job connection career specialist rudeness and disrespectful
I went to Job Connection on Gardner Ferry Road Columbia SC on 10/09/17 and I'm complainting about Career Specialist Carol Sabatino who was very rude and nasty toward me. I went to transport my son from Goodwill job Connection and a man ask me to assist him with job search. I told him I would tell Career Specialist to help him. I proceeded to ask her for help for gentleman and she told me in elevated tone she was not going to help because he was rude and disrepectful. The man approach her in a calm manner and said this is not true. She continued to me rude and nasty toward the man. Immediately I told her she was rude and disrepectful. I feel as a professional, all individual should be treated. with dignity and respect.
She needed to be move permanent from job Connection. I am willing to talk with Goodwill Headquarter to address my concerns. I. Feel she will discourage people who needs help with Job searches. Ms. Carol to have professional leadership with all people in seeking employment.
blair nebraska store sold me a broken clock
The Blair Nebraska Goodwill store sold me a battery operated clock. I got it home and put a battery in it and it wouldn't work. The next day I tried to return it. I had my receipt and they refused to take it back. They said there is a sign on the door that they don't take back electronics. I saw no sign when I came in. Regardless of a sign or not, the bottom line is, they sold me a broken clock and refused to make it right. In my mind it is theft. They get the stuff free, and sell broken things to unsuspecting poor people. If I wasn't poor, I wouldn't be shopping there. The store is there to help the poor, but instead, they are there to help themselves at any cost, even if it means stealing from customers by selling broken stuff, which is deceptive practices. I bought the clock in good faith that it worked. I won't be shopping there again, and when I get out of college and am no longer poor, I would never donate to this place either. I have told all my friends and everyone I know about this theft, of selling me a broken clock and refusing to give me my money back. They won't be buying from there or donating there either. There is no goodwill in the goodwill industries. The date of purchase was 9/29/2017, and the date I tried to return it was 9/30/2017. I have the receipt.
kinston nc trying to overcharge me for stuff in the bin as regular
I went to the Winterville and greenville location. They sweat pants is 1.49 each. But everytime I try to go to the kinston location they try to over charge me $4.00 for the sweat pants. Oyster told me when I use to work at goodwill that all jogging pants and sweat pants goes in the bin for $1.49. I told them what oyster said and she said that's what she's gonna charge. I don't appreciate them to keep tryING to get over me and everyone else.

customer service, 2500 cleveland ave - roseville mn goodwill manager
I went to this outlet for an interview, this lady told me she was the head manager on duty on 8/7/2017 at 11:00am. This lady was very rude, asking me what do you want then cutting me off while I was talking, she wouldnt let me use the telephone to call the work release center im staying at, she told me to use my own phone or go down the street to walmart. I had the impression that she was racist and assumned I had no money to call from a pay phone, I told her I was at work release and that her customer service and hospitality reflected her bad attitude, she replied..."like I said, go use walmarts phone" I would like to see her adressed so this dont happen to the next customer/potential employee looking for assistance.
goodwill greater atlanta area
Simple! I have been told by several employees from different stores around Atlanta, they take sale items off the floor. If the color is red, they will remove the red tag items off the shelves. It happens every week. Issue, Goodwill doesn't purchase the products they sell they are all donated by hard working people. Those same hard working people also shops at goodwill so why are you stealing from the same people who keeps you in business.
SAME ON YOU GOODWILL!
marianna store
*Workload and responsibilities is unbearable, not getting lunches and/or breaks, having such a workload and the entire front of the store to work SOLO.
*Morale of staff demolished bc of workload and never any appreciation. Always critical feedback.
*Manager makes staff feel very incompetent and verbally reprimands in front of customers and other staff.
*Manager devalues superior bosses to staff and undermines direction. Slanderous comments such as "Male chauvinist pig" and "He's just an [censor]".
*Instructed to round up without customers permission.
*Changing rules and expected operations almost daily without informing ALL staff creating confusion, frustration and low morale.
*Gossip about staffs personal business being spread by manager to other staff members and others.
*Lunch dates daily with specific staff.
*SEXual harassment case was devalued and swept under the rug and complainant fired.
*Staff are seeking other jobs. They are talked to for less than humans. The tension is BAD and the morale of productivity is worse. Manager talking about each employee to another employees in a demeaning way causing strife. The store is extremely packed and pulling hasn't been allowed. Instead pushing racks of clothes has and staff is told they have to be done before they can leave. Yet, there's NO where to put the inventory.
