I worked for Kmart for 33 years and after a serious accident where I was forced to retire, I applied for my pension. I have received 2 sets of paperwork at 2 separate addresses, showing incomplete information. I sent the final completed copies in mid-September and called again in October to verify that my pension was being processed. I was told that my pension check would be processed 45 days from the date of my last completed documents and the calculated date was for November 19, 2012. The person on the phone verified that everything was completed. I called on November 20, 2012 to ask why my check wasn't deposited and was given a new story. They claim that the final paperwork wasn't received until late October which would be a lie. After being persistent in asking for a date of when I would get my check, she finally said 'probably after January 1st because the last useless representative claims I didn't send the final paperwork until the late October date. I have had to delay payments for a hospital bill because of Kmart's lies to me and of course the hospital put me in the credit bureau because they don't believe me anymore. I asked to speak to someone hire up and was transferred reluctantly. I don't expect to get a call back. I have searched the Kmart/Sears website to see if I can send an email or make a call but there is no contact information. I tried their feedback option but it is only for merchandise or stores. I tried their 'help' but it only provides a blank page. Is there a chance that I am not going to get the pension I worked for? i defended Kmart for many years out of loyalty but not anymore and I will never shop there out of loyalty again either.

Mine was due the ninth and still didn't get one. Apparently one of the papers I sent in I didn't date. So they sent it back and I mailed it right back and they had it completed by my November 9th due date. But because of that they said I will get mine in the last batch..whenever that is.
my ex got hers today. we are in pa and live a couple miles away. Mine not here. Kinda worried now:)

Rose, when you called the new number they informed you your check is going out on the 17th? What date was your paperwork due back? (just being curious) Thx
tangel, i was the last batch due back (nov 19th), when i called friday, check was done and date 12/14, but mailing on 12/17 they told me that was the final batch intil january checks, and those checks are for people that had until december to return...so you should be getting your this week too...call the [protected] they can verify it went out for you
I getting scared no it now I called Friday she didn't see my check going out told me SEE IT PAYROLL but no date call Monday... praying it out I'm so happy for all of you guys

My paperwork was the 16th, it was mailed on the 11th and I received it on the 15th...in Massachusetts, from Florida.

I'm hoping with you rose. Mine was due November 9th and I haven't gotten anything either. I hope we both get it soon. I'm really wanting to give my kids a nice Christmas. Plus pay some bills. It has been and extremely hard year.
Rose80. Did they tell u it went out before and now they tell you they dont see it? Or did you call and they just told u they dont see it?
they have given me so many stories. one time they told me i would have it by 17th then they told me it was going out the 17th and another time they didn't see that a check had been issued yet. Also, another time they said they have no way to check and see if a check had been written. I don't know what to believe.
they told me may go out on 14th then say didn't see it check on Friday try Monday she said may be going out this weekend im just scared really am, , , , need it so bad YOU guys don't be sad for me its just my luck but im so glad u guys are getting them does give hope
I'm pretty happy about this though mine is not a lot something is better than nothing

hang in there rose. Im sure it will come this week. My return date was the 16th. I called on thursday and was told it was mailed on december 11th. Thats all I can say about the 16th date.

Mailed the paperwork in plenty of time for my November 9th due date. the [protected] number does not show that they have even processed my check yet. They told me to call the [protected] number. He says my check was mailed Friday. I asked him if that was in my record and he said he couldn't look but all remaining checks were mailed last Friday. Don't know if I believe him though. He could not give me an amount.
there is one more number...try this [protected], maybe they can help, the [protected] can't give any specific info, they are just the people who submit the paperwork for payment, they do not issue the checks
Ty but I tried that number both options and one wants a pass code and the other doesn't recognize my social and it keeps putting me back through the loop. Guess I'm just going to have to wait it out. Hopefully they were correct that all checks have been mailed now.
They should be able to give you full amount. Before taxes and the net amount of the check. I would push the issue with them.
im getting same ### there saying it been mailed at 3212 and the other department wouldn't see it do to I never worked after 1996 for sears and im getting lump sum ... grrrrrrrr hate them and the games
I understand your frustration, I am also getting the runaround. I have been calling since last week to get information on my lump sum and so far not getting information at all. I was getting encouraged when others were starting to get information when their checks were sent and received, but in my case that his not the situation. My due date was Nov 9 and mailed my paperwork in Sept. I called [protected] and told my paperwork received and in good order and should have my check Dec 17 or after. Called both [protected] and [protected] to get more mailing and amount information and at both numbers told me the check has not even been printed yet and can not give me a date at all when it will be printed or any other information and tell me to call the 1232 # for more information. I have been on the the phone all the morning and and not any further ahead.
Just called my bank. they say the check will have a 7 business hold on it. Thats past christmas:(. Anybody have that issue?
Thats soo odd. Cant get info! I called they put me on hold for 3minutes. Gave me the exact amount and the date it was mailed. I dont understand why that info is not available to you.
Confused I was told same thing so I'm going to have to go to a check cashing place if it comes before Christmas as I need it for children's gifts. I usually cash at walmArt and they don't charge much but it is a little over the $5000 limit. And I'm still getting run around and have given up on calling.
ok confused 999990 ask ur bank to give some and ask then call that verity the check ... 2nd did work before 1996 3rd when u called about it was it after it was mailed or day it was being mailed now they say if being mail today they wouldn't see it until tomorrow ...anyone getting of this bs
That sucks pcmnqn! I cant stand banks. They want money but never want to give it back. Its a leg pension check. I am in Penna. No check cashing services here. So Iam screwed till after Christmas even if it comes today!
if call a bank ask them verify check and only need like 1500 I have good luck 53 bank, wells fargo hey (PCMNQN) did they find ur check?////
Rose. They wont even give me a partial. I called on Thursday. I am in the Nov 16th date. They told me it was mailed on Dec 11th so I am hoping it comes today. Wait for it and now wait another 7 business days to use it. I am bummed!

Hi confused99990. I did call again after my last posting regarding my check information at the 1232# and all I was told the check was mailed last week but could not give me a date when it was printed or mailed. They told me I would have to wait until the end of the month if I dont receive the check before they will do anything. I just received my mail and no check today! I am just perplexed why some of us can obtain information and some of us cant.
has anyone received a check with the dec 14th date yet? my mail came, nothing :(

my ex wife live 3 miles from me. Her check came saturday. I didnt get my mail yet, but not optimistic with all I am reading. Will let you guys know what happens today
