cereal
My wife used to purchase several boxes of your peanut butter multi-grain toasted cereal a week for her and a friend. However, you have changed the recipe by doubling the sugar and calling it 'sweetened'. She will not buy cereal with so much sugar. I can understand that this might appeal to children (and purchased by unenlightened parents), but can you at least bring back the less sweetened version so that others can enjoy? Surely the additional choice will be welcomed by your shoppers. Thanks for your time.

$300 worth of moneypak green dot cards purchased with $0 money on them
On 9/10/2017, I bought 5 green dot money paks or $50 each at the kroger located on lowes drive in clarksville, tennessee, totaling $300.
Unfortunately, when I got ready to download the money paks to my green dot visacard, on 10/26/2017, the online transfer said that the card had already been used. I am disappointed because I did not use my money prior to trying to download it. I contacted green dot and was told to go to www.moneypak.com and file for my refund. I communicated with this online site on october 27th, nov 2nd (4 emails), nov 4th (6 emails), nov 7th (6 emails), nov 10 (6 emails), nov 14th and nov 23rd and received some miscellaneous comments:
"we have completed our review and determined that green dot is not liable for returning any funds for the reasons(s) listed below: you provided the moneypak information to the recipient. There were no funds to recover."
This is a crazy response. I purchased the green dot's money pak cards in good faith that I would be able to transfer them to a credit card for purchase and my money has been stolen. For one thing, kroger sold me the cards at $5.95 each in good faith. I was told that kroger's policy is the pay with cash for green dot/money pak cards. For another thing, when I went to kroger to let them know that I could not access the funds on my card, they told me to come back the next day and they would research and find out the dates, times, and occurrence of who took money from my card - as this is a standard service for vendors whose gift cards and money cards kroger sells. When I returned, kroger called green dot and there response was to have me, the client contact www.moneypak.com. Obviously, I feel taken advantage of and mistreated.
I want my money back plus my $5.95 fee per card. This is simply unacceptable.
• I filed a police report with officer shawn delle at www.clarksvillepd.org cpd17-104749
• filed a complaint with the local clarksville, tennessee better business bureau in tennessee on november 20th. (complaint id#: 583791 business name: green dot corporation)
To resolve the problem, I would appreciate your company sending me my money back plus my $5.95 for each card purchased. Enclosed are copies of my records (include and not limited to purchase receipts from kroger, copies of money pak cards, police reports files, emails from green dot, etc…).
I look forward to your speedy reply and a resolution to my problem and will wait until one week before seeking help from a consumer protection agency or better business bureau. Please contact me at the above address or by phone at 916.949.6805 and via email [protected]@gmail.com.
My next step will be to continue a complaint with:
• bbb california
• consumer complaint with consumer affairs
• fbi complaint
• econsumer.gov
• econsumer.gov and other sites to report fraud as seen on https://www.usa.gov/stop-scams-frauds#item-35157
If feel that the kroger company should not endorse companies who have obviously been known to take customers money. Apparently, green dot has been stealing clients' money for a while. This was my 1st time purchasing green dot money pak cards.
I spoke with assistant manager, john friend on wednesday, november 29th about this matter at the kroger lowes drive location.
I expect to receive my money asap.
I hand delivered letters again requesting my $300 plus $5.95 from kroger for money pak purchases on saturday, dec 2nd.
As of 12/4/2017, I have not received any response from kroger.
saturday's download coupon - 99 cent crisco
I have been a faithful Kroger customer at the Cookeville, TN location for many years. I am usually in Kroger 2 to 3 times a week, but I have started getting the bulk of my groceries on Saturday because of the Saturday digital coupon. This past Saturday, December 2nd, was a nightmare. By the time I arrived at 11 a.m., all the Crisco was sold out. I was told by an associate, I could substitute a different oil or get a rain check. There was no oil left in the store to substitute with, so I went to customer service to get a rain check. Upon arriving I was told that no rain checks would be given. In other words, TOO BAD. Needless to say, I was not happy. I finally found someone, Erin, who believed in taking care of the customer. She went out on a limb and wrote me a rain check. I am very disappointed in the customer service given to shoppers on Saturday. Besides being a mad house, loyal customers went home without their promised product.
