Bad customer service
Two things happened at Lowes which made me decide to never go back to this store. The first incident was when I was looking at shades, and saw one on the floor with unraveling fringe. I took it to the woman at the desk and told her, and she said, 'oh, yeah that happens with those, ' and never said another word to me, turned around and said, 'What can I do...

We ordered a custom bathroom vanity at Lowes on Coleman rd, San Jose Ca.
Vanity arrived (late of course) and was 18" depth instead of the standard 21" depth. Several calls with Lowes resulted in the chain refunding the cost of the vanity and ordering the correct vanity for us.
In exchange for the aggravation and the delay in the bathroom (~5 weeks and counting) remodel we would receive a free vanity.
OK - that is a least trying.
BUT WAIT - new vanity arrived. This one was the correct depth, BUT WAS FOR A DOUBLE SINK - NOT THE SINGLE WE OEDERED!
I'm disgusted now - contracter is disgusted - don't know how Lowes can fix this now.

false addvertising
I have been a customer of Lowes for years. They say they have the lowest prices. Today I went to lowes to buy some 4in. pipe for gutter drains. With money in short supply now a days I compared prices before going to the store. I found the pipe cheaper at a Home Depot in Hickory, about 50 miles away.
When you go into a lowes store, (West Jefferson, NC) does it not say on that big sign that they guarantee the lowest prices? After being in the store for almost an hour waiting to get what I needed. (because in wasn't on the shelf) I finally question the checkout about the price. He calls the so called manager. He said that it was only within a 30 mile radius. Well, in this area, theres nothing with in 40 miles to compare to! A few local builder supplies, thats it. The manager was a real dick about it and defended the store.
Its funny that when you try to summit a complaint to lowes on there web site that they have there own set questions, and you can't leave any comment of your own.
I guess the rich mans motto will never change. ### the poor! Sorry but this is just the facts.
Do not shop a lowes! I will never step foot in the store again!
Lowes
smells of urine and hot
We installed Syn Lawn that we bought for our 3 small dogs in late October 2010. from Lowes. We were told by Lowe's that it was a great product if you had dogs. We installed this product in our vacation home. The area we live in we can't grow grass because of water restrictions. This winter we've had lots of rain and snow. We've been here for 2 weeks and our Syn Lawn is too hot for our dogs and reeks of urine. I've tried to wash it off when the dogs use it, but it doesn't help. Note: Our dogs are, 1 - 8lbs, 1 - 2.5lbs and 1 - 5.5lbs. This products is super expensive and we've only had it for a VERY short time. Worried about what the summer will be like when it really hot. Lowes has been trying to contact Synlawn in Van Nuys, CA, but they won't respond.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
how about this one. Our synlawn was installed by synlawn "professional installers". We have had it just over two years and we provided the installers with the reccomended product that the salesman in the Albuquerque office suggested we get. My backyard smells horrible in the summer and my two dogs have difficulty walking on it in the summer. DO NOT use this in hot desert climates.
how about this, my synlawn was installed by a SYNLawn professional install team and i paid $4, 665 for the installation techniques, two months later i have weeds growing through synlawn. i called and Matt Price of synlawn told me by email that clover is blown in and grown from top down so hand pick it or use round up. what weeds are not blown in and germinated from top? when you synlawn and lowes advertise warranty and no maintenance synlawn, did you tell customers weeds like clover can grow through synlawn, when that happens, please hand pick them or use round up? this is ridiculous. the roots are under synlawn, i can't pull the roots out. if i have to use round up, why pay thousands of dollars to install synlawn. this is only after 2 months, imagine what happens after a year when the warranty is out, i will be happy to share pictures with those who are interested in synlawn, i have never seen this with my neighbors who used other artificial lawn. clovers are growing in the middle of lawn, plus all other types of weeds growing along the perimeter which Matt expects but i was never told that before I paid.
