no air and no handicapped accessible wheelchairs
I was in the moundsville wv dollar tree and there was no air conditioning. Not only was my husband and I pouring sweat but the poor employees were as well. I also noticed a lady with oxygen and she was having a hard time breathing. I asked her if she was ok and she was extremely hot. She had to leave. I am from Tennessee and am on vacation. I wanted to visit different dollar trees and it's a nice store just to hot to shop in. I noticed there were carts with cars for kids but not one single handicapped cart at all. I don't understand this. I asked an employee if the air was broken and she said "it's been like like this since I've been working here since 2009. I'm sorry but I think that's inhumane to treat employees this way. I've been to many dollar trees and have never been in on that hot. I don't understand why you don't help them. Please fix this for your employees
customer service
I'm not writing to complain, but to tell the corporation how well this location is doing. I attend the dollar tree located at 7430 brookpark rd, cleveland, oh 44129 (store #250), and I love this location! I go to this store about 3 to 4 times weekly. The staff is very helpful, your sales rep. Buanita is amazing in everything she does. She is more than willing to help and her customer service is the best. Cassie is another cashier at the location and she to is very helpful. The manager katie, (I believe that's her name) is the icon of that store. Overall, the corporate needs to recognize the entire staff for their hard work and dedication. These employee's are very critical to this store and its location. The store is always clean and well organized. They know me and my husband and two little boys very well. They always greet us upon arrival and before we leave. I will only go to this location, this is the best location out of all the dollar trees around my residence. I feel like i'm appreciated for coming there and I feel welcomed every visit. Sometimes I do have to wait to be rung out, but that's due to how many customers are there, it's not due to them being slow or goofing off, they ring people out really fast. But, because of how awesome they all do, it don't feel like i'm waiting. These women are able to get all staff and customers talking with each other while we all wait to cash out. You have an exceptional staff at this location and they need a staff like this at the memphis ave location in cleveland oh, that location is not organized or friendly at all. At the memphis location, they make you feel rushed and make you feel unwelcomed. You need to make store 250 your icon for addressing other locations. Because of the staff at the brookpark rd location, I will continue to shop there 3 to 4 times a week. I hope corporate values their staff and appraises these hard working women at the brookpark rd location, because without the staff there, that store wouldn't run the great way it does and it wouldn't be a high volume store. So to everyone at the brookpark rd location, keep up the amazing work and continue to rock on and also thank you for all the help you have given me over the years. I appreciate you all.
Also, please note, I said all the staff was amazing. So ALL staff needs to be appraised. I just cant remember everyone's name.
unethical behaviour
I will try to be as polite as possible but if I am going to go into detail I will need to let you know the language the Dollar Tree employee used and how she treated me, I will abbreviate so you can get the gist of this traumatizing incident. I am writing you to tell you about a frightening and one of the worse experiences I have ever had that took place on July 9, 2017, at the Spokane, WA Dollar Tree store at 12121 East Sprague. The incident occurred about 8:55 pm about 5 minutes before the store was supposed to close for the night. I had just attended my best friends funeral earlier that day and my daughter and I had stopped at the Grocery Outlet Store next to the Dollar Tree and then wanted to run into the Dollar Tree quickly for one specific item as to run in and run out fast. We were aware it was close to closing but we also knew we should have time to run in quickly as to not make another trip the next day. As we entered the front doors we were greeted very rudely by, I was told the night manager or shift lead for that specific night. There were so much commotion and total jaw-dropping experience, I know I looked at her name tag but for the life of me as I write this email I cannot remember her name but it would be easy to find out who was working on the night in question? I was expecting to get the normal greeting as I usually get every time I go to one of your stores which are Welcome to Dollar Tree but instead I got basically get the heck out of my store it's closing time, this store manager was snapping at everyone in the store and ordering them around. There were only 3 other customers in the store at this time and everyone would have been out of the store had the night manager conducted herself in a professional manner and treated the customers with respect? Just because a few customers came into the store a couple minutes before closing there is no call for the treatment this employee displayed. There is a way of doing things and talking to people so they don't feel threatened. When I walked into the store and was so rudely greeted by this person I just told her I had one item to get I knew