pharmacy
It is a continuing problem of them not having product available to fill our prescriptions. We didn't used to have the problem when the store did there own ordering and not corporate. We continually have to make extra trips in to pick up prescriptions the next day or after because they don't have the product. if they weren't a preferred pharmacy for our insurance we would be going elsewhere.

6/24/19 Problem: My cashier, forgot to take off my coupons before she had completed the transaction. She indicated that I could go to the Service Desk to have them process my coupons that it would not be an issue. There was only one worker at the Service desk, no supervisors in sight anywhere. The service desk worker, William was extremely slow. I was told...

I was wanting to get mulch and the garden center wasn't open, supposed to be open at 8am, I was there at 8:15 am. An employee called someone and they said it would be open at 8: 30. I waited til 8:45 and still no one, so I left and got my mulch from ace hardware. Bad for business. If they didn't have someone the manager should have rectified it, or came out themselves.

As a Meijer customer since the local store opened I have always paid by check. Recently a was a victim of fraud, no fault of my own, and had to close my Regions Bank checking account and open a new account. Having written several checks with no problems, I was surprised, but understanding when last week my check was rejected at Meijer store #137 and advised to contact Telecheck. I went to my Regions Bank branch and the manager called Telecheck to explain the situation. While on speaker, we both talked with a representative who took all of my information and was told there would be no problem in the future. Problem solved - NOT! Today I was again in the same store and my check was REJECTED AGAIN. I was told there was nothing they could do and "obviously" the bank did not release their hold! The Bank has Nothing to do with the situation other than to assist me with the problem! Back to the bank branch and another call to Telecheck, only to be informed that there was NO RECORD of our initial call last week! We were "guaranteed" that it is now corrected! As a 70 year old widow who has never had anything like this happen, do you know how embarrassing it was to have this happen twice and to feel like your employees, who know me as a regular customer, could care less? My question to you is this a normal situation with Telecheck and is this the way you want your customers treated? AND what do you suggest I do when next week I write another check and it is again rejected. FYI I have been written to WalMart, CVS, Target, Fresh Thyme, etc. with NO problem! Maybe Meijer should take another look at Telecheck. I would very much appreciate receiving a reply to this message.

rude cashier
Renee O. was my cashier, she was very slow and VERY talkative to every one. Was very rude to me cause I told the lady behind she should find a faster lane. I told someone else that got in line, too. She yelled at me "What's your problem?" I ignored her. Told her when I FINALLY got up there she was SLOW, she responded it was the computers fault, NOT. I heard stories of her grandfathers health problems while she checked out the lady in front of me. When she was done with me, she said " was that fast enough for you", I said cause I wouldn't engage you in small talk. Shop at Meijer every week and have NEVER been so rudely treated.
cashier rude and lazy to a senior lady
On 6/25/19 @ approx. 1pm I was behind a senior lady in the checkout lane. The senior lady had 3 cloth Meijer bags for her groceries. Shannon, the cashier, tried to put all the items, including 2 half gallons of milk and a gallon of ice cream, into two bags. The senior lady asked the cashier to use the third bag so the rest wouldn't be too heavy. The cashier complied. When the sale was completed the cashier just stood there & watched the senior lady muscle the bags into her cart. I don't believe this is the type of customer service Meijer is aiming for.
steak and spinach salad
Of all the premade salads you used to offer, the Steak and Spinach is the one that I preferred over any else. Not only have you discontinued carrying it, you doubled on the display for two other salads. One of which you have since reduced the display back to one.
But you still don't carry the Steak and Spinach salads.
I just wanted to let you know. For this customer, no sale.
service and training of employees
Hello Meijer, The last thing I wanted to do toady is complain about the Knapp Corner Meijer. Along with thousands, I am a regular customers that purchases nearly over $2, 000 dollars annually. Several issues have been reoccurring for many months to over a year now. The attitude of several employees have made it extremely difficult to have a pleasant...

