branch manager
This complaint's about the Tim Horton's manager, Ms. Malini, who is currently working at the branch stated in the details. My friend and I had visited Tim Horton through the drive thru, the morning of Sept 22, 2012. We had placed an order from her, but the way she took our order seemed like she didn't want us there. We are a regular customer of this location, and we noticed that her attitude and her behaviour with us and other customers weren't very polite. We also noticed that she shows no respect to her employees, as for we see her yelling at them every time we are there. We are completely sure that the other customers there have also noticed this. When we had decided to ask her the reason for her rude behavior, she replied "If you don't want to order from me, go to another location and this is my nature!". She also swore at us with words we cannot use here. Please be advised when ordering from her at this location of Tim Horton. Also, beware of her attitude towards her customers and her employees and take action towards her.

coffee
The coffee they are using is a poor knock-off of tim horton's coffee. I took one sip this morning and dumped the rest in the street. I normally get my coffee at the best tim's around in stouffville, but the long line-up and me being low on gas and late for an appt sent me in the direction of the other tim's that i will not visit henceforth. Please look into this matter, as i feel that the tim's name will be scared at this location. People are nice, but...

My husband, son and I stopped at this same Richmond Hill Tim Horton's on the way to work on a Monday morning. By late Monday night all three of us were ill, stomach aching, throwing up, etc. We thought we'd come down with a stomach flu, which lasted until the weekend. The following Monday, we went to the same Tim Horton's, and by late evening all three of us were ill again, with the exact same symptons. Not sure if this was a coincidence or not, didn't feel like it, but to be on the safe side, we've never gone back.
I cannot understand half of what the order taker is saying at some Tim Horton shops. Some are owned by immigrants and they hire their own without checking to see if they have people skills, which most don't ! I have been going to my local Country Style shop, where the coffee is better and the sweets are bigger. I wont go back to Tims until I csee CANADIAN employees who I can understand and even smile sometimes. I hope Crispy Cream makes a come back, because T.Hortons is starting to suck !
Hey hoser..how's things in Richmond Hill? There are shipments of coffee all over da place that have sawdust in 'em to substutute for coffee which has gotten expensive when ya purchase it wth those deflated now nearly worthlessNorth American dollars. It's kinda like gas, eh? $4.00 per gallon - heck probably way more for that imperial gallon.
Sorry to see Tim's is in on the scammin. Tough all over though, eh?
Button up your overcoat - there's a real honest-to-goodness winter coming up. Squirrels' tails around here are as big around as Roseanne Barr's thigh's...no kiddin.'
9:30am in the morning do not have muffins ready for consumer
Tim Hortons: two locations in buffalo, Key Fountain Plaza and william and Bailey location 2 dfferent times at 9:30am in the morning do not have muffins ready for consumer.
I just wanted Tim Hortons to know that they are dropping the ball on their product for the consumers. Both locations are VERY busy at that time of morning and the case is nearly empty. They need to do much better planning or our branch will start going to dunki donuts across the street as well as many other people I am sure. It is frustrating.
poor sandwich quality
I just purchased an egg salad sandwich from a local Tim Horton's store. I brought the sandwich home and and found that if you looked real hard you might find some egg salad in the sandwich. Called the store to complain and was told they were sorry. I think that Horton's should have either requested that we bring the sandwich back for a refund or at least offered to remake the sandwich. I for one am disappointed with Horton's and as a result will not be revisiting Horton's in the future.
An unhappy past customer!

