car vibrations
I went to Mavis discount tire located in upper glens street, new york. I told them my car is vibrating whenever i am going above 50mph so they replaced my all 4 tires. I took a test drive and the problem was still there. I went back to them so they diagnose my car again and found that it was their mistake because they did not do the tire balancing because they forgot to calibrate their machine. So they balanced my tires then again i took a test drive and my car was still vibrating. I went back to them again and this time they said your tires are balanced but you have a problem with struts. So this time they replaced all 4 struts. Same thing happened i took a test drive and car was still vibrating. I went back to them again and thia time they said your rear steel rim is bad so i ordered rim and this time they said we dont have time and they were very rude. So i go to walmart and get my rim replaced. But again my issue was not resolved. My car is still vibrating eventhough i have spent 1300 dollars. I told them i have to go Canada please get my car fixed but their attitude was very bad so in the end i have to rent enterprise car to go Canada. Please tell me what should i do, they failed to properly diagnose my car and cost me thousandsof dollar and still my car is not fixed.

purchased new snow tires, but regular tires were never put in car.
On Friday November 16th, my daughter dropped her car off for a Saturday morning pick up to have 4 new snow tires put on in the East Greenbush/Rensselaer NY store. She made sure to mention that she wanted to keep the 4 tires being replaced. Those tires were not placed in her car and she was told they were in the trunk. I do not know the make or brand of the replaced tires. 215/50 R 17. I spoke with Joe 3xs yesterday being told he would call me back, he never called back, This morning, November 19th I called and spoke with Rodney, who told me he would look for them, Rodney did call back, asked me the brand and all I had to give him was the tire size being told again he would call back soon. This is unacceptable and I want those tires returned or a new comparable sized set for her 2017 Ford Focus
7th time calling 13:30 November 20th. Spoke to a different Manager named Ed. Ed had NO idea what I was talking about. So that means, Joe, Rodney and Ed have no idea where my daughters tires are, well they do know they were not placed in her car... So now I have to go over there on my time, instead of someone calling me back, saying it was a simple mistake on their part and that they will gladly make this right. Me saying I will go to another tire shop in the future means nothing. That is not the point. Unbelievable to give someone the run around like this. Also what good is this site if no one from corporate even bothers getting back to the customer? Maybe the Sorbaro's are to busy to pay attention to their customer base ? Unbelievable
Day 4 of trying to get in touch with someone who has more pull than the floor sweeper is proving futile to say the least. No I am waiting for the Store Manager to call me back. Screw this I will drive over there after work. I will drive over there after work and be nice and polite and listen to their psychobabble BS. Unbelievable.
Well I just had to call back again - 6th time calling and was told that there are so many tires to go through and most likely will not find them until tomorrow morning. For all that is holy just give me a matching size set and be done with it, this is insane. MAVIS never again

repairs 2004 chrystlar concorde sle
I dropped my car off the 2nd week in October to Mavis. I told them the car is leaking fluids, every 10 miles or so, I have to stop and refill. A.J. the mechanic, told me he would call me in a few days to discuss price etc.. He did call me and gave me an outstanding price saying the labor entailed 5 hours. I was not happy but needed to get the repairs done. 2 weeks later Patty, called me and said I need to pick my car up that the Manager wanted it gone. I asked how much do I owe you? Patty responded there is no charge. I went to pick up the car and noticed no work was done. I talked to Jesse, the Manager, and he said A.J. relayed that I didn't want to have the car fixed. So, once again I was told they would call me when it was ready. It was a little over a week and Patty reached out to me again. This time she was very rude and yelling on my voicemail. I called Mavis back and was very upset over this message left for me. I was put on hold till the Manager came on the phone. I told him I had an er at my phone and didn't appreciate what was said. Manager apologised and took money off my bill so I would pay a little over 500.00. Two days later, I was dropped off at Mavis to get my car and they apologised and just charged me $400.00. I was leaving when I noticed the fluids were all drained out. I immediately went inside to get someone. Jesse had it put in the bay, about an hour later, I was told it needed to have a clamp tightened. So, yesterday after they did this I left in my car and once again it was leaking power steering flood worse then before. I called Mavis and he told me to bring it back in the am. Now this morning, Patty calls to see how I made out. She had no idea this happen and told Me AJ was off today Nov.10th. I still drove back down only to be told I needed to wait because they were calling AJ to come in and repair my vehicle. I sat their over 2 hours and was told it couldn't be done that I'd have to wait a few days for parts. I am furious because they were going to charge me again for labor when I already paid and this was not my fault so I said I will pay for the parts and have a friend of mine put it in my 2017 GMC Terrain. At that point, I canceled my appt to get new tires even after AJ said I only needed to pay for tires and he would put them on for free. I will never go there again after this and not recommend Mavis to service family/friends vehicles . I shouldn't be charged anything when this was not my fault.
flat repair
I went in at 9:20am for them to look for the hole in my tire and fix it.. at 12:31 pm they pulled my truck out and said the tech had a hard time finding an issue, and replaced the valve stem... I paid and left.. 30 minutes later and my tire is about flat again. I took soap and water to my tire and found the hole myself.. so I called our office and he said bring it back, I asked if I wld have to wait another 3 hours, and he said he couldn't guarantee what the wait time wld be.. I said can I bring it in tomorrow, he said yes be here when we open at 8am...rudely no less.. I will never come back to this store again..(while I was sitting there for the 3 hours, I listened to his phone calls from other customers, and apparently others have had nothing but problems as he got snippy with a few others too)..
unfair treatment and unprofessional
I was #2 customer and they took # 3 & 4 before me with no explanation except that they only had a tire to be changed. I waited from 830 to 910 for the first tire . and i was told i was after that but then #4 customer came in with a tire to be changed and they took her before me. This was a followup because after they replaced front and back brakes and rotors, i complained that i heard the same noise as before the repair was done by them. They said that my work would take longer than a tire change. but was I to wait there all day for people coming in with tire changes?
After I was irate after second person with tire change going before me, they said that their 1 worker did not do brakes . I asked him why he didn't tell me that at 8am and I could have come back when the other mechanic showed up. But I do not believe him because that worker came in waiting area to tell #1 customer that he needed front brakes and a motor for his power windows! last week I brought my sons car and they lost his caps to tire valve & my son insisted they give him 4 new ones after they gave him a non-matching one. They told him he was breaking their chops . I feel they treated me badly today in retaliation for the insistence of my son for matching caps. I told them I was going to Hyundai and if that noise is related to what they did I would expect them to pay the bill or I will see them in court.

