Dollar General store employee and digital coupons

I visit store #01983 at least 4 times a week. The last few times I've been there a young man has checked me out. My digital coupons are not working. He doesn't try to do anything to help me. He gets rude with me. Everyone else there has always been very nice. I have been out of pocket over 10.00 because of digital coupons not working. Also I would appreciate the store being cleaner.

There's not anything they can do about digital coupons. If they work, good. If they don't, oh well!

Dollar General unprofessional upper management

My name is Chris and I live in Golden Valley Az. I shop store #6939 every week and spend a fair amount of money there. The store manager is Jesse and he is a very hard working dedicated employee. I went in on 07/06/2018 like I do every Friday and Jesse was working his butt off just like always as he was getting ready for the store re-model. There I came across the most arrogant, self serving, snobby female I have ever encountered. I found out later that her name is Bri and the way she treated Jesse was shameful. I mean this man works hard and she treated him like he was her slave. I was in shock she would treat him this way and especially in front of customers. If I every see her in that store again I will turn around and go to Family Dollar a mile down the road. My suggestion is you put someone with a little maturity and experience in that position because her arrogance is completely out of control.

Dollar General manager, wanda, store 5817

The manager, Wanda, you have at this store is arrogant, rude, and mouthy toward customers and employees.I have shopped their many times and have noticed this many times.A drug test on her would probably reveal the problem you have here. Why you would want this type running your business only to lead to ruining your business is beyond all thoughts .I have also noticed her in the parking lot smoking many times during a work shift.

Dollar General store is nasty

This Dollar General Store is constantly filthy and never stocked. The items to be stocked are always lining the aisles to where it makes it difficult to move about the store. It's to a point to where I go into other stores and I am amazed at how they are kept compared to this store. I believe someone from higher up needs to come visit and see the filth to grasp the full need. It's embarassing.

Dollar General manager

I live in Vicksburg, Ms and I always go into the Dollar General Store on 61 south. I went in one day and the Manager was talking to the other employees like 3rd grader in front of customers and she was also on her phone talking to someone else about the store and employees. I continue to shop around the store she went to the back of the store on the phone talking about how she was going to get rid of them one by one and she stated she was going to bring in her own crew in to work for her. They store needs a new manager and fast no one is going to work in a stressful work environment. I have been the manager of my store for 25 yrs and never in life have I seen anything in my life like this. She is not team work material she's bossing grown people around talking to them like kids and that's sad. I feel what you and another employee talk about don't need to be heard on the floor or talked about to other employees or outsiders. She's cursing them out and not helping them . That a sad work enivorment. Dollar store need to look at their employees turn over store by store and fix the problem at the head instead of worrying about sales with 2 people in the store at night 1 stocking while the other one a cashier. I ask her name upon leaving the store and was told her name is Clarrisa. This problem need to solve she had very poor management skills. Someone from home office need to go visit every Dollar Store and talk to the employees and get their out put on the job and how they are being treated at these stores, if not I see a lawsuit coming . Very poor customer service from the Manager the workers are helpful and friendly.

The manager has the right to pick and choose who works for her. Besides would you be willing to pay that woman's bills if she lost her job because of you?

I would if I could but that's not the point. What I'm saying is if a person loses their job because someone got them fired and that person had no means of support and had to go hungry or had to live on the street, would that other person be willing to take care of them? Probably not. Do to others as you would want them to do to you.

Dollar General improper behavior

The manager at the local dollar general, 2311 S. Market St. in Brenham Texas, was not acting professional such as following husband around talking about her drug use and how she likes to party. I don't think this is how a manager should act and will not be going back there to shop. Maybe do a more extensive background check next time. I'm not sure what her name is exactly it else I would let you know that as well.