Did a man make that sandwich? That would explain why it sucks. :) They can't make anything worth a damn.
price increases
I have been going to Tim Horton's in Alliston for about 10 years and have gone through some price increases along the way, but the latest increase has resulted in my husband and I not using the services at Tim Hortons at all any more. My normal order every morning was 2 Extra large decaf tea and a muffin. Most of the girls know me when they hear me ordering at the drive. The total for this order has been $5.40 since the new size came into being. On July 30th, I went to the drive through and made my order as usual and was told the price would be $5.60. I told the girl there must be a mistake, the order should total $5.40, she said no it was correct. I repeated the thought that the price was in error at the window, where I was told the increase was on the muffin only. 20 CENT INCREASE ON JUST ONE ITEM! That was the final straw for me. While I used to be at TIM's at least 6 days a week. I am no longer sitting their drive through every morning. I am now going across the street to McDonalds where it costs a fraction of what Tim Hortons is charging with much faster service. I am also telling all of my firends in the area about the increases and the fact that they were not advertised. Many people were not aware, but I am making as many as I can aware. Maybe you will overprice yourself right out of business!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Be prepared for more food price increases.
All commodities are priced in US dollars. As the dollar is further devalued, it will result in higher commodity and asset prices across the board.
order mix up
Ok, it might look like it is not possible but this is the truth.
I get breakfast from the pitt meadows location for about 4-5 years now, I would say that 7-8 times out of 10 I don't get what I want and that because they don't have either plain bagels or hashbrowns, or they add cheese or tomatoes on my sandwich, I know some people like it, I don't.
So allways I go "no cheese or tomatoes please", guess what? I get either or
I sent tim hortons an e - mail, they called back, I explained the situation, but it happened again... Numerous times. It might sound harsh but I believe that people at tim hortons are hired based on the lowest iq, sorry, I cannot explain otherwise...
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
! don't know why you would ask for no tomatoes on a breakfast sandwhich anyway, since it doesn't COME with tomatoes in the first place, if you say it they probably think you are asking for it, same with people who say "no sugar" in their coffee, we won't put it in if you don't ask for it>( It comes black unless otherwise specified.
I work at Tim Horton's. I am a 19 year old with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. I am the assistant manager at my location (not the one you're complaining about). Tim Horton's does NOT hire people with the lowest IQ. Between 6-10AM, we go through about 500 cars. That's a lot of orders! We can't be perfect every time, and if you don't like it, them don't come to Tim Horton's. We stride for the best, and we are not stupid. If you've been coming every week for 4-5 years and you've been getting your order wrong like this all these years, you must be the stupid one to keep coming back. We don't have low IQ's and your 'explanation otherwise' is that we are a HIGH VOLUME RESTAURANT AND WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES.
Also, when you say no Cheese or tomatoes, try saying could you please have No Cheese and No Tomatoes on that? Make sure they repeat your order back. Pull up past the window, check your sandwich and if it's not right, walk inside and make them fix it really quick! Jeez!
not listening
I went into Tim hortons to fill my 2 thermos's with coffee & said to order taker/clerk do not rinse out I have my sugar already in them just fill with coffee please said it 3 times to him
I paid for the coffee then I heard the water running looked over to see my 2 thermos's being rinsed out after saying not to
I went over &said to him I thought I ask for you not to rinse them out all he could do was look at then he said he was sorry & was going to give me 2packets of sugar for each thermos
I think that the people working in these places should learn to understand English better &listen to the customers better
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Employees are required to rinse thermos each time

slip and almost fall, injured my new hip
This morning I went to my local Tim Horton's for two coffees. They are building a new one so right now they are running out of mobile trailer. It had been raining and I slipped on their floor, I grabbed the door handle and managed not to fall right down but I did injure my hip, it is a replacement I got 1 1/2 years ago.I am in great pain right now and will be seeing a doctor in the morning. The ladies behind the counter were not concerned when I told them that I slipped and hurt myself, or that the floor was slippery.

