customer service
I went in with my husband yesterday 11/14/2017 and we decided to cash ourselves out thru self check . The cokes we bought is buy 4 and get them for 88 cents ! as it was ringing up the price was showing 1.79 a piece instead of 88 cents so I pushed the attendant button for help . She helps the person next to us and looks at us and walks off. I ask her to please come help and she did but never ask or said a thing . Complete silence with lots of attitude ! This is not good customer service . The crew that works behind the customer service desk is also very, very rude and lots of attitude ! The manager really needs to address this situation and hire more friendly people for this store. Also the security for this store at night sits down on the handicap shopping carts talking on their phone and just ignore whats going on around them . What kind of security is that? This makes kroger look really bad ! This happens to be a kroger that is right in front of the apartments I live in but with this being the case I will just take my business else where. The store address is 3930 clarksville hwy., nashville, tn. The cashier was Check 502 at 5:41 p.m. on 11/14/17
oil spill at fred meyer fuel #390
While pumping gas at oil spill at Fred Meyer Fuel #390 on 11/15/17 @ approx. 9:38am I slipped on extremely slick "oil/gas" spill at pump #12. Then bottom of sperry topsiders (shoes) saturated with oil residue. Attempted to drive car - stopped car approx. 20 feet from pump as I could not drive vehicle because of slick shoe soles slipping off foot brakes and gas petal and floor mats of 2017 Jeep Rubicon. Immediately informed FM teller of oil spill and potential dangers to other customers. Noticed heavy oil (colored) liquid mixed with rain approx. 30 ' feet in length running down water drainage coverts- expanding throughout frontage of most pumps. I used northface jacket to wipe all shoes, rug interior and petals after inability to drive car . Interior smells of heavy chemicals, jacket probably ruined. Slipped again while exiting vehicle at work location at 610 N. Fife and twisted knee from slippery shoes on saturated pavement.
Seeking immediate remedy to all clothing items involved and car interior. May seek medical attention and other possible legal advice for further information and monitor injury . Tom Gallucci
buying turkeys, for a feed the need, free thanksgiving meal open to the public to help those less families of low income.
My name is Jimmy Peck, I am the Pastor of Baptist Tabernacle in Nicholson Ga. I also am on the Jackson County Parks and Rec. Board of Administrators. I am not a complaining kind of person because I know how the public can be. That being said, I have shopped at Kroger in Jefferson Ga. ever since they have opened. I am a hall of fame coach of Jackson County and I am also a Deacon at Tyrus Baptist Church. I am constantly doing things for our community. About 13 years ago Baptist Tabernacle started a free thanksgiving meal day to be open to the public for low income families. We feed about 800 to 1000 people every year and the only way we can do that us help from the community. Well to make a long story short my motherboard at Baptist Tabernacle contacted Kroger upon my request to purchase turkeys from them this year instead of Ingles in Commerce simply because I do a lot of shopping there. Ingles was giving us turkeys at.48 cent a pound and Kroger informed us that they couldn't sale them to us for that but they would come down to.59 if we where interested. So since I do shop at Kroger and I thought it would be good to keep in contact with my Fellowshiping with people at Kroger I personally told my motherboard to purchase the turkeys from Kroger. Well when my 73 year old treasure goes to pick up the turkeys with my 50 year old secretary, they only was able to pick up 15 turkeys because they charged around 1.57 cent a pound for Turkey's. My treasure tried to explain to the person in charge that she called the store to make sure that we would get the turkeys for.59 cent a pound. She went on and bought the 15 turkeys anyway because she is a nice old lady. So I tried to call and talk to the one who was rude and let him know that we were told that we could purchase the turkeys go.59 cent a pound. I even told him it was for a Feed The Need Meal. He could have cared less. I tried to explain that we do this every year for families and have done it over a decade. Again he could care less. I told him that we wouldn't be able to do this without help from the community to pay for the food. Again he didn't care. I even explained that we was driving past Ingles to do business with Kroger even when Ingles was cheaper. Again he didn't care. So I asked him could we at least get store credit on the difference in prices that was promised because we had several hundred of dollars of stuff that we needed to purchase. He said no again. I have never been lied to or talked to or disrespected by anyone like this before. Not only do I have a congregation that is wanting to protest a grocery store I have a County who is appalled. I can't understand why he felt the need to humiliate a very old lady or why he could not honor what we had been told. My heart was broke. Now I am trying to bring understanding to a congregation that things like this happen. Just pray for the one man who is disrespecting us. I wish that someone could contact me and help our little Church and return or give the the church store credit to help show that Kroger is not responsible for a bad decision that an employee makes. Baptist Tabernacle, Tyrus Baptist Churches and the Jackson County Parks and Rec. have all come to the conclusion to no longer do any shopping at any Kroger store because of the dishonestly and disrespect that was given to the community in this time of need. I am not a person to protest I am a person who prays. I believe that prayer is much more powerful than protesting. So I have prayed and I truly believe that Kroger will contact me in some form or fashion and make this right. You can follow through with all the information that I have given you and see that all is true. My spelling and grammar is not up to par but my Faith is strong. My Phone # is [protected], my name is Jimmy Peck, my address is 258 Wilson Cem. Rd. Nicholson Ga. I am a honest just man and I truly hope you are as well. Help me keep peace in our community and please call me or make some kind of effort to make this wrong way of doing business become a right way of helping us to Feed The Need. Thank you very much.