We are sorry to learn that you are having odor issues with your SYNLawn. Since your project was not installed by a SYNLawn professional install team but rather installed as a DIY project, it is most likely due to the installation techniques that you are having issues with odor. When SYNLawn does a professional installation, we not only prepare the sub-base to ensure proper drainage, but it is also advised we to use an odor reducer as part of that installation process. Lowe's was absolutely correct in that all of our products are pet friendly and nationwide, about 75% of our customers own dogs and we rarely are presented with odor issues.
What is really comes down other not being able to ensure your sub-base was prepared properly for optimum drainage, is a maintenance issue. When you have dogs, especially more than one, there is regular cleaning that is required. If the urine is left to sit on the turf without regular rinsing, which is what allows the urine to drain, then the uric acids from the dog urine do not accumulate and cause odor issues. As far as your concerns about heat, we very rarely receive complaints from the thousands of customers nationwide that have purchased SYNLawn specifically for their pet area. We recognize that just as other surfaces can get hot in the direct sun, this can too. However, a quick rinse with your garden hose will cool it down quickly and certainly enough for your dogs to enjoy.
master forge grill
Hi,
I have submitted a complaint already over 2 weeks ago for master forge and sumitted to the BBB. Not one person has contacted me from Master Forge which makes me realize they really do not have any concern for their customers and could care less that after less than a year of use the product is faulty. Since I bought this from Lowe's I'm hoping someone will care enough at that company to make ammends.I purchased a gift for my husband last Memorial day, spending 500 dollars at Lowe's for a Master Forge grill. In my last complaint I provided all of the grill specifics so that if Master Forge was concerned they would be able to easily provide replacement parts. However, no one seems to care. I would hope that I get a phone call or in the VERY LEAST an email from these people to find out why I am so frustrated with their products. My family always buys MasterForge grills which is why I was so quick to spend that amount of money for my husband. Unfortunately it fell VERY short of expectations. Multiple parts on the insde have rusted even though it remained covered. We cannot use it without covering the whole inside in foil. Not very fun for BBQ season. I wish I could express how dissapointed I am not just in the product but in the customer service. I called and spoke with people multiple times at MasterForge, first told, no problem they would ship out replacement parts. a month later...when I had no parts I called and they said there was no order for me. They sent me to the agents voicemail who promised this, and she never called back. SHOCKING!
I am horrified and will continue to post this on every consumer website until rectified
piss-poor service and installation
My boyfriend and I went to Lowes in Lumberton, NJ on Friday night, May 6, 2011, to purchase a gas dryer and have it delivered and installed. We found a dryer we liked for a decent price, but the Lumberton store told us they were an electric only story, so they sent us to the Lowes in Maple Shade, which is a gas only store. We drove down there immediately. They didn't have the model we saw at the Lumberton store in stock and said it would be 7-10 days to have it delivered (the Lumberton store had told us 3-5 days.) But we picked out a similar model and arranged to have it installed that weekend, Sunday, May 8th. As we paid, we asked what time the dryer would be delivered. The check-out person told us "in the morning" but couldn't give us an exact window. On Sunday morning I called to ask what time it would be delivered. The phone rang for several minutes before someone finally answered and told us "10 to 2". My boyfriend and I had to be at a mother's day barbecue at 3. We waited and waited, and finally at 2:20 I called them to try to figure out what was going on. Nobody could give us any details. Finally talked to a manager who said we were scheduled for 3-5, and had no idea who had told us 10-2 or why he'd told us we had that window. He also said we were supposed to have received a call the night before to confirm our appointment and tell us the window of time we were scheduled for. We never received that call. I finally left for the barbecue while my boyfriend stayed home to wait for the installers to arrive. He finally texted me at 4:30 to say they had finally arrived. And then called me around 5 to tell me they couldn't find the gas shut-off and that we'd have to hire a contractor to install it, even though we had paid Lowes for installation. The dryer is now sitting in our dining room, totally useless... Our next door neighbor lives in the same style condo as we do and had a gas dryer installed by Sears without any issues. Lowes has offered to come back out and try to investigate to see if they can find the gas shut-off and determine whether or not it's located somewhere they'd be allowed to touch it. I'm nervous for them to do anything with it considering they don't really seem to know what they're doing. Now we have to wait around for them to come back and pick the dryer up so we can return it and get a refund, as well as having to go through the whole ordeal of ordering, delivering and getting a dryer installed from someplace else--probably Sears since they seem to know how to install a gas dryer in a condo. This is such a frustration, I will never buy anything requiring installation from Lowes again.