Disappointed in Kroger, Sheila Chaffin
bagger
When you have all perishables on converor together, why would you put cottage cheese in bag with non parisables, why cake mix in bag with, I have complained constant on the bagging of groceries the right way, especially when they are already in bag order
Money is hard earned and nothing is cheap
Another,
ready made pie crust in bag with fresh turkey along with items in the crust
I keep saying no more, but have shopped kroger for years and hate that you can't train your baggers, don't say you don't have time for your checker should monitor and not talk
Plus right at noon time and have no chicken,
Not only me but another customer wanting rotisserie chicken and none available
No one to check as to why
customer service money order transaction
I shop at Kroger for all my grocery needs. I have been purchasing money orders from Kroger almost every month for the 1 years I have been in the state of Georgia. I use a pre paid debit card to purchase those money orders when I do.
Today 12/02/2017 my husband went into Kroger Windward Commons in Alpharetta 30004 and was treated as if he had stolen a card and had been attempting to steal someones money. He asked the woman who would only identify herself as Maria, for a money order for 1, 016. She asked to see his card..then asked to see his ID.. then after seeing his card and his ID decided to tell him that Kroger does not except prepaid cards for money transactions. Which is a not true because as I stated in the beginning we have used this card to purchase money orders from Kroger countless times.
When my husband called and told me I called the store and Maria gave me the same spiel which is not possibly true. She even went so far as to say they have fired employees for allowing money transactions using prepaid cards.
My family chooses to shop at Kroger over Publix because the prices are great and there is always a family feel when I shop there.
As a Black man in these already racially tense times, my husband found himself being racially profiled, embarrassed and humiliated first as if he was some kind of criminal and then as if his money was not good enough to spend in Kroger.
Maria was clearly judging him by his skin color in assuming that his card was stolen and I honestly expected more from a Kroger associate, especially a member of management, as she stated she was a manager.
rude, poor service
12/01/2017
I was in the self checkout line.I had an item ring up wrong and Kayla
The cashier that was in charge of self checkout came over and fix the item. She(Kayla)then went to another cashiers line swinging a broom like a baton, to go flirt with this young man and his friend that was hanging out.Another person in self checkout was having a problem, he was looking for someone to help him.She reluctantly went to go help him.I also needed help again and waited while she is swinging this broom flirting 2 lines down from where she was supposed to be. Mr. Harvey then came to help me.Telling Kayla she needed to be with her area. She told him she needed to move, because people were being rude to her, she continued to flirt with this young man...
I waited again... all in all I was in line for over 20 minutes, because she wouldn't help her customers. I am very thankful to Mr. Harvey for helping me and another person. She is not a person that should not represent Kroger's.
Very upsetting experience's.
unethical behaviour
Date of Incident 11/30/2017 at approximately 8 pm. Kroger's in Durham, North Carolina (North Pointe Store)
I have never been treated so poorly by both associates and Management ever before. The task was simple, we wanted to order 2 birthday cakes for 2 children. We had the 2 children with us along with a younger child. There was a woman there in front of us. She ordered a cake without incident then once she was finished everyone disappeared. No one wanted to help us to order our cakes, all the associates just walked off and suddenly became "dumb" as to how to order a cake. They were deli workers and claimed to know nothing about cakes, despite helping the woman in front of us. We asked for a manager. We were told the manager also didn't know anything about ordering cakes! They wouldn't call the manager and I had to actually get on my daughters cell phone and call the store from inside the store! No answer so we went to customer service and finally a cashier called the manager for us! He wasn't interested in what happened to us, or how we were treated. He was rude to my grandson, it was a terrible experience. I'm in tears just thinking about how horribly we were treated. I work for Food Lion and I have seen a lot of things, but never ever have I ever dealt with such ignorance in all my life.
