customer service
I went to the dollar tree on 8/6/2017 to get coloring book and a few items not really a shopper of the store will go there if my granddaughter wants to go she is only 4 years old the cashier Lori informed me that she heard my granddaughter then we get in line she is ringing me up then she stops to say some rude words to my granddaughter it is not her place to say anything but she rudely is regulating about my granddaughter's behavior i didn't expect that to happen. i was quite surprise because you have to have patience for the public and this lady apparently didn't have empathy for kids.It is not her job to correct a kid she is only getting paid to run the register. i return the grocery basket she was telling the manager about what happened because she thought i was coming back to complain about her, but i knew to contact your company also i did call a 800 number and was referred to the site for corporate office 8/06/17/15:06 Sales Associate Lori

poor customer service - store #138 gastonia nc
I arrived to the above mentioned store around 8:53pm today. As I approached the door a heavy set Caucasian woman came to the door and locked it. I looked at my phone and then at her and said it's not 9pm yet. Her response was "our clocks and register say it is". I explained that I only needed one item that is usually stocked by the register. She proceeded to ignore me so I asked for the corporate number at which time she unlocks the door and says "just come in I'm not going to argue with you about it". On top of the fact that she was locking the door BEFORE the closing time noted on the door and I only needed one item, her comment to me was completely inappropriate and rude, my register receipt shows that even after waiting for the person In front on me to be checked out, it still was not yet 9pm by the time I was checked out. Those that have a problem with customer service (even at closing time) need not work in customer service.
management
I currently just quit store number 7156 last night because the manager Eddie was very rude and unhelpful! I was working register 2 and he was on register 3 I had I long line full of people and the line was beginning to go down the aisle so called for his help he walks to the front of the store and told them they had to wait because he has to clean up soap the customers then became even more angry and began trying to get me some help at the register and saying they were going to call corporate I continued my work to try to get the customers out as fast as I could he finally comes and only took 1 or 2 customers I still had a line full of people. As that is Happening a woman comes in and wanted to do returns I asked him nicely can you please take care of her he then goes to say "well why can't you do it" so I did get upset but I didnt say anything to him I kept army register so once my line got down he then pulls me register one and say " I don't see why you couldn't taken care of her " I then said " Because I had a line full of people and you only had one person." Then he says " well I understand that but still" I said " Eddie I already had a line full of people " so he goes today " well your not about to talk to me like that and some other things but I cut him off and told him I quit and that this job wasn't worth it so I took my badge off clocked out-and walked away before it going of hand. I go to call the store manager Crista and inform her on what happened . I then texted her this morning asking if i was scheduled to work today because I was going to remind her I wasn't coming back. A lot of customers and almost half or most of the staff complains about him and she doesn't do anything about it at all
dirty/nasty/filthy store
I went to a couple dollar trees outside of my neighborhood on yesterday (8/4/17) and was amazed at how clean and tidy the stores are, not to mention the great customer service we received.
The store located at 8721 S. Stony Island in Chicago is disgusting. I don't normally shop at these stores, but saw a product I wanted online - so I went. It was so disgusting I didn't even want to go inside, but I was pressed. I went in and didn't see what was advertised on line at this store, which made me venture out.
In my opinion, and I am not exaggerating, this store should be demolished. From the outside entryway where a good power washing is desperately needed to the dirty, and I mean nasty flooring, to the ceiling that's falling apart - this place is awful and should be closed until completion of renovation. I ask that corporate visit this location and make the necessary decisions to supply this neighborhood with a clean and tidy store. The customer service would most likely be better just from the improvements (happier employees). Please let me know what, if anything will be done to improve the quality of life for this still vibrant neighborhood. We deserve better. Thank you.