exactly where it was and I would basically be in and back out of the store in a minute time. The store managers behavior that night was the reason there was a delay. On my way out the door, I happened to mention to the store employee that she could use some better customer service skills and that her body language and snappy tone of voice said it all. This person became totally unglued at this time as I was exiting the store and started calling me names telling me to get my big fat [censor] out of her F-ing store, she said it over and over again she would not let it go. As I said earlier I was already trying to exit the store I wasn't planning on taking up residency? I was in such disbelief I couldn't believe what just happened and my daughter had to witness the whole scary ordeal. The store manager got right in my face calling me a fat [censor] and how we shouldn't have come into the store a couple minutes before closing time? It was obvious that all she cared about was hurrying and getting out of there. I have worked as a cashier and store supervisor for years and someone always comes in right before closing it's always a given. Even after we had exited the store and the employee locked the doors she continued to act like a crazy person still yelling through the glass how fat I was as there was still one customer at the register and the cashier in the store. She then grabbed her phone and yelled she was calling the police and I'm thinking, for what I did not do anything? I feel I needed to call the police on her she was acting like a complete Psyco. She was the one causing all the commotion and being aggressive, all this over me telling her she might need some more customer service training? I have never experienced an employee of a public store act in such a disturbing manner? My daughter was standing there with such a look on her face I think this incident has scarred her for life? Needless to say I hung around waiting for the police to arrive and told them the whole story but of course, they got a completely different story from her. She actually told them I assaulted her which did not happen, I am sure you can go through the store video surveillance tapes and find proof that she was the aggressive one. Had the officer actually believed her story of assault I would have been arrested on the spot but they did not. It is obvious she is not mature enough for a job that requires such responsibility? The night manager at this store looks to need more supervision she appeared to not even like her job? I shop at this store often and I have never seen her in the store I have never had a problem with other employees of the store. I just don't like rude customer service. It is such a shame that a person cannot even go out in public to grab a few necessary items and have to put up with such abuse from a store employee? It makes you not even want to be around people at all. If I had acted in the manner this employee conducted herself I would have been fired on the spot. I am a professional business owner in the Spokane area. The whole incident could have been avoided if the employee had actually enjoyed her job and working with the public and had the skills to handle it. I was told by the officer that I was not allowed to go back into that store? I did not do anything that should have resulted in me being banned from the store? I did ask the employee who her supervisor was and she told me it was none of my business and to get my fat [censor] out of the store, I am still in sh ock over the entire incident. I would like the proper investigation and disciplinary policy conducted to look into this matter. You can contact me at the above email address. I look forward to hearing back from you. I have also sent a letter to Virginia and I have called the only number for customer support to report this incident. I would hope the Dollar Tree Corporation would care about their customers and their welfare while shopping in your stores. I would be apt to let the whole thing go if it had not been so horrific and traumatizing. This is something that people do in bars when drunk or on drugs when their personalities are altered, not in the workplace in front of other customers and other employees? I don't know why it is so difficult to get a hold of higher rank employees with your company? I am sure this employee in question thinks she can get away with treating people badly because she knows it is difficult for customers to make a complaint and get justice? I have already written several letters and emails, made calls to the stores asking for the district manager and no one seems to know anything? I would really like this matter resolved and the employee properly disciplined as there was no call for her behavior whether she liked what I said or not. I get a long with everyone but if I think someone is being rude I'm not afraid to voice it like a lot of people. I will be patiently awaiting your
response. Thank you.

bad employee services!!!
I go to the dollar tree in los banos next to food 4 less.
99% of the employees are sweet and caring! Beside one, her name is jessica she is so rude! She's rude to customers and employees and to make things better she's a manager! In my opinion a manger should never treat her employees or customers! Disrespectful! I asked the young lady who was at the register she told, that she's scared of her too. How can you work in a work environment scared? That's disrespectful and rude!