very poorly stocked store
I am writing because the Kroger in Cincinnati on Wooster Pike (Mariemont) is beyond a doubt the worst stocked store I have ever encountered (and I spent high school working in grocery stores). My husband and I have experienced them being out of organic whole milk, all brands, at least 15 times. We have a toddler - we need whole milk. Repeatedly they have none. When we push them, they find some in the back but we have to wait 15-20 minutes. This is inconvenient and poor customer service. We spend $500-1000 at Kroger every month but I am ready to go elsewhere. Meyers, Target, and Costco can collectively meet our needs instead. If I have to drive all the way to Oakley for milk, I might as well just go to the Target or Meyers there instead of the Kroger, and I do now. If the Kroger nearest our house (on wooster pike) cannot meet our need of providing organic whole milk for our toddler, I will not buy anything there and instead use other grocery stores. If this was a 1-2 time occurrence it would be understandable but it happens to us at least 4 times a month for the past year. Something clearly is wrong with the way this store is managed.
pharma city
I just got back from krogers in new haven, In. to pay for my pills and they said I owed 35.00 for my blood pressure pills. I had my Good rx coupons with me and they said I could not use them because they expired. I did not know that they ever expired. Why don't they let me know. Now I am out $30.56 on my amlodipine 90 tablets and $15.32 on metoprolol pills. I am thinking about changing to another drug store.
kids lunch meal deal
To whom it may concern,
I went to Kroger on Euclid Avenue in Lexington, KY this evening (Tuesday, 11/28/17) to which I frequently shop. I was looking for something to grab and go quickly but the salad bar was already packed up so I went to the pre-made meals and lunches section. I chose the Ham Kid's Lunch Meal deal. As i was trying to enjoy it i bit into the sandwich and the wrapper from the swiss cheese packaging was on the sandwich. I was disgusted as I had almost ate a piece of paper, and couldn't finish the rest of the meal. I wanted to inform you all so that you can instruct your employees to please make sure these meals are package correctly and safety for consumption. I could have been giving this to a child for lunch and they could have choked due to your poor attention to detail. I will not continue to shop at Kroger for said items due to this event and I request a full refund for my purchase.
This is a third party public complaints website and is not directly affiliated with Kroger. They most likely will not see your complaint here. You should consider bringing the meal along with your receipt back to the store of purchase for a replacement or refund.
kroger employee
On November 28, 2017 around 7:45pm my family and I were checking out at the Kroger on Richmond rd in Lexington Kentucky, in isle 7 when the woman in front of us was having a complication with her prescription from the pharmacy. The cashier whose name was Lauren called someone over for help. The lady who came to assist her was wearing a green vest and her name was Emily. Emily proceeded to call for the pharmacy over the intercom, they did not call the check lane back so Emily who I assume was a supervisor states "If they don't call back in 2 minutes, I am walking my [censor] over there." At this point after both the supervisor and cashier were being loud and very rude my family and I switched isles and went to isle 6. My husband was standing next to the bagger in isle 6 when Emily gets back from the pharmacy. Emily then proceeded to tell my Husband "Sir can you move" never once said excuse me and never once apologized for the way she talked to customers. This employee is all around one of the most rude employees I have ever came in contact with. My daughter then mentions "I wish I knew her name so we could tell someone about the way she talks to customers." My daughter looks back and Emily flips her vest over to where no one can see her name tag. My husband finds her name out and informs the manager. I go to the Kroger on Richmond rd in Lexington Kentucky quite often, it continues to go down hill every time I am there. After this experience I more than likely will not return to the Kroger on Richmond rd in Lexington Kentucky.
poor management
11-27-2017. 8:45 pm. Went to store for several items. Store was very picked over as it usually is. Meat dept wiped out. Pitiful. Empty shelves for many popular items . This store is obviously neglected by mgt all the way up. What really made me furious was that there were no checkout lanes open . I asked the young lady if there was not someone to checkout. She said she was the only one there and she had to work the self checkout lane. I can't tell you how much I hate self checkout ! If there was another supermarket nearby I would go there. It seems like Kroger is trying to make their customers mad. This store used to always be well stocked with employees working but now it is not. The lady at the front desk did not give a crap whether or not customers were served. My wife also mentioned that the parking always has garbage in it. If you don't want to do business in Columbus, then why don't you just shut the store down?