kroger gift card fraud
I purchased a Kroger Gift Card on September 11th for the amount of $50 from store 316 8 8 110. This card was for a friend, who was a victim of hurricane Harvey. She was given the card 2 weeks after and decided to use it on November 13. She was informed card remaining balance was $1.79. She contacted customer service on gift card and was informed card was used on September 12 in another area and there was nothing they could do to help her. The card was in my possession on September 12 and was sealed in an envelope, so this clearly shows someone stole the card number and was able to use it. I contacted customer service again today, since I'm the person that purchased the gift card. After waiting for 30 minutes on the phone, I received the same response and was not offered any solution. It's very unfortunate that your store has no plan in place for fraud victims and your store supports this by not offering any assistance to your customer. Your store and the thief can keep those $50 since you just lost a customer who shops at Kroger 3-4 times a week. I will no longer shop at ANY Kroger ever again.
the entire store
This is directed at Kroger in Taylor off Ecorse rd. I have been regularly shopping here for the last 15 years and now I cannot stand even pulling into the parking lot. Today my issue I came to get lunchables and pepperoni for my kids lunches and they are completely out and this happens at least once a week. Having four children when I have the time to grocery shop I come in to grab anything and everything I could possibly need for the week. Lately, every time I leave here I have to stop at another store so I can grab all the items Kroger is yet again out of. Over the summer I had issues with fruit rotten fruit still out for customers to see. The customer service desk is terrible there has been times where I have waited 30 minutes for a manager and not one came over after being called 10x. Its ridiculous.
birthday cake
I had placed an order for a Birthday cake a day in advance, the girl took the order and told me everything should be fine if there is a problem the will call you. I went the other day to pick it up. I had to wait over 20 minutes untile some one show up on the bakery department and after another 10 minutes search they told me they did not make my Perdue because there was a problem with order and called me but I didn't answer. No one had called me not left me a voice mail! I requested to have a word with the store manger, they called the manger over and over an hour later show up the manger. I explained the issue, he didn't offer any reasonable solution. He went inside and pick up a cake over a cart not even on cooler. Looks like been ther for hours. He states that he will give me a discount if I take that cake!
Is that how you handle costumers ? Have a birthday party everything set up but no cake image a birthday without a cake. I had to go and buy plane cake from a cake shop.
out of stock on so many items
I have been shopping Kroger for years and to say I am disappointed is an understatement. I shop 2 different stores in the 45244 zip code and they both have the same issue, out of stock on items like mayonaise and margarine not to mention cranberry sauce the week before Thanksgiving! I have given it a month but sad to say I will be doing my shopping at Meijer from now on.
david pemberton
I am a daily shopper of this store. My children and I have grown very close to many employees. We have had many problems with one employee, David Pemberton. He has recently transferred to this location and works in the dairy department. He always has several carts and pallets of stock on the floor and in the way. Today was no exception. I finally asked him directly of he knew how inconvenient it was for customers that so much be on the floor. He immediately started yelling at me defensively. I told him to forget it that I would just address it with management. He told me to contact cooperate and tell them "what a [censor]" job they do because they won't "give us hours". He also blamed night shift. He kept yelling at me when I pointed out that previous employees had never had such a mess out, he began banging the dairy case doors against the carts out of anger and kicking and slamming the carts. All of this with a very crowded store of customers looking on. He continued on to call me "rude, ignorant and asinine". In front of two of my children might I add. He then called management back. When the manger, Lisa, came, he kept yelling as she asked me what the problem was. I tried to tell her and he screamed, "No! You WILL LOOK at me" and pointed to his own eyes. He said he didn't care how inconvenient it was to me or any customer. I tried to step aside and speak with Lisa but he continued yelling. I finally just told her through tears from being so upset and humiliated that I was done and would not be back. I spend well over $1000/month on average in that store. I refuse to be treated like that by anyone. I will be following up on all of this with management but I will shop at Walmart or another local grocery store as long as he is employed there.
