I ordered a iPhone from takealot on the 2023/12/28 and when the delivery guy delivered the item itwas on the 2024/01/02
I patiently asked the driver to wait for me to open the parcel infront of him, as I opened the parcel I found that takealot packaged wrong item inside itwas a gentle magic product, surprisingly the driver himself was surprised that how possible to buy so much expensive fone and get cosmetics.
I asked the driver what do we do now and the driver advised me to log a return which I don't know how to even do it but he explained it to me and he left, I patiently emailed takealot to let them know what do I do with the wrong product they delivered.
2024/03/03 12h18 takealot replied and told me how they are sorry for the wrong item that was packaged, they gave me steps on how to log a return and I managed to log a return.
2024/01/04 they emailed me giving me the reference number for the return and that the driver will come collect the return.
2024/01/08 the driver came to collect the return and I waited for the reply from date of collection till 2024/01/10 I emailed them asking for a feed back from them as I claimed that I want my refund I don't want their product anymore and they replied same day at 09h58 saying I should provide them with order number so that they can assist me.
2024/01/12 10h08am I checked my takealot app it says my return was concluded yet they kept me waiting because the app said its concluded, according to my understanding i should be paid back the money but they never did i emailed to ask whats the feed back since they have concluded the matter they replied saying they have escalated the matter they will revert to me, I patiently waited for them to reply me.
2024/02/18 surprisingly the driver came to my address and called saying g he is from takealot he is here to deliver, but I never got any update that they will deliver because I said I want to be refunded ded not for the item to be replaced, luckily I was home went out to the driver explained to him the he gave me the parcel I asked him to wait to check if it's the right order again I found gentle magic cosmetics I gave it back to the driver and sent them an email that the driver came with a wrong item I gave it back I still demand my money not the item.
2024/02/26 I sent an email again to ask for update they never replied me. No one replied please help me get my money back imnot happy with takealot service and I will never use takealot again in my life