"It seems like Kroger is trying to make their customers mad."
This is obviously not the case as no employee wants to deal with unhappy customers. It's possible they may have had some unexpected staffing shortages as of late.
returns
I bought a camera and it wasn't what we wanted. I bought it from another Kroger store my husband being a driver for Kroger, we shop from Kroger and to keep us in business our entire family also shops Kroger, I took the camera back to the Kroger in Monroe Michigan on Monroe Street on 11/26/2017 at 3:30 pm and the manager denied the return and said I could only take it back at the Kroger I bought it from. If that's the case then why should we buy from Kroger if we cannot trust that we can take an item back to Kroger? This is not right. Every other store takes returns at any store in the country. I'm very dissatisfied with this problem. Thank you, Clyde and Joyce
scan, bag and go
I have tried three times to use Scan, Bag and Go at the Kroger's store on Loveland Madeira Rd in Loveland Ohio. Every time I try it accepts my card scan and begins downloading my account information. Then, it says "error."
I have asked an employee, and someone at the customer service desk. No one knew anything about it. They were polite and apologetic, but no knowledge of how it works at all. I asked if I could speak to the manager at about 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 26th. They didn't come talk to me because "they don't know anything about it." Can someone at Krogers please help me use this app ?
I have an iPhone 5. I use the in store Scanner, but I thought it would great to skip the lines by paying through my phone.
gas
A loyal customer got gas. They charged their account for the amount. Put the acvount in hold but also charged their account again for the same same amount. A double charge and used their customers money for three to four days before taking it off hold and crediting them back. Drop Kroger for the unfair treatment of long time customer and using their menu by charging double. They also have no business snooping into customers bank accounts. That is inexcusable treatment of any customer. Stop shopping at Lagrange Kroger. I certainly am. I am going to Walmart!
krogers policy
The other day I want into K rogers to get some stuff some assisted manager came up and started to harass me in regards to my laptop bag I was carrying telling me I have to leave that up front I did not say anything then but I saw him out site I confronted him and attempted to him that woman carry hand bags and other things like that he took a attitude with me and I just left as I seen there was no reasoning with him This is a bunch of bull [censor] and is nothing but discrimination between genders any time you allow one gender to have a privilege and not the other gender that is discrimination short and simple, this excuse to catch shop lifters is lame if man have to leave their personal belongings up front that so should man I fully intend to report this to the news and make it public to...
management
I am a customer at Kroger on Shore Dr, in Virginia Beach. We have a new Assistant Manager called Charles. He looks like a Mexican descent who doesn't like Asians. He doesn't know his job requirement, or connected some other conspiracy hate group as political stooge or puppet. What his goal is not solving any problem through professional manner, but trying stop coming any one who doesn't follow him. If you are standing for your legal stand, and he will say you cannot come to my store no more. This is a discrimination and racism based on their national background.
customer service/deli employee
11/19/2017
6:00 pm
To whom it may concern
I was 3rd in line to be serviced (there were only three of us waiting) the gentleman that was being helped by the young lady (also of whom this complaint is submitted "Lisi" [her name tag]). An elderly man was next, he was being serviced by a another deli employee (Kyle) of which there were several. Once the young lady was done with the first customer she turned and asked the elderly man did he need help of witch is understandable because, though, he and I were standing less than 2 feet apart he was closer to the counter. Once he responded that he was already being helped she looked me directly in my face and walked away. In my opinion it was unprofessional, rude, and a direct disregard for customer service; discriminatory.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this complaint
I would refrain from using the word discriminatory unless you have some sort of evidence proving discrimination.