I fell at a Tim Hortons in Pickering, they had washed the foyer floor and the sign was not visible it should have been outside or in clear view in the front. I have bloody scrapes and bruises and couldn't walk for weeks properly.
need to cook their food longer
Every time I go to tim horton's I get a blt and I always have to pick out the bacon. Its disgusting. They need to start cooking it longer or I will be going to higher measures to get tim horton's shut down! I remember when tim horton's was good. You guys have taken a steep tumble down a cliff. I have got food poisoning from the strathmore tim horton's by a bagel and icecap. Clean up your bloody act, get of you cushiony office chair and do your job. People shouldn't have to worry about getting sick from food that incompetent workers that don't know how to make the food or are taking short cuts. That's how you kill a person and that blood will be on your hands.
I want to hear a response of what actions you are going to take to fix this issue but if you don't respond to me in the next 48 hours ill be taking higher measures to shut you down.

breaks and wage
Hello,
A family member of mine works at TIm Hortons. After hunting for a job for years and years, there was no decent job for her to work at. Due to having kitchen experience she got hired at Tim Hortons. Guess what? She works 8 hours for 4 days straight with only 2 15 min breaks allowed every shift. They don't get lunch breaks. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW! In Canadian Law you are entitled to receive a non-paid lunch break but guess what... even that 15 min break they take in between they have to punch out. Ofcourse, they are ALWAYS short staffed! ... This is pathetic and I am not going to sit quite. Everyone should be treated fairly. What I witnessed is outrageous and should be taken action upon. Ultimately, I will contact CEO of T.H, the corporation, BBB, worksafebc, every place I could think of.. I will. I just cannot see anyone be treated unfairly. No one deserves to be treated like an animal ! Period.
LOL thats what I was thinking too
everything!!!
Well to start off I work for a tim hortons, sadly, I hired in a year ago, I am a serv safe certified supervisor, and well never in my life would I eat or drink anything from any location,
We are taught in training videos that everything has to be re baked every 8 hrs, well our location bakes at 5am and sells the product all day and at the end of the night we are ordered by the owners to put bagels and muffins ina bag and leave them on the table to be sold the next day, eeewwww, things have a expiration for a reason guys!, the "fresh tea" is anything but, more like 4 days old and watch out for the mold, machines are rarely cleaned, employees are docked 1/2 hr out of every day they work for a break they do not get, we work one person at night, so how do they take said break, fresh coffee every 20 mins is a joke! We are told by owners to stretch the coffee out.. Which usually means keep it for about an hr, they are cheating the corp by falsifying production sheets so food cost is low, I have went to owners many times with all of this and they simply do not care, aslo have contacted corp and never heard back, I am the only person who does any cleaning in our store and trys to keep everything going they way its supposed to be but it never happens, its a dead end!. All the employees have given up and just dont care anymore, supervisors run our store, which we only have a few, and they only get 7.50 an hr, which is a big slap in the face if you ask me, money is always coming up missing and only when the owner is around, then said money is taken out of our checks, the owners keep track of our hrs, we do not get to punch in or out, and checks are always wrong... Ohhhh sooo much more that would just turn your stomach but I feel this is more than enough as call to the right people are in progress, especially about the docking of hrs, you work 9 hrs and only get payed for 8.50? If I added it all up for the year thats almost a thousand dollars they have screwed me out of and every other employee too, this is a warning for anyone looking for work at tim hortons, turn around and walk away, its not worth it,
This sounds like a terrible work environment ! I am so happy you are taking the proper channels. I hope everyone goes to bat with you! Perhaps the news media would be interested.
service
Orders are wrong because of bad communication skills by staff. I'm a diabetic and they put sugar in my coffee when I asked for sweetener. I had one lady trying to give Me change for a 10 when I gave Her a $20 another time they said they were out of prize cups and I seen a bunch of them by the cash register.

My son has applied at Tim Horton in Whitby Ontario Canada located a Thickson and Hwy 7 multiple times within the last two years. He is now turning seventeen and has many community service hours under his belt. It seems they hire only female teenage girls not teenage boys. Why is a young girl who is fifteen hired on her first try and my son who is now seventeen cannot even receive a call back. He is a hard worker an honor student and has excellent references. Why will they not give him a chance? He needs this job so he can safe for university/college and gain valueable work experience.

