Full refund not received - mrrn-27aje-yez5
I ordered a sofa from Takealot on Saturday, 17th December 2022 and paid R4,199 for the item (which included a R200) delivery fee. I tried to cancel the order online on the same day and received a response from Monica B stating that I could not cancel my order at that stage since the order was being packaged at the warehouse. I called the Call Centre on Monday, 19th December 2022 and spoke to Chezray, who also stated that I could not cancel my order and that I needed to call Takealot when I received a delivery confirmation sms. Both Chezray and Monica confirmed their assertions via email to me. I, however, never received a delivery confirmation sms and then received a call from a lady at 11:28 on Tuesday, 20th December 2022 asking if I was at home and that the delivery vehicle was at my home address. When I asked her why I did not receive a delivery confirmation sms, she stated that they had the incorrect number for me and that the delivery confirmation address was sent to the incorrect number. When I asked her how she was calling me on my cellphone number if she had the incorrect cellphone number, she did not really answer me.
I asked her to cancel my order, but when I received my refund, I was only refunded for the sofa (R3,999) and not the R200 delivery fee. I feel it is extremely unfair that I was charged for the delivery fee despite my best efforts to get the delivery cancelled before the sofa was loaded onto the delivery vehicle. I have the email trails of all the conversations I've had with the Takealot consultants trying to get the delivery cancelled before the sofa was loaded onto the delivery vehicle.
Therefore, I would appreciate it if Takelot will refund my R200 for the delivery fee as well. I feel that I had done everything in my power to stop the delivery from happening and should, therefore, not be charged the R200 delivery fee.
Please assist as a matter of urgency.

Takealot service and product

I purchased a TV through takealot and it was delivered on the 30th November 2022.On the 18th December we watched a movie and the screen went white and turned black. The TV is just showing the black screen.
The TV is mounted to the wall so it couldn't have fell down and got damaged!
Our town doesn't have power surge as there was cable theft in the area before the 30th November so we are connected directly to the mine electricity , even if we had loadshedding all the appliances are turned off before it is loadshedding.
I logged a return online and it came back as not eligible. We also called into Takealot and sended an email regarding the complaint and asked them to assist us they came back and responded that they wont be able to assist us.
We are really dissappointed on how this complaint has been handled and would like to ask your assistance to come and fetch the television or refund the money back to us.

Le crueset cups
I ordered on black Friday 29 November cuppacino calm collection set of 4 mugs for R499. When I received my order, I received the appitizer calm collection side plates and not mugs. I phoned takealot first a man answered and I explained to him but he just laughed in my ear and said nothing. I phoned back and a lady answered by the name M. Sisipo. I send het photos like requested. She send to my house delivery to pick it up and say they will correct the order. That did mot happen. 3 December the order was picked up. M. Sisipo say it was an packing error and will fix it. Then a N. Thalente ask to send me photos of the plates with bar code of packaging what I did. Then on the 8 December I received from takealot an email that said return and credited. I did nit want a credit at takealot because if you go their website their is that same mugs available. Then I went and ordered on the 15 December the 6 U mug Le Crueset mugs. Paid it. Had to take the credit of R499 and pay and extra R725 because it is not black friday anymore. Received email from takealot payment received. And on tracking payment received. Then this morning 17 December say no payment received order was cancelled. You can phone them they do not answer the phone while it say working hours between 8am and 6pm. When I go into my orders. No credit because it shows payment receive and shipment will take place 3rd January. This is so unacceptable. Everyone always say buy there but I struggle just to get my mugs that was paid and I even paid more now from R499 to R1274 I had to pay just to get my mugs and still they keep mailing me order cancelled. What to do I dont know