Manager at the Store in Stratford Texas is racist! Went in with a friend (she's black) and she wouldn't stop following her and told her, while she was looking at hair products, that she didn't sell things for people like her. As we were walking out I heard her say ‘finally got rid of that n****' I'll be calling customer service soon to get her fired

A lady was talking on the phone at the register...holding up the line...scheduling an interview for ANOTHER job...then called her friend anto tell her she had a job interview elsewhere. Dollar General wrongly accused of shoplifting

I went into the store with my 3 year old son and i wasnt there but maybe 5 min. Its 90° out so I was wearing a pair of shorts and a thin tshirt. I bought a bottle of tide, a roll of paper towels, large box of trash bags, a toy firetruck, a pack pf dispozable razors, and a pair of head phones. I never even walked around the clothes. I paid for my stuff and walked to my car. I was followed out by an employee that started accusing me of shoplifting. She said that she had me on camera and that she was calling the police so me knowing that was impossible since i had done nothing wrong i told her to please call tge police because she was lying. I didnt do anything wrong and Ive never stolen anything in my life. The girl at tge checkout counter even agreed saying that i didnt even have a purse. Her response was "you dont always need a purse." At this point i went from upset to angry for being accused of something I didnt do. Aftee argung with her for 5 min and asking her to see the video and to call the police she decided that i did nothing wrong and just walked away. There are people standing there watching and in a small town drama and gossip spreads fast. She didnt even apologize for accusing me and then said she was going to tell the manager to watch me or have me barred even though she knew at this point that i did nothing wrong. So i will be calling my lawyer about this. This was the most humiliating thing to ever happen to me and she shouldnt get away with this.

Dollar General manager & cashier

Cashier had a long line of customers as she yelled terribly loud for the manager to assist her. After 5 mins of no response from manager, the customer in front of me started questioning why he was still waiting after paying for his merchandise. Without warning and harshly, the cashier responded to the customer with such a bad attitude and demeanor as if we as customers were supposed to automatically know what was going on. I became very upset because the customer she was arguing with was elderly! I left dollar general without purchasing anything. I am so disgusted because the manager didn't address it and instead tried arguing back with the elderly customer and myself ! This happens a lot at the dollar general in my neighborhood. I love literally 2 mins away. Sad thing is I'm too disgusted to continue doing business with especially this dollar general in particular! This is my last attempt because I held in the first situation when I heard the manager arguing with yet another customer. This is outrageous! If this continues without action, having a neighborhood strike from this dollar general has already been in question for several residents. I love dollar general but your employees treat your business and your customers like [censored] :(

The Dollar General store in Quinton, New Jersey has the worse parking lot as far as trash never being picked up. I live next store and have to pick up their trash out of my yard daily. There landscaping leaves a whole lot to be desired the grass gets cut about every 2 months if we are lucky. In general the store is an eyesore on the outside and inside. It's time for someone to take charge and clean the place up.

Dollar General altha fl dollar general

Y'all have GREAT employees there in Altha Florida! Always helpful and sweet and professional!

But however there's a issue! Y'all do NOT have air conditioning in there at all! There's Nats in there from the doors from being wide open because there's no air to circulate or keep the employees and/or customers too!

Y'all had someone supposedly fix it and it still isn't and hasn't been for a good minute, and frankly that's not fair to the customer and especially employees because I know damn well y'all dont pay worth a damn anyway for the amount of work y'all want done! They are always so hot when I walk in there so friggan HOT sweating their [censored] off as well as the pregnant woman that is made to work in that heat! That's not healthy for her period and all y'all did was offer ONE Gatorade per shift? Really? Y'all need to do something about this! That's not cool by any means I guarantee y'all have air where y'all are at working in your offices, but expect them to do what they do in that heat especially in Florida! Get it together Dollar General!

Dollar General dollar general employee complaint

I shop in our lovely local dollar general almost daily. It is usually a wonderful experience, but... I was very insulted by a new employee that has quite a attitude. This is not the first time this has happened. She rolled her eyes at me when I was not sure about the new way to insert bank card into machine instead of swipping it. I said. "How is your day. she didn;t say nothing. She continuted to bag my merchandise, which I bought around 44.00 and she put my bread on the bottom d the cans on top. When I came home my eggs were broken and my my bread was smashed. She didnt have to give me a attitde like that. I was very upset. The new manager I have not yet have called, she really is a great girl and has that store in top shape. I will be contacting her tomorrow. The girls name was Kaylee or Kayla. She was so rude her job is defiantly not in customer service. She really needs a class on how to treat your customers. But, to the rest of the Dollar General Employees and managers are awesome you really have a great leader Samantha running your store.

