Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Purchased a washing machine and still not received deliver

I have purchased a washing machine and still not received delivery thereof

I followed up on the matter and were told that the item has beem dispatched and that its with the courier company. I then followed up with the courier company by providing them with the waybill number. The courier company confirmed that they never received the item and that there is no tracking of the item on thier side. I then called the store again to advise and was told that they unable to locate the item. That made me furious and I requested a refund. They cant refund me until the item has been located. I am highly disappointed in the service and will never purchase anything from Game store online. I will fight my last breath until I receive my refund.

Desired outcome: U want delivery as soon as possible or refund

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Huggies gold nappy

On the 1st of July 2022 I bought huggies gold nappies from game store Makhado it was on special 2 for 369. I have just opened the first pack and it is having factory fault the stickers that have to hold nappy keeps peeling off and I am very livid about this as it constantly messing my son's clothes if it was one I had be ok

The nappies are not in a good condition at all

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Game refusing to deliver my order - order [protected]

Good day, Order [protected] was done on 10 July for a stove that I paid R4000 for. On 13 July I received a notification that the order was shipped and that delivery was expected to be received Sunday, 17 July. When I enquired about the delivery time I was told to expect delivery on Tuesday instead. On Tues I was told that the warehouse dispatched the item but the courier company never received it and now no one is willing to assist me in obtaining my order. I call at least 3 - 4 times a day and no one can help me. I requested that I fetch the stove myself but I keep getting told that they need to investigate the matter before I get my order. I am bearing the brunt of internal incompetency's. Very disappointing service from what I thought was a reputable company. Please assist!

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Office chair ordered online from Game Order number [protected]

Ordered and paid a No Brand Parker Mid Back Chair online on 22 June 2022. The expected delivery date was 29 June 2022.

Phoned Game on 7 July 2022 and received an email saying that my request was sent off to a senior team to ensure that you get prompt feedback.

Received an email from them again on 18 July 2022 saying that they are having technical issues with dispatching orders, our team is currently working on it. Please advise if you willing to wait or if you would like a refund.

I replied on the email asking how long I will have to wait. Received no feedback.

The service from Game is really poor. I still do not know if I will receive my order or not.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Game tv exchange

I bought a TV at Game in Baywest, Port Elizabeth 4 days ago. I realized that I am not satisfied with the product and wanted to exchange the 40inch TV set for a 43inch smart TV.

I am willing to pay the extra costs involved for the 43 inch tv.

When I returned the product, the manager said they do not exchange TV sets.

This has not been communicated with me when I purchased the TV, neither is the return policy stipulated on the slip.

According to the consumer rights the customer have at least 7 days to return or exchange a product, unless stated otherwise on the flip.

Desired outcome: I would really like to exchange the TV for a bigger, smart TV, same brand as the one I have currently.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Defy Washing machine

I bought a Defy washing machine 8kg online on the 17th of June, It was delivered on the 21st of June damaged, I emailed Game on the same with pictures. I have been calling them from that day, the person by the name Emily emailed me on the 27 saying the supplier said it wasn't their fault, the courier people said it's not their fault. I have been calling everyday and every time I'm told that the matter has been escalated, Emily is working from home, they are still waiting for feedback. it's been a month, the machine has not been collected and I am not getting anyone to help resolve the matter.

I need help I paid R5000 cash It may not be much for Game but it's a lot for me.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Samsung A13 phone

Ordered it at 10 pm on Tuesday night online. Decided I didn't want it after reading reviews. No option to cancel order. Phoned 10am next day customer care and got know where. Sent email no response. They tell me U must wait till delivery guy comes and not sign for it and eventually I will be refunded after 10 days , who knows when. Can't go to store for refund for a phone that hasn't even come into my hands. Why must I go through this and have to wait for so long. Spoke to 3 very unhelpful agents, they promise to contact me back but never do. I have no correspondence back from them. I have spent an hour in calls to customer care pathetic service. Don't buy from game. Other stores you get instant refunds. This store is complete rubbish and regret buying from them. Request number 1385693

I just want my refund for an item I changed my mind which is in there warehouse.

Desired outcome: Full refund asap for unwanted item that's not even received from Game and in there possession. How difficult can it be?????

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Trim Tech Lawnmawer

Good day

In June 2021 in purchased a Trim Tech Lawnmawer and in August while still under warranty it stopped working. I returned it to store, I was told the motor is damaged, I then told them at Game Beacon Bay that I don't want to take it back, they changed the story and told me that it needs a service. I had to pay R900 after two months of owning and used it twice. I was told if it continues to give me problems I could return it.

They returned the Lawnmawer in February 2022, again in May 2022 the Lawnmawer started giving problems. I took it back to Game store Mthatha on the 14 May 2022. They told me that I need pay R600 for the Lawnmawer, I told them that I can't because it's still under warranty. I was then told that it's going to fixed free of charge.