The manager of Tim Hortons is horny and likes little girls. A little boy is a turn off for him.
You know you need to put on your big girl pants and realize your son is growing up. Why soon Junior will be able to feed himself and tie his own shoes.
But seriously though what is with all these mothers acting like their sons are still two years old and need protection. They are never like that with their daughters just their sons. Isn't it about time you let Junior grow up and fight his own battles?
I bet your son got into a lot of trouble at school and it was not poor Junior's fault.
So in other words, mommy needs to stay in the kitchen and let her little boy do all the talkin'. Then maybe, Timmy Horton will hire him, right?
night employees
The people working there at night they do not have experience there are lazy and no supervisor. They do not know how to deal with the customer. They scream sometimes i think, they have psychological problems they don't remember what they serve and charge and of course other interest asking people for tips. Looking for boyfriend etc they should be working indifferent shift so there's no. Conflict of interest plus they have some respect.

I didn't understand any of this complaint LOL
important
I went this Tim Hortons ordering a large meal for my family . I over heard the manager yelling at his employees and being very vulgar. I feel this behaviour should not be happening in a work place and will never be coming to this Tim Hortons again. I am writing this complaint as I feel it is unfair and he should not be treating his employees in that manner...

I went to this YVR airport location for a cup of hot chocolate and a chocolate dip donut. For the Donut, I asked the server that I need it in a box. While she was opening the box and preparing to keep my donut in there. Her Manager/supervisor interupted her and asked her why isn't she using the bag instead. He came to me and I said I need it in a box because when I go home all the chocolate from the donut is on the bag, I even said I am willing to pay him for the box. At that he asked for $1.99, just because he sells all his mini donuts in the box and he charges his customers $1.99 for that. I told him thats outrageous as at some locations they give it in a box(which makes sense). I was really disappointed by his services. Company should fire such kind of incompetent personals.
Sometimes the glaze is really fresh and will get suck to the bag so I understand the box but charging 1.99 for it is stupid. At our work we don't charge for it.
You needed box for one donut!? thats ridiculous
rude service
Every morning I stopped in at this drive through location on my way to work and ordered 2 coffees and 2 cheddar cheese bagels. I spend $6.14 every morning M-F. I go to this location not because of the service but the convenience. On Feb 9, the service was so bad and to top it all off, one of the clerks, laughed about it.
Situation: There were two clerks at that time working the drive through, (both Asian- East Indian and Chinese). One handed me the debit machine that I took with one hand, as I turned by head to look at the machine the other Chinese woman shoved the cup in my hand. It startled me by the aggressiveness of this clerk.
The coffee was in an awkward position in my left hand, as I tried to place in my cup holder, however in doing so before it got to my cup holder it spilled on my lap. The lid was not secure on it and ¼ cup of the coffee spilled on my clothes. I felt the coffee on my skin and looked at the clerk she was standing there laughing about it. I told her it was no laughing matter. The other clerk stood there and handed the machine back to me for me to enter my code as the transaction timed out. I was so upset and even more irritated at the Chinese woman laughing at the situation. I decided not to go ahead with the transaction and took my card out of the machine, and threw the bagels in the bag back on the counter telling them to keep it. The Chinese woman then yelled at me telling me “I got your number”, not what she meant by that!
Never once, during the entire situation either of the clerks apologized for the event. I drove off and called the Police to file a complaint. They told me to call the owner, as this is a civil matter. I tried calling the owner, however he is not responding to my calls.
I am sorry to hear that...
And you make it not worth anyone's while. Your routine is old and boring.
"That is what makes the site more fun." - [censored].
Like I said, that part with the black eye was posted while I was in the middle of still writing my first reply, so I did not see it nor condone it. I was mainly commenting on what at first seemed a legit service complaint story. In general, no one (me, you, beth, etc)who frequents any business should be treated poorly
IYO Tasha. Which doesn't count for much.
I was in the middle of writing my reply before the whole black eye story came out, so it seemed legit to me. So whether it is a joke or not, I stand by my reply as I would stand up for anyone in that position, even you, if they were treated that way
Yea, Beth you are right. After reading the posts after my comment, it is evident.
Boring troll post.
Eagle and FunnyOne it is nice that you are standing up for the OP and her "husband" but if you have not already figured out that this is a joke complaint and the OP and her "husband" are one person who are laughing at your replies, well you deserve their laughter. The whole "Tim Horton's made my wife give my son a black eye over a math test story" gave it away.
Actually there is a mistake on that part. She did take the food but why should she have to pay for the food when she was treated badly.
I went and confronted the manager about them calling the police on my wife and he threatened to call the police on me if I did not leave the store. I admit I was angry at this time and used profanity and called his employees racial names.
However thanks for sticking up for my wife eagle13. My wife even admits her hand jerked and it was part her fault. However being laughed at is the major concern. She accidentally turned the cup upside down after the Chinese lady handed it to her. The Chinese lady should have waited until she was finished paying. Then the Chinese lady made the debit machine time out on purpose so why should my wife have to pay them when the Chinese lady knowingly made the debit machine time out. She basically took away my wife's Chance to pay. We are going to sue Tim Horton' and get her $6.14 back and we are going to sue our son's third grade teacher for calling Children's Aid and Tim Horton's for making my wife go overboard and give my son a black eye.
Leave MoniYumi alone already. She did not do anything wrong. I don't think anyone here would want their sister/mother/daughter/spouse treated that way. I think any one of us would have reacted in the same way after having coffee practically thrown at them. And by the way she did not take the food, so she doesn't owe anything.
leaky lids/cups
I am sick to death of tim hortons and their sub par, leaky lids and inconsistency. They offer a drive thru service. Great! However, I expect that when I go through the drive thru, my coffee will be made just the way I want it and be able to withstand the odd bump in the road. When I go to second cup or starbucks I have no problems with leaking. Go to timmy ho's and half of my large dbl dbl (Which sometimes tastes likes there's no sugar or sometimes tastes like it's got 1/2 a pound of sugar in it) is leaking all over me and my car. 2 years ago, I sustained a horrible burn on my chest when the woman at the drive thru handed me a leaking coffee. She apologized, took it back and gave me a new one. When I contacted head office about the scar they said I should have saved the cup! Then the district manager phoned me and said, "if you have an issue with the product, why would you continue to buy it?" I was disgusted with the response. My problem wasn't the product it was the packaging.in any case, i've stopped going to th's. I either make my coffee at home (Thanks tassimo!) or i'll pay the extra for a latte at second cup. Tim's can go @#$% themselves 7 ways till next week!

