store 1678 la grange tx
I went in around 9:40 Thursday evening and was harrassed & threatened by an employee Iterrica MCKenzie. I've been trying to transfer to the Columbus location and cannot get the store manager in La Grange to approve the transfer. The people that are being hired there make for a difficult & hostile work environment with nothing being done about the situation because they are personal friends with the store manager. I do not appreciate the threat made that she would bring harm to me and it needs to be addressed by someone if I cannot get anyone else to deal with.
store
The store located in Mt vernon il on 42nd street. The store is so unorganized and always has merchandise piled on the floor that you can barely move around in there. The cashiers are very slow and I was in there today and a cashier named Bambi was rude and ignorant. And she was back there joking about doing line of coke where as the whole store could hear her. The manager of the store is also rude. This is the worst store located in this town and I will never go there again.
ada/osha violations
Dollar General located at 2495 N Loop 336 W, Conroe, TX 77304. The store ALWAYS has stock stacked around the perimeter of the store which makes it impossible to look at or access the merchandise. The floors are littered with merchandise and boxes, making it hard to pass with a cart and poses a tripping hazard. My main concern is regarding guests who are in a wheelchair/scooter not being able to navigate the store safely and in case of an emergency they would be unable to exit the store quickly. This store has multiple OSHA and ADA violations.
the store in general
This store is so convenient to my house but it is in bad shape, always stock on the floor, dont carry things the other store does, if they do they are out. the store is so unorganized, they have the same product in different locations. when its time to check out the clerk is always in the office and i have had to hollar hello? i don't want this store to close its so very close and very handy, but i bet ya they have alot of loss due to people stealing please check into why this store is so mis- managed store number 11619

sales associate at 317 16rh ave laurel, ms.
The young lady associate bagged my milk with heavy items and not only my did it fall out but she was very rude when I asked for another bag. She did not help but actually snatched the turn table that held the bags. When I got home my milk was leaking. I will not be back. Train your employees better or screen them in how to add it others and bag items appropriately.
expired product
I am extremely fond of your company and find myself, at least once a week, utilizing the convenient locations of your store. The increase of your product lines over the years is great. However there is one location that I find repeated issues with. More often than not, the canned foods, be it vegetables, soup, beans, or pasta, are dented. Sometimes the packages are near the expiration date and still on the shelves. Today I went in specifically to see IF you carried unsweetened cocoa powder. I was not sure but since it was on my way home I figured I would stop in. And you do! Which is great, except the products in this particular location that were on the shelf had expired in 2014. The containers on the shelves “for purchase” had a bit of dust on the top. (Which could easily have come from another open product-a bag of flour that had broke open) But they were all evenly coated as if they've been sitting for a very long time in a warehouse. So I found myself turning the product over to check the freshness. Even if it were only a few months expired I would've gotten over it but multiple years is unacceptable. I have not had this issue with any other location. But this one specifically, is so often not up to the other’s standards.

For the third time this week I visited the 17857 zip code store yesterday, Saturday.
It was pathetically "prepared" for visits. 2 employees turned their backs on us while having a cigarette outside the store as we entered.. Inside, knocked over stock on the floor in several different isles. 90% of shelves in disarray. Carts to unload were in every isle...a few same carts with same stock blockimg shelves remain on the same place from our first visit of the week.
customer service/employee
I have a Dollar General close to where I live and I go in there quite frequently. The first couple of times there was a guy working named Dave. He had a strong personality but overall seemed pretty friendly. After going in there a few times he had my name memorized. Again nothing too crazy, could be a good sign that he knows his customers. Later on he asked if I lived close, I responded with a general answer. He then asked me if I lived in a specific apartment complex. I said yes not thinking anything of it. He then told me he also lived there and knew the code to get into my building. He said "I can get into your building if I wanted to." My mom was with me and we both laughed it off and said he was not invited. He then said "I am not saying I will come over, I am just saying I know how to get in." This came off a little creepy. He later kept trying to ask me how I got to work and where I worked at. I avoided the question each time I went in. Recently he saw me close to my place of work (He was not at DG) The next time I went into the DG he asked me if I was wearing a blue shirt with KC on it, and if I was walking into a bank with a tall guy. He then asked who the guy was, and where I was going, and asked if I worked at the bank he saw me go into. This was a major red flag. I told him I did not and avoided the rest of the questions. The next time I went in after that my card was declined. I went in the next day after checking my account to make sure it would go through. The line was 10 people deep. The lady in front of me was not sure how to use her EBT card, and he raised his voice at her and made her feel dumb. I got to the register and he said super loud "Is your card going to go through today because it sure didn't yesterday (in front of all of the other customers) I was humiliated. After that I put my debit card in too soon and he raised his voice at me for not waiting for him. He then grabbed my bags out of my hand to ring them up again. It finally went through and he responded with "Well look at that, it actually went through this time." I wanted to file this complaint against Dave because he has been very rude, and creepy almost every single time I have gone in. It makes me feel very uncomfortable when he asks me personal questions over and over. It also is unprofessional to raise your voice at customers.
