The cashier was an African American woman at the only register open on December 26, 2017 at exactly 5:52 pm. I had my sick child in the car so I was trying to be fast. I placed my basket on the belt. When I reached the front of the line the cashier said "you need to take you items out of the basket". I complied but it really aggravated me. Her tone was condescending and she just stood there and watched me take my items out to place on the belt. Which really didn't make sense since she still need to pick up every item to scan. Her attitude was poor and I will not be returning to Dollar Tree.

I was in dollar tree located in Chesapeake, VA; store 502. I was in there trying to find some last minute items when I approached a young lady and she kindly pointed me in the right direction of the items I was searching for. I walked away and soon after she approached me and asked me if I found the item I was as looking for which at that time I had not, but she quickly found the items for me. As she walked away she greeted another customer and they stopped her and I assume that customer needed help as well. Shortly after I heard them paging a worker to the front which I assumed to be the young last that just helped me. A few moments passed and the worker was paged again. To my horror I go into check out to find the same young lady being fussed at by whom I assume to be a manager. I heard the him talking very rudely to her and she apologized and tried explaining she was helping a customer and he just about got in her face and continued talking aggressively and the young lady told him again she was sorry and that every customer mattered and he moved her out from in front of the register and told her to go home. Someone needs to retrain this man how to treat his employee. I can't not believe what I along with numerous customers witnessed and I feel very embarrassed for the young lady. They've lost my business for life due to this incident.

I had gotten a call on Christmas eve about a complaint on Samantha. she had yelled at two younger girls for holding up her line. They went out crying to their grandpa. so I told him I would let Missy know of the incident. I had texted Missy in the meantime and she advised me to tell her to go home if she did anything else. I proceeded to clean up the seasonal area. so the lines started to get long so I called her up. After they got caught up she went back to doing what she was doing. so in about 15-20 minutes later I had to call her up again. she at that time yelled at me because she needed her second 10 minute break because she was working 9 hours. so I told her if it was too much for her she was to go home. I also informed her that I didn't have a till so I couldn't run. So she told me I could switch my numbers over. So I went in the office and switch numbers and told her to go home because Missy told me to tell her. Then I told her that the customers nor do I need her attitude all because she doesn't want to run register. Then she told me that she was not going home. In the mean time there were several customers that told me they try to avoid going through her line because she is rude to them. So for the remainder of my time, I avoided her as much as I could to avoid another incident. Then as I was leaving a couple of employees told me they are going to be quitting, because they can't stand the way she is rude with everyone.

I know alot not big corporations does not allow employee relations. All the ones I have worked for does not allow it at all. Due to the fact if the relationship goes wrong there could be a sexual harassment case filed. So i'm here today to bring to you all's attention that in the nacogdoches texas location two of your managers kandiace zager and howard thomas are definitely having sexual intercourse. I really hate to be this way but I thought it should be known about the 2. Also if you guys do random drug test then I highly advice you all to also make them do one also. I'm not here to ruin anyone lives because I know everyone has a family to feed but I also know that with most big corporations this is a big no no. Thanks for taking time out to hear me out. Dear dollar tree headquarters and complaint department,
I have lived in the community of allston/brighton for more than 11 years. My husband purchased for me, in error, two bottles of "nestea lemon 1 ltr on 12/21/2017 at 19:07 hours. I tried to exchange, with the original receipt in my hand, the 2 bottles of unopened nestea lemon 1 ltr on 12/23/2017 at 14:30 hours. The cashier went and got the store manger and they both proceeded to talk-down-at-me, while behind me, were a long line of people waiting to check out. I told them that I had never had a problem with making an even exchange in the past. I reminded them both that the dollar tree store receipt states that"we will gladly exchange any unopened item with original receipt." they both kept telling me that I could not return food. I told them both that I wanted to exchange 2 glass bottles of nestea juice, and not food. I am asking that the store manager and cashier be fired immediately!