magnetic balls
I purchased magnetic balls from takealot which I received on the 16 December 2022. there were supposed to be 216 balls in the pack but when I opened the container I saw that there were only 125. Thats 91 balls short!
When I sent them a message on fb all they replied was we received your message, thank for getting in touch. Nothing about they will get back to me or sorry for the inconvenience, This was for my son for Christmas. I am so angry and will never order from Takealot again,
Desired outcome: I would like the rest if the magnets by Christmas so my son can actually open a present on Christmas day. Im a single mom and can't afford to just go out and buy something else
Wrong item delivered
I ordered a Silver hip flask as shown on the pictures on the app, and takealot delivered a black one that looks completely different.
The product delivered to me DOES NOT IN ANY WAY remwmble the product I ordered as shown on the pictures on the Takealot app.
Upon emailing my complaint to [protected]@takealot.com they email me back that they no longer will attend to emails sent to [protected]@takealot.com
So how do we complain now?
Takealot kindly be thoughtful when sending out products. We as a customer rely on you and put our faith in you that you will provide us with the product we paid for.
So EXTREMELY dissapointed in Takealot.

Absolutely horrendous service received from takealot. If I could give minus stars I would. I Ordered some items 2 months ago and they sent the wrong items. Then they picked up the wrong items and didn’t send any of the correct products. After countless emails and phone calls I still haven’t received my money back. I’ve asked to speak to a manager many times but then they put down the phone on me. Terrible customer care! Definitely do not recommend!

This product was collected at my home address by take a lot team
It was a Creepy Crawly for a swimming pool
This product was still in its original packaging not opened as I purchased the wrong product. In the interim I purchased from Take A lot a different creepy crawly which was delivered at my home address.
The return team only came back to me on 7 December stating that I could not have returned the product as the product was returned after the initial purchase of 30 days
I accept this response as this is a policy from Take A lot
All I am asking is when will I receive the product back from Take A Lot as I have paid for this product. I have sent numerous mails to take a lot team asking the same question over and over again
Today is 15 December 2022 and I still have no response when this product will be delivered back to my home address

I placed my order on the 14th and paid, the option was given for next day delivery. I even got charged for next day delivery. The parcel should arrive today but as far as the app it has not even shipped... Air fryer not delivered on delivery date
I ordered a Kyvol Epichef Air Fryer on the 23rd November 2022. Delivery date was 6 December 2022. Today is 13 December and the item has not even been shipped to takealot warehouse yet. I am cancelling my order due to very bad service from the supplier - Kyvol as well as takealot.
I ordered many times on takelot in past with no disappointments - but this really leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
Desired outcome: Takalot needs to know my disappointment - apology did not deliver my order
Pathetic service
I am beyond annoyed with the service delivery I have received from Takealot. I honestly think it is pathetic the service I have received.
I received a message this morning saying my parcel will be delivered by 17:00 today. At 15:30 I contacted the call centre asking where my delivery is. Tandile said she will send a note to the driver to contact me. I received an email confirming she has sent a message to the driver.
Now at 17:30 I received an SMS saying insufficient address details submitted.
I received a parcel LAST WEEK AT THIS ADDRESS. IT IS AN ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC EXCUSE

Takealot deliver just a Bed base and no mattress
I ordered a Simmons Hybrid base and Mattress Set - Queen Extra Length at R31,199 that was confirmed for delivery 8 December. The morning I still checked it and during the day I tracked it. They then just canceled the delivery saying it will be rescheduled. It had my bed and several other items to the value of R90,160. I rescheduled then for 9th December. Delivery between 8am and 5pm. It arrived 6pm and the base of the bed was dirty and no mattress was delivered. Since Friday I've been emailing, calling and today 12th logged a return. They can not tell me when my new bed (base and mattress) will be delivered. They now first want the delivered base to be collected, then inspected before they can send out a full new bed with base and mattress.
Takealot should go get a new bed and deliver it to me as I'm sleeping on a couch since Thursday 8th December and this is their fault for not delivering the mattress. How could they not see it is a set.
Desired outcome: I want my new bed delivered by latest 15 Dec and then they can collect the Base that was delivered at the same time. Compensation for the inconvenience of sleeping on the couch while I'm patiently waiting for them to sort out their crap.
Silvercrest 6l air fryer
I ordered a 6L Silver Crest Airfryer 2 Dec, 2022
I was very excited to receive my first air fryer. When I opened it there were no rubber feet on the four steam rack stands which means my air fryer will get damaged inside very quickly.
I went onto the internet and that showed me that there should be rubber feet on the steam rack (see attachment).
I asked for an exchange of a new product with rubber feet.
After receiving the exchanged product it arrived with the same problem... no rubber feet on the steam rack. The polyester was also cracked which meant it was an old product.
The system doesn't allow me to log another return and there are no contact numbers or emails to contact them directly.
They also don't read my reviews.
Currently, I am sitting with a faulty product that doesn't work.
Takealot does not sell quality products that you pay for.
How can I get the original product that I paid for?

