Read full review of KIA Motorskia service centre in greece refusing to repair my vehicle which is still under warranty
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I'm writing to you as I have been battling with my local KIA Service Centre since 2015 for them to replace my car's bonnet and have gotten nowhere to date. In 2016, I raised this again with them twice, once in August and once in November when I had my car serviced but there stance remained rigid and inflexible. I'm hoping that you will be able to assist me as I don't know who else to turn to and this issue has been dragging for 2 years now causing me stress and frustration.
I own a KIA Ceed (1600cc, stationwagon), registration IOI-2220 which I bought in July 2011, in Athens, Greece. The protective coating from the car's bonnet began to flake off gradually and it's reached the point now that the damage is quite severe, having created patches as you will be able to see in the photos attached. I have repeatedly taken the car to my local service centre (HYUNDAI & KIA SERVICE – TSAPALOS, address: Thessalonikis 127, Moschato 183 45, Athens, Greece) and they refuse to replace the bonnet on the grounds that the flaking has been caused by bird poo that has been left and eroded the bonnet. This is an obscene reason in my view and it cannot be the case as I do take good care of the car and do wash it regularly and also as it is unlikely that bird poo would only have had this effect on the car's bonnet. The roof of the car, the back of the car and every other part of it is fine. I have tried many times to reason with my local service centre in the hope that common sense will prevail but to no avail.
My car is still under a 7 year warranty so the bonnet's replacement should be covered by the warranty. I would respectfully like to ask for your assistance to resolve this matter as soon as possible by replacing my car's bonnet under warranty as required.
I'm a loyal KIA customer (my previous car was a second hand KIA SEPHIA which I had for 4 years with no issues) and as a family in general we do prefer KIA cars and currently have 2 more KIA Ceed cars (1400cc). None of them has presented a similar issue with the bonnet which to me also shows that the issue with my car can't have been due to bird poo as my local service centre suggested.
Please advise on how to proceed with a resolution on this.
Much appreciated in advance.
Yours faithfully,
Christos Bochoris

2015 kia soul plus remote with blade key
I recently purchased a 2015 Kia Soul Plus from Valley Hi Kia in Victorville Calif.
It is still under warranty . My remote key fell apart and I've contacted the dealer but can't get a response from any one regarding this matter . My name is Richard Mendoza . My phone number is [protected] . I mentioned it to the sales rep when I was buying the car . He stated that the looseness was normal and not to worry . My sales rep was David Herrera . He has failed to return my calls . I've requested assistance from other managers but cannot get a response from anyone in the dealership . I've purchased a kia sportage from them before and had no problems with them correcting any issues I had . But from now on I will think twice about buying a Kia in the future nor will I recommend Kia to any interested in buying a car.