*Someone needs to help!
store was 90 degrees
So our local goodwill store is a heat stroke ready to happen. First off as soon as you walk in the door the heat hits you. By 15 mins of looking around I was hot and not happy. I wanted to try on my clothes to be sure they fit before I but since there's no return policy. After 2 outfits in I was soaking wet, i ended up leaving clothes on floor and ran out of there. People who have medical conditions can't take to much heat. I over heard one cashier saying it's been without air conditioner for awhile because lightning hit it and it's never been repaired. That is ridiculous and greedy. I wasn't the only one complaining. People had red faces, complaining. I won't go back till it's fixed. I about passed out. It's nice you all care about your customers like that. And it shows how much appreciation you have for the employees that work long hard hours for your business. A business that has everything donated at no cost. Thanks for almost killing me.

packing of items purchased on the shopgoodwill auction site
Hello, Some of the sites do a great job of protecting pieces when they are packed for shipping, but far too many are terrible. I have had many pieces arrive with damages which were caused by improper packing--NOT by careless handing by the shippers. One of the most common problems is binding packing materials too tightly around delicate projections on statuary pieces or carvings. This places too much pressure on that area causing it to snap. Sometimes multiple fragile items are dumped together in a nest of bubblewrap with nothing to cushion them from jostling against each other inside the package. Once a large group of expensive dolls were stuffed together inside a small hat box damaging headpieces and badly crushing historical outfits. One carving arrived in a box too small and a piece was protruding through the side of the cardboard box used for shipping. Another time I received the wrong item entirely. My order was sent to someone else. I had to return the piece I received and wait for the other customer to return my piece. When what I had ordered actually arrived, it had damages not present when it was originally posted. All of the broken pieces were not even in the box. While in most cases, I have been reimbursed for my purchases that does not make up for the disappointment or the diminished value of the item needlessly damaged. Most customer service representatives are polite and prompt in responding, but that is not always the case. I would much rather pay the agreed upon price and receive the purchase in its advertised condition than receive it free but damaged sometimes beyond repair. Clearly packing staff in all facilities need to be properly trained. All of the bubblewrap and packing peanuts in the world will not protect a piece from mishandling in the packing process. I am to the point where I don't want to bid on anything breakable no matter how desirable it may be. Regretfully, Joan Molozaiy
Goodwill has offered a full refund and return shipping
I bought a guitar that arrived damaged, the auction photos show none of the damage so it definately happened after they were taken. I do not believe that this was fedexs doing, the carton has no exterior damage, I have before photos saved as well as damage photos and all four sides of the box it arrived in. This is no longer worth anywhere near what I paid for it.

behavior
I go in the store across form my work on a daily bases. I went in today for lunch time and carts that they were putting items out was a pair of Couch shoes. They fit so I put them in my cart. I got to register and person that works there comes up to me takes them out of my cart and says these are on hold for some else. How do you take something out of some cart ? RUDE
If they were on hold they should of been behind the counter not in cart on floor to put on shelf.
management and state of store number 55 hudson nc
I am a recent and now former employee of Goodwill located in Hudson NC. This establishment has at it's core management even reaching district management, which allows disrespect towards employees to even customers. I am a former employee of Goodwill in Hudson NC. And recently quit due to the awful state of this business. From a neglectful manager always behind on her responsibilities, to the theft of merchandise during and after hours and the blaten disrespect the store manager has for her Employees to even customers.. pricing and placement by management wrong and misplaced then blamed on employees and especially myself. I myself would be blamed for mistakes and mis-pricing even when she created these mistakes as it seemed just to come down on me and others, as she thinks management means only a negative enforcement on myself and others. This business has many things not done properly and must be taken care of properly as noone seems to listen to myself as an employee or even after .
Even safety requirements, covered against walls, not enforced or even the safety guide and protocols manual never printed or shipped to the store and management allowing or even enforcing shirt cuts which has and will again allow damages to product, the store and yes employees and on 2 occasions even customers cut and bleeding, luckily they did not want to sign the incident report. Still not ethical or in procedure of how this establishment should be run and something must be done to maintain a SAFE and PROPER business. I recently quit as I was the only male working there and often blamed for Soo much when others even management created this issue to start with.
This 'Manager' often on her cell phone, leaving to eat almost 3 times a shift and yet telling employees not to accept a call and especially when it's an Emergency ? I had to twice walk off the floor for an emergency call from my son and still spoken down to in a condisending manner. In tolerable this establishment and "So called" management was and surely still is. This is not what you should stand for or in fact any business would have ended such awful practice at first sign of negligence. I had to leave this location before another empty lie or manipulation was created to harm me and in doing so my life and my son.
One large issue addressed before I was hired and voiced as a concern was my scheduling as I am a single father with noone to watch my son and this so called store manager would purposely schedule me leaving my son alone at home and at 12 years of age he is capable tho this was and is unacceptable. Many times things were manipulated to deem me unsatisfactory when I worked faster then each employee there, efficiently and correctly from pricing to placement.
