Takealot poor delivery service ladies goods
My name is trudy Adams Adams I paid for my order on the 5th of May it was to be here on that date then there was a delay so they had to deliver it on the 9th it did not arrive and again they said courier could not deliver then I saw it was on its way on the 10th then again they told me courier could not deliver its the 11th and nobody gave me a date nor a time I'm so furious and upset and frustrated this is unacceptable and I want answer's via telephone [protected] I was looking forward to my delivery but now I am so disappointed I want it to be delivered on the 11th tomorrow no excuse

Refund not paid in full
I ordered 2 Electric Motor 220V on the 11.04 which was delivered to me in one box and charged at R900 for both, however I returned both the products as packaged in one box, the refund was only processed for one on the 18.04 it is very frustrating trying to contact Takealot because on the website you can't get any numbers or email address where you can contact someone! Highly frustrating. I tried calling your number which I had to google but voice automated and couldn't get through to anyone and after 2 minutes it goes silent.
I would like my full refund please for the other R450 that you owe me!

Today I opened the parcel to find the 4 solar lights, but the Estee Lauder Cleanser was not in the parcel but a Revolution stick? I cannot lodge a return for the stick as the Estee Lauder Cleanser is a non-returnable item which I paid for but NOT received. Please collect the make-up stick (I don't even know what it is) and send me the Estee Lauder cleanser which I paid for to the amount of R640-00
Get it next day promo
Whe. Logging into the app I saw a promo of get it next day with several items highlighted that qualifies after submitting 3 items to be delivered there was only one option available to ship the package standard to the Bloemfontein depo, I decided maybe this will change as it was part of a promo... To my suprise a day later it shows that the parcel will only be delivered the 2nd of May and when I called the agent tells me that the promo is only valid before 10 am however no where does it state that In the promo notes and that I needed to select next day shipping. On top of that they also stated that when I ordered a item it was not updated that the item was no longer available in JHB only in CPT and ultimately my order will come from JHB which means that they need to send the item from CPT to JHB then only to BFN.
Not happy with this if this wasn't a promo I would not have bought the items there.
Desired outcome: Explanation on why the promo was not highlighting the time periods when it should be delivered and a faster delivery time than the 2nd of May
No seller support/service
We are receiving complaints from clients that our pet and equine health products are being received dirty/dusty from Takealot CPT, although we send the products in immaculate condition to the depots. We have filed a complaint a couple of weeks ago without any feedback or confirmation that the poor depot management has been resolved. Everytime I phone, they can only escalate the issue, and may not provide me with any phone numbers or email address for anyone in management. As a seller our hands are completely tied. There is no personal service or support from Takealot to its sellers. We are extremely disappointed with their support systems and service.This standard of service they are providing is not only ruining our reputation that we work so hard on, but also our sales and Takealot's sales.
This is unexceptable.

My husband and I moved house two years ago. We made the unfortunate - though understandable - error of forgetting to update our delivery address on Takealot. We have just placed an order using a gift voucher from a friend for our newly arrived newborn baby, and unfortunately only noticed once our order had been placed that the delivery address was incorrect. Surely this simple human error happens? So no problem, as on other platforms we can simply edit the delivery address, right?
No - we can't according to your website. We have to cancel the order. Okay, slight frustration, but no problem. We have gone to your help line to check how to cancel as we werent having any luck, because button for cancelation is not appearing. We read about this to find out again from your website that some items can not be canceled. We also tried to change to collection, but couldn't do that either.
So essentially, we have an order going to an incorrect delivery address in an entirely difference province to where we live and there's nothing we can do about it?!
Surely your company does not want the wasted labour of delivery to the wrong email address?!
As one of the most used e-tailers in RSA, I would expect a better user experience than the frustration of not being able to rectify a human error such as the delivery address on an order!
Please can someone urgently get back to us on how this can be fixed!
The way we are feeling right now, it's no wonder we haven't used takealot in two years. If we had had a better experience with this gift voucher, we may have started using it regularly.
There must be other customers that have had this problem who are similarly frustrated and will also avoid using takealot.

