employee
The Dollar Tree on Fillmore ave between Bailey and Fillmore in Buffalo, Ny has a horrible cashier and the manager is just as bad. Everytime I go in there the cashier is trying to make friends with me and because I don't want to make friends she becomes attitudinal. I finally reported it to the manager and she said if you don't come back you don't have anything to worry about. I told her I don't deserve to be treated with disrespect. I'm spending my money as a customer and I don't need this bulls$##!.
Manager is right. Maybe you should shop elsewhere.
horrible customer service
On 9/22/2018 myself and another person were in the 3486 State St Schenectady, NY store, it was extremely busy, one register was open, they opened another and proceeded to take the 20 people behind us and emptied the store, while we who had been in line waited, Anthony who claims to be the store manager then came out and took a person walking up to the registers before he took us- at that point we chose to leave our items and leave but not before pointing out to him the poor customer service at which he laughed and said sorry...we overlooked half the things wanted to buy we couldn't reach because of the boxes stacked in front of shelves, the sheer dirtiness of the store was appalling.
You should've gotten to the other register before everybody else. First come first serve.
customer service of employee
I am disabled. I was in the new Dollar Tree in Asbury Park, NJ. I am also a former customer service representative. I encountered and employee named Mel. I love the store and I am in there on a daily basis. This woman is the rudest person I have ever met. I was in there with both of my grandsons and their mother. She was yelling at them for crying. They are babies 18 months and 3 months
She also proceeded at yelling me for trying to use my debit card and cash. I should be ashamed for allowing them to cry? I was told and would not allow me to do a cash split. My contact information [protected]@gmail.com my phone [protected]. Thanking for your time in advance. Transaction number #[protected] [protected] 9/22/18 13:47
customer service
Hello- I was in your Coldwater Michigan store today (9/21/18) and was extremely disappointed. First, this is one of the most disorganized Dollar Tree I have been in.
Secondly, when I got in line to purchase my items, it was fairly long and there was only 1 employee cashing outs customers, however, there was 2 other employees working. Both of those employees were standing at the end of the line were customers were being cashed out and talking about if the rain was done and what work they were going to bring out for the cashier to do when she wasn't busy, when in fact the cashier was the only employee actually doing any work at that time. They went on talk about the Halloween display and clearing seeing that there was a long line of customers waiting to be checked out. (Customers do not want to hear about what work they are bringing out for employees nor should they be privy to that.)
I waited in line for at least 10 minutes to be checked out. The customer standing in line in front of me even turn to me and stated that it would have been nice for one of the employees to open up another line and cashed out customers instead of standing there talking.
Needless to say as I was finally getting checked out, one of the other employee finally opened up another register, however, the line then was not nearly as long as it had been when they were standing there talking. Thank you.
Read a magazine. It'll pass the time.
messy store
I am on a few pages for Dollar Tree arts and craft ideas. People in other states post their arts section in their store to show all the cool stuff and tell how much they spent, what they are making etc. Well, I realized our store not only doesnt have near the products that other stores do, but we can't find anything 98% of the time due to clutter, mess and carts full of boxes. I thought cause it was a dollar store it was just a trashy place. But apparently its just our store. I took pics today but unfortunately, while messy, this was a neat day for them. I wish I'd taken pics 2 weeks ago when I went in as it would be more accurate. Also, their wait lines are huge, I shopped and left without buying cause I had to go, couldnt wait in a 20 person deep line with full carts when I had 8 items.
ac not working
The Nacogdoches, TX store is extremely hot. As a shopper, I was very uncomfortable & can tell you that I was sweating in just the short time I was there. I can't imagine how the employees manage to work there with only fans running in the store. It's stifling.
A business in TX MUST have air conditioning. When it went out, the manager should have notified someone to repair or replace the AC ASAP.
If you, in corporate are dragging your feet, then try spending even 10 mins in a store with no windows, no AC & 90 degree heat outside. Now imagine having to work for hours in that heat. You'll understand why this is a problem. I was told by a friend who shops there regularly that their AC has been out for several days. This is unacceptable.
staff
Myself and my 13 year old granddaughter pulled up to the Dollar Tree on 12th and Alameda. You had 3 employees, 2 women and I man outside on the sidewalk in front of the door smoking. It looked nasty. Is that your company policy to have your employees smoke in front of the door so customers have to walk through the smoke and smell that nasty smell. Just so you know we left without going in to get what we needed.
Employees have the right to a smoke break. But it should be a little further from the main entrance.
store manager
On 9/20/2018 my African American friend attempted to purchase products from store #3711 and was refused by the store manager. I went in to address the issue and she refused to give me her name, or give the security officer her name.
I just left a message with Scott Brown, Regional Manager, involving this issue and asking for a return call. Please call back regarding this issue.
Must be a reason why they refused you that you're not telling us.
product sold - does not work
I bought from Can Opener Dollar Tree Store at Lincoln Court, Lancaster Avenue in Malvern, PA
This product is imported by Dollar Tree itself.
The quality of the product is so poor that it is supposed to open the can but it does not open. This is really bad that Dollar Tree does not even test the product that they sale that it doesn't do the work it supposed to do?
We know that the product that we buy from Dollar Tree is of not the highest quality, but it has to do the basic function that it's supposed to do. In this case Can opener does not open the Can.
It should be taken out of the shelf and should not be sold and return to the supplier.

inappropriate comments by cashier
I went to the Dollar Tree at 2863 North Decatur Rd, Suite A on 9-19-18. A cashier loudly called me stinky and kept on saying why I could not remember what I wanted to buy because I came in the store twice. This isnot the first time this has happened. i went into the store at 2pm and there was only 1 cashier on duty. The harrassment is not normal because I do not know this black lady but she was very disrespectful.

