Was a loyal user from day 1, but has now decided to move to Lazada.
Recently purchased a certified premium, advertised as "made in Italy" product from shopee.
Item arrived as "made in China" instead. I am ok with made in china product but felt a bit cheated.
Edited my review for seller, giving a lower rating while waiting for exchange.
In the end, seller refused exchange to a "made in Italy" product and asked me to just refund and move on.
I approached Shopee for help which they declined but advised me take the refund, then report the seller for fraud/misleading marketing/product and shopee will take stern action.
I reported the seller, while also requested Shopee to allow me to edit my review to share the truth.
1 month on, my request to edit review was rejected multiple times, and no action was taken against seller.
Product still advertised as "made in Italy".
I approached Shopee again and was promised that the matter will be escalated and updates given in 1-3 days time.
1 week later, no news no updates, i suddenly realised my review for seller has been removed. There was no prior notification or email about this removal.
Seller now has perfect rating for the product. Checking further, my past enquries with shopee, records of conversation with agents were removed too.
Call Shopee to escalate the matter, agent refused to pass the call to a supervisor, and promised follow-up again. This moment i realised what i have suspected all along, Shopee will not intervene and risk offending the seller.
For Shopee to stoop to this by removing my review and enquires, then sweeping the whole matter under the carpet is just too much.

Disappointing Experience with Shopee's Customer Service and Seller Standards
I'm giving Shopee a rating from 1 to 10, and unfortunately, my rating is quite low. I've had a terrible experience with their customer service team, whether it's through email, chat, or dispute support. The staff seems to be very incompetent and in dire need of training.
The process of resolving a simple case takes an incredibly long time, usually around 3 to 5 days. The process of returning or refunding orders is also quite unclear and contradictory. It feels like their process is more anti-customer and more focused on protecting bogus or scam sellers.
Shopee has technology like an app and email, but it seems like their staff is not trained to use these resources properly. Communication within the team members of the chat, email, and dispute team is also very poor and lacking.
Shopee needs to level up their standards of accepting sellers. There are a lot of bogus sellers who deliver incomplete items, and it's not just a one-time mistake. It happens to 2, 3, or even 4 customers. Shopee doesn't seem to be doing anything to investigate these sellers. After the refund, they even convert your refunded money into Shopee pay, which is a ridiculous policy. A Shopee employee informed me about this policy, and there's no way I'm going to use this app again.
Overall, my experience with Shopee has been very disappointing. I wish there was an option to give zero or negative stars.
Shopee Review: Disappointing Quality, Inaccurate Sizing, and Poor Customer Service
Shopee is a platform that is advertised as a place where you can purchase all sorts of items, including football jerseys. However, I have found that the jerseys advertised on Shopee are often not even recognized or authorized jerseys by the clubs Shopee purports to represent. They are fakes. It is quite disappointing to see that Shopee's pages are filled with unauthorized jerseys. Additionally, even the jerseys which are recognized club jerseys are not OEM jerseys but are knock offs made in Thailand or elsewhere.
One of the biggest issues I have faced with Shopee is the sizing of the jerseys. Out of 6 jerseys I ordered from 3 different shops on Shopee, all jerseys were incorrect sizes. The online jerseys for sale will show sizes, such as XL is purported to be 56-58 cm chest. When XL jerseys were received, their actual measurement was 52cm (which is a Medium size according to the website), even though the actual labels inside the jersey stated the jerseys were XL. This is quite frustrating as it is difficult to know what size to order when the sizing is so inaccurate.
When trying to obtain a refund for these jerseys, the seller is allowed to make a counter offer to your request for a full refund. For instance, I requested a refund of 841PHP. The seller counter-offered at 1 PHP. How outrageous is this? It is quite frustrating to see that Shopee allows sellers to make such ridiculous counter offers.
Overall, I will never use Shopee again. They are a complete rip-off. I have ordered numerous jerseys, household goods, etc from Lazada and they are normally acceptable and/or good quality and very efficient with returns and refunds. It is quite disappointing to see that Shopee does not have the same level of quality and customer service as Lazada.
Shopee Review: Serious Issues with Sellers, Couriers, and Customer Service - Not Worth the Hassle
Shopee, man, let me tell you, they got some serious issues. I ain't even kidding, from the seller to the courier to the customer service rep, none of them got any honour. I ordered a bunch of stuff and almost all of it had some kind of problem. But when I tried to get some help, they just gave me the runaround. One seller didn't even send me one of the items I ordered, and instead of fixing it, they said they'd send it with my next order. But guess what? They lied! And don't even get me started on the courier, ENTREGO. They've had my stuff sitting in their hub for almost two months now and they still haven't delivered it. I've talked to their customer service reps, but all they do is give me some date that never happens. So I filed a complaint with the Dept of Trade & Industry, but even then, Shopee's risk management guy, Adam Lewis, told me my stuff was "lost in transit." But get this, their system doesn't even say that! Can you believe these guys? I just had another chat with a customer service rep and I sent them a copy of the email I got from the Dept of Trade & Industry, and I straight up told them their boss is a liar. The only reason I even buy stuff from Shopee is because of this pandemic, you know? I don't wanna risk my family's health by going out to the stores. But once we get through this, I ain't buying from Shopee or Lazada (I've had problems with them too) ever again. It's just not worth it, man.