Seagate expansion 6tb desktop drive
I feel like I have been cheated by Takealot and its impossible to speak to anyone who can help. They have made it intentionally difficult to interact with the help centre directly. I purchased a hard drive online order number [protected]. It took along long time for this item to ship in fact the dispatch date was pushed out when the order was due to be dispatched.
When I finally received the item it was not even close to being correct. It was a lemon scented perfume which made me a bit suspicious because it had the barcode sticker of the hard drive on it. I find it hard to believe that this was a mistake. Hard drives and perfumes are not in the same department.
I was told that I had to file a return and get the item collected. This is when I noticed that the price of the item had increased on the online sore. Thats when I realised what was going on. Once I log a return it gives them the opportunity to give me a credit not and not honour the original order and that's exactly what happened.
Once the incorrect item was returned I received an email saying the hard drive was out of stock and that my account had been credited with the funds. However the items is actually still in stock on the Takealot website. Clearly Takealot does not want to absorb the additional cost and are manipulating the returns system in order to avoid paying the additional cost that their supplier is now charging them. I am very disappointed in what they have done. I will think twice before using Takealot again. I would like to have the item I ordered delivered and I don't see why I should have to pay the increased price.

In warranty battery that is faulty
I logged a return/exchange for a lead acid solar battery with Takealot on 14 April and received a message from them that the item will be collected on Monday 17 April…. They never collected and I got no feedback from them as to why…so the next day I got a message again that they will collect the item before 5pm and yet again they were a no show….so I decided to contact their customer care centre…where the customer care agent assured me that they will collect the item before 5 pm today Wednesday 19 April…. And yet again they were a no show.
This makes me wary now…my line of thinking is if and when they finally collect the battery am I going to get a replacement or a refund or are they just going to give me the run around again and hope I lose interest and hope in the whole issue all together.
I suppose I will just have to hope that they have some form of good business ethics and trust that they will do the right thing…fingers crossed

Change of delivery date
We ordered a gift from take a lot, with it specifically saying next day delivery. We ordered it on Friday and we had the option of choosing delivery for Sunday. We paid an additional R70 for this option and we needed the gift by then. Otherwise we could have not paid any delivery fee and accepted delivery for the week.
On Saturday, we checked the tracking and to our disappointment, it showed delivery for Tuesday only. Had we not paid an additional R70 for faster delivery, I would not have minded. However, you choose to pay extra and then they change the date anyway! To a date where normally you wouldn't be charged extra for. I feel completely done in and I'm exceptionally angry about this.
Desired outcome: Package to be delivered on the date we initially requested and paid for. Alternatively, if they deliver on the Tuesday, we want the R70 back.
No customer service
I bought an iPhone on the Black Friday promo, which ended up being defective. It was returned to Takelot and I asked for a replacement phone, which was one of my available options, as the product was faulty. I was told that I’ll receive a credit on my account as there is no stock. I went online and the same phone was available. I queried this and was told it’s from a different supplier, which has got nothing to do with me as Takealot was my supplier. I then checked my original order against availability online and the same supplier showed. Again I queried this and sent screenshots and was told the price difference is now too big for a replacement. This is absolutely absurd! This was going to be a no charge replacement, as the defect happened within 3 months and it was discussed in my original communication. They forced the credit on my account and said I can order another phone. With a price difference to me of R3000! I waited for the promo, as I couldn’t afford the original price to begin with. The “customer service” agents I dealt with was extremely unprofessional and told me to go and read the terms and conditions. I am not stupid and the product should have been replaced at no charge to me. I find that the behaviour has been unethical and unfair. I requested a refund to my account and bought the phone elsewhere. Takealot will not see a cent of my money again and I will also not leave this here. I will be lodging an official complaint, as Takealot was not interested in doing the right thing. Consumers do have rights and they completely ignored this.
Solar flood light
I ordered a solar flood light which was delivered on the 30 March 2023 it was the wrong flood light delivered they gave me a cheaper version I ordered a united electricial solar flood light at R785 they gave me a inkwenkwezi flood light which is R476 I returned it and had to cancel all appointments to be at home for takealot to pick up ……today the 11th April I get the replacement order and again they have given me the inkwenkwezi cheap flood light now I have to make myself available for pickup and a delivery of a new flood light I am not a very happy customer right now and am thinking of just going into a store and purchasing what I need in future

