a discount if I was to use the Firestone CC, which I did not have but agreed to apply for. Everything done over the phone and was told they would have the chargeable amount once I came in to pick up my vehicle. Once off work I was able to get a ride to go and pick up my vehicle. Arrived, signed paperwork and paid for the repairs (over $1000). The employee returned advising that my vehicle had not been worked on that day, and was not completed. Nothing had been done except the review of what work would need to be done. Even though I had already agreed to the repairs and paid for the services over the phone. I was advised that someone had tried to contact me 50 minutes to close to advise me, which I did not see until I had already arrive at the location. I asked if there was anything that could be done since the vehicle was not completed, and I had not been contacted earlier, and was told there was no discounts that could be applied, as I was given discounts with applying for the Firestone CC. I left without the vehicle and had to attempt to make arrangements again for transportation the following day to pick up my vehicle. I was told again that my vehicle would be made a priority the next day, March 28th. I asked what time the vehicle would be done and advised could be done by 12:00pm. March 28th I receive a call that the vehicle was being worked on and it would be closer to 1:00 pm before it would be done. I made arrangements to leave work early and get a ride to pick the vehicle up. As I arrived at the location I noticed the vehicle was not outside, but inside still on the lift with all the tires still removed. I had not received any phone calls from this location since the call that morning that the vehicle would be ready closer to 1:00pm. I walked in and was told to wait for someone. I was walked out into the garage to my vehicle to be advise that the main break line had broken and they had to replace it. They wanted to assure me that the vehicle had been worked on, and that everything had been completed except this new repair that needed to be made. They advised it would take 20 min to 1 hour, and that I would not be billed for this repair. I advised that I could not wait as I have to pickup my child and other commitments that evening so we left again. I received a call later that same evening on March 21st, advising that the line that they had was the wrong size, and after they checked with a dealership they were told those lines were on back order and would need to try and obtain a universal one to use. I was told again I was a priority as now they would need to involve others since they (Firestone) were now paying for the mechanic. I asked what time I should call the next day to verify the status of the vehicle and was told around 9:30. I called March 28th to verify that the vehicle would be completed. I was advised that a manger was somewhere at that time picking up the parts needed to do the repair. I received a voicemail at 1:36 advising the vehicle was done. I arrived approx 3:15 to pick the vehicle up. I got a description of what happened again, but nothing else was offered for the poor communication and all the time that I had put into coming and going basically each day to their office. On my drive home I had my parent follow me because knowing what had happened with the break line as a precaution, and my car was only “test driven” less than 4 miles after all the work was done. She advised me that the bottom underside of my vehicle looked red. When I arrived home I looked at underneath the bottom of my vehicle and there was an orange substance wiped all over the rear differential cover and on the other bars of the vehicle. After climbing underneath to see what it was, it was the silicone the mechanic had used to seal after they repaired the rear differential they stated was leaking in my original quote. To say I was less than angry would be an understatement. I contacted their office March 30th and spoke to Kat and she again apologized and mentioned being surprised they didn’t use black coloring to seal it. Also, after getting my vehicle back it showed the vehicle was driving only 4 miles to “test” drive it and make sure everything is driving correctly. Now, after over 100 miles of highway and city driving in the rain and shine my breaks are now squeaking while breaking.

After all the poor communication and handling of the repair I would have been under the impression of whoever was in charge would have inspected the vehicle better and had the mechanic clean up the mess that was created. This was my first experience with Firestone and I even got a credit card to pay for the services provided, which overall I consider extremely disappointing. I will not return, nor will I recommend family or friends to have their vehicle services there.

Desired outcome: I would like some type of reimbursement for the lack of communication which made at least 2 trips unnecessary. I paid over $1100 for these repairs, and for what seems like intentional damage to my vehicle that was not necessary.

After I submitted this complaint I had my vehicle looked at by another mechanic due to it making a noticeable sound while accelerating. I was advised by 2 different mechanics that the brake line and ABS line that were installed last week at this Firestone were installed incorrectly! The actual line was installed at the wheel basically backwards and upside down to where the hose was hanging down and not attached. A complete safety hazard! Also, break line into the ABS under the hood was just haphazardly put in where the line was rubbing on another break line. I have reluctantly returned it to Firestone last night in order for them to repair this mistake today. My front passenger side differential axle is now leaking completely noticeable now, so unsure if this is something that happened after they worked on the brakes on that side as well. I have again now had to take more time away from work, find transportation to and from this location. I am angry at this point with all of the awful work that was done, and I refuse to let them repair anything else. I will be taking it to another mechanic to make sure that these repairs were done properly this time, but also to make sure that nothing more is intentionally or unintentionally done to the vehicle that may compromise its performance.