local store rarely has free friday download item
Today was the third time in as many months I have walked to my local Kroger to get the Free Friday item and it was out of stock. I have had it with Kroger. I spend about $800.00 a month at grocery stores. Kroger used to get 90% of my business. I will no longer shop there. I now have an Aldi', Lidl's, and Publix close by. They seem more receptive to my business. The above isn't the only issue. Have you also done away with your scan right guarantee? If you haven't you need to educate your staff, because the last few times I have asked a clerk about it they say they have never heard of it.
rude disrespectful service
My complaint is towards a employee at the west Michigan street by the name of Marylynn. Everytime I come to the store I'm always disrespected by this individual I also have my kids with me its others as well. This is the only Krogers that I've had problems with. I dont appreciate it if I come to shop and spend money. This isnt the first time that this has happened.
the entire store
I have never came to a smiths store to recently moving to Law Vegas 2 1/2 weeks ago. My husband had bought to much energy drinks but lost the receipt to return. I called before coming in the young lady said to come and they would give me a gift receipt. I came to the store off Flamingo and Sandhill the most rudest young lady at customer service its November 10, 3:09 pm just in case the mangers want to see who she was. She was already rude to all the other customers so I should have expected her to be rude to me. Well instead of giving me any explanation she called the manager and the manager said no. I had 3 items and I'm new here. When I ask why she said I don't know. Well I go to my husband waiting in the car and he tells me to go in to complain and ask for an explanation. I go speak to one and she says go ahead and bring it in and she will give me a gift card. I come back in after getting my things and she had the ugliest attitude her name was Janie. She even tried to ask me the name of the person who said to come in . I said the person never said and she tried to tell me they always do. I'm 42 yrs old have being doing customer service since I was 18 now we all know they don't always say there name I know at times I haven't. But she was trying g to tell me they wont ever do this without a receipt ever again. Now I felt like she was impliing something also because of the way I look . I'm Hispanic with tattoos on one arm but to her surprise my husband owns his own company and we do well . but instead she was already judging me by the way I look. I feel they all need a lesson on how to probably treat customers. Customers come first not them that's what makes customers come back to your business. But you really need to see first hand how that store is.
management
My car was struck in the parking lot by an employee who was bringing a long line of shopping carts back into the store. In July. I have been in contact with them since. Each time I contact the manager I am told he will get back to me. The managers never do. I have been very patient. It is almost mid November. I had just gotten the car. I was shopping when it happened. Another customer told me what happened. I was very emotional because my daughter died 6 weeks prior to that. I have 2 case numbers and the person who called today gave me a different case #.
unauthorized credit card charge
On November 5, 2017 an unauthorized charge of $1200.00 was made to my check card at Delhi Krogers in Cincinnati. The card was in my possession so I can only assume that a criminal had access to my information. How could this happen? Would this not have been a red flag to your employee's. Did anyone think to check ID? My bank is working on the situation and the funds will be recovered, but it could take up to 10 days! So, $1200.00 is frozen! What is YOUR responsibility to preventing such fraudulent behavior?
stocking
I shop at Kroger in the zip code 26062 on Three springs Drive. I would like to complain about items constantly being out of stock. This is not an occasional occurrence, this is every time I shop. I stopped going to Walmart for awhile because of this, now Kroger is worse than Walmart, therefore I shop at Kroger much less. There is no excuse for multiple items to be out, shelves empty. We are not in the middle of winter and storms. i certainly hope you address this issue with management. This didn't used to be an issue so what has changed?
service, product and management response
I have been a loyal customer for nine years. On November 8 at approximately 6 pm, I was dismayed by the condition of the store. Shelves were empty in many areas including frozen foods. I spend 40.00 dollars and went home. I called and spoke to the manager Donna to voice my concerns that the store was under stocked and messy. Her excuse was that they were having trouble getting people to stock the shelves. I found that was an unacceptable answer and told her it was her job to fix these problems. If it was the day before Thanksgiving, I would understand. Donna told me she was sorry but that was about it. At least I care enough about the store to call and complain.
