progressive kitchenware - microwave fish and vegetable steamer - transparent
I bought this Microwave Fish and Vegetable Steamer from Takealot the other day and after my 3rd use, it completely melted and deformed the lid. (attached is a picture)
I've tried to rate the product on Takealot but my bad rating was never published. I tried rating it again but then received an error stating that I've already rated the product and cannot rate it again.
I also tried contacting Takealot directly but cannot seem to find any email or contact information for them to do so.
I am honestly very disappointed. I've bought products from Takealot before and I was very satisfied in the past. I expected more from this product.

I ordered an IPhone 6s cover to protect my phone on Takealot`s website. The item was delivered on time, but the wrong item was delivered. When I contacted Takealot, the service advisor then advised me that the item that Takealot supplied me incorrectly will not be refunded or could not be returned. I then spoke to a manger from takealot, and he told me the same. I am disappointed in the service I have received from Takealot, and would not recommend them to anyone. Public, please be aware of how takealot does business. Takealot, you have just lost me as a customer.
late delivery
I ordered some items last week and was informed that the delivery would be affected on Friday - I received a sms to state the the parcel was on it's way and then 30 minutes later that nobody was available to receive the parcel, while my wife was at home and nobody rang the bell. The delivery was then rescheduled for today Monday and I get exactly the same message that 'nobody was available to receive it" when my wife and I have been at home the whole time. At least the last delivery that I received the courier had the curtesy to call and inform me when they were to deliver. I'm afraid the service from Takelot has declined significantly since teaming up with Mr. Delivery. I have no doubt that that the delivery person has never even been to my house and just does not effect delivery for their own reasons.
Their delivery people are looking to save money by combining deliveries in an area I think...also have had this problem and its making me think twice about using TakeAlot or is it WaitaLot! Like for example there is a courier company here in Durban that is mostly operated by Muslim folk. You know its mosque day on a Friday so 9 out of 10 times you won't get your delivery on a Friday! Its things like this. The courier company fails to understand that its business not a home made mickey mouse thing and I think Takealot or WaitaLot has linked up with Mickey Mouse!

I've liaised with Lenovo in Roodepoort to whom i provided proof of purchase from Takealot. Lenovo is willing to assist with their device which Takealot has not, they have washed their hands.
They have not yet returned my PC.
The only response I ever receive when speaking to anyone at Takealot I will escalate, I don't know, I don't deal with that I can't put you through to who does they don't take calls, we'll send you and email, we'll call you back...my experience has been no call back no email regarding my query...It appears that your staff m.o. is ignore it and it will go away...Takealot does not advertise that this IS how you treat your customers or at least me...

Hi, I purchased the Jeronimo Zoombourgini - Pink R 1, 399, on making payment I found that i was charged R 1749. This is unacceptable. Im requesting a refund on the R349 as i bought the item because it was R1399 not R1749, which is a R349. The item should have been advertised as R1749. Takealot wasn't prepared at all for black friday. I have been awake since 12 am on black Friday trying to purchase some stuff. At 12:30 this AFTERNOON I eventually got access to the website just to be kicked of while I was busy paying my order . I will never waste another second or cent on takealot. Shouldn't be promoting black Friday then deny your customers access for over 12 hours! Useless. That's what black Friday meant for me. Thanks a lot

I purchased a Sony playstation VR bundle two days ago for R5999.99, and now suddenly the same product is R4999.99. The black friday deals for these products have been on since 19 November so why the sudden price drop only now.
I would like that I be charged the R4999.99 and not the R5999.99 as these prices should have been reflected earlier?
terrible service
I ordered a product 3 days ago from takealot.com. Today I get an email that the product is out of stock with the supplier (reef aquatics) and it will take six days for me to get my money back.
I then call reef aquatics who surprisingly has stock and ship for next day delivery.
The folks at takealot are just lying. I received an "apology" email from them not apologising for lying to me or some admin error, but rather to say that they are sorry that I "feel the way I do".
I also call there customer care number and explain. The operator cant do anything but refer me to a supervisor (who is busy at the moment) but will call me back in less than 20min. Its been way past that and still no call. Hence this post.
Stay away. They will take your money, not deliver and you will have to wait a week for you to get your money back.

returns and poor quality
I have placed an order at Takealot a week and a half back received the items on Friday - items were not as described and very misleading.
I logged a return on Monday.
These items were suppose to be picked up on Tuesday as I have received an sms from Skynet... but uptil Today I am waiting.
They will delay the pick and delay the credit to me.
I have spoken to a lady by the name of Qaqamba Momoza who assured me that the pick up will be Today... but that was just a lie.
Takealot is too good for misleading customers and expect us to wait for them to fetch the defect items from us when it suites them.
They are pathetic.