The women there were very unprofessional often bringing there problems at home to work and taking it out on the company and employees. As I've said I was the only male there and often other employee's / women, would have troubles at home with significant others then carry that with them even pushing there problems on myself as if to generalize men and there problems onto myself.
Frequently I was made to work the product trailer whole shifts because "so called" management 'Carrielle Duke' ordered trailers at wrong times, forcing trailers to be finished at inhuman rates of speed or not ordering trailers at the proper time either, I assumed it was my job description when it WAS NOT! senior employees voiced there concern as to why I was working the trailer for 6 hours and ALONE because in there experience had never seen someone made to do the work I was doing especially alone.
This location has many problems and they run down the ladder from management. As a former manager the short cuts, the manipulations and lack of training for employees is unacceptable, should not be tolerated and can simply be proven by checking the surveillance system and asking employees. I enjoyed my job tho a low level employee we should still have a voice and this was not the case when I was employed. Honestly I'm without work because of this place and what has been left unchecked and with what I've witnessed and been subjected to it worth legal action. Any sane rational individual would do as I did and quit such an awful place of work.
I looked for a reason to love my work and enjoy my job, not just like the money I'm payed, which wasn't much considering what I was made to do and even endure. Doing my time and getting out was what it turned into which was sadening in itself. I wanted to work there and still do if under proper management, tho sadly I feel this will have no mager change is status at this location. Tho something must CHANGE something CORRECTED and management relieved and a respectful, mindful and importantly Educated individual to resume command over this location to breath life, efficiency and a happy work place environment for all employees and customers alike.
Thank you to whomever read this and truly hope you see to this location and it's threats against what GOODWILL stands for.
Good day
store on south 38th, tacoma, washington
I am a veteran and average American. I have gone to the Goodwill Store on South 38th Street, Tacoma, WA many times and was thrilled when they reverted back to having sales (Tue/Wed/Thurs 99 cents for the color tags from the prior week. The manager in this Goodwill store has questioned me three different occasions about my PTSD Service dog. The first time she stated "dogs are not allowed in the stores" and I explained about my dog. The customer service at this Goodwill has gone from bad to worse and today not only was I questioned by another Goodwill Assistant Manager about my dogs, but the look she gave me was equal to any of the Goodwill staff working there. The prices have become unstable and today I saw a 3/4 full bottle of Windex marked $4.99 (blue tag). When asked for a dressing room I was told by the employee "my gosh I don't have time for this, I work this whole store, back and forth, forth and back". I WILL NOT SHOP AT THIS GOODWILL EVER AGAIN, the entire store has an uneasy feeling of they are doing the customers a favor and it's not good. I will go back to Value Village, Salvation Army, and two other Goodwill Stores across town. Shame on this store for the way customers are made to feel!
customer service
I was shopping at the Garland location Sunday 5/21/2017 around 5:00 pm with my family. We spent approximately 140.00 on clothing for some young adults that I open my home to. They have interviews and were in need of some clothes. First I want to say I have been a patron and contributor to Goodwill for over 20 years, probably a little closer to 30 years. I'm an upstanding citizen, taxpayer and have been in customer service as well as management for most of my life. On Sunday I was severely mistreated and threatened by a young cashier at the Garland location 451 W Interstate 30 #100 Garland Tx 75043. I want to give the store/ company a chance to right this wrong before I go to the Police, News Media, and social media. I recorded the event on my phone and I have audio recordings of phone calls where I tried to speak to the Manager as well, I will also be applying for a job because this store is in acute need of management. After shopping for several hours which consisted of two very eager young men trying on interview clothes. Once their choices were made we worked our way to the check out where there was a long line and two cashiers one of which was working hard she was an older grey haired woman and one who was doing a lot of walking around a young black woman. My mother, myself and the two young men then approached the counter in front of the young black woman. We began to put the items on the counter. A lot of items. She took one look at them and looked at the older woman and said. I don't have time for this. I should have been off earlier. I was completely shocked. I told her I understand you say you should be off be you still have customers to tend to. She then said Nah [censor]. I looked at my mother who was also in shock and said wow I guess they will hire anyone here. At this point she said wow you really said that, I no longer said anything else to her. I did start recording on my phone. My mother asked her to please bag one shirt separately from the others. She then threw down the shirt and walked off. Several minutes later the manager returned and began to check us out the girl now standing beside her threatened me by saying that I'm lucky she doesn't come over the counter to beat my [censor] and that I'm lucky she doesn't call her relatives to do the same. I must tell you I am licensed to carry a firearm and can you imagine how badly this situation could have turned. I'm a professional trained adult so what I did was the BEST SOLUTION at the time and that was to leave. However I called the Manager once I had my family safely away. She wanted to argue with me and then hung up on me. I have the phone calls recorded. I then called back to get her supervisor's name and number and she again hung up on me. This too is recorded. This must be remedied she is not safe to work in public. I will not stop here. I'm concerned for my life and the safety of others. Please get back with me today. If this cannot be handled at store level. I will have to contact law enforcement if no one contacts me by Monday May 21, 2017

manager at bend oregon goodwill
I have been a loyal customer at the Bend Oregon Goodwill since the day they opened. I shop there weekly and they know me well. I was checking out on May 16, 2017 and was handing the cashier my items when she, the cashier decided one of my items was under priced at .99. She called a manager, who took it out of my hands, into the backroom and changed the price to $3.99. There was no Roman numerals indicating another price or sticker residue from another tag. Not only is this illegal, but it is incredibly rude, especially considering I shop there all the time. I have had my own business for 30 years and would never even consider being this blatantly rude to a regular customer, or any customer.. This is not the first time this has happened to me and I have witnessed it happen to other customers as well. Your policy needs to change and if I don't hear back from someone ASAP, I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Employees at this store are trained to distrust everyone and it blatantly shows and is a very poor policy to have. It is really disappointing when a company that is supposed to help people treats their customers so poorly.