1.) They never even gave us a delivery window until the morning of the delivery. And then they gave us the wrong window, which we found out later on after that window came and went without a delivery.
2.) We already HAVE a gas dryer hooked up. All they need to do is shut off the gas so they can install our new gas dryer. They couldn't find they gas shut-off, even though it's right there in the laundry room, and then told us even if they do find it, they may not be allowed to touch it.
3.) You're a ###tard [censored] who needs to learn to read, and probably shouldn't comment on anything if you have nothing remotely intelligent to add.
failure to contact
I recently checked my Lowes credit card online account to see when my zero interest promo would expire to discover I had late payments! I called customer service and they immediately told me to call an 877 number. I called that number, which was obviously not in North America, where I received the run around for over 30 minutes. No one could tell me more...

I am submitting this letter as a formal complaint regarding the Lowes Home Improvement Center in Clermont Florida.
I am a Residential Contractor and I shop for a many products for home renovations at Lowes Home Improvement.
This letter is in response to an incident that happened today at the Lowes store in Clermont Florida 34711.
I had come in the store a couple of days ago and a nice gentleman helped me look up bathroom and kitchen sinks. I saw some models that I liked and I wrote down the dimensions to make sure they would fit.
I came into the store today 04/29/11 at 3-3:45 to place an order for two copper sinks. There was a different salesperson in the department named Steve. He had dark hair and spoke with an accent. I asked him for help and he pointed down the isle as if he was headed somewhere and walked away. This took some time and when he came back thru, I again asked for his help with the book that I had been shown before and he just pointed to the books on the desk and told me to look in the Kohler book. I did this and then I asked him for the Store book with prices and he turned away and started talking to someone else. I again waited, this time I again asked him for his help and exactly what I needed and he looked thru some books, mumbled to himself and got up and walked away. I walked over to where he was and again asked for his help and he looked away and completely ignored me. I again looked thru the books trying to help myself and was unable to find the book I had just looked at a couple of days prior. After spending a good 20 minutes or more in the dept I gave up.
I walked over to the customer service desk and asked for assistance, the manager and the customer service number. The customer service lady pointed to the 1-800-44LOWES number and she went to the back offices. She said she told the manager and then she turned and walked away. I stood there and again waited and no one showed. I was thoroughly humiliated. There was a name on the “Manager on Duty Board” and it said that Keith Brown. I wrote down Keith’s number.
I went outside and tried to call the 800 number, but my cell phone does not have the corresponding letters beside the number so I had to go back in and ask for it.
I asked for a customer complaint form which I was not given even though I asked for it several times. A lady came out named Ann Marie and she represented herself as the manager. I asked her why her name was not on the board as manager and she said that Keith Brown opened that day. I let her know that I found this highly irregular and that Mr Keith Brown’s was about to receive a complaint wrongly.
I let her know what happened in the kitchen dept and asked for the corporate address. I had to ask several times since she was reluctant to give it to me. When she came out of the offices with the address written down, another employee named Barbara walked ahead of her in an aggressive manner. Barbara leaned on the counter, looked at me as though she was going to hit me and again in a snide manner asked me what I wanted. I let her know that I needed the corporate address. She then sarcastically repeated “how can I help you!, and then repeated again “how can I help you!.
When Ann Marie gave me the corporate address for complaints (1000 Lowe’s Blvd. Mooresville, NC) I thanked her and turned to leave when Barbara intercepted me behind the cash register and said in a very sarcastic condescending manner “you have a wonderful day!” I said “please” she then repeated several times to my face, and as she walked away “you just have a wonderful day!” I then let another employee that was there know that this was condescending and I did not appreciate it.