car check engine light
On June 29, 2018 I had my car (2001 Nissan Maximum) tow to the Wade Green, Acworth GA location due to the check engine light on and it kept cutting off and on. I paid for a Diagnostic and was told what was on my invoice receipt they said that was the problem. When I pick my car up on July 3, 2018 they said your car is running good. When I got home my car check engine light came on and the car was not running right. I called Kaufmann Tire Co back and informed them I paid $1500 and my car is still not fix. They informed me I need to get a battery and I brought a battery from your company and that didn't have anything to do with the car being fixed especially when the check engine light came on. I got two estimates on my check engine light with codes p0505 and p0420. Your company didn't show no proof of codes of work being done. After talking to two mechanic and showing them my receipt of work done, they both feel I was rip off by your company and they should have shown me codes on my receipts.
At my first court appearance I didn't have a mechanic to speak on my behalf, but now I do when I go and file an appeal.
I was told by Mr. William that Mr. Steven Regional Manager told them don't repair car and no refund. This is poor customer service.
I feel your company should be reliable for placing parts on my car and didn't fix the problem.

damage to my auto
On Oct 26, 20018, I brought my car to Mavis discount tire service station in West Nyack, New York. on route 303. I had a flat tire (which I had purchased at same location) to be fixed and a alignment . Upon completion I notice a dent in my trunk that I am sure was not there when I brought it in. It was on top of trunk deck on the edge. I brought it to the attention of cashier ( who would not give me his name) He got the manager and after 40 minutes he returned and stated he looked at camera footage and did not see any obvious actions, so he could do nothing. At that point they could not find my keys and I waited longer. After leaving, I noticed my car pulling to the left towards oncoming traffic. I immediately brought it to a independent mechanic and he verified the pulling to the right. Mechanic was owner of Honda medic in Valley Cottage, NY
I have police stickers on my car and believe this was reason for dent and misalignment

so it sounded reasonable and i approved the job
6 hours later was waiting for parts to come
finally the job was done now i go to pay and nick hits me with a bill of 706.00 w.T.F. He told me 3 times that it was going to cost $300.00 plus tax
now he tells me it was $300.00 for the front & $300.00 for the back
this was not told to me in the beginnig! i had no other choice but to pay the $706.00 i paid with my master card so i can dispute the $330.00 more that he charged me.
The next i called mavis home office and i spoke to a lady and told her my story she said that a lady named samantha would call me 2 days later she calls me i told her what happend she said she check the audio/video recordings and get back to me its now been 3 and half weeks since than and guess what never heard from her!