I am sorry, i was not contacted regarding the cancelation of thos order and the refund. Payflex does not refund the hole amount so i lost money. If i was contacted like you should have, then i would have chosen another producr and got my money's worth, but now i lost money. Not takealot nor payflex informed me of this refund. I also complained about this matter and knowone contacted me. I want to esculate this to the CEO a.s.a.p
Desired outcome: I want to speak to the CEO, i lost money cause of bad service and comunication. It is not the first time and i wont recomend this pathetic place to anyone
Orders refunded instead of delivery
1. On the 25th of november 2022 I ordered and paid for 6l smart air fryer - 2400w-red for r998 on special. Under order number #[protected]
The order came 2 days later and the box was written red but inside they packed black. Knowing it will give me problem to return should it be faulty because of colour not matching the package I returned on condition that they return order which matches with packaging. Instead they refunded me saying its not available however on the website it is available at higher price.
2. On the same order I also ordered bosch-60cm electric cooktop-serie 4-black for r1942,
My order was scheduled for delivery on the 6th of december however I did not get my delivery on that date. I called on the 7th to follow up on my delivery and was advised that same will be delivered the same day on the 7th.
On the 7th I got my delivery which did not include the electric cooktop-serie 4-black of r1942, I called and they advised that same will be delivered on the 8th. On the 8th there was still no delivery.
Today on the 10th I got a meesgae that my order was lost and I responded that they replace same however they refunded me without replacing. When I go to the website the stove is available with higher price.
I ordered on special and paid. They loose my oder and refund without replacing same even after I explained that I have an event which I have to cook using that stove
I don't need refund I need my two items at the price I paid for already. Mobicred has already made 1st debit order.

Invoicing
I am very unhappy with the invoicing .
When I purchased R6000 worth of items for my company, I was under the impression all items sold by a large company like takealot would be VAT inclusive. Order #[protected] has reference
When I wanted to print my invoice I found that I had to download like 3 invoices for 1 transaction, and the bulk of it was not having any VAT on it.
Furthermore the other with VAT was not Valid Tax invoice (wording "TAX INVOICE" was not stated, just "invoice". Also the VAT amount was not always disclosed nor wording "VAT @ 15%".
Even your own invoices for the delivery fee for order #[protected] was not qualifying with SARS rules of a valid TAX invoice.
Desired outcome: 1.You need to supply me with proper VAT invoices for my purchases of the last 3 months2.You need to update your site as to which items are inclusive of VAT and which not.

On my order summary on the website, it states that the total price is R429. Why did it take R604 from my card when paying?
The email i got for confimation states the total was R599 and that i payed R599.

I have been phoning takelot non stop and numerous agents tells me different things. This is also costing me money now.

5 -in 1 Rectangular dining Table and chairs
On the 10 November 2022 I ordered 5-in-1 Rectangular dining table and chairs that was delivered on 22 November 2022 but when I received my order to my surprise the table is a square ( very small to what I have expected because i did my measurement of a rectangular not a square. It was delivered with no instruction of how to assembly the tables and chairs. I have to googled it on You- tube to see how to assemble the furniture. The furniture was for Mom who is staying in rural areas , to send it back was going to be costly as it was delivered in town (Estcourt) and I have to hire a van paid R480 to delivery it at home in rural areas where there are no street address that's why it was delivery to my niece who works in Warehouse store. To send it was also going me as i have to pay another R480.