I called the corporate number and spoke with Laura who gave me the appropriate corporate address for complaints which is the 1605 Curtis Bridge Rd address.
She told me that she was going to let the store manager know. I let Laura know that I wanted to speak to someone else since I perceived this as ultimately a Management problem. Laura is very nice and let me know that I had to start with the manager of the store. I do not believe that this will bring the problem to resolution since the poor service and malice is ubiquitous.
I have had both good and bad experiences at this store location over the years. This one was one of the worst.
Thank you for your time and consideration with this matter. I look forward to hearing from someone on the corporate level regarding this issue.

poor service, unfair (illegal?) installation pricing, etc.
I wanted to buy and have installed sheet vinyl from this store. I was required to pay $50.00 in advance to make an appointment with on of Lowes contract installers. I was told he would call to make the appointment the next day, or two days at the latest. He called three and one half days later. When he was at my home, I asked him to make the bid for the two bathrooms separately, so I could decide if I could afford both rooms. He indicated that he could do that. While he was looking at the baseboard molding in the large bathroom, he pulled a piece off the wall without scoring it first and pulled two large chunks of my newly textured drywall!
He said the store would call the next day with a quote. Three days later I called the store and the quote wasn't done yet. Three days later I went to the store and asked an employee to piece together a quote so that I could order. The installer had failed to figure the two rooms separately as I had asked. I waited two days and called back to see if the installer had finally finished the quote. He turned in another quote, still for both rooms together, but a different price!
On top of incredibly bad service and the installer damaging my wall, I was informed that installers charge by the sq. ft. and if you have to order a large piece of flooring, but a small portion of it is used, you will be charged for installation of the sq. footage of the whole 12 ft. - not the sq. footage that is actually installed! I intend to follow up on the legality of charging for services not performed.
I deeply regret ever entering Lowes. This has been an unbelievably frustrating experience and I am still living with dusty plywood floors and two large chunks of texture missing from the new drywall.
I intend to ask Lowes for a refund and for the cost of repairing the wall their installer damaged and never to buy anything from Lowes again.
I have been going to Lowes for a number of things over the years. I own my own business so what I do matters to those who contract me. If I can’t get the job done by the time I promised, I lose money. Lowes doesn’t seem to care about that.
I had placed an order for lumber and tile for a client of mine. After I paid I made sure that if I came back tomorrow it would be ready to go. They assured me of this and I left excited that I would have all things completed ahead of schedule.
I go back the next day and guess what, the order isn’t ready. Now its not like I showed up the minute the store opened. I gave them plenty of hours to get things together and even deal with the walk in customers. This isn’t the first time this has happened! I’m sick of waiting for them to do their job. If I worked like they do I wouldn’t be making any money.
So as of today I will no longer giving Lowes Home Improvement Store any of my business! I have lost clients and jobs because of this. I feel they should feel the same! I guess I will take more time out of my day to go somewhere I can trust their word!
My husband and I purchased our new home 3yrs ago and I was happy to see a Lowes Home Improvement store being built within a few miles from our home. I shortly became a frequent shopper of the store and felt they had a good reputation as well as knowledgeable staff. We began the process of shopping for a new entry door. Early April 07, my feelings change and now have become a complete debacle of utter frustration.
After many days of trying to select a door, calls I made to the mill work department were not followed up or returned in a timely manner. The sales associate even called with the wrong information. In addition, the contracted installer failed to show up for a scheduled appointment. I contacted the sales manager regarding my concerns and wanting to cancel the deal but he reassured he would make things better. After manufacturer changes with the delivery date, we finally received our door. I had great hopes that things were ok but NO. The installer came to install the door and finds it was NOT measured correctly; my poor husband took off work for nothing. The sales manager was contacted again, the door was taken back to the manufacturer for correction and we're told it will take about 2 weeks, that was around July 16. I called the sale manager yesterday and the manufacturer has entered a tentative delivery of early September. We spent $3, 314.87 at Lowes and it has been 4months. I have no door yet and according to their contract, we can get a refund. According to their website they are America's most admired specialty retailer. Another lie they print "we keep in contact, ensuring your job is done at your convince and on time." I will never do business with Lowes again!