2014 Kia Sportage. Went to the gym, got out of the car, closed the driver door, no problem. Got in my car after going to the gym, closed the driver door no problem. Drove to work, got out of the car, closed the driver door, no problem. Worked all day. Got in my car after work, closed the driver door, no problem. Stopped at Hobby Lobby ( less than 1 mile from my office), got out of the car, closed my driver door, no problem. Came out of Hobby Lobby, put my things in my car, closed the driver door, there' s a problem. When I closed the driver door, the rear window just exploded into millions of pieces. I've had my car for less than 3 months. No help from the dealer. Deductible $500. Cost of window less than the deductible so... I have to pay out of pocket.
ac compressor 2013 kia fletcher kia bentonville, ar
My husband and I purchased a new 2013 Kia Optima in 2014. The A.C compressor went out in May 2016- it was covered under warranty.
In April of this year, my A.C started working only part- time. I called Fletcher KIA in Bentonville, AR (where it was purchased) and no one returned my call. I waited a few days
(at this time my A.C was working again) they told me it had to be not working in order for me to bring it in. When it finally went out for good, I was 17 days past warranty. But I had called numerous times prior to the warranty being expired. We have been getting the run around ever since.
Fletcher told me to contact Consumer Affairs and no one will return my call. We have been leaving messages and pleading for someone to talk to us since the case was opened May, 24, 2017.
My compressor shouldn't go out every year. And if they would have looked at it when I first called, it would've been covered. We ended up paying $626.00 which is a drop in the bucket for KIA but not so easy for us. I am disappointed that KIA would chose to lose business over this. I don't want or expect anything for free but I am a firm believer that what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong.
This is wrong.
kia doesn't manufacture the remote starter for their own vehicle
Is this a joke? KIA Canada and my dealer told me KIA doesn't manufacture the remote starter for their own vehicle!
I bought my KIA Forte 2017 on last September and asked the original remote starter at the same time. While I was getting my new car, the dealer told me the remote starter was not shipped yet. So I waited about three months and expected my original remote starter be installed. But I shocked when I got my remote starter key. It's ugly with cheap plastic. Obviously, it's not the original one from KIA. They told me the original one didn't receive yet, so, why didn't tell me before the install?
I experienced twice with the engine shut down while I was driving one the road with this No. 1 remote starter and finally it stopped work after about two months. So I drove back to the dealer and let them checked. The technician told me, this No. 1 remote starter is old and not good, he has installed another better one for me. So, I got my No.2 remote starter.
Another two months later, I used the remote starter started my car and got into the car. There was a big and burn smell in my car. But I couldn't find anything burn. I drove my backward from parking and went forward about 10 meters, a big smoke came out under my steering wheel. The first thing I did is open my door, put the transmission to P, then jumped out of my car. The LCD screen was flashing, and the smoke looks like getting smaller. I got into my car again, drove it to the closed parking slot, another 10 meters. I was trying to shutdown my car by push button and remote starter, but nothing worked. Luckily, the car shutdown itself after 5 or 10 mins, then I left with my friend.
The next morning, I called tow and put my car to the dealer. I asked them to put the original remote starter for me since I asked and payed since the beginning, but they said, KIA doesn't maufacture the remote starter. I was shocked. KIA is not a small company, right? And they do not manufacture the remote starter for their own vehical. The next day, I got my remote starter No. 3, and the service manager told me this is the latest modle in the market and should be good for my car. But, where is my original remote starter?
I called KIA Canada many times, but they looks like trying to cover the dealer. It always happened with first give you a good solution, then if that's not work, they will put back to Dealer. The last time I call them was last morning, that guy didn't listen to what I am saying and repeat the words that I disagree. He didn't allow me to say a word, so I had to hang up the phone.
Now, I am dealing with dealer by myself. If I could, I would like to have a refound. I don't like my car any more. It gave me to much trouble.
Thanks!

I went to buy a kia from this dealership, I had a 2010 HHR which I traded in I got $1, 000. I still owned money on it and I told the finance people and the sales person that If I was not going to get approved for a loan not to be wasting my time. They said that there would be no problem, we have options to work with.
A week later a got a threating call and text from Robert in finance stated that I need to return the car or it would be repossessed. I gave him a co signer which i guess did not work out. I told them that I did not need a new 2017 car that I would take a used one but they did not seem to care.
I return the car and I had to wait almost three hours at the dealership before I got my old car back with damages.
I am highly upset and mad at your company and I will never recommend anyone to your company. Not very personal or nice.
I would like to get a used car but they are not willing to work with me I guess because my credit is no good. I have 4 business that I own, I make enough money. I want to speak to someone about this problem, because they are ignoring my calls and emails about the damage to my car. This is a load of crap
Thank you