bad oil change
To whom this letter may concern:
I Tina Ramsey receive a oil change on or around 09/10/18 at one of your locations (Beacon NY). Since getting that only change my car is no longer driveable. The put the wrong oil which is required for my 2009 BMW 328i. My vehicle requires 7 quarts of oil they only gave me 5 quarts. Last but not least the cap was not properly. All this has caused damage to the vehicle / motor to where it is no longer driveable. Being Im the consumer and thinking everything was done properly. I drove around until one day all these lights popped up in my vehicle and the car just completely stopped running. Now this is going to cost me at least a couple of thousand to get fixed. I can have my mechanic write up everything to the exact. If preferred Mike can be reached at [protected]. Im writing to you to see what coporate is going to or can do before I have to take further action. Im hoping to here back sooner or later. I can be reached at [protected] or [protected]@gmail.com
brake quote and final invoicing
Dear Mr. Sorbaro: I just returned from a two week business and personal trip. This trip included driving 1800 miles. The week prior to this trip I called Mavis Tire in Wall NJ to see if I can get a quote for replacing brakes and rotors and sensors. Mavis provided me an estimate of $852.92.(see Attachment) I then stopped by to make sure that they can do the brakes on my car and the manager informed me that Mavis Wall can and that he needed to see the car to do another estimate. I gave him the details of the car since it was there with me when I stopped in.
I schedule an appointment for Monday of that week and dropped the car off. Later in the day I received a called that they cant do the brakes in the Wall office because they didn't have the correct tools. Even though the manager said they do Audis, BMW's and Mercedes.
He called your Toms River location in NJ and they said they can do it. I went there dropped the car off and gave them the estimate to perform the work. I dropped the call off on a Wednesday night and then had to go back Thursday because I left the wrong keys. That day I had a charity golf event to attend. About 10 AM the office manager called me and told that he can do the car but the estimate was incorrect and he could not do the car for less than $1, 800.00 dollars twice as much . Now Considering this is Thursday I am not there and I was leaving the following Monday for my trip I had no choice but to pay the difference. The manager did drop the price a little using 3rd party parts. Now including tax it was only $1.599.38 dollars.
see attachment
I believe that Mavis should provide me with a store credit for the difference since it was there mistake on the estimate and also that I had to go to two different locations within the same week for this service.
I am sure down the road I will need tires or another brake job. Even thought the brakes have a lifetime warranty. I assume that includes labor.
Please let me know what you can do for me for this inconvenience and misquotation.
Thank You for looking into this matter.

appointment made - waited an hour - no tire
I had requested a price match from mavis. I was contacted by someone from phone number [protected] at 10:15 am on 10/21 and told they would price match it and made an appointment for me to go to my local center at 2060 forest ave, staten island new york for 3:00 pm today october 22. I was also called by the center itself at 11:#3 am on october 21 to confirm my appointment and pricing.
I showed up for my appointment at 3:12 pm, was logged in at 3:20 pm and told it would be about 40 minutes. I waited approximately an hour and was called to the counter to be told that they did not have the tire in stock.
Is it policy to check that a tire is there after a customer is sitting there for an hour? common sense prevailing, shouldn't they have checked to see if the tire was there upon my arrival? i lost 2 hours of work, and i bill out at $150/hr, so basically mavis tires cost me $300 today and i still do not have a tire or a solution. Someone needs to contact me immediately.
Thank you

tire change
I've never had an issue until I visited the Mavis discount tire location in Hillside Nj.
On 10/21/2018 i went in to have my tires replaced. Fred was professional until a problem occurred by the service man Naresh. After the service was complete, I noticed that one of my hubcaps wasn't identical to the remaining 3. Instead of Fred being a professional and doing all that he could to correct the problem, he quickly told me that he could NOT help me and sat my keys on the counter! Even after Naresh admitted to working on two cars at once. This is not how a loyal customer should be treated! I will never visit this location or any other location again!
west nyack location (formerly sts tire)
I called the Haverstraw office on Sunday to ask if they could do a tuneup, oil change, and check the battery and my tires. The person in that office told me he cannot do a tuneup but referred me to the office in West Nyack. He called ahead to make sure they could complete the services I needed and the person told him yes to bring it in. I brought it to the West Nyack office and told the person at the front desk that they just called from the other office and I needed a tuneup and oil change and for him to check my tires and check my battery. The man walked us outside. He checked the tires and he said the tires were fine. Then a few minutes later the tech bought the car inside to do the rest of the work. At one point I heard my horn blowing and I looked up because I have an air horn so I knew it was my car. The technicians-the one that was in the front desk and one of the others from the back were repeatedly blowing my horn and they were laughing. I got my car back I found out they only did an oil change but no tune up, and they supposedly did check the battery. I asked if they did the tuneup and he said that requires changing the spark plugs. I told the guy I know that but don't worry about it I will just take it another time. I paid and then we left. I realize a little while later that my horn was not working so we called back. The man who answered told me that maybe it is the relay so we should bring it back. When I bought it back the technician whose name was Kevin said he only did an oil change. That he didn't do anything to the horn. He said that he realized the horn wasn't working when he drove it around. I told him that's not true because they were blowing the horn while the horn was inside the bay when they were working on it. I heard it and saw them laughing. So YES the horn WAS working when I bought it in and now it is not. I showed him by trying to blow the horn and nothing happened. He told me that there's nothing that they could do while he stood drinking his coffee. I told him whoever answered the phone told me to bring it back said they were going to check the relay. Or maybe he disconnected it when he checked the battery. I had to suggest that he actually open the hood to see if he can see what the problem is because it was working before as evident by them blowing it repeatedly and now it is not. He seemed to reluctantLt open the hood and closed it almost immediately and said that there was nothing they did to break it and that there was nothing that they could do. He refused to do anything else. I called the number on the top of the receipt and spoke to someone. She said she would forward my information to one of the regional managers and he should call the next day. I received a message from James on Tuesday but his mailbox is full when I try to call him back. I'm stuck with a non-working horn and can't seem to find out what to do next. This is totally unacceptable and I'm so aggravated with this situation.
customer service
I just want to start off by saying I generally don't like to complain about anything. The manager Joe was so arrogant and condescending in how he spoke to me. I know my car needs work but that doesn't give anyone the right to speak to me in such a way. To be blunt he reminded of Trump with the air of arrogance. I declined the service even though I needed it. I ended up going to Mr. Tire to get my brakes done. I just want good customer service.I work very hard and I don't have to give my money to just anybody. A little respect goes a long way. Unfortunately I will not be bringing my car to Mavis anymore.
Please have management understand that customer service is everything.
over charged
Hi I was charged for tire removal and I took home the old tires as well I was charged for a new left rear valve stem which was not replaced because I have an air pressure relay in that rim that was installed by mavis
I know this is chump change but it is not good business
I realize you folks are very busy
But as nice as your employees are they really are not