I shop Krogers approximately every other day as it is two blocks from home. I never can fill my grocery list cause the items I need are not in stock or have quit being on the shelves- thus I guess they quit carrying same. I never had any problem in 57 years shopping at Krogers with this, but find the shelves filled with odd brand canned foods and stock and a lot of food geared toward the Spanish population. I like Spanish foods but American foods more as This area is more populated with Americans not Mexicans, Etc. I have dear Spanish-Bolivian friends so am not prejudice. But, I am thinking of looking for a new store. The produce is shown if you look at the small stickers, is from out of the country mostly..Apples are half the size they use to carry. and last ones I bought when cut open had green slimmy insides even though I had bought it hours before and it looked perfect on outside.
Issues happen with staffing and supply that may have caused the situation. The manager apologized. There is nothing else they need to do and you should be more understanding.
deli
Kroger 405 Bartlett Tn. 11/05/17 5:46pm
Went to buy an 8pc chicken in the deli. At this time of day there were only 2 fried chickens in warmer trays at front register & in deli. Also the deli server in the deli had only limited pcs left with no breasts. The chicken had no time they were put out. The time I actually got to the store was approx. 5pm. I
waited at the deli counter for 10 minutes with two other people ahead of me. The clerk that waited on me asked what the customers wanted & told the first customer she had no idea when the chickens were put in server . The second customer wanted a roasted chicken -there were probably 20 standing near the ovens waiting to be packaged. The customer wanted one that was ready in the oven & the clerk said it would be a few minutes & went & waited on someone else. She came back & prepared my order in a foam tray not designed for the 8pc chicken & again went to wait on someone else in the deli line. This is not the first time I have experienced picking up chicken at a time of day that should have the trays ready to buy.
I am an ex employee of Kroger & I'm very disappointed in my stores service from customer service on down. I called the manager after we ate our dinner & will be reimbursed for my cost of the chicken, however this store is declining in service & Kroger has a monolpy in all of Bartlett & just offer the best service possible. I left my disabled husband alone thinking I would return in 20 min. max. I returned home in 45 min. which was dark by then & try not to be out after dark. Please make improvements in this stores service. I used to be proud to work for Kroger but so sorry the direction the stores are going.
gas points taken away
On Nov 4th 2017 I received 189 points. I went back on Nov 5th and got 11 point to total 20. On the receipt it shows 11 points and a total of 187 points. Makes no sense whatsoever. I had an empty gas tank and was counting on that 20 cent discount. I tired to show and explain to the person at the gas station. He said he couldn't do anything. He was rude ACTED like he didn't care. I am e tremely upset.i go to kroger everyday. Only place I ever get gas.
Do you have some sort of proof showing that you previously had the higher number of points? If not, they probably cannot assist you or reimburse you.
kroger infants' pain & fever medication
I recently purchased a package of Kroger Infants' Pain & Fever medication (4 FL OZ/118 mL) on Nov 4, 2017 at a Fred Meyer store in Tualatin, OR 97062. The stopper in the bottle was installed upside down and was not functioning. This appears to be a manufacturing/packaging defect from the manufacturer/bottler.

You will need to bring the product along with your receipt back to the store for a refund or replacement.
I was told I could not receive kroger coupons in the mail
I shopped at Kroger today and as I was in the check out line, I noticed the person in front of me using Kroger coupons. When it was my turn to check out, I asked the cashier about the coupons the person had used and was told that it was coupons the customer received in the mail. I asked her how I too could receive the coupons and she told me to call the number on the back of my Kroger card. I called the number and was told that I could not receive the coupons because I did not have enough "shopping history" on file. I have shopped at Kroger for many years so I do not understand this reasoning. I was told that to receive the coupons, it depended on how many times I visited a Kroger store and items I purchased. I am upset over this because as I have stated, I have shopped Kroger for many years. I would appreciate a reply to this complaint and it is my hope that I too will be sent coupons in the mail. A Kroger customer is a Kroger customer...and I hope that you would agree.
Thank you,
Nona Lathem
You should contact Kroger directly. It might be possible that this other customer was grandfathered in to a program that they are phasing out however.
customer service
Kroger was busy, lines full. 15 or less remained empty so I chose to slide over with my 29 items after I waited to make sure the cashier wasn't going to receive anyone with fewer items and the cashier continued to look at me instead of moving the lines along and cashing customers out and was told I couldn't use the line. I left the line and went back to the full lines. As I was finally paying to leave the cashier received his first customer within that 10-15min frame. Several others could have paid and been out a lot faster than what occurred. Very poor customer service. We are in the store multiple times a week. Will be rethinking that decision the next time.