Prices
I love shopping at the Goodwill. I have never had a problem until today. I went to the Goodwill in Torrance, California on Sepulveda Blvd. I wanted to purchase a DVD and there was no price. I asked one employee to please check the price and she took the discs from me and went to the register and stated "$2.99." I left Ike's a little bit more and went to pay. A different employee then asked for a price since the disc was not marked and the employee said, "Oh those are $2.99 PER disc." I let her know that I was told it was $2.99. She said, "It has more than one disc." I told her that they should have their merchandise price marked or have a sign posted with pricing so the customer is not surprised when getting to the register with a different price. Needless to say, every employee there simply ignored my suggestion and turned away and resumed to chit chatting about their daily lives. I then suggested again to the employee at the register regarding posting prices and she rudely cut me off. I have never had a problem like this before and it's a shame that people who work in customer service do not have the tact or common courtesy to address customer suggestions to avoid problems in the future. Tsk tsk.
goodwill laundry is not a good place to work, goodwill laundry is a waste of time
I'm Patrice Bendlin, I'm blind and have a disability.I was hired by Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin in 2005, I worked in Goodwill Laundry for 11 years. Laundry managers Orangetta Kelly-Shellie and Chandra Henderson-Martinez left Goodwill Laundry in 2011 and Theresa Buford became the new laundry manager from April 2011 to present, Theresa let me go in 2016, because I was working too slow, Dale Toroavich got sick and ill and left Goodwill Laundry that same year.Willie Peavy was laid off along with the Chinese/Asian/Hmong co-workers that same year too.Goodwill Laundry is a waste of time, Goodwill Laundry and The laundry managers don't care about co-workers and co-workers with disabilities, They don't care what happens to any co-workers especially the co-workers with disabilities! Earl Hubbard and Goodwill Laundry fired Indian co-worker Gordon Gonzalez, because Gordon Gonzalez complained to Supervisor Earl Hubbard about him having diabeties in both of his legs.Earl Hubbard worked Gordon Gonzalez hard in the dirty laundry area.JeWarren Robertson made Puerto Rican co-worker Raymond Perez work hard in Goodwill Laundry by causing him to have injury on his back and around his private part. Goodwill Laundry Manager Orangetta Kelly-Shellie refused to give Raymond Perez light work after his two surgeries! Don't ever apply and Don't ever work at Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin and Goodwill Laundry at 6055 North 91st Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, because the laundry managers are full of crap! Stay away from Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin and Goodwill Laundry because they will treat you like crap out there!
Abusive manager. Unethical behavior.
OnFriday February3rd, I brought a car full of items to Goodwill for resale.
The employees were very helpful to unload my car as I am handicapped
With Spinal Stenosis.
My car is clearly marked with a handicapped sticker. My service dog was with me and was clearly marked with his vest which states, Emotional Support.
I decided to take a look at the store.( I recently moved to Sopchoppy Florida)
from Tallahassee Florida.
Your employees were very pleasant. One gentleman in particular welcomed my service dog.
I took my dogs vest off and was going to put him in the cart.He is a Dachshund and of medium size. Lifting him is difficult.
The Store Manager approaches me saying, "Get that dog out of here."
I explained to her that he is a service dog. She said, " I want to see his license."
I said, "It is in my car."
She said, " You are lieing. I don't want that dog biting my customers."
I went out to my car and came back with his papers.
she ignored me and leading me towards the door said "Have a nice day."
I told her I had just donated a carload full of things to the "ministry"of
Goodwill. She kept saying, "Have a nice day."
I called her a b---- which I am sorry for but who goes to Goodwill with the best of intentions and gets treated this way.
The whole experience was exhausting.
I think someone in authority should be aware of this incident.
This woman needs to be confronted and I deserve an apology.
Thank You.