In June I went to get the Lawnmawer or refund but I was told in store that they are waiting for the word from the supplier, on the 07 July 2022 I went to request the refund from the store manager who refused to refund me.

Up until today the 09 July 2022, 58 days after I have taken the store, I have not yet received my damaged/faulty Lawnmawer or refund. The Game policy is very clear that I should be getting my Item/product or refund within a period of 21 days.

Please help me by refunding me and repremand the store manager for Game Mthatha for failing to adhere to Company policy.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Non delivery of product but charged for it.

Order an item a Samsung 32 inch tv on the 22/06

After numerous emails and phone calls I have been promised delivery. On the 08/07 still no delivery!

Customer service does not respond to emails after lying about delivery by the 08/07.

I would have got it sooner if I ordered from Samsung head Office in Korea!

Don't waste your time, buy from a company that provides service.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Customer service poor

I ordered a washing machine and cancelled it minutes after I placed the Order on Monday 4/7/22.

It is now the 5th day and Game still has not refunded my MobiCred account due to their negligence and in the meantime I will be responsible for the interest on the amount paid to them.

I am sending e-mails everyday but they do not even bother to respond to my emails. I phoned their customer support who said they could not assist me as the matter is escalated to Head Office and after that they have no control over the transaction. They said I cannot phone head office directly and all I can do is wait for the refund.

User's recommendation: They are great if you buy but please do not try and cancel and wait for a refund.

Desired outcome: Full Refund including al Interest charged by my MobiCred Account

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Disgusting incompetent shelly beach store

3 weeks ago!

I handed in a TV to be sent for repairs.

I had to pay R350 cash

3 weeks later when I got really hot around my neck of total ignorance from this store and also after the company who was to receive the tv advise me to collect my R350 and my TV and he will make other arrangements because GAME also ignore them flat-out.

GAME took R350 cash -dumped my tv in a dark storeroom and assumed the problem will disappear.

They are disgusting incompetent and the customer service not fit for their job

They don't bother to reply or contact me or the company who questioned them when did they sent of for repairs. Useless and no respect for customers.

I have no other choice as to belief all negative comments 0n social media and star rating of 1. I would rate them 0 starts for customer care and service. This store urgently need awareness education and staff training for the job they are appointed.

They had the oddasity after I told them I will be on social media on all platforms to send me a sms message My repairs is back and ready for collection. Dear me it was n e v e r sent for repairs!

Desired outcome: On my expense as a pensioner I had to drive, pay toll fees and fight to get my R350 back and my "dumped tv"I will never set foot in this store ever again.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za LOGIK Heater Gas

Good Morning

I bought a LOGIK Gas Heater in July 2021. It worked fine with no problems. In April 2022 when I decided to use it again, the knob that is used to turn the heater on was faulty. Every time I tried to turn it on, the gas would make a light spark but nothing further than that.

Because it was still under warranty, I took it back to Game (Kimberley, Northern Cape Province). At the complaints section, the lady asked one of the floor workers to check the heater. He then indicated to me that he cannot check the heater without Gas and asked me to return again with the gas bottle. I went back to Game the following day with Gas. The same guy checked the heater and saw that the knob was faulty and the heater would simply not switch on.

They then booked it in and told me to wait 21 working days. I waited for a month, much longer than the 21 days but no one contacted me. I then went to the store to query and they informed me that they cannot find it on the system but will contact me.

I received a message via sms the next day to say my heater is at the store and I can go fetch it. I fetched it on the Thursday. I only tested it on the Friday but it still did not work. I must also mention that Game did not return the heater with all the parts (the back round part where the gas canniser goes in was missing)

I returned to Game on the Saturday with the Gas bottle. 2 of the guys checked it and indicated that it was still faulty. I then told them that they must please exchange for a new one but they indicated they out of stock. The floor worker then went to another women to tell her that they should refund me as the heater is not working

This women was so rude and disprespectful. She said she has her heater for 5 years and hers still work. She then played around with the knob and the heater went on. I then told her that the heater is faulty and it will switch off any minute. She then start telling me that its working and nothing wrong with it.

She then left and the heater went off. I tried calling customer care while I was as the store who told me they should book it in again. I then said that I cannot wait another month for my heater as we are currently in the middle of winter.

Another guy (im not sure if its the store manager said there is nothing they can do but book it in. I then refused and told them they must replace it or give my money back. He then once again took it to the back to check it again.

Again 2 guys checked the heater and it refused to work.

By then I had reached my wits end and told them to just give back the heater and gas and I would go fix it somewhere else

2 of the staff members at Game Kimberley were extremely rude and disrespectful . They made me feel as if I was lying. They refused to grant me proper customer service and treated my like a criminal.

I am very disappointed. As it is Game is losing many customers. It was the end of the month and the store was so quiet.