Thank you,
Sierra Rons

staff/managers at the dollar general
The dollar general in the location on Washington St Covington Ga is filled with [censored] and my friend was fired from there BC shes not that way so what they did to fire her was when she was off work they changed the schedule around to make it look like she was a no call no show and she got called into work to speak with the manager and she fired her I thought it was complete ### what they did to her cause she was always working covering everyone's shifts going to different stores to work all the time doing doubles etc and now when she goes into the store to buy anything they are treat her like crap and say rude things to her I hope the regional manager randy looks into this.
unprofessionalism
I live in Williston, SC. I went to the store in Windsor, SC... 566 Middleton Dr N, Windsor SC 29856. The store number is 17094. When I walked in, I seen a woman with long blonde hair, there was a child. The woman had her child behind the counter. He was sticking his hands in the register as she was handing a man his change. I didn't think employees were allowed to have children behind the store. From what I saw, the store manager, a light colored black woman, knew about it and was allowing it. I do not think this is okay. It's unprofessional. I go in the store all the time, but that's just not okay. The store has been very cluttered recently, and poorly kept up.
general manager abuse
Hello, my name is Michael Gilliam, my mother currently is the store manager at 521 S Cumberland St, Morristown, TN 37813, sorry I don't know the store number. Her name is Melody Smith. Shes been working my brother off the clock before the day of her 'audit' or whenever her boss's come in to review her store. He works till 3 am off the clock every single time this happens. She doesn't pay him, nor does anything for him for doing that. My brother has also told me she doesn't even work 40 hours a week. She waits till her boss calls her for the day, and leaves. My brother's name is Anthony Blake Gilliam. Please resolve this as it makes me mad that he doesn't get paid to do her work and over works. He's a head cashier at that store. I would appreciate that you keep it this anonymous since Melody is my mother. This won't be solved unless you go in the store and check the cameras. As far as I know, the recent one was less than a month ago, and my brother has been doing this ever since hes been hired on (6 months). She also been bragging about how much of a raise she got, and a bonus she got; when she doesn't even work 40 hours a week. Thank you for reading this as it is a serious matter. My email is [protected]@yahoo.com . If you have any further questions. Thank you.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
xbox card
I am totally upset and embarrassed ! First of all I am 63 years old and no nothing about purchasing cards so I go to dollar general and purchase a $25 x box live card for granddaughters birthday. Upon receiving it she needed a code off the store receipt which I knew nothing about ! I called to ask the store and she said there is nothing they can do and I should not have left store with card! Well the clerk put it in my bag and said nothing about a code! I'm very upset the way I way treated. All I ask was if I bring this card back could they run it so they could tell it was purchased! Very disappointed in their service .
i am complaining about the dollar general on north lee hwy in cleveland tn store #10285!
The managers and key holder Carol you have working this DG are the rudest/hateful women. They never smile or greet you when you walk in! The store is always a mess! The employees act like they are scared to talk! You can cut the tension with a knife! Please address so I can enjoy shopping at this DG again! It's closest to my house or I would go to another one!
extremely poor staff and management
Store 00197 time 0847 am 5/21
I am not currently from here but this location staff and manager Charles and Randy your district manager. Which I found out everyone name so I can inform you. Reason for complain is that I ask for assist from Charles and walk with Randy to the back office. Then Brandy the cashier I ask where item was located and yelled while Charles at that time talk to her about someone yesterday stealing a balloon. My point is with that staff and management include region all need a coarse on people still. What mean by that a friends greeting and if you can not answer the question a yes or even a no but not walk away. I will inform my family members, church members, and other not to shop there due to staff
items always out of stock,
Every time I go shopping, they never have stock of items, when I first started going to dollar general they were always stocked, last several times I went never have all items I need. I wish they would better stock items. Just costing the store a lot of money not stocking items. Every time I been going lately,
Getting about half of the items I need. I'm going to start shopping other places
If there's no change.