salesman did not follow thru everything wrong with installation
I have saved for years for my “dream kitchen”. Keep in mind my dream kitchen is very small, eleven cabinets and two countertops, how could anything go wrong? I do not have a lot of money but I wanted what I wanted. I chose Lowes after meeting Samual Naranjo a salesman in the kitchen department of the Lowes in Medford. Sam assured me Lowes could deliver and...

I had a Lowes credit card account that we kept paid up. I missed one payment due to finacial issues my interest rate jumped to 26.99% I was paying $100 monthly but couldn't get it paid off the amount on the card just kept rising. We always made all of our payments in the store but no matter how much we paid on it the amount never went down. I have been to Lowes using my debit card and Lowes report it fraudulantly used and my bank canceled my card leaving me unable to access my account. They did this to me 5 times. They stopped sending me bills and the calls started all hours of the night. An automated call I talk to someone and ask them to send me a bill and they refuse. I asked for a detailed bill they refuse. I offered to pay $100 a monthy where do I mail it they refuse. They want everything over the phone. I do not trust them and am not making any payment over the phone. They now had sherriffs serve me papers and they are placing a lein on my house and garnishing my paychecks. I have tried to set up payment arrangements they refuse to take anything less than $200 a month. I had a max on my card of $1000 I now owe $1675.03 with a minimum payment of $376. I have been yelled at and now my home is being threatened. I try to talk to these people and they keep telling me to calm down and I am not even yelling. And I am now finding out this is a normal thing with them. I am willing to pay what I owe but no matter what I have done the balance keeps rising.

Shawn DOES know that the customer missed a payment... but I guess that doesn't count for anything.
Shawn, what the hell do you know about it? Stop lecturing, you people. One of these days it's going to be YOUR assets they're after.
If you miss a payment and/or are late then you are at risk for interest that never ends.
no military discount...
.. what's with those disgruntled customers who are complaining about no military discount? You didn't earn it, it was simply a chain wide perk that they've deemed not fair to those who hadn't served. Rather, they have extended lower prices to ALL of their customers. While Lowe's and Home Depot do offer 10% off to all veterans, I, as a military retiree, will travel the 80 miles to the nearest Menards rather than shop locally at the other two builder's stores here in NE Ohio for Menard's better prices w/o a discount. Just a note, no merchant "owes" anyone anything, especially a vet. I didn't serve to get a discount. I earned my commissary and exchange privileges. If someone sees fit to give me a discount, I'll be greatful but it isn't a condition that I expect! But... I guess some are more mercenary than others.
poor customer service
I purchased the Troy Built power washer in March of 2010 and used it a few times. This past month when I took it back out of the garage to use it there was no water coming out when I hooked it up to the hose. I didn’t think it would be an issue because I had both a manufacturer’s warranty and bought an extended warranty. After navigating the Lowe’s extended warranty phone system I was sent to a small shop for repair called Value Equipment and there the run around began. Like insurance companies everyone’s job is to say things are not covered and that I should pay more to have a brand new product repaired. Both Value Equipment and Lowe’s changed their stories about who should be doing what and what was covered twice to deny the claim.
Stay away from this pressure washer as it is not built well at all and don’t let them fool you into purchasing the Lowe’s warranty!

remotes not working
I had remodel a one bed room condo and installed two Harbor
Breeze Fans. One the living room which was a remote control for the light and fan speeds.
A little saling tool for the renter having this feature. Which fail
after 5 months. Installed a reguarl Fan in the bed room. after 4 month of usage it started making bearing noises.
I was unlucky because the warrenty ran out right after they was installed.