I am complaining about the hiring process ( or lack of) that has gone on in your Port Orchard, WA store.
They have had signs that they are hiring and Tuesday's are their open interview days.
For the past 3 weeks Sept. 4th, 11th, and 18th my daughter has been turned away ( after waiting a significant amount of time) and told the Manager wasn't in to do interviews, and come back at the same time next week.
My daughter ( has been their with her job coach, she works with DVR) and turned away THREE times. This is terrible management and I thought you should be aware of it.
store does not have plastic bags.
Store 3051 is out of plastic bags for customer' purchased items. The cashier is using boxes and used plastic bags donated by a customer to pack customer's purchases. This practice is not sanitary, and it must stop. I don't want my items placed in a used plastic bag that may have come from some roach infested home. I used to shop at the store five days a week, but since the former manager Gus left, the store is always dirty, shelves mostly empty, and one cashier is on duty.
I do not understand command "Comment cannot be empty." I don't have an update to this complaint because I am just sending the complaint today.
My update for this complaint will be forthcoming.
I have not received any comments from store managers.
employee
There's a employee at he jasper dollar tree today having a attitude with another employee for no reason he's always doing this I thank something needs to be done he done it to some of the customers to i think it's time something needs to be done his name tag had Brandan on it it's sad going in and seeing something like this at your local store something needs to be done about him doing this to the employees and the customers
unethical behavior
On 9/13/18 at about 6:42 Pm I was in an extremely long line because there was only 1 register open. I could see that they were in the process of opening another register so I went to it. The dollar tree employee said to Me that the person in front of Me should go first. The person in front of Me wasn't shopping alone she was just standing in line while someone else was still shopping. The person in line was just standing there to "get a place in line" while someone else was getting items and bringing them to her, and that person was still shopping. I explained that to the employee who was opening the register for someone else. I dont think this person was a manager and when I told her this I was called a "Fat [censored]" and told to leave. I told her I was going to report this and she didn't have a nametag on and refused to tell Me her name (she knew what she did was wrong). I've already called this complaint in 5 times without a returned call. The # that I was given by a different employee to call was [protected] . I didn't find out her name until today from a another employee and was told she got transferred to a different location but "didn't get along with anybody there and got transferred back. The employee who harrassed Me's name is Theresa. She's an extremely obese woman who always looks like she has something in her mouth. She shouldn't be working with the public. Extremely Rude employees aren't any good for business.
Theresa should be fired
cashier shirley at victory square in savannah
I visited victory square location in Savannah Sunday September 16th. Quietly placed my 6 items on the conveyor belt and placed the divider between my items and those of the customer in front of me. I was told by cashier Shirley not to use the divider as it would get stuck and not work...then why do you have dividers?! After ringing up my items and telling me the amount, I placed the exact amount in cash on the little shelf by the credit card reader, said thank you and reached for the bag. But Shirley would not have that! I had to place the money in her hand! I have not experienced rude, holier than thou treatment like that any where! Well good luck and God bless Shirley and dollar trees every where...I will not be returning
employee treatment
I frequently go to the dollar tree located on southbridge street in Worcester Massachusetts, and every time I'm in there an elderly lady (about 80 years old) named Florence is always working the register. And there will be a line running into the isles yet she gets no help the other employees will hide throughout the store to avoid helping with the service. Today is the second time I had to call out to the workers for them to come and open another register to assist this elderly lady. The first time I received attitude from a young male worker who was standing around appearing to be flirting with another worker, and a customer. When I called out he addressed me in an unprofessional manner then lied saying he was busy looking for something but merely stood in the isle to the farthest left so I couldn't see him. (Not an assumption I did walk over to grab something else while waiting in the ridiculously long line and see him on his phone in the corner.) This time I stood in line and heard the man in front of me say "wow where are the other workers?" I look up and notice that the cashier is Florence and in an outrage I loudly said can I please have another cashier to the registers. Not even 10 seconds later that man draws my attention to two workers standing behind shelves. I began to stare at the both of them and called out can you please help Florence she's not working alone. One of them (both female workers) did not move and the other slowly proceeded to the registers then mumbles "I'm on break." So I questioned why she wasn't in the back and why there wasn't someone else around to see the line getting so bad. I'm tired of seeming the mistreatment it's a constant problem and I hope my complaint doesn't go over looked.
poor and sexist employee
As soon as I walk in from the gym, I was approach by a white woman who threaten to call the manager if I didnt leave my backpack at the front cashier. I was stun because I've been there before without anyone threatening to confiscate my property. She claim that it was "store policy " which she didnt provide any proof of. As a male, I dont get why is it ant...

The outside parts of the store are completely disgusting, there is ALWAYS TONS of garbage littering the sidewalk right in front of the store and the parking lot, old nasty fast food bags, food, diapers, bottles, cups, tons of cigarette butts and on an occasion I saw a condom laying on the sidewalk. The list goes on and on, I thought that the outside appearance of a business was the first and most important impression on the customer, if thats the case here than I don't want to enter the inside of a store that cares so little about being clean and presentable. Because of this store and the constant experience of wading through garbage I drive 25 minutes out of my way to go to another store that has self respect. I hope you can right this disgusting stores lack of initiative and gross habits. Not to mention there are boxes constantly cluttering the aisles making it quite a challenge to navigate through it.
