Hi, firstly I did complaint to Proctor & Gamble who is the original importers to no avail, secondly I submitted a review on the product on take a lot to warn consumers but take a lot did not post the review. I bought 2 x Braun series 7 shavers from take a lot, paid R1700 on special per unit. I then bought two cutter cartidges at R400 each from another party(should be replaced ever 12 - 14 months). Now P&G dont import the maintenance parts for the shavers anymore and take a lot sells the cartidge at R1900? Shortage of supply amd take a lot and their supplier dont mind on bit to exploit the situation on bit. Why sell a product that needs maintenance parts if you are not sure if you will be able to supply the maintenamce part and if you can stock it then charge an INSANE price. You buy a manual razor knowing that the cartridges will cost you a heavy penny but you buy an electric shaver as an investment, FYI the cartidges that does not have a supply issue is R350 - R 450 on take a lot... that says a lot, very poor practice from take a lot, P&G and Braun in total a brand name with very very dissapointing after sales service from all parties involved
no stock then no refund
I placed an order to buy an jt tactical paintball kit. First the delivery date was 19 oct then 23 oct. When i phoned on the 23rd of oct to confirm if it will be delivered i was told that there is no stock and that the order has been cancelled. Aparently the supplier did not have stock. I have been waiting since the 23rd of oct for the refund inorder for me to get my money back. Since this morning i have been speacking to 5 diferent people at the contact centre. Not one of the gave me the same information on when the refund will reflect in my account. I checked no on the takealot site and all of a sudden there is stock! So no i am still waiting for the refund although there is stock in cape town.

Good day. My original parcel was to be delivered to my work address on Friday 20th but this never happened. I followed up on Monday 23rd and was advised that my parcel is with Skynet who will deliver on Tuesday or latest Wednesday 25.10.2017. It is now Thursday with still no delivery. A short while ago I received a sms to advise that my expected delivery date is Friday 27 October. My order number is [protected]
I still do not know if I will ever get my order, as everything is so vague to me as a customer. I cannot see where (Location) my order is, nor with which Courier Service as per the attached image.
I do not expect any feedback whatsoever but would just like to voice my disappointment and frustration at the service received thus far. This is definitely not a convenient experience for me. It was my first Takealot experience and not a very pleasant one

Tried calling call center at 08h50 for delivery of fnb card (option 2) but automated msg kept saying that hours of operation are between 8-5 and dropping the call. after 4 attempts i call the same number and chose opption 1 to advise them of the issue and get further help. I spoke to Luke and he just didnt care what my issues were and kept telling me to press the right option even though i told him the problems i encountered. eventually he just dropped the phone on me. Ive since asked FNB to cancel that card and will also never buy from takealot again.
misrepresentation
In the pamphlet received with Sandton chronicle, takealot advertised (23 Oct - 12 Nov) the Mellerware air fryer for R849, and when you go online to order it, it is R999.
This is the second time this happens, previously wine was advertised for R89/bottle, and when I ordered, it was R106/bottle.
You can only order online, so they advertise in the local papers for cheaper, and when you get online, it is not the same price.

How is this possible.

I orderd the art box ons 17 October and the delivery date was 24 October. I tracked the parcel and everytime it said it will be delivered 24 October. I haven't received it nor did I hear from the courier company to tell me it is going to be late or any other arrangements made. I want to know how am I going to get the parcel I paid for ot my money back.

I ordered a ring in August. I followed the sizing instructions prescribed by Takealot, however, the ring was too big. Unfortunately I purchased the ring early than the date I was going to give the ring as a gift and only determined the incorrect size 33 days after delivery. Takealot declined the exchange since I exceeded the exchange policy by 3 days. I am a regular customer and this time I felt that the online shopping experience did not work for me. Had I made these purchases from a retail store, I may have been given a concession, due to my long standing relationship.
I am really disappointed and I am reconsidering any future purchases from Takealot.
fake products sold to customers
I recently ordered an original OKAPI knife from Takealot.com as described in the description of the knife. I then received an OK-KAPE knife with a cheap plastic handle and a damaged blade. The fake knife came in an original OKAPI box.I am really disappointed and feel robbed by Takealot . My wife and i often purchase items from Takealot and are wondering what else we bought is also fake.