Firestone Complete Auto Care My suv plastic that covers tires

I took my car for oil and filter change on March 24, 2023. After I picked up my SUV . I noticed that they had cut without notifying me or getting an approval the plastic that protects my tires. i took my car back i had one of the representatives in front desk named “Dean”signed a paper where he said that they were ordering what they had cut off and they were going to replace it. After around 2 days I go back to follow up , the same representative who has signed me my receipt stating that they were going to order and fixed it told me that the store manager denied to order the pieces and refused to fixed it. That’s really unprofessional because if they agreed in the first place is because they know they did it wrong. Second they cut of plastic that they should of not been cut off and specially without noticed or approval from me. If this doesn’t get fixed and resolved i will reach out to my lawyer I should not pay for this mistake they made and specially if they signed my receipt and wrote they were going to order and fixed what they did. This manager and this store is not taking responsibility of their mechanics actions and it’s inappropriate.

Desired outcome: Order pieces missing”plastic on bith aides and fix it” at NO COST.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Customer service and lies and so rude

First if all, I went to make an appointment and they told me they were completely booked for Saturday. When I went to make an online appointment for Saturday, I realized they DID have openings and my car could be worked on. They are supposed to close at seven and i call at six to see if my car is done. No one called. They lie again and say they did call, THEY DID NOT. And i say give me fifteen minutes to get there and they tell me they're not going to wait for me because they're walking out the door. And they're supposed to be open till 7:00 and they would not wait for me knowing I need my car and they just hung up on me. Very rude, selfish, lying, not compassionate, not patient, not serving the clients. I want snd deserve an apology and some type of recompensation because he hung on me and left me without a car on a Saturday night.

Desired outcome: A credit and an apology

I was asked when I needed my vehicle I said I had to have it that day. I was told to pick it up. I did I didn’t realize that they had damaged my oil filter adapter housing until March 27 when I took it in for an oil change after the oil change light came on. This cost me $789.54 to repair.

Desired outcome: Repay me $789.54 for the damage they caused to my van.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Paid and and not fixed 908.00 now refuse to fix and no refund car not working

They quoted me a price to diagnose and fix my car. I paid the price and when I went to pick the car it was not fixed. I paid 908.00. Then they said that it was out of gas. They refused to put gas in it so I ended up having my son bring gas. It still did not start. Then they said come back tomorrow when the mechanic is there. They said if they could not fix it they would give my money back. I went there and the mechanic was off. They told me to co0me back the next day and I did. They now said it is a problem with the key but that was not in the original diagnosis so I told them i want my money back. They refuse to give me my money back and said to pay and additional 450.00. I said no. You hooked it to the machine, I have the codes that says what is wrong and now you are saying something else after I paid you.

They are holding my car and refuse to give me a refund

I am contacting the local news stations consumer investigations and the major networks

They also discriminated against me by taking care of a white male that arrived after me. I have it on camera and witnesses

Desired outcome: REFUND

Firestone Complete Auto Care Charged $199.00 for work that was completed by the dealership, not by Firestone

This is my 5th notification. Naomi Wade Acc't # [protected]. I just got a note from the bank that is charge of my charge-- they are ripping me off, also. I did get a late fee 1st time, because I did not know my due date. I accept that. But now they take a $40.00 late fee out of every pym'nt, even though it is sent by the date in time for my due date. Tha check is dated by the bank for my due date. I don't know what their procedure is, but they are not given me credit for the whole pym'nt. This has happened every month. I started paying $100. 00 a month, even though my payment was set at $26.00, or so. I wanted to get it paid early -- & was hoping for the $199.00 credit - which obviously is not happening. The last 2 pymnt's were only $75.00, because nothing was changing. IF I would get credit for the whole pym'nt, I would get it paid off & be 'out of you all's hair'. But I am being cheated by Firestone & NOW by the bank they use. Yes, I AM going to let them know-- But I don't expect any more positive turn out than from them than I have gotten from firestone. This whole thing is NOT a good PR 'adventure.' I am 84 yrs old & have never been as disrespected by any company as I have been by this one. I am NOT rich - I still have to work out of necessity, not 'pleasure'. I pay my bills on time. This is RUDE!