I just did an update on my app. Did an order and wanted to make payment using ebucks and a credit card. Before the update of the app we could have the option to pay with more than one option now we can't.
Now whats the use of having the app if I can't do that. I don't always have access to a computer so I rely on my phone 90% of the time.
I hope your IT team will sort this out. I'm utterly disappointed in this. Its taken me 30-40 min longer now to order from you!
I'm currently rating you a 4 if anyone had to ask as this is really stupid!

Please correct your site and delivery estimates.
I go through the pain of ordering for 90 kids - Christmas part 25 Nov.
The worst I choose is 5-7 working days.
Go to pay, and it says 21 November. Perfect! Pay the money and get a shipping notification of 28 November... how does it change in 60 seconds.
Call customer care. Sit with her, and painstakingly take off the items not in stock. Then ask for a new delivery update on items all IN STOCK on website. Guess what - still 28 November.

I have purchased numerous items from takealot
My first ever exchange and this is what response i get:
I sent an electrical under warranty kettle that had its lid melt in to be repaired, Takealot sent their courier service to fetch the kettle
I received an email stating that it is with them and will be assessed
Today i receive a response that they broke the kettle entirely and i will be receiving the shattered kettle in return
What the heck will i do with a shattered kettle?
Whoever broke t should be liable?
Takealot chose that negligent incompetent comapny to be their courier not me
I have escalated this matter as best as i can, i have complained on hello peter, the national consumer commission and ineveitably i will take it up with an attorney with cost against takealot
I will never ever shop on takelaot ever again

Received an email on 7/11/2017 that my order is ready for collection at Cape Town, Montague.
Made my way today 9/11/2017 for collection. I spent 45mins in the waiting area only to hear that my order isn't ready and will get another confirmation once it's ready.
I'm very disappointed with the lack of service I've received, not sure if I'll order with you again after the appalling service I've received.
Could it not be picked up on your system that the order isn't ready, than to make me wait 45 minutes?

I ordered a backlight keyboard (Order no. [protected]) on 2 November 2017. The promised delivery date was 7 November 2017. I received no communication on Tuesday 7 November and went to check on the website which then stated that delivery would be on 9 November 2017. Still no communication received from Takealot at all. I went onto the website again today and note that the delivery date is now 13 November 2017. I am going on leave from 13 - 24 November and that it the reason I ordered this keyboard long before going on leave and it is my husband's birthday present. I find this EXTREMELY unprofessional that Takealot could not even have the decency to contact me and advise that the delivery date has changed. I am very disappointed and will NEVER order from Takealot again.

navi battery life

Ive brought a gps navigation from you guys but ive got a problem with it .
It got delivered on saturday which was great but since then the battery dont last even for 30min
It can be fully charged at night but as soon as im driving the battery drains within 30min flat
Ive got to keep it charged in the car to get directions as im a rep and i travel alot .
The device was on special i think for r999 which i see you guys are stil running .

Firstly I had an order that arrived one week late, after the date I was given. Had I not enquired I think no one would have noticed.
This morning I had a delivery and as I work from home, I sometimes go out to courier but am not gone for very long. Previously I would be phoned and would come straight back which would take maybe 5 min. Now no one bothers.
I have been a customer since Kalahari days and I can only say that service is on a downward spiral.

Delivery was expected by 03 Nov 2017 but no delivery showed up, called and was ensured that delivery will be made by 03 Nov 2017. No delivery by then, weekend passed still no delivery. on monday got a sms saying returned logged but no return was logged by me, i still was expecting delivery, tracked my order online and to my surprise it said order delivered, called multiple times and each time i was guaranteed delivery, and as expected no delivery by the end of the day.
shocking service and a terrible new system
I ordered a DVD. I have ordered so much, but never before have I had such shocking service. Some clown insisted that info was entered on a tablet. All well and good, but my name kept going to the bottom of the screen despite more than fifteen people signing in afterwards.
So the upshot is...I walked out . You need to RETURN the money. DO Not credit my account. Option two, deliver the item to me at a suitable time.
I have bought a lot on Takealot, but WILL NEVER BUY FROM YOU AGAIN.
