Never received order
Unfortunately our mail and a number of other residents was found discarded and destroyed in another town. I notified 2 sellers on Etsy that this happened. First company immediately refunded my account. They second seed geeks, just said maybe my insurance would cover the loss. The order number is [protected]. The total for order was 20.65, 3.50 for shipping. We are speaking about seeds, so I’m not sure if insurance was part of my shipping cost.The date of order is 3/21/22.
Now, I don’t know when or where this theft happened, I don’t know if it was a postal employee or another; all I know is that my order was not received by me.
I’m asking for a replacement order of what I purchased. I believe this to be fair.
Desired outcome: I would like a replacement of order. I do like what this shop has and will continue to buy from seed geeks if they fix this problem
Store closed by Etsy
Feb 3, 2022 Etsy closed my store and will not respond to any communication. An email stated I sold licensed items which I did not. I have been an Etsy seller for 7 years and was a star seller which was also removed. I sold handmade surgical scrub hats from my patterns. I have sold over 22,000 hats on Etsy. My store was closed just before Valentine's Day & St Patrick's Day, 2 major holiday sales times which left me with a large amount of inventory and the inability to sell them online. No explanations to customers or response to any of my emails to company.

But, I perceive that they didn't really deliver it since I did not receive it for more than two weeks and it's past the estimated delivery date as well. all funds held hostage!!
sold £800 worth on Etsy over a period of 2 weeks, they've closed my account down and held my funds hostage, they go down due to fees daily so by the time the 5 month period is up I will have lost every bean, do not sell on there they are complete scammers. I've appealed and they basically told me to get lost and stop messaging them! I pointed out that there was many other sellers selling the items that I had listed but non of those were removed in face 1girl had 2 years and 700 odd sales of the same item!

I recently made a purchase on etsy for a watchband thinking I was supporting a small company i the United States. When I had heard nothing about the shipping I checked my order only to find it is shipping from China. If I wanted cheap Chinese made crap I would buy from walmart. Guess I will need to find another site to shop from that supports small United States businesses. Handmade and vintage my arse.
Desired outcome: At least have the items marked as coming from china on the page so we can see it is trash before we buy it.
Web site experience
First, Etsy does not provide any way for buyers to contact Customer Support regarding general Web site issues. They do not list a phone number or email address, and you have to be a seller to post in their forums.
Second, I was recently shopping on Etsy and when I found that there was no way to change the default collection into which favorites are saved, I figured that I would just save them to the default Favorite Items collection, and then move them to more narrowly targeted collections later. So, I went about adding a ton of favorites, only to find that there is no easy way to then move those favorites. Sure, I can unfavorite and re-favorite each of 460 items, but who wants to do that?
Really extremely basic Web design would dictate two things: 1) The user should be able to set the default collection to which items are saved. 2) The user should be able to mark multiple items, click a Move button, or maybe a drop-down list and select the collection, and complete the move process for all selected items in one operation.
I found messages in the Etsy forums going back to 2018 complaining about this. These features would make it easier for buyers to get back to the items they want, and then purchase them from the sellers they like, which I think would be of interest to both buyers and sellers.
I tried every way that I could think of to communicate this issue directly to Etsy. Please forward this on to them so that it can get fixed.

Unrightful refund despite product arriving at the customer's address with proof.
A customer's package was lost in the mail. They asked for a refund, but since I'm working with a print shop that doesn't do cancellations, and the fact that it's in my shop policies that I don't offer cancellations, I told her that I would send her a replacement instead.
She didn't want this and, a week later, opened a case against me due to non delivery.
I have valid tracking information for both the lost package and the replacement, which by the way has now arrived with the customer. This was not enough for the etsy case and they asked for more proof.
Of course, I instantly messaged my production partner, but since it was friday and they don't work during weekends, I requested until after the weekend to provide further proof, such as the shipping label.
I also had further questions, none of them were answered.
Then, on sunday, despite requesting more time and not having had my questions answered, and the fact that the product had been delivered to the customer on saturday, Etsy ruled the case against me without any sort of explanation, comment or even any information.
I then received the shipping label from my production partner and contacted Etsy Support about it. However, despite now having valid proof, they are adamant that the case has been ruled according to their policies, which is simply not true as I do have valid proof of shipping and they have now ended the discussion about this issue.
It clearly states on their website however, that if I have proof of shipment, which I do, cases can be revised and overturned.
Desired outcome: A refund from etsy to me of the money they've taken out of my balance for the refund they issued to the customer.