I shop at Meijers in Muncie Indiana. I love the asiago bagels. Every other time I want them they are out! Can't they keep them in stock? It beats me why you need 350 words to make a complaint. My complaint is as clear as it can be. I guess it would be the management's fault that the computer can not see when a store is out of stall of an item. I now have at least 350 words!
parking lot safety
These carts have been in the Monroe Meijer parking lot for at least 3 months. They are covering a grate that has sunk or something . Depending on what type of vehicle parks near it you often have to travel in the oncoming traffic lane while avoiding pedestrians. Is it going to take a serious accident or injury before action is taken? CUSTOMER SAFETY!
customer service representative
To Whom It May Concern:
Recently, my mother-in-lawn and I made a trip to the Meijer store in Cadillac, Michigan. I was visiting from out of town, had received a large and heavy gift from a relative which, unfortunately, wouldn't fit in my suitcase. Returning it was the only viable solution.
Fortunately, we had been provided with a gift receipt from the buyer-- my mother-in-law's sister. When we approached the customer service desk on the morning of Friday, June 14th (between 10 a.m.-12 p.m.), we noted the shortness and rudeness of the customer service clerk, but couldn't hear details of the preceding interaction. When it was our turn, we spoke with this same store representative-- Amy. It was explained to her that we received a nice gift from family that unfortunately wouldn't fit in our luggage, and that we would like to return it, using the gift receipt that was handed to her. Seemingly unhappily, Amy processed the return, then replied, "the amount went back to the credit card that it was purchased on" without a smile or so much as any eye contact. My mother and law and I were both shocked. We explained that we did not wish for the amount to be refunded to the purchaser's card, as we were hoping to keep it a secret from our generous relative. We were met with a curt: "You should have said that before I processed the return." When we asked if there was anything that could be done to reverse this, we were told that it was already done.
We understand that the policy is to usually process refunds by putting the amount back on the original card, and this certainly makes sense for returns that are not gifts. However, it seems extremely odd that we were not informed that, even when we were NOT the purchasers of a gift/holders of the credit card, of the policy beforehand. We both thought it extremely odd that we would not AT LEAST be ASKED if we would like: a) the money refunded back to the original payment method, b) store credit that we could use at the store. Even if not asked, perhaps we could be merely informed that most refunds are processed back to the original payment method. If that were the ONLY option (which it does not seem to have been), we would have kept the gift so as not to incur harmed feelings from our thoughtful family member. Perhaps company-wide retraining is needed to make at least one of the two suggestions (above) obligatory for all returns, as it is for most major stores in America.
Furthermore, perhaps Amy specifically could use some retraining in customer relations. We understand that her job can be a difficult one; however, that is no excuse to speak to customers with such a discourteous, terse, and uncivil tone of voice. This is especially true when the customers are behaving in a kind and civil manner (side note: though I may be biased, my mother-in-law is one of the most courteous, kind-hearted people that I have ever met, and in no way deserved such harsh treatment). I have never felt the need to write a complaint about any person working at any store, but felt that this interaction needed addressing. If you need to receipt number, please inform and I would be happy to inquire about it and respond back.
Sincerely,
Brittany Regts

My apologies for posting this here. I guess I was unaware of what this forum was. Was hoping to speak directly to the Meijers corporate office. Please disregard this post, and I seem unable to delete it.
Also, my apologies for writing the name of the store clerk on this public post. Was not my intention to make any of this public.
service/checkout
My husband and I shopped this afternoon, 6/14/2019 at 13:40:01 was our check out time. We were at your store #175 and Gage checked us out. Shelves were not stocked very well lots of holes. We stood in line of 15 to check out. They had 5 lines open besides the self check out counters that we refuse to use. If we are checking ourselves out then we need to get lower prices as I am doing the work of an employee. We were told that corporate had downsized hours. Well I am telling you that waiting in line is not an option. Besides the fact that we that don't use computers for everything get penalized for not having MPerks. You just need to lower you prices and forget about coupons and MPerks. I am tired of not being able to get more name blands. I don't like alot of the Meijer blands.