Shopee's Supplier Cheated Me: No Headrests, No Refund!
So, I ordered some headrests for my van from Shopee on April 17, 2022. I paid for them and everything, but when I received my package on April 24, it was just a small pouch with one face mask inside! I was pretty upset about this, so I wrote to Shopee to complain and ask for a refund. The supplier's name was yq95_t23_c, by the way.
Anyway, the supplier disputed my complaint and told Shopee that they had shipped the item(s) and had proof of shipment. They also apologized for the delay and said they would send two packages - one with a small gift and the other with the headrests I had actually ordered. They said that if I received the gift, the headrests would arrive soon after.
Well, a few days went by and Shopee got back to me to say that their investigation had shown that the headrests I had ordered and paid for had not been delivered. They advised me to return the face mask I had received so that they could process the refund.
I didn't really see the point in returning the face mask since it wasn't worth much, so I asked if they could just process the refund without it. But Shopee didn't reply to me after that. The next thing I knew, the amount I had paid - P2,123.00 - was already on my credit card bill. Shopee hadn't refunded me at all!
It's now May 20, 2022, and I still haven't received the headrests I paid for. And to make matters worse, the supplier - yq95_t23_c - isn't responding to my messages in the Shopee chat box.
Honestly, I don't think Shopee can be trusted. And their suppliers seem to be cheating people left and right. I wouldn't recommend using this platform if you want to avoid getting ripped off.
Shopee Review: Beware of Scammers and Delivery Issues

But that's not even the worst of it. Just the other day, I had a seller tell me that an item had been delivered when it hadn't. So, I tried to message the seller and what did I get? A message saying "User has been banned or deleted." But here's the thing, the seller and the item were still listed on Shopee's site! So, I contacted Shopee and they told me that I hadn't asked for a refund within 3 days of the scheduled delivery date. But get this, the scheduled delivery date was YESTERDAY (15-2-22), according to my Shopee account. But according to the Shopee employee I spoke to, the delivery date was actually 12-2-22 and the purchase funds were released TODAY, 16-2-22, because I hadn't asked for a refund within 3 days of the delivery date (as shown on Shopee's end).
Now, I don't know about you, but that just doesn't seem right to me. Thankfully, I took screenshots of everything and recorded my conversation with Shopee. But honestly, customers shouldn't have to go to such extreme measures just to protect themselves. It's just not fair.
I'm waiting for Shopee's response now, but no matter what they say, it's clear that they have a problem with their system that scammers are taking advantage of. So, if you're thinking about using Shopee, just be careful. BEWARE!