toyota fj cruiser lifted - alignment
For over 5 years I have been doing wheel balancing and alignment with Mavis located in Islandia NY. At one time my alignment Tie rods was damaged by the manager on duty that day but he denied having done it. According to him the ends were not checked before the alignment commenced. As a result I was made to pay for the repairs.
To my greatest surprise I went to do alignment there last Saturday being 6th of October and they refused to do the alignment for me telling me that my car is lifted and their machine was designed for standard operations only.
My point is WHY HAVE YOU BEEN CHARGING ME AND NOT DOING THE ALIGNMENT AND ARE YOU READY TO REFUND ME ALL THE MONEY YOU HAVE EXTORTED FROM ME?
My information is Evaristus Opara, [protected] Email: [protected]@gmail.com
Looking forward to hearing from you
brakes
Hello, In the beginning of this year I went to My local Mavis to have my brakes checked. I was told I needed new brakes and rotors, which I figured, so I agreed for the work to be done. I paid around $760 for this service which I was told was with the special they were offering. The work was done and my brakes squeaked a lot for quite awhile after they were put in so when my oil was getting changed (around 3 months after my brakes were done) at my local Toyota I asked them to check out my brakes. They informed me that my brakes were fine, they were just squeaking because Mavis had used a highly metallic pad but otherwise fine. Two months after that my car started pulsating when I applied my brakes at any speed above 40 mph. So I brought my car back to Mavis, explained to them my issue and left my car for them to check. I was called a few hours later and told my calipers were bad and needed to be replaced. I had a very hard time believing this because of the fact my car is not that old and was just inspected two months prior and everything was fine. To give you some history on my car for context of clarity, I had gotten my car brand new in 2014. About a year after I purchased it, my car was doing the same thing it's doing now, brakes pulsating at speeds above 40. I took my car back to Toyota as it was under warranty and was told my rotors needed to be resurfaced. They were resurfaced and never had the issue again. This was free of charge as my car was under warranty. When I told the mechanic at my Mavis this on this recent encounter he stood by his option that my calipers are bad. Today, 10/10/18 I took my car to Toyota to get a brake inspection and I am told that my calipers are fine, they showed me that my rotors are warped and need to be replaced. Since they are not Toyota products, they won't work on them and they recommend getting new brakes all the way around. So now I am once again paying just under $800 to get my brakes done because Mavis of Brick will not stand by their product and honor my brake warranty. I was also told by Toyota that if I brought it back to Mavis and they did fix the problem, it will only continue to happen because of the aftermarket products Mavis uses. I would greatly appreciate a response back so we can resolve this issue. My name is [removed] and my email is [protected]@gmail.com and cell number [removed]. Thank you.
state inspection
I was down at my family's for the weekend and needed an inspection so I figured I would stick to Mavis where I've been taking my car since I've had it. Not this Mavis but the one in dutchess County. I had no idea of the price difference and they should have let me know the difference in price bc honestly I would have waited and done it up my way. Its not right and they should have honored my county's price or let me know. Also, they left grease on my fabric seats and left their paper mat with their dirty footprints. I want to be reimbursed somehow