Kaylee is defiantley not Dollar Generail Material

Thank you

Mrs. Banhart

Dollar General associate at register singing while wearing earbuds. could not hear my questions.

While paying for the items I had, I asked the associate if she had any regular packs of m&m plain candies. She didn't respond. I asked again, and when she didn't answer, I stopped looking for the item and looked up. She was singing to music I could hear, myself, wearing purple earbuds. I told her to never mind, and I just picked up a king-size pack. Even then, there was no response, after making eye contact. I know I had the look of a person with a question, but that was either ignored or not seen. I paid for my items, Allergy tablets, diphenhydramine, 100 tablets, and the king-sized m&m plain candies, and left. She did say "Thank You". Maybe there was a pause in the music, or she was between songs, and felt she could, for that brief moment, acknowledge me, a paying customer. This isn't my first negative experience there. Another time, I asked an employee, who I believe was this same associate, but I can't be positive about this, if they had more of a bagged candy, Jolly Ranchers Sour hard candies, up top, in the inventory on top of the shelves. This associate said "I don't know ", and walked away. I thought she may have been getting a ladder, or another associate, but this wasn't the case. She went directly to the register, and began ringing others up. Even when I purchased the items I could find, and she rang them up, she did not mention the question I asked. Another time, I witnessed a man who, after paying for his items, had the associate on the register say "Hey! Hey! Put this where you got it from!", pointing at the yellow bin the guy had used to hold his items while shopping. I would've been polite, as this man should've been. But, her saying a loud "Hey! Hey!" was very out of line, and reflects poorly on your corporation. This particular Dollar General has an associate professionalism problem. I am always a person who comments about good manners and friendliness to each associate. I am very quick to point out respect and honorable attitudes, being retired US Navy, and who appreciates discipline, respect and hard work. I give them the benefit of the doubt, even saying encouraging words when someone appears depressed, or down. However, blatant disrespect shouldn't be tolerated, especially when every dollar from customers should be appreciated with today's prices. I have never reviewed your corporate training program for new associates. But, I can see that any policies on customer service and respect aren't being enforced at this location of Dollar General in Boiling Springs, SC, store number 04847. Thank you.

Dollar General complaint against employee

I am complaining because last night I had a horrible experience shopping at the Dollar General store in Thurmond NC. The blonde haired woman who was in charge of the store, I think she is a manager, named Dawn was very disrespectful to us. She very rudely informed us that it was closing time and we needed to hurry to the register before it was closed down or we wouldn't get to purchase our 32 items. My daughter went to check a price for me while I waited in line and Dawn gave her a mean look like she was trying to steal something and questioned her about what she was doing. Then at the register I was trying to be as fast as possible getting my items checked out as the lights were being cut off while we were checking out. So I couldn't see very well and was trying to hurry as best I could which had me shaking after an already stressful day, it was clear to see that I have health issues, I'm disabled. Well, being rushed and all I wasn't allowed the time to pull up my DG digital coupons which I really needed to use since I'm on a fixed income, and I was frantically searching my purse for my EBT and Debit cards so I had my purse out taking everything out of it right in front of both employees and put my belongings back in and closed my purse in front of them. The dark haired woman running the register was very kind I want to compliment her for her kind customer service. However, Dawn continued to be very rude and it only got worse. When we exited the store she noticed my purse on my daughter's shoulder and said "Anytime someone comes in with a larger sized purse we have to search it, it's store policy, so I need u to come back in." As instructed I reentered the store and emptied my purse, which is not very large, onto the floor as I thought she requested being that is the quickest way to see what's inside it. She then smartly remarked " I told you I had to search it, you didn't have to dump it out." After seeing the contents of my purse she just walked off as I collected my belongings and I, a disabled regular customer, had to pull the doors open in order to get out. I have almost exclusively shopped at Dollar General for years and I have NEVER encountered such disrespect and been treated so terribly and I am utterly OUTRAGED by this mistreatment! She could see I was overwhelmed and stressed but instead of trying to help she only made it worse to the point that I was shaking. I have talked to others and found that many have had issues with her, she has a horrible attitude. I have always shopped with Dollar General but this experience has me considering other stores for my regular shopping. I guess I'll just start going to Walmart. I feel this is a serious issue that requires your immediate attention! I sincerely hope that you will take the appropriate actions to take care of this problem. I will be posting on Facebook about my experience last night to warn others and will keep them updated as to how you handle this matter. I thank you for your time it is appreciated but I am so angered by this mistreatment I endured and think it may even be discrimination because the other customers who were in front of us were not treated the way we were with such disrespect. I believe she violated my rights, she definitely does not know how to properly treat a customer, In my opinion this is a serious problem that needs to be addressed right away. This issue occurred at store #17265 on 07/09/2018 at 22:12:56.