Etsy payment account reserve without cause or explanation
I recently started a small business selling my handmade jewellery on Etsy in October 2021, it's my first business and I'm still learning so I haven't has loads of sales yet. I made my 13th sale yesterday 26/03/2022 and today I received an email from Etsy telling me a payment account reserve of 75% has been placed on my account for 45 days with no cause and no explanation. All the reviews I have to date are 5 star, I always dispatch my orders earlier than stated in my processing times, I have never taken longer than 6 hours to reply to a customers message and I have never had any disputes, chargebacks or refunds. My products are all genuine handmade original designs and I have never had a listing removed or any intellectual property issues.
Why then has Etsy placed a reserve on my account when I have not violated any policies or had any payment or service issues?
I have sent them 6 emails to ask why they are withholding my funds and I can see all of those emails have been opened but ignored.
Is it normal for them to treat people this way? As I have committed no offense I feel like they owe me an explanation. I didn't receive any warning for this and the only details in the email are just informing me what percentage of my funds they have decided to withhold and for how long. A further paragraph states this is either happening because its my first sale (which it isn't) or because I have violated a policy and I should check to see if I have an email about violating policies which I don't because I haven't. I just want them to explain why they decided to do this, otherwise I will have to assume they are fraudulently withholding my funds.
It says they will release my funds if I provide tracking information but I offer free delivery (because etsy says I should offer free delivery) and tracked delivery costs more than my total profit per item. I have attached a screenshot of a list sent to me by Etsy of what I must do to stay in good stead, I already do everything on the list apart from providing free tracked delivery (there is an option for customers to purchase tracked delivery in my shop but I can't afford to offer free tracking) I feel like I'm being blackmailed into offering tracked delivery. Will etsy withhold my funds until I agree to make a loss on all of my sales for the sake or tracking?
Desired outcome: I would just like some customer service. A reply to my email explaining why they have decided to penalise me.
I'm with you here - seems May 2022 is the month the "integrity team" are washing over sellers like a wave, sweeping all of your success away. Etsy's a sweat shop run on OUR inventory and investment, OUR labor, OUR integrity, OUR taxes - They closed 2 of my family's shops one on 5-2-22 and other 5-17-22 no reason given, every single listing deactivated so I can't even save nor search them. This is MY company and inventory, and they owe the very basic courtesy of giving me full access until they provide ample proof of a policy violation. I spoke with attorney and brought up this monopoly's LACK of regulatory policies siding with their bread-and-butter sellers. I am so angry. If my violation is carrying vintage amber embedded in silver rings and earrings (not teething necklaces or amber chips nor beads) - then Etsy is still SUPER over-reacting. Of 1200 listings, I have maybe 30 pieces with amber - that surely is worthy of the most severe of punishments and permanent banishment from ever selling OR buying on Etsy ever again! Sellers have zero rights, you are smack on when you talk about JOB security! It is my $40k investment in my business that gives them their billions and they need to shape up and respect that! Someone in online commerce, somewhere out in the world PLEASE HELP US!

I have purchased several items that are promised by a certain date. After purchasing, I’m informed that these items will be delivered at a much later timeframe. I reached out to a seller about a due date and they claimed they had to hand make the item. When it arrived, it was clearly not handmade.

I have closed my account and done with a platform that doesn’t provide help when it’s needed to the buyer.

This cabinet was sent back to the shipper by fedex. I sent the shipper that information and asked that he send me another replacement cabinet that is packaged in a more sturdy box. I like the small white cabinet that arrived and therefore still want the large black one. The seller said I had to pay the shipping price again. I called the federal express number and they said customs sent notice to the seller that he was missing paperwork and the seller never responded to customs so the cabinet was sent back. The seller refunded me the purchase price but I was out the $125.00 shipping costs. Beware of where that Etsy item is coming from. It came from Turkey.

I ordered an item (Kit Kintsugi with Gold and Silver included. DIY) on Feb 5th. The estimated delivery date was Feb 24th. On 4th Mar, I contacted the seller (Mary Johnson) on Etsy to inform that my order was not here yet. I got a reply that they will look into it. Then I waited again. On 10th March, I get an email from Etsy informing that my order was delivered. But I never received it. Not even my neighbours, I checked the tracking order, it reached the sorting center in Penang, that was it. On the same day, I informed the seller again. The seller replied they will checked with Etsy. On Mar 13th, I messaged the seller again, but no reply. So I opened a case on the same day with Etsy. Today (Mar 14th) I get an email from Etsy saying they have closed the case because my order has been delivered.
I was so frustrated. I then chatted with Etsy and spoke to Justine today (14 Mar, Malaysian time, 1 pm). He/she finally just said that I should speak to the seller and the shipping company. I asked for the shipping company used or the signature of image proof of the delivery. Nothing could be provided. They just use the typed in information in their system that the item was delivered, and stop there. Now the seller has gone silent and there is no way for me to know which shipping company in Malaysia to contact. It is not my duty as the buyer in the first place, to do all this tracking. I am so disappointed.
Desired outcome: I want my refund of RM148 for the item I never received plus another RM150 that I had to spend to get another gift on time because of Etsy.