I work in the deli in Kroger Christiansburg, Va. and can affirm the fact that they trained that girl to walk away from a customer. Yep. I went ballistic on our deli manager for scheduling only two people on a Friday night with no one in the bakery. On top of a line ten deep ALL night long, we had to keep running over to the bakery to help those customers, keep up with clicklist orders, and the grab 'n go box. I assure you, it was exactly like the worst nightmare you've ever had. We couldn't take any of our breaks and so we closed the deli early. When I besmirched the manager for that oversight, he simply said, "You have to take your breaks, even if it means walking away from a customer"--- complaining about this will fall on deaf ears. I am sorry that happened to you.
unethical behavior
I am a regular Kroger customer and spend up to a thousand dollars a month in Kroger. I especially love the pharmacy at the Kroger in Dacula, Braselton Hwy. However, I am very disappointed in the treatment of employees. In 1999, I also tried working at Kroger and it did not work out. My Son has worked for Kroger 3 times since 1999 and it never worked out.
Despite the good prices on food and merchandise, I have noticed that some of the employees are often mistreated., My son, began his job there each time, letting it be known that he had a physical and mild mental disability and that he would need breaks. He rarely got breaks and they were never long enough to re-charge. He worked at the Kroger at Riverside Parkway last year. While bringing in buggies in the rain (it was pouring) he was sent a message to hurry up, He could hardly see in the rain. He also could only bring in a few at a time due to his back. (Which he made clear when he was hired.) The problem seems to be that no matter what one tells the management when they are hired, it is soon forgotten. Then that person cannot keep up with the demands and is treated as a failure. That incident was 2017. Jared Harris is his name. I would like to suggest better training and perhaps someone to oversee employees who need extra help. Maybe your turnover rate would drop with a few changes. Kroger always seems to need help. Your courtesy clerks are mostly teenagers and older people. There does not seem to be much of an incentive. Especially since most people pay for their groceries with credit and there usually is no cash for tips. I am just kindly asking that you make working and staying at Kroger more pleasant and fair. Also, please ask your younger workers to treat the older workers with more respect and not in a condescending manner. I have witnessed that on more than a few occasions because as I said, I shop in Kroger a lot. Surely, Kroger management is aware of the many options in the Atlanta area for shopping. Your competition problem is not your prices. It is your customer service and the respect you do not show for your employees.
Respectfully yours, Carol Lynn Harris [protected]@gmail.com
The employee in question (your son) needs to address these issues with a human resources representative or store manager. Unfortunately your feedback does not have much value as you are his mother and are naturally going to support him with or without the full story. If they are not making accommodations that he needs for his disability, this should definitely be reported as they are legally required to under the ADA.
non-availability of weekly sale paper
I visited the Canton's Kroger store located at 45540 Michigan Ave Canton, MI on 11/15/17 Wednesday morning at approximately 8:00am. Upon entering the store and needing the weekly sale paper to do my shopping, there was not one current sale paper in the bin. The only paper that was available was the past week's sale paper of which that sale had ended the morning I visited the store. I inquired at the Customer Service Desk to obtain a current paper and they had none in the store at all, thus causing me to not do my shopping. It was at that point I simply turned around and left out of the store an unsatisfied customer. I had passed a Meijers store to shop at a Kroger's store. I could have stopped at Meijers to do my weekly shopping, but I specifically wanted to go to Kroger's because I know they usually have good sales. To bypass a potential shopping trip at Meijers and go to a Kroger's store proved to be futile and simply a waste of time! I just wanted to inform Kroger's to please be mindful in providing the necessary tools, such as the weekly paper by making them available in a timely manner at the store. People's time is valuable and gas to travel out of the way to Kroger's stores are also valuable. In addition, there are times when items that are advertised being on sale, are not available, even on the first day of the sale! This too is very annoying and also a waste of time to attempt to obtain the item only to be informed that the item isn't in stock, and this is on the FIRST DAY of the sale! Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I hope there would be a resolve to all issues stated.