Why is Harbor Breeze having some many problem? At one time they were the fan of choice
Houston, TX Gary
be ure and go to[redacted].com so others will know before they buy ine!
Bought two fans, two years ago. One remote still works, the other remote does not work. Harbor Breeze obviously has a problem. Any ideas on how I can replace the remote? Thanks.
I ended up removing the light bulbs. These fans are the worse I ever had! Last time Imbuy Harbor Crap!
My remotes went out too
Has anyone found a solution? There are SO many posts about this problem but i haven't yet come across a solution, which SHOULD come from the company. Thanks
Don't buy harbor breeze. They remotes are awful
So glad to read this information! I have had my harbor breeze fan in my bedroom for only 2 years and the remote no longer works effectively. all controls still work expect to turn the fan off. best i can do is set it in low for the winter months which it is not needed... too bad because i often recommended this great buy to others. disappointing to think i have to buy another unit. next time... my fan will com with a remote and a pull chain for these instances. too bad, was just looking to install fans in 3 other rooms, won't go with harbor breeze. thanks - smart buyer from western new york
My harbor breeze ceiling fan stop working too, with the same problem! The remote control. The control is as expensive as the fan. They should replace the remote for free.
Fort Walton Beach, Florida
We have the same problem with our ceiling fan where did you buy the replacement remote?
flooring
I am so disappointed with the Lowes in Martinsburg, WV. I tried calling flooring and it rang about 6 or 7 times with no answer. I finally was transferred to the Operator who kept transferring me back to flooring (I was transferred 4 times). I finally got to talk to an assistant (Marsha) to tell her how upset I was regarding my order on carpet. I was talking nice, I did not yell, but she hung up on me. I ordered carpet, not only did it take a long time to get there, when it was brought to my house, they sent the wrong color. But I was so upset because it took so long, I just said LAY IT. I will never buy anything from that store again, and will tell all my family and friends! Home Depot is looking better and better.

lied to about sale on garage doors
My husband went to lowes in robinson township pennsylvania every week for the past month to see if there was any sale on garage doors. Last week he was told by a lowes employee that there was no sale at the time and none upcoming that he knew of. My husband even left his phone number with the employee asking that he call him if there was a sale. Today 4/9/111 he went to the lowes in scott township pa to buy other supplies and stopped to check on the garage doors again. The lowes employee from the scott township store told him that there was a free upgrade on garage doors that expired last monday. Afetr 5 trips to two different stores he finds that the employee from the robinson township store told him that there was no sale on garage doors while this free upgrade was indeed in effect. I can not explain to you how frustrated he is with lowes right now. The employee at the lowes in scott township store was unable to explain why the robinson store employee did not tell him about the free upgrade that was in effect as all lowes stores were running that free upgrade during that time. He is not planning to shop at lowes anymore. If your employees are misinformed about a promotion or sale that is running in your store do you really think that the customer should pay for it? He has shopped at lowes probably more than anyone else I know and spends more money at lowes than the average customer due to his business. Youre losing a loyal customer to home depot.

I purchased a fence through Lowe's & having a contractor install it. When fence was delivered there was mold growing on it & a lot of broken pieces too. Also was told they would replace it that day or following day then was notified won't be till later in the week & they also changed the date that was going to be installed & I never was notified. I feel that the customer service was very poor & the amount of $$ I am putting out for this fence.. it should be in really good condition esp. at almost 5, 000 dollars. See attached Pictures.

lowes extended warranty
Worst purchase I have ever made. Whirlpool Cabrio washer machine is worthless. This machine fails to operate: always out of balance, adds grease marks to clean clothes, takes an hour to wash whites, and the list goes on. It has been several weeks now that the washer stopped working and Lowes is still waiting to complete repair. Lowes extended warranty is a joke. Integrity Appliance Company wrote on the service slip that it would be better to replace unit than repair it... What did Lowes decide to do: Make us wait for ALL the repair parts to show up before letting Integrity Appliance Company schedule an appointment to replace many defective parts. Last time it took Integrity Appliance Company almost two weeks to schedule an appointment to replace a defective part after they obtained replacement part. They are a very busy company and we (consumer) need to wait in line... 10 days to get an appointment. I wish I had their business where customers have to beg to get decent service.