a/c compressor
First, I would like to say that I'm very disappointed in Kia Qatar. I bought my Cadenza on May 11th, 2012 with 5 years warranty unlimited mileage.
I did all services in Kia. During the past year, i had two issues with the A/C. Last April i took my car to Kia service to do the full service "45k Service" and to do a full checkup before the warranty expires on May 10th because the warranty isn't extendable.
Two days ago the A/C had an issue again and now they say that the compressor is tired and needs to be replaced and the warranty expired 2 weeks ago so i have to pay QR 5, 200.
They didn't say anything about the compressor being tired last month during the service and checkup because the car was still under warranty and they wanted to avoid the cost of replacing it.
The Kia service center is the worst in Qatar. Bad after sales service. No major parts will be provided especially if the car is under warranty always stating no stock due to blockade!..what a [censor] reason. My advise, never buy any of Kia products...and for KIa...stop selling your cars and get out of Qatar!

shark fin antenna cover
I purchased my 2015 Kia Cadenza in September 2015.
Recently I discovered my antenna cover was missing. I contacted every Kia Dealership in Dallas Fort Worth only to find that this item was not covered under my warranty and the cost to replace it would be approximately 800.
The service departments advised me this must be due to a car wash. However I also on a 2010 Kia Optima and utilize the same car washes and this has never been an issue.
I would like a resolution to my problem. I cannot prove this occurred at a car wash and as I indicated my 2010 Optima has never had this issue.
2015 kia soul
My name is Toni Kennedy, I purchased my vehicle either June or July 27th of 2015 and since the beginning of this purchase with Lawley Kia Motors in Sierra Vista, Arizona, I have had problems with this model slowing down and stalling, and lots of tugging back and forth. I have taken this vehicle in twice. I even tried to trade it in and was asked to put down $7, 000 to trade in for practically the same car. I recently saw where several makes, models and years of your vehicles have this same issue, but not my model. I have a friend in the State of California in which I recently learned has the same make and model as me and she shared that she too is having the same problem as me. To break this down I have two kids that I transport in this car and I am terrified of this car stalling in moving traffic as it has done once. I am so upset by this problem that I no longer have this vehicle serviced at that particular dealership. Word of mouth is everything and I feel this vehicle or any vehicle with Kia Motors is a dangerous purchase. No individual or persons should have a tragic moment to resolve a serious problem that could have been avoided, but my concerns are well documented where I do take my vehicle for service. My vehicle is only continuing to decline. I will take this to the Attorney General's office and any other source I may need to in order to get this matter resolved. This has gone on much too long and I do not want me and my family or others on the road to be the first statistic to bring this to the public's attention. It should not have to come to that. Thank you for hearing me.

I have been having trouble with the automatic lock system. At times the car will not lock automatically and I have to lock the vehicle manually. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership for a repair but I have been told that if the locks are not malfunctioning at the time that I take it, it cannot be repaired. I hope that I receive help because I am tired of this.

