Every time I go into the local dollar general store the line is backed up through the store there is only one register open and the management is no where to be seen. Today I had a return and I also had things in my cart to check out. After the manager on duty refunded my return she told me that I had to go to the other line to check out because she was supposed to be on break that line had at least ten people in it once I was in the line she told others that she could take them in her line. Then began acting out slamming things and being rude not only to customers but an employee as well. I have had it with her she's always rude and always worried about her break this is not the first time that I have observed her behaving like this. Also there are employees in there that have extremely long hair and are are constantly playing with it which takes time from getting the customers checked out. I will MEVER SHOP at this store again and I go in there 3-5 times a week because it is only a block from my house. From now on I will drive to the family dollar or the local grocery store. I'm one fed up customer!

Store #01537. I can no longer remain quiet about the manager of this store. I only wish I had her name...this woman is one of the rudest people I have come across. Not only is she rude to her employees, and she has no problem belittling them in front of customers, she is just as rude to customers! God forbid you bother her with a question or try and get around her when she is stocking a shelf. She has no business dealing with people. She is a miserable human being ...and she stinks like an ashtray. Why must employees smoke right at the front door. And I don't know what Candy's position is at this store but she isn't much better. This store has aisles blocked with stock thst hasn't been put away yet there she is outside smoking or yelling at an employee who should be at the register but in fact is trying to put away product. This i can tell you...the next time I go into this store and see or hear her going off on an employee or even a customer I WILL confront her. I have had several issues when checking out at the Hilldale WV Dollar General in regards to mobile coupons. I enter my # and some do not come off. Even if I can show the cashier that it is there, the response is "I don't know, if it doesn't come off automatically I can't help you. " I go to Dollar General because I can use this service and don't have to clip coupons, and I don't have to use as much time shopping around for deals. Although I have ended up paying more for items because it does not come off automatically. Today was Aussie Products $2/2. I ended up putting one back bc it would not com off so why buy 2 to save if you're not going to get the savings? I'm dissatisfied enough to just look around for the best deals elsewhere. My husband and I, including our one year old, came here to shop. The manager, who was Hispanic, told us she had to check our diaper bag. Which looks like a backpack. My husband is Mexican and I'm white. He sometimes gets mistaken for white. But I was the only Caucasian in the whole store. She racially profiled me. I had never had this problem before.
communication issues with manager
I have worked for my local DG for six months. My manager has changed schedules without communicating with her employees about it, so we get calls from the assistant managers saying that we were supposed to be working. Previous and current employees have brought up her poor communication skills among other issues as well, such as her seeming to be biased over another employee whose family works at another Dollar General.

After reading some of your complaints I believe your company has no intentions of improving your shortcomings and probably will not heed my mine either. So here are my three complaints which could be easily be remedied by your company. First, the shelves were empty and in disarray so the advertised items were nonexistent or hidden. Second, advertised markers on shelves were outdated not by a day but by weeks. One or two items can be easily overlooked but there were many and the time lapses to boot shows lack of professionalism. Finally, why bother having digital coupons when they continually fail to ring up correctly. This shopping experience was a total disaster and the manager was rude and unapologetic. I returned my purchases for a full refund. I realize I am one of many and probably will not make a dent in your sales but I will have the satisfaction of not purchasing anything from Dollar General again.

They are horrible. They have handled situations very wrongly. They have lied to all of my family. Shelia Haynes made my 18 year old little sister cry, and humiliated her and compared her son to her and said that she was making graduates look bad. Ryan Launtry is no manager he is a thief. And Sheila is covering up for him. Something has got to be done. I will never shop at a dollar general again. Will be going to court have a lawyer and will sue unless something is done immediately I can't seem to talk to anybody I've called and everybody gives me the runaround and my whole family and this is just unacceptable for a company in for "management".

Your store here Abilene TX on butternut and south 13th is terrible the cashier's are very unprofessional to say the least. I a men 39 years of have shopped that DG store since it was built there and up until today which is the 6/2/17 I was in the store had an atlercasion with another customer I then politely told the cashier I wasn't trying to and altercation on DG property was in a forcefully tone to walk away cause the other customer was a loyal customer the other customer put his groceries away waited outside of store and even after first walking away when I protected myself they were saying I hit the customer first after clearly seeing I turned my back to enter my vehicle. I feel totally disrespected and very much unsatisfied as a customer and would tell the world not to go to that store the Hispanic lady cashier my have not seen your as much in the store but doesn't like to but loyal so called customer. Never will I ever this store again and for that matter a DG anywere.