Sincerely,
Tamela Mcgee

Dollar General management

The Dollar General in Shelbyville Il, 01123 needs new management. The store is a mess. Clothes threw all over the floor and customers walking on them. Food and different items on the floor. Lots and lots of expired food. I have picked up many items expired and put back because it does no good to tell anyone. It seems like the manager is always off work and people working for her. She is phony and talks about customers and staff in front of other customers. She tries to act kind but is not. She had some good employees and they have left because of her. I know some of the employees that have left. Great decent hard workers. the people working there now either have not been trained or something, they do not know anything. If I go in usually there is no one to greet me. When I go to checkout might be 5 minutes or more before anyone shows up to check me out. The manger needs fired and another one to take over. I have stopped shopping there and have told anyone and everyone to go to another store because of her.

The Dollar General store in Jacksonville Beach Florida would be a good store if it had better management. The manager Ann Leopard runs around the store looking like a clown that escaped from the circus with all the crazy hair colors and the crazy eyeshadow. It specifically states in the policy no colored hair and customer's have complained about how unprofessional it is along with her rude attitude. Then you have the assistant manager Brooke Money who's alcoholic husband comes in the store and the two of them are arguing and cussing so the customer's being checked out can hear them. You can tell the young man on register is embarrassed and keeps apologizing to the customer's. The assistant manager is also rude and lazy. There is discrimination and favoritism going on big time. When customer's ask for the number for the district manager or corporate to complain about these two they laugh and give the number but as soon as the customer walks out the door they will call the district manager to tell their side of the store first. It's a shame because this store does have some really good employees but theses two make sure they are not around very long. Dollaar General expects some employees to follow policy but yet corporate does not enforce the policy for management. They get rid of employees that work but keep management that covers for each other when customer's complain. That's a shame.

I have a personal issue with any company that don't make employees follow the policy especially management. I don't know the management personal but when I'm a paying customer in a store with my elderly parent and I see and hear management cussing and laughing at other employees playing instead of putting a stop to it. Then, yes I have a personal issue. Management should be held to a higher standard and set the example for other employees. Dollar General don't even follow it's own policy so I can see why they don't care what takes place in their stores. Bottom line. If I'm a paying customer then yes I have an issue.

Dollar General store temperature

The DOllar store on Route 21, in Masontown Pennsylvania is extremely hot. It's nearly impossible to shop for more than 5 mins without getting over heated. It's at least 25 degrees hotter inside than what it is outside. So, when it's 80 degrees outside it's nearly 100+ inside. It is even worse for the employees working inside this store. You can see, just by shopping in there, that they are hot and miserable. Something needs to be done about this immediately. This has to be some kind of violation of the employees having to work in this store!

Dollar General cashier on her phone

The lady at the register was on her phone the entire time. She didn't even greet us when we walked into the store. The phone call seemed to be a personal phone call and had nothing to do with her work. All I'm trying to say was that the service was very bad and it was disrespectful for her to be on her phone the entire time while checking me and my family out.

How do you know it was a personal call? Was you eavesdropping? Isn't that rude of you to be listening to a conversation that's none of your business? Grow up.
