My dog has cancer and I am unable to leave the house hence I have been shopping online via TakeAlot. I purchased a pet carrier as I thought it would be convenient to put my dog in since he can hardly walk. The pet carrier was delivered on sat evening 7 oct 2023 and I opened the item seal on 8 oct 2023 at 3pm to view it. I only had a look at the bag with all the other accessories still in their packaging. Upon viewing the bag, I realized that the opening is too small for my dog even though the description on the website said its for a large dog (I had a look at the reviews on 17 oct and others have complained that it is not for a big dog as well). I put it back in its packaging and logged a return under the same product return code that I have returned many opened items for which I was refunded. The item was not used at all, only viewed. The item was returned and they declined my refund stating the seal was broken. I phoned customer service a few times as well as asked to speak to a manager, who by the way, was the most rudest manager I ever dealt with and pity that TakeAlot does not know anything about customer service. The item has now been returned back to me today with very untidy repacking so I am sit even sure of they returned a brand new product to me. They are being spiteful as I have recently retuned quite a few items as I a dependent on online shopping as I am unable to leave the house due to my sick pet and as a result. I have returned quite a few items under the same return code for which it was accepted however they are now applying inconsistent policies and I should not be forced to keep a item I did not use and cannot use because the tape was opened.
