I purchased this pot for my mother in-law. I didn't open the box before our visit. When we arrived we opened the box and the lid was separate from the pot. We wanted to test the pot, so before adding any water, we just wanted to make sure the lid fits.
Reading the instructions, we quickly learned there was nothing fancy to it (working will all different cookers her whole life, my mother in-law knows her story).
She aligned the arrows, and when turning the pot lid just would budge. We tried a few times and realised it was stuck. Se we opted for a return. I repackaged the pot and logged the return. The outcome was unsuccessful (27/09), but only after querying why, we got the news on Monday (30/09) that Takealot wont be returning because we broke off the handle. They are now demanding that I send a photo of the condition upon return, which I don't have. I clearly remembered how I packed the item, and the item image received from them didn't match. The handle is complete broken off, so the product is a total write off. The customer service is really terrible. I have had 4 agents contacting me with the same generic answer. If anyone can please assist as to how I can get my money back for a product they damaged.