corroded fuel tank and fuel sender unit
Mr Antonio Francisco
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am trying to contact the Senior Manager at KIA Customer care in Korea, but I am unable to obtain the right email address, if you can help me with my query I would very much appreciated as the Australian side of KIA Customer care have completely ignored my complaint.
I own a 2015 KIA Cerato 5 door Hatch vehicle ID. KNAFK516MF5420094.
On Thursday 16 February 2017, I decided to take a run to my local supermarket and got in the car and started the engine as usual and let the car warm up for a minute or two till the revs reduced and check the instruments on the dashboard to make sure all was good. I noticed that the petrol gauge was showing less than half a tank and thought it was odd because the previous day it showed three quarters of a tank and I hadn’t used the car. I drove to the supermarket done some shopping and got in the car and started the engine and looked at the gauge only to find that this time it was showing just under a quarter of a tank. I was puzzled and went straight home parked the car and decided to monitor the situation.
The next day Friday the 17 February, I once again had to go pay some bills late in the afternoon and got in the car and followed the same routine and noticed the gauge showing close to empty but decide to drive to it to the local shops, parked it and payed my bills. When I returned I was shocked when I looked at the gauge, the yellow/amber light was flashing, which I knew was a warning when the tank is almost empty.
I drove the car home and contacted my local dealer in Smeaton Way, Rockingham and described the problem and asked whether I could take the car there to get it checked, the receptionist informed me that it was late and as they did not work on Saturdays I should call back on Monday 20 February.
Early Monday 20 February I called and booked it for Thursday 23 February,
I drove to KIA Rockingham on Thursday 23 February and handed over the keys and was told I would be contacted if any problems arise.
About three hours later I got a phone call from Terry Ophorst with some totally unexpected news that shocked me. He explained to me that on inspection the tank had water contaminated fuel and that they needed to remove the fuel sender and tank for a closer look and if it was water contaminated fuel the KIA warranty wouldn’t cover the cost to fix it. I was in total shock hearing this and could not believe it. Terry explained that it was possible I purchased contaminated fuel from a service station. I explained to him that I only got my fuel from four local service stations and purchased my last fuel from a Caltex Service station nearby and hadn’t heard about contaminated fuel recently or ever.
Terry called me back later in the afternoon and explained that they had found water contaminated fuel in the tank, which resulted in catastrophic corrosion of the fuel sender and fuel tank and the cost to fix it would be $2300.00.
I had no choice but to pay the $2300.00 to fix the car but vowed to further investigate this issue specifically the four service stations I purchased the fuel from.
I contacted all four service stations and made a fuel contamination claim to investigate whether any water contaminated fuel had been sold at their fuel pumps going back to 12 May 2015, the day I received the car.
I received reports of their investigation from all four service stations and have attached them for your perusal. All claim there were no incidences of water contamination over the said period.
These results mean How? Where? and When? did the water get in the tank?
Since there are only two parties that handle the cars driving and maintenance, one of them is I and the other is KIA Rockingham. I only drive the car a few days a week and I can testify that the car is locked up every day and every night under a carport behind a 1.8m fence and it’s never been broken into, stolen or vandalised in any way or have I ever driven in the rain with its fuel cap open.
Since its unknown how contaminated fuel got in the tank KIA should not place the blame on me and make me pay for the repairs, instead KIA should take responsibility for the failure of their product and reimburse me for a total of $2300.00
Kind regards,
Antonio Francisco
customer service
My name is Jennifer Pinto. I have been a Kia customer since 2011 and have thoroughly enjoyed the quality of my vehicles and been pleased with the customer service I have received over the phone as well as in various KIA stores. However, my feelings about the quality of KIA’s customer service have changed since my fiancés last visit to the KIA store located on Sahara, in Las Vegas NV.
On Wednesday 5/10/17, I arranged for my fiancé to bring the vehicle in for service, as I was working. When he told me what had happened while he was waiting for the vehicle, I was absolutely disgusted with the service rendered at the Sahara location.
While I understand that there is no way to determine if an employee is racist at the time they are hired, certain observed behaviors should not be tolerated by the public or KIA management. At the very least, cultural awareness training should be a component of the hiring process. As a result of KIA’s ability to train competent, respectful team members, or KIA’s inability to address these behaviors with their staff, my fiancé was deeply offended by KIA team members and the victim of racism while at the KIA store.
As he waited in the waiting service area for the vehicle among other customers enjoying the complimentary popcorn, he noticed 2 different female team members walk by observing him sitting in the waiting area, not paying attention to the other customers in the room. One of the employees reentered and observed only him among the other customers again. Shortly after, he was approached by a third team member who walked directly to him and asked, “Is someone helping you?” My fiancé replied “yes.” The team member then asked, “Who is helping you?”
The outrageous assumptions made by KIA team members were out of line and determined by race. No other customers were approached as they waited, for their vehicles. However, they also were not black.
This issue needs to be addressed at the Sahara location. Though, the discrimination that occurs every day cannot be stopped, one does not expect to fall victim to it at a place of business where they spend a great deal of money. It is very bad for business.
Thank you,
Jennifer Pinto