I am contacting you with a very serious issue/concern. I shop at this location several times a week. And I spend thousands here a year. You can run my debit card to verify that as well. This evening I was running in just to grab a hose nozzle for my yard hose. I was in the aisle looking at the different selection when an employee came up tp me and said something. I couldn't understand what exactly he said so I said excuse me I can't hear you. He proceeded to get very loud with a store full of customers and said didn't we just throw you out last week and tell you not to come back. I was in shock I said I am sorry what? He then proceeded to repeat the same thing he said before but much louder. At this point there are several customers staring at me. I said no I shop here several times a week and spend a lot of money and I don't need to steal anything. He just walked away. I was in shock and finally picked out the $8.00 nozzle I was going to purchase. I was walking up to the cashier and he was just standing in the main aisle. I went up to him and said I have never been so insulted in all of my life. I come here all of the time and spend a lot of money here. He said my bad and just walked away. I then went to my regular cashier Chris and asked her to please tell her manager that I shop here all of the time and spend a lot of money. She said I know and will tell him. Chris is wonderful and also a special needs adult so I am not sure if the main manager will even be told about the incident. I work as a field customer service rep and deal with corporate communications as well for my employer and if someone in the store would happen to be a customer of ours or even a co-worker they would not look at me the same. They would probably assume I was a thief because why would the employee at the store accuse her unless she did it. I can GURANTEE you that Dollar General will never receive another dime from me. I am going to post this incident all over social media as well as file an actual Formal Complaint with the BBB. I am also going to contact my local news and advise them of the situation. I am pretty sure it is illegal to accuse someone of being a thief without documented proof at a place of business. I was not only furious, I was hurt to my inner soul. Our parents raised us that there is nothing worse than a liar and a thief and now for the first time in my life I have been accused of both in the same day by the same person at a business that I spend my hard earned money at. It was enough to actually make me cry. I would hope that disciplinary action would be taken against this employee and I would rethink your company policy on confronting innocent customers and accusing them of horrible things. I was in dollar general market in Elwood shopping for a few things as I walk up to a register where there where a few people in line this nasty older lady by the name ruth yelled out loud this register is closed this was very embarrassing as I start walking around to another register witch the line was long she starts running her mouth aloud saying can't these dumb customers see the light is off at point I'm upset emotionally and every embarrassed this lady has done this before and nothing gets done member of management shouldn't be allowed to work customer service if she is very rude like that I did talk to the manager on duty. This should not ever happen she gets away with this all time and nothing has gets done this is bad for your business

They clearly knew each other because as the other customers were yelling at me telling me they'd beat my [censor]. She walked out rubbed her fat stomach against my back and then cussed at me again. Kiss these people's "child" then insisted they didn't know each other. So, as long as this woman is working there I will continue to be rude to her. As she is rude to me every time I come in which is at least once a week. I will continue to file complaints until she is gone.

Hi my name is Betty Fulton and i love shopping at Dollar General because it's one of my favorite store but one of your employee name Amanda Smith is not a good employees because when i got up to the register one night she look like she jump into me and another lady conversation and she was very rude. And told her excuse me but we are talking and we were not talking to you. And now she is very racial when i come in now but i will be contacting my lawyers because I refuse to let her treat me like this and i am a very good customer of that store. And I am a supervisor at my store i work at in retail and you don't talk your customers like that because you having a bad day. And this is not the first time she did this I try not to report her but she is set in her on way.

I shop this store every week and have had excellent customer service by every employee especially Sharon Blevins, who I believe is one of the store managers. If she had been there I would have brought this to her attention and I'm sure she would have fixed this immediately. But she was not, so I feel it is important to let you know about this new employee and her unhelpful behavior. Before checking out I asked the cashier if the bags of chips I was buying qualified for the "buy 2 get one free on lays and Tostitos". She said bluntly, "I don't know". I said the sign said lays and Tostitos but I would like to make sure I have the sizes that qualify for the sale. She didn't reply but continued to check out my items. When she totaled my sale I noticed my total savings Did not include the discount. I told the cashier that it didn't give me the discount on the chips. Then she looked at me and said, " there is nothing I can do about it". Being a person who does not like to make a scene in public I paid the bill and walked out to my car. However the more I thought about it the more I thought someone should be notified. She was not wearing a badge, so I do not know her name, but she was in her 20's with reddish brown hair in a braid. If i hadn't asked her about the chips before she began my checkout I would not had been upset, but how hard would it had been to do a price check and tell me the Tostitos were not the right size or flavor so that I could select the correct products for the promotion. I didn't come into the store for chips but made the purchase due to the promotion. My bill totaled $70.90, so I bought multiple items, but I do not feel that the cashier was friendly or tried at all to give me quality customer service.