your 2 cashiers or managers at the friendship road store #17302 seneca sc 29678
I went in at about 7:15 pm along with my daughter and son in law and my grandson. I am 44 yrs old. And my daughter is 26 yrs old and son in law also 26 yrs old. I went thru and got my order and proceeded with the grandson and paid 12.65 for my order and it was fine. While my daughter and son In. Law continues gathering their items I went out put my things in the car. Which I totally knew I had not purchased my cigarettes because I didn't have my drivers licence and knew I couldn't purchase my cigarettes so I waited till my daughter and son in law got to register and then I told the cashier I needed a pack of marlboro cigarettes and she asked for my I'd. I told her I don't have mine with me and as I was this the cashier Rudley starts saying no I cant but bc of no I'd. As she did my daughter said I'll go get mine out of the car and I say ok that's fine and I just handed my money to my son in law who also btw also 26 has his license in his wallet and when my daughter said she would get hers out of the car. Not only the cashier ringing the stuff up but another cashier manager what ever they were also rudley states no we cannot sell these to y'all. Ok my daughter says why I am 26 years old and I have my licence to show and again both your employees started saying very rudely and very discriminatory saying it's against the law. Ok first off even if my daughter paid for them. For me I am grown and she is a adult and secondly how can they refuse to sell a pack of cigs to anyone that is grown. Of age and has I'd and the money to buy the cig and is not a child and was not buying for a child so tell me how its illegal to sell a pack of cig to a adult 26 yrs old well 2 26 yrs old people both with Ids and money and can prove they certainly are capable of purchasing on their own either way. Frankly If I would. Have had my time over I'll skip dollar General and shop at family dollar up the road bc not only did they speak rudely to me and my kids. But they said it's illegal just how is it illegal to sell 2 adults a pack of cig as long as they were not buying for a child that frankly is a bunch of hoopla i do intend to ask my attorney about this matter bc long as they had their ids and both did so how can they refuse to sell a item to 2 26 year old adults and not to mention how rudely we were spoken too both these cashiers Lied or discrimination against us bc regardless who the cig were for there was proof with 2 different adults and they had no cause to refuse to sell a pack cig not mention their attitude towards all 3 of us. Frankly that's bad business sell some Thing and have to turn round then refuse bc I had no I'd on me. I called asked law enforcement they said as long as their I'd proved Their age then no there is no law bcuz those cashiers did not know the kids well 26 year olds they could buy cig if they wanted too they maybe even smoke too. My kids and my family will no longer shop in this store and family dollar is there to. Plus then out of our way have to go find a gas station just for a pack of cig. Not mention. Lies they told and attitudes. And I know from now own my family won't return & shop at this dollar g'eneral ever again.
vacation pay
I worked for dollar general for 3 years and I decided to leave the company because of the way the district manager verbally bashed me on the phone because I wanted to quit . I think its sad that you can give your all to a job and then when you realize you are never going to be able fulfill your dream with with that company they will not give you your vacation pay... you work all year for that;thats messed up! and whats more, if they would look into that district managers district thay would see that her stores are always needing new managers... I will be contacting the bbb and an attorney. you should give people what they work all year for.
good employee
Know you lost a really good employee from store 11473 who has been with this company for 24 years I was he manager for 11 years and I know she was one of the best workers I ever had she was cheated out of 2 vacations not while I worked I made sure my workers always got their vacations but the district managers always promised her she would get paid for them which never happened. I retired on good terms with this company and gave all I could for it so did this asst. Manager which she never going credit or thank you for all her work I think she deserved better than she got do not know why or how she left but hope you all start treating employees like family again like they used to
excessively loud music.
I was just in the new Dollar General on hwy 45 in Wren Ms this morning. I had to run out. The music was so loud the speakers were distorting. When asked to turn it down the cashier said " I like my music loud. " That may be so, but this is a retail business, not a bar or party. Some of us like to concentrate when we shop. Light background music at about a 3 level is appropriate, not blaring top 40 set on a level 10. bottom line, you are losing money because of this. You need to put in some across the board store guidelines regarding music volume. This is ridiculous.