Desired outcome: I suggest you train your staff better on how to handle customer complaints. Please replace my heater or refund me

Manager and Hisense supervisor's attitude. Game store at Richards Bay on Sunday the 3rd of July 2022. We bought a Hisense TV on Saturday on the 2nd. When we plugged it at home we found out that it's has a crack. We really don't know what's happened. We decided to take back the TV to Richards Bay (Game Store). Woooow the lady that deals with the Hisense appliances she gave us attitude. We ended up arguing... what a poor service we received at Game store. We asked for a manager or supervisor... The manager was in the seen as we were arguing with the Hisense lady. The Store manager told us that he can't interfere in something he don't even know so that's is why he keeps quite while we were arguing with the attitude girl. They said we must throw the TV in the trash. Mind you brand new TV that's we bought with R10 999.

I wanted to do a price beat today i went to 2 stores, South Gate and Westgate and at Southgate they told me to go to Westgate because I was returning a faulty heater, at Westgate they told me they not doing a price beat today because of the sale going on, the teller told me it's because I am exchanging an item, i feel i was robbed because why have a price beat if I'm going to be given so many excuses.

I have just been to richards bay game in the inkwazi board walk. Specifically to go buy the nescafe coffee that is on special for 1 day only to be told they never received stock so what must they do ... if they didn't get stock they cant sell it. Surely this is misleading as it is advertised all over south africa .how do you propose to sort this Issue out?

Desired outcome: I would like tk buy the stock at thw advertised price of R69.99 for nescafe assorted coffees

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Damaged fridge replacement

I bought a fridge at GAME online shopping and delivered damaged. I logged a query for about a month now and I have not received my replacement fridge and I paid the amount cash. I keep calling them every morning and they tell me my matter has been escalated and will give me an update which they never do. I am without a fridge that I bought a month ago now and get bad service from GAME. I am pretty sure to never shop at GAME online ever again!

Desired outcome: A full refund ASAP so I can buy a fridge somewhere else.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za TV hisense 58 inch

Good day

On the 20 June 2022 13h14, I bought TV set 58 cm Hisense R7999.00 from GAME KING WILLIAM'S TOWN, they do their procedure to check the TV set is on and I saw it the TV set was on. The shop helper took the TV set to the car, then he asked whether they told me about the front or the back for loading purposes and I told him no then he loaded the TV set into the car.

On the 21st June when the TV set is taken out from the box for wall mounting, then we saw the TV set had crack (right hand side).

Immediately we took back to GAME SHOP and we explained and they dont want to listen and we requested a cctv camera/ footage to the Store Manager from 1st point to the last point so that we happy about their decision. Also I dont understand because this crack is in the right hand and the TV set is protected with white cushion.

The store manager denied to show us the footage. We ended up leaving the TV set in the shop and the till slip is with me. Also they say it my fault.

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Faulty Asus Core I3 Laptop and 2 months downtime...

I bought a brand new Asus Intel Core I3 Laptop from Game Richards Bay on 15.03.2022 for R6999.

The laptop came with 7 days trial of Microsoft Office.

After the Office had expired, i installed Microsoft Office using my existing account.

After installation, the laptop then came on, the the screen would remain blank (left it for 10 minutes and there was no response).

So on the 18.04.2022, i took that laptop in to Game Richards Bay, they tested it and confirmed that the laptop was faulty and then sent it to Durban (Rectron) to be fixed.

After a month, i received a message that the laptop was ready to be picked up...

So i went in, and the report stated that there are alot of apps running in the background that causes the laptop to be slow...So they updated the Os and BIOS and sent it back. (i did not install any apps besides Microsoft Office)

When we switched it on, the laptop came on and worked, but it refused to shut down by clicking the windows icon and shutdown. The laptop could only be switched off by holding down the on/off switch.

So they called the repairer and booked in the laptop again.

Its now 2 months after the first book in... and i have not heard from them...

I have paid for a computer that i have not used... And the store refuses to refund or replace...

So don't buy anything from Game, unless you have a minimum of 2 months to wait if something goes wrong...

Rather buy from a company that has better after sales service or can check these issues in store...

Game Stores South Africa / Game.co.za Fraud at game store welkom

Fraud was committed inside game store Welkom, seemingly by game store employees.

My sister forgot her game store card after purchase, she left her store card at the cashier, later on she noticed a transaction on her card, 10 minutes after the store had closed, she had already left the store at 16h16+-, the card was used at around 17h40, the following day again around 1pm the card was used at the very same store, she alerted the store, she was informed that the card was indeed left at the store and it was handed over to the supervisor, so the question is, how is it that the card that was given to the supervisor was being used in the store.

There were so many misleading statement given, including that my sister should not open a case at SAPS as nothing will come out of the case, now she is required to pay for a gas heater she did not purchase and another item amount to about R450, The Management is sitting and hoping the matter goes away and no finality is forthcoming, it is now 4th week.

It looks like its not the first time these type of incident takes place, hence why an employee of your chain store can say "nothing will happen if the case is opened" , i guess i will also write to Ipid to force the police to do their job, i will be writing to consumer protection as well, i will not let go until the matter is resolved. I have already put it on Hello Peter, i will continue to post on any platform available.