Desired outcome: Still waiting for the credit of $199.00 for the work that was finished by my Mazda dealership. I gave them 5 'opportunities' of MY time-- waiting & reading in their 'space'. They ignored me.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Auto repair

I had an appointment at Firestone store 011495 the Orange Park location today for a headlight replacement for my 2012 Cadillac CTS. The shop had was clearly over booked with customers. Only 2 technicians were on duty for the day. I was told my car would take some time for the repair due to the type of vehicle after waiting over an hour. Then I was asked if the vehicle had HID headlights. Not sure why the shop could not find that information out but whatever. Then I was told if the headlights were HIDs the shop could not replace them. After 2 hours the shop could not confirm the type of headlights in my car. Which I’m sure were halogen and not HID. I was told if the car had HIDs after taking it apart then I would be charged, so I asked for my keys. Over 2 hours of my time was wasted, If you couldn’t make the repair then I should have been told in advance. Also, it’s not my problem if you over book clients and it should not matter how much time the repair takes because I had an appointment. It’s not difficult to figure out if a car has HIDs or halogen headlights. I will be taking my vehicle and business to another shop. The store has also lost out on a tire sale as well.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Vehicle Diagnostic Request Misunderstanding

On March 15TH, 2023, I made drop off appointment with the 1340 Travis Boulevard store; On my initial call I told Art, the Service Advisor, my "Service Engine" light, (see attached photo), was on, & the vehicle's engine was idling roughly.

As a result, I was sold a battery that I may or may not have needed, as the Store's manager told me that is not what the vehicle was doing when I brought it in; I have been a customer of firestone for the past 17 years, my receipt says "no symptoms" -I requested an engine diagnostic check-instead I was sold a battery!

Desired outcome: Give me a free engine diagnostic check and operate this particular store with INTEGRITY!!

Firestone Complete Auto Care Inability to diagnose and repair brake problem.

I took my car into Firestone 1063Boston Post Road in Milford Ct 06460. The car a 2016 Rav 4 was bucking when I applied the brakes Firestone manager told me that there was nothing wrong with front brakes and told me that I should buy new tires which was false they then replaced the rear brakes which there was nothing wrong with them in the first place. They also did a Road Force Balance for 170. $ which did nothing and also made the car drift to the right heavily when you removed your hands from the wheel the tech that was riding with me said its only the pitch of the road which was utterly ridiculous. I left the shop paying a total price of $467.47 and the car was the same as I brought it in. This was on 3/14/2023. I went to Toyota Service Center on March 17,2023 and they found that the rotors were out of round and machined them and that the front brake pads were cracked and replaced them this was after Firestone said there was nothing wrong with them. I paid 467.47 for nothing and had to pay Toyota $ 552.59 and the brakes were repaired correctly. I'm looking for a complete refund from Firestone

Desired outcome: I'm looking for a complete refund of $ 467.47 for work charged and never done. The Firestone Invoice number is 353762

Firestone Complete Auto Care Auto repair

Firestone

Steer clear of this place

Get a tow or whatever you need to go to ANY OTHER REPAIR SHOP.

I took my BMW 128i there shortly after I moved to Florida. You may be thinking “ well she should’ve known better than to take that there” . I most likely would have gone elsewhere but had been using Firestone in Centennial, Co. for awhile and they did good work.

The cam position sensor had come up as service soon before I left Denver but went away until November. It started acting up so took it to Firestone on 14th St. in Bradenton. They replaced sensor. Service engine light still on when I picked it up. Occasionally it takes car couple days to recognize new part. It got considerably worse. Took it back in . They said it now needed crank shaft sensor. Had them put it in. First one was defective. Had it 2 days. Picked it up service light still on. They told me it probably would be as they had drained battery testing part. Well car started throwing off codes for everything. They sent me to another one of their locations that without even looking at car said it was drive chain‼️ I knew it wasn’t as that makes a lot of noise. So called around found another shop.

They let it sit for 5 days total telling me they were having trouble getting help. It was a German auto shop. Finally I went and picked it up. Took it to German Auto Services. They discovered that they can sensor was NOT EVEN INSTALLED ALL THE WAY INTO cam shaft! It was literally hanging from it! I have no idea how car even started.