ex-employee complaint
I am an ex employee of Tim Hortons . I am complaining for the next person, or persons affected by, in my opinion, life changing, poor, ownership. I left a job, which, helped me to survive in our world, by working, and therefore earning a humble pay. I worked 3rd shift, I found that really worked well being a Dad, to a son of re 4. I was never trained, I...

Hello,
I am sorry to complain, but i have had a horrible experience at one of stores at:
2760 niagara falls blvd, tonawanda ny, 14150
[protected]
I went to this tim's (Which is right by my house) around midnight, like i do every night before work, and ordered:
Everything bagel w / butter&cream cheese, and a medium decaf&2 creme. (I'll usually spend from around 3 to 10
Dollars, sometimes adding a regular chili and a donut) i then rolled up to the window and handed the manager a $50 dollar bill, and without even looking at the drawer said she can't change a $50.
Let me tell you, i've been to tim's thouseands of times, always at night because that's when i'm working, and i
Have never been told this before. I was so shocked and disappointed; i could not believe this was happening to me
At a tim hortons. Not to mention, with the amount of business the store does, she really expects me to believe she
Doesn't have two twenties, a five and a couple lousy singles to change my money?! Simply not acceptable
I know it is not a big thing, but i am so angry still, i can't help it. If something is not done to correct the problem,
I will never go to that store again; it's just as easy for me to toast a bagel and make some instant coffee at
Home before work.
Thanks for your time and giving me an outlet for this problem on your website. In general i have always had a
Good experience at tim hortons previously.

They're a fast food place, not a bank.
Get real.
if this happened to me at ANY fat food resaurant, i would refuse to leave the drive-thru until i was served. No excuse for this in any way.