This is an incredible overreaction and a ridiculous request. They are simply following company policy. You want two individuals terminated during the holidays just for this? What if that happened to you? How would you feel?

I am complaining about store #4574 for wrong change due back and unethical behavior on 122417.
Todayl I purposely went to the atm to withdraw $40 but needed to break a $20 bill because I needed a $10bill from it. I decided to go this store to buy a christmas bow so I can purposely break my $20 bill. My total was 1.08. I gave sale associate patricia my 20 that I purposely came to break and told to her wait because I thought I had.08cent but only had 7 pennies so I game her a dime, which is a total of $20.10. At the time of getting my change back I realized she didn't give me my.02 cents back but it was just 2 pennies so I wasn't to worried. The thing I did wrong was trusting that the sales associate patricia gave me the correct change back. I did not realize that till I got home that patricia only gave me $9 back and I didn't even have the 10 that I needed which was the whole purpose to going to the store! When I realized this I rushed back to store #4574 to confront the lady. When they were finally able to make time for me. The sales associate tired to tell her manager that I gave her a 10 dollar bill. (Which was a complete lie) I told her I gave her 10cents. They ended up counting her drawer and saying she wasn't off buy that much money she owed me. I was still not pleased because I was standing her with just 9 dollars in my wallet. The manger and associate ended up leaving me outside and going to her office to do whatever they were doing to come back out and tell me that her drawer isn't off buy that much. I know that I gave this women a 20 dollar bill which is says on my receipt! The sales associate patricia ended up coming over again and making up a whole new story about how I was her a 20 to break at first then gave her a 10 and then gave her a 20 and then a 10 again saying I couldn't make up my mind. Which really upset me that she made up this lieeeeee! I am beyond upset, and extremely disappointed in how this was all handled. This sale associate patrica completely lied to save her own butt. If her drawer was not off buy that much she obviously isn't doing a good job at getting change back to people and I understand that can happen at times but to make up a complete lie is just crazy. The only thing this manger did to help was give me corporate number. The sales associate patricia was better off telling me she gave me all my change back and I miss placed or lost the 10 and I could have felt with that but she knew she was wrong because she made up this complete lie of a story because she was wrong. So thank you dollar tree store #4574 for the 11.10 cent bow I bought today when I paid you a 20 like my receipt says and the bow as only suppose to cost me 1.

On December 24 2017 the dollar tree has a sign up that says Christmas Eve Sunday December 24 store opens at 9am-10p. At 9:04 am the store is not open with a hand written sign that says the store closing 9am -10:30 am no further info. Therrs customers pulling in and off left and right! Very inconvenient. Retailer should at least explain why store has posted time but not opened.

I went to go shopping at the store today for some much needed last minute Christmas items that I forgot to grab while shopping at the nearby Walmart and as I was walking up to the store the manager out of no where came walking out the store up to me saying I wasn't allowed in the store and I've never seen this woman before she must have confused me with someone else or something but she had attitude the whole time threatened to call the cops on me, I said I'm sorry I don't know you and I'm allowed to shop at any public place that I choose so I proceeded into the store once in the store she kept watching me and after looking for my items I decided to go elsewhere as she was making me feel very uncomfortable and not to mention the 2 register that were open the lines were backed down the isles so she proceeded to get on the phone with someone I believe the cops saying we were harassing her and followed my mother and I out the store saying we just left the store, I think this was observed behavior and to make accusations not knowing who we were as a manager she should not have acted the way she did! I hope some type of action is made out of this!

As my husband was going in one of your clerks had went outside to tell the manager that they needed more cashier help. The manager was rude as she was coming back in. She may have thought she was talking to herself but she was not. She said: because her break was interpret that her words not ours. "THIS IS [censor]". We feel this was not becoming of a manager. She had her cigarette break interrupted. Needless to say the lines were long inside. About 8 to 10 people were in one line. This is one of your busiest days and I don't feel this was professional coming from a manager. I would not even expect that from a clerk.