customer service from manager store #5428
On August 4th 2017 at approximately 630 pm I was in Dollar Tree located at 115-02 Jamaica Ave Richmond Hill NY 11418, there was one cashier working the lines was very long. I saw a older employer open up register to ring up a young lady myself and another young lady got on that line, "He said to us this line is not open I then said why r u ringing her up he said she works here, she was in civilian clothes her day off. I said to him that's not fair she's a regular customer just like I'm he then very rudely said go back to the other line mind you this young lady that works there on her off day is laughing, I ask to speak to management she the girl he was ringing up said he's the manager. I ask for his name he refused to give it I told him that I was going to file a complaint ""he said you can call whoever you want " close that register down mind you this young lady at the only register open had a lot of people to attend to he didn't even care at all. He was unprofessional and I felt like he was being racist because this young lady was the same nationality as him.

knickeebocker and heart street brooklyn, nyc
I go to the dollar tree in knickeebocker in brooklyn, nyc and the 1st incident I seen when I was online was a young ignorant and very rude black girl tell an elderly women off due to the women adding an extra item after she rang her up. She humiliated the women by cursing her out and telling her to get the [censor] out of her face! Her supervisor brought her to the room to calm her down and she was still disrespectful and loud. The 2nd incident was with my mother she said I don't know why these [censor]ing people can't put back their baskets after they done. My mom responded back to her rude comment she disrespected my mother by telling her I'm not [censor]ing talking to you mind your business and after that I involved myself and told her off right away. I don't know what kind of people you have working in your franchise to represent your company brand it's horrible service and rude workers. As customers no one should be so disrespected. She should be fired for her rudeness and vulgar language and her job.
service
This lady saw me put my basket down, I go to pay she like where is your basket I'm like right there. She told me it goes up front so can you get it and put it up front. That is very rude I've never been into a store and asked to that. Yes dollar tree is cheap but that doesnt mean they need to be rude ! Unexceptablale. I came to buy medicine because I am not feeling well and I have to do her job for her. Something as simple as putting a basket away. If she wasn't so smart when she asked I wouldn't mind. I go to this dollar tree often on international drive In Orlando FL ! Worst service. Actually before I got to pay I unloaded my basket and the cashier was on th phone. I unloaded everything and she tells me she's closed after being on her cell phone. None of cashiers lights were on so no one could tell which lane was open. Horrible service !

August 2, 2017 @13;12 I stop in the Texas City Store located at 3442 Palmer Hwy #424. It was one cashier on floor and I ask her are you working alone are every one at lunch? Her respond was they in office. I was heading to office and about that time the door open out came employee with other people who look like visitors three females and a baby . Then I ask can we get some help in front the line was 15 people long and one cashier. The cashier made comment good luck. The male employee came to the front and said we can only handle one customer at time and you need be quite. The store is always HOT and the customer service is bad. But to tell a CUSTOMER TO BE QUITE.
His words " Lady you need shut up"
dollar tree associate
I stopped by the Dollar Tree in Chester, VA on Jefferson Davis Highway at approximately 2:00pm. on August 2, 2017 to purchase some birthday balloons for my daughter. I asked the employee working "can I get some balloons?" He rudely said, you can if you used the proper grammar and ask "May I " instead. I said ok, whatever. Then while he was annoyingly assisting me, another gentleman customer came over and asked if he was the balloon guy and again he was rude and said "No, I'm not the balloon guy, I'm a human being." The customer looked puzzled and and asked if he was joking and he said, no, I'm not joking. The customer walked away and said he was taking his business somewhere else because he didn't have to take that.
This employee is not good for business, and may speak to someone at the wrong time and chaos may break out in the store around innocent people. Please discipline this employee or better yet remove him from the store.
an employee
Was checking out at my local dollar tree in Cicero NY ( # 2578) on 8/02/2017 around noon when this male employee ..Paul.. Was such a rude person to his female Mgr. . All she did was explain what was to be done on his shift from start to finish and he was throwing a verbal fit like a 12 year old teen. Saying it wont get all done and if his higher up boss doesn't like it he can fire him also that obviously he doesn't realize how busy a wed afternoon can be to ask for such a task to be performed . The female manager was very fair and firm with the response as to .. Don't disrespect me and if this is an issue he can go home and she will stay to finish the shift and notify the higher GM.. The woman cashing me out ( Cindy ) was so embarrassed as this was being said in front of a line of costumers. Even apologized .. As the two ladies continued to cash out people he just stood there back talking out loud.