So had to have diagnostic and computer reboot. Then cam & crank shaft sensors redone. German Auto Service took pictures of “ hanging sensor “ & striped screw that was shooting oil all over. I contacted firestones corporate offices. They were supposed to have regional manager contact me. Instead they had store manager call. Of course they denied everything. I said I had pictures. Still denied but offered me $250. ‼️ It was just shy of $900 that I paid them‼️ another $900 to get it fixed plus $230 for diagnostic & reboot‼️ so a month of frustration, all together over $2000 for what should’ve been $900 PERIOD‼️

I’ll never even let them check my tires again‼️

You can also see this review on : yelp, facebook, google, trust pilot, BBB

Desired outcome: Complete refund plus the $230 for diagnostic & computer reboot

Firestone Complete Auto Care Auto repair by firestone

On 12/05/2022 i took my 2012 Dodge Ram to Firestone Complete Care at 4630 Dacoma Dr., Houston, TX to have the left headlight repaired. They said they needed to replace the whole headlight unit because of a short in wiring. When they installed the headlight unit, they used a tie-wrap on one side to secure light to truck. When i had to replinish the water in windshield washer fluid tank on 3/7/2023 i noticed this. On farther inspection i found headlight was loose and tilted down down causing headlight to be out of alignment. This is unacceptable.

Service invoice Number is 317377. I will be returning to store on 3/10/2023 to see about getting this fixed. I don't know what they did or broke to cause them to use a tie-wrap to secure light, but i am sure it should not have been done.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Tire

File Number: 2704083. I spoke with two representatives in the last two weeks. They stated that a district manager will reach out to me, within a few days. Until this day, no one has contacted me about my issue. I bought a set of tires in August 2022 and I also purchased the road hazard. I have been doing business with Firestone for over 20 years, no one has NEVER explained the road hazard to me. I had an issue with my tire on February 18, 2023., took it in to get replaced, and the representative at the store( in Madison, MS on Hyw. 51) stated that the problem with the tire is not covered under the road hazard. So I purchased a new tire and applied it to my account. The representatives/workers put a different tire on the vehicle. I did not realize that it was a different tire on the car, until Monday. She did call not or tell me that, there is a different tire on the car( in other words, she did give me an option)! If they did not have the tire in stock, she should have told me so.

I can be reached at [protected]. Andre Nathaniel. email: [protected]@yahoo.com

Firestone Complete Auto Care Repair Service

As much as I do not want to complain, I feel I have no choice. Today, March, 5, 2023, I called the store at 1501 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon Fl 33511. After being informed by the manager that to bring in the vehicle at 9 am, I did just that, arrive, exactly at 9 am. with my grandson. We were told it would be a couple of hours. The manager, John...could not get last name because he refused to come to the front to explain himself, instead he kept on send someone in his place, telling the person (Emorora?/receptionist) that they could not get to my car. This was after 6 hours, and calling for status every hour for almost 6 hours. I find this incident unprofessional and for the first time finding and asking myself why, not just give the customer a call but no, they waited almost 6 hours after telling us it would be a couple of hours. I have numerous repairs at this facility along with much $.

Desired outcome: Retrain Manager and receptionists in CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Front driver side making a rotation noise

Scheduled an appointment for a technician to find out where a rotation road noise was coming from, which was coming from the driver front side of the car. A few hours later I received a call saying that my front brakes were worn and my rotors needed to be turned. No one said anything that the noise was coming from the brakes so I figured that it was where it was coming from. So after the brake service was completed I drove the car home and the noise that I came there for was still there. I called in to find out why it wasn’t fixed and the manager said that he would take care of it. I saw a work order that was sent via email at no charge. So I figured that it would be taken care of. I received a call a few hours later saying that the charge to repair the front wheel bearing would be another $400.00 dollars. I was shocked and disappointed that this was even presented. I’ve been a customer for over twenty plus years and because of this I would must say that I will not bring any of my cars as well as recommend any one for any Firestone stores. They should have actually analyzed and pin pointed where the noise was coming from and then recommend the options so that I can choose which action to take. Instead of saying that it was the brakes and being charged $400.00 for something that I didn’t have to be done at that time.

Desired outcome: Take care of the original request

Firestone Complete Auto Care Repair of our 2008 Ford Fusion for overheating/no heat issue.