Bottom line . My wife is being pointed out cause she cant close as fast as others Even though at the end of the day she drives your money in the dark to your bank Its not about the money either she has told anyone that will listen that she was never properly trained on how to close That's on you not her she stated that she will time out so that your company don't have to pay her cause shoes overweight which show is told daily by the head manager Gary . my wallet was stolen by employees
Yesterday I shopped in the Dollar Tree store located in 17657 North Dale Mabry Lutz 33548, My wallet was stolen by an employee and covered up by others, I asked for my wallet to be returned and they acted nervous and began to state that the security surveillance cameras were not working and there's no proof of such thing as a cashier or store manager keeping my wallet.
I call the sheriff department and did a report of the incident. Have a report # and this happened between a time frame of 1:45 - 2:00 pm .
Please investigate this store ASAP because the employees working here are real crooks.
Same thing happened to me 3 weeks ago and the manager gave me the run around about the cameras. He was supposed to have called me but didn’t so after a week I went to speak to manager. He tells me he didn’t see anything in the camera period. He had told me before that he would ask corporate permission to review the cameras with me. I was supposed to pay part of my rent that day and had $676 dollars in my wallet. I know that cashier stole it when I left it unattended to get an item after I had paid. These people are vial and I feel disgusted going back there.
So sorry this happened to you; I truly know how you felt; there’s a sour-sweet afterwards; somebody did found the wallet on Kohl’s parking store next to St Joseph Hospital & real nice lady left a note on my house that she found it & all my credit cards, driving license, student ID were there, but all my money was gone over $300 cash; I took it to check for finger prints & try to get a court permission to check surveillance cameras plus a Subpoena but all fail; but I believe in Karma and after all this negative event I got triple blessed ; I just hope the person that spent my money had a blast with it; but I learned my lesson to not come back as a customer to that store.
rack fell off end cap display and hit me in the head
On Monday I was in the Aberdeen Wa store.
The isles had several freight carts blocking isle. While trying to maneuver around a freight cart my cart barely bumped in to an end hanging display rack. The metal rack which is fairly heaving fell and hit me in the forehead head. It left an egg on my forehead. I was able to re-attach the rack. It hit so hard it took me a few minutes to catch my bearings as it was very painful. I let an employee know this had happened and suggested that he fix it. He barely acknowledged me. His response was, "O sorry about that" I attempted to let him know where it was and he and kept going. His demeanor was ok whatever.
Today is Wednesday and the area still has pain and swelling. I am actually shock that it that it did not bust my head open. I want to report it because it is unsafe and I don't want someone else to be injured.

I am complaining about a very disrespectful assistant manager
I am complaining about an assistant manager named Paul Patrick at the location in Fairfield township. Paul Patrick has displayed terrible attitudes with both employees and customers. I've heard that he consistently gets written up and nothing has changed. While I was in the store, I have also heard that he called a black employee, "A good slave". Paul Patrick speaks to his employees like they are his slaves and treats them as though they are lower than him. There are also two pregnant women at this location and he has shown nothing but disrespect with them, arguing in front of customers and displaying absolutely terrible behavior.