Why the hell is this guy still employed there? Made it awkward for all. This is not the first time I have had to listen to his loud verbal tantrums. I will continue to shop at this store because of the other great staff and products. How ever if I see or hear Paul back talk out loud again I will say something in the regards of being a grown man and act like one.. Then make a call to higher up.. No one deserves to work with this guys BS or have your costumers feel awkward for just being there..
dollar tree stores
I was in the Irvington, NJ location this evening and i was notified by a manager to leave my company bag at the front of the store. I am seriously appalled by this as two other customers moments later walked pass with backpacks on their back with no type of notice given. Moreover, as I notified the manger on duty about the two customers with backpacks on in plain view there was a selective disregard to the "Profiling" that was demonstrated towards me. The statements then made were that we are aIl women employees and we have the right to enforce whatever policy we choose towards any customer for any reason without an explanation. I must say that if corporate does not correct this issue it can incurr serious legal obstacles concerning discrimination under Title VII 1964 and other vicarious liability clauses enacted in law.
You shouldn't shop at any of the stores it has low income workers with no tack working for them
the stores are mostly filthy so what its a dollar i went there because my Grandbaby wanted a coloring book
and crayons most stores that are cheap like that have over worked and low paying employees with no public manners
counterfeit detector pens, it's basic [censor]!
Was in the Capitol Heights, Med. Store today and had an ugly thing happened to me. I tendered a $100 bill for my purchase and the Store Manager Angela refused to take it. Not because she didn't have the change, but because I was black. And the read is..she's black. Look! There are basic things that should be in place so you guys can do your jobs in a professional manager. And having some type of Counterfeit Detector Pen at the point of sale would be great. The store manager Angela lookd at me and said she couldn't take my money. Counterfeit pens would be great, stop taking it out on the customer
customer service
On the morning of 7/19/17 at 8:23 am I shopped at your # 5034 Store. One cashier only. I arrived home and realized I did not have my wallet. Thinking back I thought I left it at the belt of the checkstand since I got a call and picked up my phone. Went back and Richard said he did not see one. I left my information with the manager to call me if found.
I was frustrated at this point, since I had all my credit cards, drivers license and about 300 dollars in cash in it. I went back again later and asked the manager if you had camera surveillance, and she said no, not there. Looking up I saw cameras and let it be. I felt that she did not care to help me I said I may have to file a police report because I think the wallet was on the belt and moved under the scale. She file a report if you want to but we dont have surveillance there .
I let a few times and only got thru once last week to see if anyone turned it in.
Phone rings no answer almost every time I called.
I called and left a message at your customer service number. No one returned my calls. Very unhappy with the level of customer service I received there or the follow thru . I now have all my credit cards cancelled and not worried about the money I lost but will never go back there again due to the low level of customer service and no courtesy or express of concern for what I have been put thru.
manager on duty
At the checkout line was all the way to the middle of the store, register 1 was the only one that was open.
I went up from the end of the line to register 1 and asked the woman if there was anyone else that could open a second register. Next allowed voice was heard "I can help someone at register 2" I spoke up and directed people and said "the next person in line can go to register number 2" I was about fifth person back, and when I got to the register I tried to give the woman a suggestion, I said "can I give you a suggestion ma'am? The next time you open the register instead of saying I can help someone over there, say I can help the next person in line at register number two" that way there won't be a herd or a stampede of people cutting in front of people who have already waited their turn. The woman rolled her eyes at me took my money never said anything and just put the money and the receipt in my hand, she then grab the next person as items and started scanning them before I was even out of the way. I noticed that her tag on her shirt said manager. She was not very friendly and as you know a person like that Will not have customer retention and I'm sure you know exactly how much it cost to get each customer into your door through advertisement dollars and you need to retain all the customers you can not only that but a toxic manager will not be able to keep good employees, they will seek a more friendly environment for a workplace.