Bottom line: As far as I am concerned, Whirlpool Cabrio is the worst washer machine ever built and Lowes extended warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.
Follow-up:
Integrity Appliance Company came out today and fixed washer machine – Wrong, my pantry, kitchen, and dining room are flooded: FIRST LOAD. Fortunately when I called Integrity Appliance Company they where closed (4:00 PM). At least Lowes Service Advantage answered the phone (I was only on hold for 9 minutes). Lowes customer recommended I wait until Integrity Appliance Company could come back and see if they would clean up the mess upon their return service call. Lowes could not confirm when Integrity Appliance Company could come back. Funny, Lowes was able to schedule repair date and time the first time I called. So, I should wait until the water damage is tenfold before doing anything. I would love to see Judge Judy response when I say in open court that I let the water permeate cabinetry and hardwood floors because I wanted to wait for incompetent appliance repair company personnel to clean up the mess due to their poor workmanship.
A supervisor for Lowes customer service stated several times that she could not provide another company to do the repair work because Integrity Appliance Company has to warranty their work for 30 days. She could not tell me when someone from Lowes would call to confirm when a service call could be scheduled: Even after I pressed for some type of response; tomorrow morning, within 24 hours, within 48 hours – Nothing.
Recap: Washer is still broken and now my floors are drenched… And, I have no idea when someone is going to fix the issues. I originally stated that Lowes Service Advantage was not worth the paper it is written on – I stand correct, the paper is good for soaking up your money and water from faulty repair work.
BTW - I have pictures

I believe lowes' stores are withholding rebates to save costs
I believe Lowes' stores are withholding rebates to save costs. I purchased Owens-Corning insulation at Lowes, Bradley, Illinois store and still have not received my $150 qualifying rebate check.
The rebate advertisement was posted across the insulation section, two salesmen helped me and pointed it out. One of them gave me the rebate forms along with my receipt, The insulation was delivered.
Two weeks ago I called the local Lowes and was given an "outside" rebate center fund for the store. At the rebate center, a Miguel, told me to fax my receipt to a fax number that was "not in service"! I called Lowes regional corporate office and they told me someone would call in the next two days; they never did.
I sent the same letter of complaint to the Lowes corporate office, the local store, the rebate processing center and have received no response. It is now two months later.
I am going to pursue this money owed me with no limits imagined. I am leary of Lowes and will not shop there again. There are plenty of competitive stores carrying similar products in the area and I will make a point of telling their management why I am shopping in there stores -- what Lowe's did.
In each and every conversation with anybody, I will impart the doubt in each person's mind in a way to be drawn from memory banks to not shop at Lowes and will continue to post online my complaint against Lowes and its practice of skimming.
Lowes has a history of not honoring rebates. If this happened to you call my cell at [protected] or email me at jsantoli@santolilaw.com with your tel no and details. We are bringing claims for customers. Jos. Santoli, Esq.
Rebates are not done through Lowe's. They are done by the manufacturer which in this case would be Owens-Corning. So your complaint is with Owens-Corning not Lowe's because Lowe's has absolutely no way to get the rebate and with hold it from you.
appliance extended warranty
You go to Lowes to purchase a brand name washer and dryer and spend $1300.00. You then purchase the extedned warranty for $140.00 for both. You then find out that the washer vibrates badely when in the spin cyclce even after Lowes come out for a second time and carefully balanace the washer. The worker says if it continues to do this just contact Lowes and they will bring out a new washer. Not so. After 30 days the warranty rolls over to maker of the washer. If they come out and nothing is wrong it will cost us $80.00 for the visit. So you need to make sure it is broken before calling the repair guys and if they say its not broken you have to pay out of your pocket. Take my advice, purchase appliances through Sears all is covered and you never have these issues.