Hi I worked at dollar tree in pataskala Ohio I started back at in June or July I breast feed my daughter and needed to pump at work the manager Tami told me that I was allowed to pump. Well the manager Judith harrassed me about it by asking all the customers and the managers about it and had an attitude with me about it when I asked her for a break to pump. I told tamey our head manager Everytime Judith would make smart remarks to me or my other Co workers tamey did not say anything to Judith and Judith did not stop I asked tamey if I could say something to her in the office and Judith had attitude to with me so we got into an argument. My friend started working with me at dollar tree a couple of days ago and Judith started to harass my friend about me and tell her things about my work ethic so again I went to tami and asked her to speak with her and Judith. Tamey told me yes and that Judith should not be discussing my work with other Co workers. Tamey, Judith and I went into the office and told Judith to please come to me or tamey if she has a problem with my work or if I'm doing something wrong. Judith starts yelling this is why I can't talk to you and waving her hands again tami does not say anything to her and nothing is resolved. Tami leaves I'm upset and judy asked me to come to the office she asks me what's wrong and again I try to explain why I'm upset. She than again yells this is why I can't talk to you and waves her hands around we get into an argument she grabs my wrist and I tap her forehead with one figure just to tell her hey do not touch me. I told her to take my draw down and she keeps shushing me and telling me to quit yelling when I wasn't yelling and I kept telling her I was not yelling. So the next day I hear that tamey wants to talk to me about the incident which upsets me because I've done nothing but try to work it out with just. Feeling harrassed and picked on because I defended myself I put my two weeks in. Judith has made me and my friend feel harrassed and uncomfortable. My friend was a witness to me and Judith's argument and she will also send her complaints in. Ever since December started tamey has told me i could wear different colors for Christmas she did not say it had to be a Christmas shirt and has let me wear different colored shirts that are not exactly Christmas but after i put my two weeks in I walked into work today with a different colored shirt I was sent home, I went ahead and quit because like I said I feel picked on and harrased. If this issue is not taking care I will complain on social media and dollar tree website so people know before they work their they may be harrassed. Also I will file something on Judy for grabbing my wrist.

My five-year-old son and I were shopping as we always do.are usually bring my son to the dollar store to get a reward for his good behavior. The new manager Richard approaches me and tells me that my son is not allowed to play with the bouncy ball in case it injures someone. My son was not behaving inappropriately and he was not bouncing the ball or playing ir radically. I told my son to continue that he was not doing anything wrong. The manager continued to harass me and told me to leave the store. I told him I was not leaving, I have every right to shop there and my son was not doing anything and if anything happens I will address it myself. He told somebody to call the police and I continued shopping and ignored him. By than my son was Completely horrified and scared and asking for his daddy he stopped doing what he was doing with the ball and told me he will only hold it in his hand. As I get to the register and proceeded to check out, the manager told the cashier not to ring me up and to cancel my transaction. I said if you cancel my transaction we are going to have a major issue I told him he was discriminating against my son and then my son didn't do anything wrong and he was harassing me I checked out and left the store. I would like someone to please contact me in regards to this matter I was harassed and I would like a letter of apology from the manager and the letter of apology to my son.

I can't believe that a store manager (Marian) actually did nothing about a employee being sexually harassed! She was informed about the situation over a month ago and has done nothing about it! That is so unacceptable of a manager! A employee trying to make a living getting treated like every time she goes to work is totally ridiculous! Then because the employee dosent show up for work she gets fired? I wouldn't go to work either if someone was making obscene comments about my personal parts and it was aloud to go on! I seriously hope the lady sues that store and marian and the males involved! And yes marian and the males parties involved should all be fired! This store needs to be under new management!

Furst time i went in there was a huge line the manager opens a register and calls over his friend its suppose to be next in line than stays talking to them. The current manager of our dollar tree store is an embarrassment to our community. Not only is he lazy but when he DOES decide to be at the store he spends a lot of time outside smoking
several times when it is busy he stays in his office, never helping staff. It is the holiday season, the isles blocked with merchandise that arrived and 3 days later when I went back they were still there. He made no attempt to unpack or help anyone. It was near impossible to see some of the shelves let alone the high risk of liability to your company. An elderly gentleman in clear view of manager was trying to reach behind the very high stack of boxes. I told him to be careful & ask for help. He very bluntly stated "That S.O.B. doesn't care about his job or about people. "
I & several friends have decided to boycott this store. Would rather spend extra money elsewhere.
We have been to other stores of your company that are clean, organized & friendly. This store is filthy & always a mess. He is sloppy, dirty & no-one understands why he is still there, or how it is going unrecognized. The whole situation is an embarrassment in our community & has been ongoing for a very long time.