service
8/2/17 @ 2:48pm
I have visited the location at 6812 Reisterstown Road, Baltimore, MD 21215 Store #703several times and every time I say I am not going to return. The location is filthy and the staff are rude and very unprofessional. Today I experienced a foreigner purchase items, ask for another bag to put her cold ice cream in and the cashier, Dejhonae told her no I am not giving you another bag. She didn't greet that customer, myself or the customer after me. I have made several complaints at that location even to the manager. Nothing has been done if anything the service is worse. I will not be returning and will encourage others to not return either.
hours
On 8/1/17 I arrived at the Dollar Tree Pittsburg, Ca location @ 8:57pm. To be informed by Jennifer employee who was playing security guard that the store was closed because her cashier had to leave at 9pm. I explained to Jennifer I needed 1 item she refused to let me in so I'm filing a complaint with you and the better business hours the posted hours states 9pm not 8:57 how many other customers is Jennifer and or Co-Wk doing this to. Also there is no form that just readily available to file complaints with this company that's something that should have been addressed prior to opening the locations
Went to your Pittsburg, Ca location just before closing on 8/1/17 and was told by Jennifer her cashier had to leave at 9pm and they weren't allowing anyone else in the store it's states the store closed at 9pm on the door. But employee wouldn't allow me to enter store and it was business hours even if I had 5 minutes before closing. Why should the customer have to suffer the consequences of Jennifer behavior please address this issue with this employee ASAP
customer service
I visited the 17th Street Causeway location with the goal to exchange and purchase an item. Upon my arrival the item I wanted to exchange, I brought up to the register with a middle aged Spanish woman with curly short brown blondish hair. The first problem with this woman was there was no greeting when I was near her just a scowl to scare the meanest of men away. Secondly she didn't attempt to inquire what I might need to do with the item I placed at her station, so that I didn't waste my time and not accomplish what I set out to do in that store. The reason why I made mention of her lack of Inquiry is because I later found out rudely and abruptly that she was the store "manager"?! I continued on in what I was there to do and I went to a lane that was moving quicker than hers. When I was next to check out I informed the cashier checking me out that the item I had to exchange was in fact at the so called "managers" register. Once I got my item all of a sudden the "manager" starts to flex her managerial muscles yelling across at me, "Do you have your receipt?". When I said I did not have it she started getting more disrespectful rolling her eyes and yelling over at me again" If you don't have the receipt then we won't take anything back." Now where this sounds harmless in theory this women who is the "manager" could have handled this differently. It's like she was seeking out to embarrass me about a dollar item. She was a Spanish women, degrading a black woman at a dollar tree about a 1$ item. Seriously? What type of manager is that? And the reason why I brought up the race of each of us is because I have been at this location before and seen white patrons exchange without receipts with no problems. This was just an exercise of poor judgement and poor managerial skills. I did not choose to argue that fact as it would have fallen poorly upon me. So I took to the complaint board to solve this issue. And truly hope it is in fact taken seriously, as the next black women will not treat matters like this in the same regard. Thank you
harassment complaint
I was in the Irvington, NJ location this morning with my fiancee and i happened to be on a very important phone call; but as we were walking in a store associate begins following us and saying excuse me you know you can't be in here so when i turn around i realize that she's speaking to my fiancee.
I then end my call because I'm trying to find out what she's talking about so she says you can stay but he has to leave and I'm asking her why and she says my manager said you can't be in here and again i ask why she said because you steal from here, so we ask to see the manager and she says she's in the front so we go to the front looking for that manager and no one responds so i tell him let's get what we came for but he goes back to the young lady and asks where's the manager eventually we find her and ask why he can't be in the store, she then goes i never said you couldn't be in here but the cops are all around here which was irrelevant to our questions so i said again let's just get what we came for then some guy comes up asking my fiancee why he's talking to his sister like that and i tell him he should mind his business, he then tells me that i need to watch my mouth now it becomes a screaming match between all of us and the both of them are threatening us so my fiancee says let's just go because I'm not spending my money in here. Being someone who worked in retail for many years i know that is not effecting these people at all and i feel something should be done about this situation because I've never been treated like this in my life and i didn't appreciate being treated like this when this was our second time ever being in this store and I assure you that he has never stolen anything from this store.
Thank you in advance