Order [protected] was placed on 17 October 2017 for 2 items: a thermometer and a Suzelle DIY book.
On 18 October a delivery was received of A4 college exercise books which is not what was ordered. A return was then arranged with your call centre as the Takealot app was giving me an error message.
A collect and deliver was then arranged for 20 October. The courier then arrived with only 1 item of the original order - the thermometer and he collected the incorrect item of the A4 college exercise books. He assured me that the other item Suzelle DIY book would be delivered asap. Another courier arrived later that day with the correct outstanding item Suzelle DIY book but would not give it to me as he wanted the return item A4 college exercise books which I had already returned to the other courier earlier that day.
So now I'm still waiting for the correct item Suzelle DIY book?
I find this totally unacceptable that the courier got aggressive when I couldn't give him the return item that was returned earlier that day.
So please sort your [censor] out and communicate better with your couriers about what they need to deliver.
And please get the correct item Suzelle DIY book delivered asap without expecting a return as this was already done!

Good day Monday the 09th October product (Anton Fabi Men's Campin Lace Up Shoe - Black & Beige) was received by myself. It was open at home with my husband (monday), however the packaging was damage and the shoe had a faded blue on the shoe. I then requested to return the product the next day. The shoe has been in my office (taped up under my desk) for the courier to collect it. It was collect Wednesday the 11 October. Only to receive the following reply. (Please see below). I would like to know where has my husband had the time to wear this shoe and damage it. I want a senior specialist to respond to me as soon as possible. I will not end here. Takealot ignoring customers and blocking them from posting on their Facebook page...guess the company can't handle the truth! The owner of the company doesn't have any time for customers! Telling customers they not special enough to have someone deliver their package in the promised amount of time! Ridiculous! Half the time their products are broken and returning them is a vicious process of lies and deceit!

I did an online purchase for two cameras on the 20th September 2017. The promised delivery date was postponed three times and two week later the parcel was missing.
We agreed that they will redo the order as I needed the cameras for a project. The second order was made out internally and for one one camera. I paid for two cameras. This order was made out on the 2nd October 2017. Again three promised delivery dates and no parcel yet. I now get no response from them and no more emails trying to explain away the incompetence.

I ordered a pressure cooker and a rug to the amount of R1, 898 via my mobicred account on Saturday the 30th of September. There was an error with the OTP that mobicred sends to approve the purchase, so a second OTP was sent and I entered that. Takealot then debited my mobicred account twice with the amoount of R1, 898. I called mobicred and they said to take it up with takealot. It has been more than a week and Takealot still hasn’t returned the amount that was erroneously debited back to my mobicred account. I have been sent from pillar to post, I have called everyday and I get told the same story “finance is still dealing with it”, this is unacceptable. I have only ordered and received one pressure cooker and One rug, why has the other R1, 898 not been credited back to my account as yet?

I ordered the above mentioned book as a gift for someone, and I was happy with the delivery time. However, when I received the book, I noticed something was off. Every time that I have ordered something from Takealot, it has arrived in bubble wrap, but this time, it arrived in a zip lock bag with a bent corner, leading me to believe that it has already been returned by someone else. When I opened the book to page through it, I noticed that there had been a massive printing error of some sort, as the diagrams were all cut off the bottom of the page and the text was clearly in the wrong place. I am quite shocked that Takealot could sell such a faulty product and now my gift is going to be late.

I purchased 3 screens at R1899.00 each. On the purchase confirmation screen the price added up to R5697.00 and I approved the purchase. When I received my payment notification it showed that they had billed me for R6597 in stead. I immediately contacted Takeallot to dispute this and was told by the consultant that it was not a problem and that the order will be cancelled and I will be refunded.
A few minutes later he then sent me an email stating that the order can not be cancelled and they are unable to help me.
takealot jhb hub does not check the postal code for delivery!!!
I have placed my order and once again have a issue with the delivery of my order to the incorrect place.
My postal code clearly states 7353 cape town however the order was shipped off to durban as my place of residence is chatsworth.
I do not understand how the hub can make this mistake as I order frequently and if they use fedex courier my order gets delivered to my correct address but if they use mr delivery then it gets misdirected!
Get your story straight when you delivering as people needs the items delivered on time as chosen on delivery confirmation.