When I contacted a Shopee agent about this, they told me that it could take up to 45 days for the refund to appear in my account. That's an incredibly long time to wait for a refund, and it's one of the reasons why I still give Shopee a low evaluation.

Shopee's 12.12 Sale: A Disappointing Experience with Shady Business Tactics and Poor Customer Service
Shopee was supposed to have a great deal on 12.12 where all sellers would have a minimum of RM12 free shipping. However, on that day, they started changing all the vouchers to RM12 shipping vouchers, even if you had a RM40 one. But when I tried to purchase some items, the shipping voucher couldn't be applied because apparently, the voucher couldn't be applied to those items. What nonsense is that?! Then there are those overseas sellers giving away vouchers to claim. After claiming and waiting in anticipation for 12.12 to arrive and purchasing using vouchers for each seller, they came back and told me that the vouchers were not for this platform. Some even lied and said they were out of stock or the item was not in good condition to be sold, and asked me to cancel and refund. I went on Shopee chat and chatted with Shopee customer service, but they couldn't do anything about it. They just kept saying sorry for the inconvenience caused. What will happen if you don't cancel? The seller will eventually cancel (the buyer cannot dispute) and get a penalty by Shopee, or wait until the shipping out date expired, then the seller gets a penalty. All in all, Shopee gets all the benefits. We as buyers get nothing in compensation or any goodwill gesture for the trouble we went through. Without us buyers to boost your business, you are just nothing. You might as well go back and support Laz. Shipping might be slightly expensive and take longer on some stuff, but they don't engage in some shady business tactics like Shopee. Might I add that the customer service is crappy and unprofessional.

Being a senior and not IT savvy, I was unable to generate a photo/video of the faulty item. In any case I cannot understand how a photo/video can show a faulty, not a damaged, broken or wrong order.
I even left a CHAT message with the seller but to date there is no response.
I have many past refunds with other suppliers/sellers like Lazada, Amazon, ebay and similiar without much hassle

I recently purchased a caliper from a seller on Shopee Malaysia, moo0812 to be exact. Unfortunately, when I received the item, it was damaged and could not provide accurate measurements due to a misaligned arm. As you can see in the pictures, the caliper was clearly defective and unusable.
I immediately requested a refund from the seller, but to my surprise, my request was rejected. I then decided to escalate the issue to Shopee's customer service team and filed a dispute. However, they also rejected my request, citing that the item could not be refunded due to quality issues.

Even a school child would know that this caliper was defective just by looking at it. Nightmare Experience with Shopee Malaysia's Express Courier Service

My experience with Shopee Malaysia has been a rollercoaster ride. While I have had some great experiences with the platform, my recent encounter with their express courier service was nothing short of a nightmare.
The delivery man who came to drop off my parcels and boxes today was extremely rude and unprofessional. He attempted to throw the packages over my gate, which could have easily damaged the items inside. When I caught him in the act and asked him to stop, he started yelling at me and refused to listen to reason.
According to him, it was not his responsibility to inform me of the delivery or to call me beforehand. He insisted that if I wasn't home, he could handle the parcels however he pleased, as he had been working with Shopee for the past 7 years and knew what he was doing. He even went as far as to threaten me, saying that he wasn't scared of anyone and that he could do whatever he wanted.
To make matters worse, he then parked his car outside my gate and refused to let me drive into my house. He took all the parcels in his car and started walking to all the other houses in my Taman to hand deliver them. I was left stranded outside my own home, with no way to get in.
I had to lodge a police report and ask security in my area to prohibit him from entering my Taman. It was a harrowing experience, and I never want to go through something like that again.
Overall, while I appreciate the convenience and affordability of Shopee Malaysia, I would caution others to be wary of their express courier service. It's important to be vigilant and to report any unprofessional behavior to the authorities.