I was shopping at the dollar general on broad St in Monroe G as I was looking at the laundry soap a employee blew at me saying I was blocking her way I It that go as I turned around my husband was coming down the aisle and she mumbled something under her breath he replied excuse me she said he had almost knocked her over which did not happen he offered an apology anyway as I was checking out the employee was in line and the m.O.D asked her to get ice for a customer she got out of line and did so I asked when a manager or district manager would be in she did not know the female employee heard me ask and started cussing at me her exact words" you f... b... I'm so tired of these g.. embarrassing degrading accusing
On may 24, 2017 at 3 pm or so at the san leon dollar store. I went into the dollar store to pick up some groceries. I had an urgent call and had to leave my basket behind and as I was walking out the door. The manager stopped me. And ask to look in my purse and I said why you think I stole something from the store I had to leave I had urgent phone call so I open my purse and showed it to her. She said well I saw you pick something off the shelf and you're walking out with nothing so how to make sure you weren't stealing. You know how embarrassing and degrading that was and why cuz I put something in my basket and also i'm walking out for urgent call I didn't know it was against the law to do that. So I mean one of my profile now as i'm since you found nothing in my purse I was still embarrassed in front of people I was still made to open my purse and she found nothing I think that's wrong. I'm shopping in there now cuz people around me and everybody and then she told her employees and stuff like that or the person that was around me. So that's the closest store to me I walked further now just not to go there cuz I was embarrassed and everybody looks at me you need to do something about it i'm going to do something about it i'm going to get me a lawyer please get back with me I want something done thank you and have a wonderful day. I am a regular customer for several years. I spend an average of $400 month in Dollar General located in San Saba, Tx.
I went to get mascara and facial scrub. I stopped to look through the clothing because it had a 50% off sign. I noticed the manager kept walking past me several times watching me. I took the mascara and facial scrub to the register and asked the cashier if I could leave it there while I looked at clothing, she said "yes". I spent many years working in retail and trained people to watch for shoplifters, so it was VERY obvious the manager was watching me as if I was shoplifting. When I went to pay for my items the manager came up behind me and stood there as the cashier scanned my items. Then the manager asked me where the items were that I had gotten from the makeup aisle. I told her I brought them to the register and just paid for them. The cashier confirmed it. This manager has always treated me like this, but she ignores the people that are well known shoplifters. She has even hired people that are well known for shoplifting (small town).
I will NEVER shop at the Dollar General in San Saba, Tx. (#03721) as long as that woman is manager!

I was at the store on Sunday May 28, to get Dr. Pepper and the sign said $.95 each and in very small print it added with the purchase of 3. That's all fine and good however when it rang up at $1.70 each I questioned it. This woman named Deb T. was just about as rude and as impatient as a body could be. She acted as if it were a burden that I was even in her presence. I found it very offensive and the customers in line behind me were just as shocked as I was. I feel as if I should have never stepped foot in there and in the future if I walk in and see her working I will turn around and take my business elsewhere. I would have been just fine with her politely saying that's only with the purchase of three, however she huffed and puffed and stormed off to bring me the sign that stated with the purchase of 3. Waiving it in my face saying "See it says three" . In my opinion if you are going to treat your customers in this manner you may as well close up shop. If this woman hates her job that much then why on earth is she working there.
Perhaps it would be in your companies best interest to better screen your employees customer service skills.
I visit this store quite often and all of the other employees working there are just as nice and as helpful as they can be, however this woman is just plain rude.

We been going to this store longer then the both of them been working there the store is located in upper Darby pa on Garrett rd I used to love this store most of the worker are very pleasant and polite but these two was very rude and as a every day customer I really did not appreciate that treatment and when we left the store they told me to never return my neighbor was came in as we was leaving so by the time she got in line they was talking to other customers about us again in a rudely manner until she said something. Today 5/27/2017 at 6:00pm I was at the Dollar General #12356 in Somerset Center, MI. 49282. I made my purchase of items that were either on sale or I had a digital coupon loaded on my Dollar General app. Knowing that my purchase was over $25.00 to use the $5.00 off coupon along with some other coupons. After making my purchase and while walking out the door I realized my coupons hadn't been taken off. I went back in the store and the cashier that had rang me up argued with me. I told her I know how it breaks down the discount on the receipt. Which was not the case it was today. No discounts were taken other than the items that were on sale. She then proceeded to tell me that if the coupons were loaded they should have been taken off. I went out to my vehicle and got my phone and went back in and showed her that the coupons were there. She continued to get angry . Told me to bring everything back in and she would return it and re ring it. She was very rude and very angry. After bringing back in everything she then got very rude and was just going to give me $5.00 to make me go away. But I told her there is more coupons not taken than just the $5.00. She preceded to throw things around and returned my purchase. Then rerang it. I put my phone number back in and she tried to say they weren't there again. But then she hit a button on the register and all my coupons showed up. Then during this time told the other cashier that she was done tonight and wasn't coming in tomorrow . As I said she (Angel) was her name...was extremely rude. My husband stops at this store a couple times a week. And after today won't be back.
I am a frequent shopper at Dollar General. And after the way I was treated today. Well let's just say Walmart is the same distance for me to drive too. I have worked in retail for 20 years...and she shouldn't be allowed to work in your store. Again a very rude and angry person.

goingThe Dollar General in Warren Minn this morning to pick up graduation cards ..lots to choose from but only two cards had envelopes...the salesgirl said take envelopes from the cards in the other section..I had a hard time finding envelopes in that section..complaining at coffee this morning I found out some of my friends wont go there for cards for that reason...cheap cards get you in the store then you buy something else..Is this happening in all Dollar General stores or just Warren, Minn