This morning someone dropped of a delivery for a Mr Celvin Bowers at Firtdistribution in Century City.
The order was for a private person who works for our Company.
We do not let anyone go into our offices but in this instance. the person your guy was delivering the parcel too was with in 3 steps from our reception.
I asked him if he could give the parcel directly to the person who ordered the stuff as he was sitting by his desk.
He got very rude and took the parcel back with him when the guy who ordered was in front of him. He could clearly see the person who ordered.
we get lots of orders for our employers which we are always willing to help out with to also save time on the people who deliver the goods from Takealot buy this delivery guy of yours was totally rude and unreasonable.
I hope he never puts his foot on our premises again. Please train your staff to be more accommodating and not to be so arrogant. You can check who your person was by checking the person who delivered the order for Celvin Bowers. He refused to give me his name. Thanks
Not meeting standards as promised

I would like to log a complaint against your driver that was supposed to deliver my package before 5pm. I get of work at 4pm but waited till 5pm outside my work place to receive my package. At 4:55pm the driver phones me and tels me his still going to take 45 minutes before at my location. This was not the arrangement takealot made with me, i don't expect this. On the 21 of March i made an order for mike covers and roland keyboard,i only received the mike covers last week 30th March. The keyboard was not delivered I want to know why was it not shown on the order from the first place that it will only be delivered on the 13 April. I need the keyboard for this weekend. Delayed delivery and lack of communication
I am contacting with regards to my delayed delivery. I have never faced any problems with my previous orders but now I would like to believe its due to the fact that I have changed Locations... I am not pleased with your services, it was said that I will be contacted but you have not contacted me even once.. I have opened a small skin care business to help my grandmother pay for my fees and I was due to start work today but because my delivery was delayed yesterday I was unable to.. Account suspended because of their bad business practice
Ongoing saga with Takealot ...
This company has been content over the years to "take a lot" of our money. Personal items, gifts, business equipment and purchases on behalf of clients - we have found it a convenient platform for almost everything we need, with good prices and good service.
But then something changed.
Takealot became an open marketplace where anyone and their dog could open a drop-shipping tab and sell whatever they wanted.
Prices became unpredictable, changing arbitrarily and often to ridiculous amounts.
Delivery times became problematic, sometimes fluctuating wildly after an order was placed.
And the quality of the products has noticeably declined, so that we often have to return items that are either of poor quality, do not match the description or are faulty.
Now our account has been blocked (without giving any reason) and has not been reactivated even after several messages.
Finally, we were told that the suspension was because of "too many returns".
Well, yes! Supply [protected]@ppy products; get a lot of returns!
Latest update - we received an email telling us that our last purchase (which we were charged for) was cancelled "at our request" - NOPE! We didn't ask to cancel the order, YOU did, Takealot!
The email also said that a refund would be made to our account - which is still blocked and inaccessible at this point. You're joking, right?
We're done playing this game. Once this issue is resolved, we'll take our business elsewhere.
The balance between convenience and annoyance has shifted in the wrong direction.

Delivery drivers attitude
I am very disappointed with the manner that I have received from the driver this morning 28/03/2023. First he calls to advise that he is almost at the address at the complex. That was noted with thanks. And he arrives he calls again sitting in his car for me to come collect the parcel. Takealot does door to door deliveries but I tried to avoid the argument. When I got to his car he gives me a dirty look, gives me a parcel without saying anything and off he goes. What kind of customer service is this, why such a bad attitude? This is not acceptable, please may you kindly train your drivers to know how to deal with customers with respect. Thanks