Pharmacy counter pharmacy policy
You make some allergy medications where you have to go to the pharmacy counter to get the medication the average wait was almost 35 minutes the line had 22 people in it it was ridiculous, myself and others walked away.
I will never fill a prescription there and I'm debating whether I even want to shop there anymore
Meyer store Central Avenue Sylvania Toledo area
pizza/deli area
This has been the second time we went to Meijers and wanted to order a pizza and there was nobody working in that area. The lights were turned off like it was closed. I talked to a guy working in the deli section and he said there's nobody working over there and they have 2 people working by him. I don't understand why advertise when there's nobody working. Just upset and disappointed since I like shopping at Meijers but now I'm not sure because the service is starting to slack.
meijer pharmacy
I don't understand why when my doctor calls a prescription into the pharmacy that it takes untill the next day to be ready. I know other pharmacies fill all prescriptions the same day. My doctors are not interested in writing out prescriptions anymore, but it's very inconvenient to wait an entire day for your prescription to get filled. Anyone's thoughts?
shotgun ammunition
Michigan State law says anyone that is 18 can purchase shotgun ammunition. I was just carded to make sure I was 21 (I'm 40 and look every minute of it) Apparently you have a policy only to sell to 21 and older. If I was still 18 I would be not shopping at your store any longer. This is age discrimination and I would find a lawyer. If I was 18 I can legally hunt. I can buy all my hunting supplies from your store AND a hunting license. So your going to tell an 18-20yo that they can't purchase a product but can get everything else to go along with it. You are the local store. 18-20 should have to drive an hour to buy something they can get locally. Also, Check the news, no one shoots up a place with shotgun shells. They work for bird and clay target. Ridiculous and I will no longer purchase anything from your store. Aldi's is a cross the street and Cabelas is near work. Say good bye to a $250 weekly grocery trip. I'll also make sure my friends know. Btw. Your rule isn't helping anything. Maybe if they were out shooting clay and squirrel, they wouldn't be killing people by throwing rocks off bridges. You sell bags of rocks and bricks too, do you have to be 21 to purchase those also.
cashiers
I'm not complaining, I'm trying to place a compliment. Nikki, was a great cashier. She was on self check and was very helpful. She was very cheery and made you feel important. You left feeling better than when you first got in the store. Helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make your shopping experience better. I was at the 100 Polaris Parkway Westerville, OH 43082-#181 store. Nikki was awesome!

service
Today, I stopped at my local Meijer on my way home from work at 5:55 pm. (15055 Hall road Utica MI, 48315) I walked in expecting to grab a few items I needed. To my surprise, there were no carts available. Not a single cart. Usually, by each entrance are 4 long rows of carts. 3 rows of large carts and 1 row of small carts. At lease 200 carts! But today, nothing! The entire space where carts are kept was empty! I turned to the door greeter and asked where are all the carts? She replied that management was aware, but no one was scheduled to pick up carts until 7pm, so if I wanted a cart, I would need to either go back out into the parking lot and fetch my own, or walk the entire length of the store, and hope that the other entrance had carts. Now I don't mind a little walk, but my heart went out to each of the elderly customers that walked in and not only couldn't grab a cart, but even the motorized carts were all gone! These golden customers are not always the most mobile, some with canes, some moving slow. To expect these elderly folks to hike down to the other end of the store, or dodge traffic in the parking lot to find a cart is just cruel. That cart area did not empty in a few minutes. It stores A LOT of carts, so someone just didn't care when they saw that carts were running low. It took some time for every single cart to be taken from that area. I grabbed a cart or 2 for some of these shoppers, but eventually had to make my own purchases and head home. After about 1/2 hour, approx 6:30pm, I checked out and headed for the same door I entered from. STILL no carts! I approached a manager and questions if she was aware. Her response was yes, but no one was scheduled, but some one would be there at 7pm to round up carts. All the while, watching elderly persons walk in and stand there helplessly confused as to where the carts and motorized carts are. The manager stood there talking to the greeter and another employee discussing what a shame it was that no-one was scheduled to get carts. 3 employees shaking their heads, and no one doing anything about it. Shame on you Meijer! I see 3 Meijer employees standing there watching, and I see caring customers running outside to grab 2-3 carts to hand off to these elderly customers. Your manager couldn't put down her clipboard and run out into the parking lot to grab a few carts for 10 minutes? No other employee in the store could be pulled to round up a few carts? Maybe an employee from a few different departments could have each gone out for just 10mins each to pick up a few carts and then return to their department. Meijer, you really gave yourself a black eye tonight. The customer always comes first, and our precious seniors deserve better treatment than they received tonight. Your manager needs to learn how to handle staffing and how to pitch in when needed. Shame on you tonight.
Maybe someone could have walked down to the other end of the store and walked 10-20 carts over to the entrance with no carts, for the elderly customers.