Brought our car in for an overheating issue and no heat in cabin on 1/9/2023. I suspected it may be a bad thermostat and asked them to replace it. Went it on 1/10 to check if car was fixed as I received no phone calls. Car was finished, drove car home and in less than an hour of having car back, no heat and car still overheating. 1/11 Brought car back and explained that still having same issue. Was told by Gary the salesman, you said to replace thermostat, we did that. I said, I suspected it was the thermostat but I'm not the mechanic and that my car is still not fixed, how could you give me a car back that is till overheating and has no heat. He stated they tested it and it was fine, again I said I haven't had the car an hour and it's doing the same thing. Gary, by the way, was treating me very rudely. Johnny, the manager, steps in and says the same thing about the thermostat and that they would need to run diagnostics. I'm very upset but have no choice, I need my car fixed. They run the, so called, diagnostics and tell me it's an oil leak that is dripping on a temp sensor. The oil leak needs to be fixed and the temp sensor would need to be replaced. 1/12 car dropped off to replace parts they say need to be replaced. 1/14 car picked up after parts replaced. Car not overheating and has heat. Daughter drives back to school 40 minutes away. Car not driven for multiple days. 1/26 daughter drives car to store and calls home stating car doing exact same thing again (overheating and no heat). Call Firestone to let them know, they say bring it back. 2/3 bring car in. Multiple days go by no calls regarding car. Call 2/6 to inquire about car was told air in lines, bled system car is working fine. Pick car up. Daughter takes car back to school where it sits until 2/17 when she comes home for the weekend. Calls again saying she has no heat and car is overheating. Call Firestone again was told to bring it back. Drop car off 2/18. Call multiple times during the week to inquire about the car, told 2 separate times they think it's a bad head gasket, but they still need to run more tests. No call the rest of the week. Go into Firestone on 2/25 to inquire about car. Gary begins to tell us car in for courtesy check and I state, "courtesy check?" You guys never fixed the problem, this is not a courtesy check. Gary again becomes hostile with me and calls me rude and that he will not deal with me. Calls Johnny in from home. Johnny finally comes in and now begins to tell us it needs a water pump and would cost $971 to replace. This is after the $1070 we've already paid to replace the thermostat, gaskets and sensor. We ask how was this not found in diagnostics. Johnny states that it's an old car and things break. We tell Johnny how are we supposed to believe anything you say now. Everytime we come in you tell us it's something different. I then asked Johnny do you feel comfortable about charging us $1100 and giving us back a car that has the exact same issue we brought it in a month ago and 4 trips back with no resolution? He says no and we should now take it to another shop for a second opinion. So now Johnny expects us to pay somebody else to diagnose the car. Needless to say, we are very unhappy. Poor service and hostile employees. So when we received the survey about our service the next day, I of course leave a bad review. 2 days later we receive a call from Johnny, and he says that his boss saw that we left a bad review and was told he needs to try to resolve it. Johnny asked us if we have made a decision as to what we are going to do with car about getting a second opinion. We tell him, no not yet we are still not sure. Johnny tells us that we've had 2 days to decide. Both my wife and I are on the call, my wife they tells Johnny that you had the car for a week the last time not to mention all the times before and couldn't figure out what to do yet you expect to figure out what to do in 2 days. My wife also states that 1 of those days was Sunday and many places are not open Johnny repeatedly cut my wife off and was very hostile towards both of us. Johnny finally ends the call with do what you are gonna do. I would also like to state in all this time of dealing with them over our car we were never told they are sorry for anything and only told that we need to give them more time. This includes the follow up call from Johnny.

Desired outcome: Full refund of all expenses due to fact that our vehicle was never fixed and is still not. This leaves our daughter at school without a vehicle and we have to drive out to get her if she needs to come home.

Firestone Complete Auto Care Rip off, indeed

This is the 3rd-4th time I have written, because there are no signs of 'restitution. In Aug, I went to my local Firestone because my engine light came on. I had been there many times, for menial tasks. I trusted them. They did a 'diagnostic' & told me I needed a new 'cabin air filter'. My car is 11 yrs old, sounded reasonable. They did not have the part; had to be ordered. Made an app't, they told me the cast-- I got a Firestone card. due to no money. The initial fee was $4-500, BUT there was an extra fee to reset the pc, on it. That would be the next day- but, was put on my charge, before it was done. The cost $199.00. It went well, until the light came back on & I went back to check on it. Now, it has been a while-but, I had 4 more app'ts, because the pc did not get done properly. In the meantime, I found out where my dealership was- because I had driven for a whole month, or more, with the engine light on & them telling me 'it didn't hurt anything'. IF it did not hurt anything, WHY was I charged $199.00 for the service. I went to the dealership-had to pay for another 'diagnostic', the reset code was not right. Tumminia Mazda did this service. My light went out. Just in time for that extremely COLD spell in Jan. On each of the addt'nl app'ts I sat in the waiting area for 2-3 hrs. I was not rude; I read books. They were irritated/rude because I could NOT leave my car. They did NOT do this service- they ignored me & my car. I make bigger pym'ts than requested. I plan on paying it off. I will never do firestone, again. They are not reputable. I went there, i spite of the bad reviews that were listed.

Desired outcome: For one thing - after FOUR requests, I'd like a response. BUT I feel I should be refunded the $199.00 because it was NOT done by firestone. It was fixed by Tumminia Mazda. My acc't # is [protected]. Thank you. Naomi Wade
