Customer service refuses to close my account - to be honest, I can't remember the last time they helped me with anything
They keep escalading my case to 'legal' and dismissing me for days, just for me to redo the process with another annoyed call centre agent. They're now doing this thing where they keep transfering me to differnt departments and just putting me on hold - i've literally been on hold for this particular department transfer for 45 minutes, i've bene on the phone for over an hour

2020 I was retrenched, couldn't pay my account, I was then handed over to Shapiro Sheiks, I made arrangements, I tried to paid whatever I can afford, I got a job in 2021 where I started paying even though it wasn't much but I tried as I am a single parent, 2023 which is this year paid the full amount on the 18 September 2023 and sent the prove of payment to Shapiro sheiks, Lawyers requested for the paid up letter as I paid the amount in full, cell c keep on saying I am owing even if the lawyers insist that I paid in full.

A broken laptop on contract
25th august 23 mecer laptop contracts taken
2nd September 23 laptop taken in white and black screen
27th September 23 received replacement mecer latop
28th September 23 taken back to the store as it was broken/ missing links etc
2nd October 23 Mercer accredited technician was sent to assess the item. Consultant clearly requested a credit back to the store of the mecer laptop.
The laptop was repair wholly. I have demanded my contract cancellation with immediate effect but to no avail nothing is done. Who the hell wants to pay for a broken junk.
25th October 23 2 months and counting no device.

I went to cell c in Pinecrest mall today during my lunch to do a sim swap as mine was damaged. I was greeted by a colored gentleman who advised he cannot assist me with my driver's license I need my id. Cool, they don't even accept a recently certified copy. I sent an email on 15/9/2023 requesting to cancel contract. No response received.
I sent a follow up email on 9/10/2023 and still did not receive any response.
I then phoned on 16/10/2023 - was told that cannot cancel via email must phone.
Asked to be phoned back by someone that can understand afrikaans - none received
Email was sent on 15/9/2023 to Cell C customer care, with account number [protected] quoted in the subject line together with the words cancellation of account - requesting that both contracts be cancelled on the specific account. Was not processed despite follow ups. After complaint lodged only one contract was cancelled on the account and not both.

Now they say the finance department has decided to keep the additional credit for the next month. On the 12 September 2023, i called the retentions department to cancel my contract on [protected] to cancel and they confirmed that cancellation is 30 days and on the 12 October 2023, contract will be cancelled and i will receive pro-rata data until the 12 October 2023 and charged only until the 12 October 2023.
i am very disappointed that i was charged full price for OCTOBER 2023.

Yesterday I have received confirmation from your call centre that my outstanding amount of R 259.00 was paid in full. This morning I saw on my credit score the you are showing 2 missed payments now with the whole amount outstanding.
I am losing my patience with Cell C. Correct this or I will be going to a lawyer and sue the [censored] out of you for ruining my PERFECT credit score that I have spend YEARS on building it. Fighting for nearly 4 months for cellc to cancel this service contents which I did not subscribe to. They stole nearly r3000 from me with this scam. This month again almost r200 stolen. What the hell is cellc fantasy 5 and xtrench! I have been a loyal paying customer for over 10 years and for the past months you added this to my account without my consent. No one helps you. Cell phone contract upgrade
Hi can u please assist and show me where in the terms and conditions for the upgrade policies does it show,if u are under dept review u will not qualify for an upgrade,i have read all of the documents on cell c webb site and can not find it.
I have also checked my emails cell c did upgrade my contracts on the 25Sept 2021 did i received my new contacts and the contacts is under the new policies,so how is it now possible to decline the upgrade.
Also see attached fotos of 2years ago with almost the same complaint,where cell c states that they cant do the upgrade because of policies.

I am having a limit on my account of R1500. I got a deduction of over R14000.
On the 1st of September my husbands account was deducted with R14361.86. My husband is working in America and is not using the account at the moment as he has a American number now. His account also has a limit of R1500 on it. The call centre does not want to assist me. He had to send an e-mail and he did so with no feedback.
I went to local shop with an e-mail stating he gives me permission to sort it out.
They just said there is no limit on the contract that he has. He receives an SMS every month stating Your monthly limit witch includes your Subscription &value added services in R1500. Your ability to make local & international calls or use international roaming services will be disabled once your limit has been exceeded.
Desired outcome: We would appreciate it if this bill can be corrected as there is a limit on this account and should not have been pushed to R14361.86 amount.

I am a victim of Fraud case at Cell C. I reported the case to Cell C. They closed the accounts and inlisted me on SAFPS. SINCE listed on SAFPS, MY CREDIT LIFE HAS BEEN A Hell. Im having Bad credit score, im paying High on interest Rates, Im Having a lot of Credit Queries because i cant get credit normally. Even after submitting SAFPS letter.