March 4th 2022, ordered thru Etsy a linen top. Money deducted from my bank account same day. Have yet to receive any confirmation of order having been received by seller, or any confirmation from Etsy about the transaction. I have no info about who the seller is, but my money but my money is now in the hands of someone unknown, as yet.
My bank account shows that the money has been deducted from my account but there is no record of who r3ceived the money. I would assume that Etsy keeps records of all sellers and will hopefully know who received the funds that I sent. Thank you.

On 1/18/22 I ordered a Queen sized Duvet Cover from Feels Great Home Decor. It was described as being constructed of cotton/polyester material. It was delivered on 2/8/22. The top of the duvet was not cotton/polyester but a microfiber. (They have since changed the description on their site). I contacted Zoe on 2/8/22 as soon as I saw the duvet and asked for a refund since the description was not as advertised, and she refused. It clearly says on their site that they would accept returns for everything but intimate items. I would not consider a duvet cover an intimate item. In addition the construction was poor using a basting length stitch for construction and the microfiber top layer was factory made. This is definitely not anything that I would expect to be sold on Etsy. I was leaving on vacation the next day, and this is the first chance I have had to address this issue. I would like a refund. Enova home flower arrangements
On Jan. 25th I placed an order for 5 flower arrangements. Received the arrangements on Jan. 31st. They were not the ones I ordered. I called the shipper, explained the situation & a gentleman said he would be happy to make the exchange when I returned the unwanted flowers. I returned the unwanted order on Feb. 1st thru FedEx. FedEx said that they would be delivered by Feb. 7th. FedEx lost the package, and it was found and finally delivered on Feb. 14th. I included all my necessary personal information along with the order number and to date I have not heard from anyone. I needed these arrangements for a women's luncheon. When they were not forth coming, I ordered another 5 flower arrangements. I believe that when I was inquiring about the unresolved order, a message kept coming up that my order was received on Feb. 17th. That was relating to the 2nd flower order.

Etsy Star Seller is flawed
Sellers need 19/20 reviews in any review session to get 95% reviews to qualify for a "Star Seller" status (the purple star icon).
Reviews are far and few in between. Lower the floor.

After paying for a “5 night vacation” out of pocket, now they’re telling me that I already used it, and won’t give me my money back. Hate it when people steal your money without working for it. But what goes around comes around.

I purchased an item, made the payment. The seller shipped with some foreign shipping company which then transferred the package to USPS. I received a notice on my door that I had to sign for the item, or I could enter the tracking # on USPS website and have them leave the item without a signature. After multiple attempts to get the tracking information from the seller, and contacting Etsy for assistance, I never received anything. Nothing. I assume the item was returned but since it took nearly 6 weeks to even get to the USPS here, I can't imagine how long it took for it to be returned. I complained and wrote a review but it was deleted by Etsy because I can't complain about the random shipping company the seller decided to ship with. THEY can't be held responsible for their poor choice in shipping companies. So I am out $, a ton of time, and will never again use ETSY for any reason, and will actively encourage others not to use it as well. Why is the purchaser punished because the seller is incompetent, and refuses to provide tracking information on items?
Desired outcome: I wanted my money returned, or Etsy to step in and require the shipper to provide the tracking #, abide by fair general practices. I wanted some type of confirmation that the item was returned to the seller. ANYTHING!
Discrimination against our listing [kwiketo]
Hi everyone,
We started working with Etsy since October 2021 and during this time we were able to made a lot of sales internationally. We offered outstanding customer service and free shipping within the UK. Recently our listings have been removed twice from Etsy unfairly based on not being compliant with their rules and regulation and their definition of a handmade product. We have check all of these rules and we are completely in accordance to these rules.
We are a keto snack box company based in the UK and we are selling our one-off boxes via third-party websites as well as our own Shopify store. What we do is we hand-pick a combination of different type of keto snacks that can go together based on a monthly selection of sweet and savory snacks as a one-off box with different themes based on flavors and types of products.
Despite our effort to explain that there are very similar companies with very similar product types being listed on Etsy, our listings have been removed unfairly and we do not see why.
This is indeed something that goes against Section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (regulated by Ofcom in the UK) that sets out the 'Public Sector Equality Duty' whereby an online public authority must, in the exercise of its functions, have due regard to the need to:
(a) eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation and any other conduct that is prohibited by or under the Equality Act 2010.
In other words, any rules and regulation set out by a company to be imposed on another company must be deemed to be reasonable and such measures shall be transparent, non-discriminatory and proportionate, and shall not be based on commercial considerations.
No to mention, discrimination occurs when you are treated less favourably than another person in a similar situation and this treatment cannot be objectively and reasonably justified.
Despite all of this they just keep sending us generic replies regarding our items not being made by us which is not true and can be also applied to a very similar keto snack box on Etsy.