unethical behavior from dollar tree employee
On july 14, 2017 I visited the dollar tree in atlanta georgia, east point georgia 30337, located inside the market place shopping complex. I am a disabled 54 year old mother of 5. On july 14, 2017 I was standing in line with my cain, struggling to stand. The black male employee, (James j.) refuse to ring my order up and said he was not ringing me up, that he needed to go outside to collect shopping carts. The manager told him to ring me up and he continued outside to gather shopping carts. When james returned inside he looked at me and began to laugh. He told the customer behind me to come to his register so that he could ring her up. I asked him, so your gonna skip over me and ring someone else up even after I waited until collected shopping carts out side? He... Said..."I dont give a dam about what you are talking about!... Then the manager said... Why are you talking to her that way?... (He stated)... I dont give a [censor]... Yall already know how I am! I dont give a [censor]! He turned to me and said... ("look at you with your bald head, looking like denis rodman"!)... I dont take no [censor] off no one!... I said to him... (" is that the way your gonna talk to a disabled customer?.. And I stated that I was going to contact coporate... He said... ("I dont care who you call, do you want to use my phone!)... He said... (" you need to go and get your hair done!... Ha. Ha. Ha.") several customers told him to stop talking to a disabled person that way... (He said)... (" dollar tree already know how I am, so do what you got to do!) I was humiliated, degraded, embarrassed, and ashamed of the way that james j. Treated a disabled person in the store. I was in fear of my life and I called 911, because the manager could not control him, and he stated that he would call his gang to attack me. I am calling my attorney because as a disabled person and a dollar tree customer, I feel as if I should have never been treated this way. I am taking this all the way to the supreme courts, because no one should be threatened and talked about in the way that he did. If you roll back then camera you will witness the ugly details of how he disrespected me and I am disabled. The managers name is renice, and she stated that she would not write him up, and that dollar tree would not do anything to her about his behavior during her shift. I will be contacting micheal the store manager in the morning when I awake, because just because its dollar tree disabled customers or anyone should be threatened and disrespected in this way. The store phone number is [protected]. Marketplace blvd east point ga [protected]. Time of visit according to my receite is 7/14/17 18:22 my name is pamela rochelle youmous. A disabled united states citizen who purchases many items from dollar tree to support homeless people, and less fortunate individuals. My non-profit organization rely on dollar tree, but I will never go to that dollar tree until this gang member is fired, terminated, or arrested. My number is 470/798/7216. My resolution to this issue is to terminate, james j. And the manager on duty who has experience many problems with this employee. If you would look closely to his job complaints I know that you will see that his anger and gangster mentality is not welcomed in camp creek. This black male employee, is a negative approach for dollar tree. Because of him there were several customers who were apauled at his behavior and the non-action of the manager, because he stressed that dollar tree already knows how dangerious he is. I am going to sue dollar tree for discrimination against a disabled person.
extremely poor service
The dollar tree on 555 state st Springfield ma has a young man working at 7 pm on Friday July 14 who was very rude and hung up on my face on3 seperate occasions I asked if he had mirrors in the store he said that he had a lot of customers in front of him I asked if he was able to answer my question he proceeded to say he could not hear me I spoke louder and he told me my phone was messed up I have a brand new phone I recently purchased he then hung up . I called again and he let it ring for more then a minute he then answered but did not say anything . I hung up and called for the last time he answered I asked if he had a manager I could speak to and he said that he does not and that he told me already he couldn't hear me and that my phone was breaking up and hung up on me again . I do know good customer service and it's unfortunate that one can not call your store to find out a simple question .
I am not complaining about your products in complaining about a manager.
I was at your store in chestnut commons in elyria ohio which I frequent several times a week. One cashier was working and had a line. A couple purchased 15 balloons, the cashier requested help from her manger whose name was jewel. The manager who was stocking shelves acknowledged she heard her request. After waiting several minutes and the cashier repeatedly apologizing to other customers I went to the manager jewel and asked if she was going to assist customers and her associate. After she huffed and puffed and literally drug her feet to the registers she assisted the couple with their balloons. I am a nurse and I perform customer service everyday and by far that was the saddest display if leadership and customer service I have ever witnessed. It is sad that a customer has to request that a store manger stop stocking shelves that were already stocked to assist the customer which is what your business needs to survive. I will definitly think twice beforw walking into that store Gain to apend my money.
popcorn and blonde haired rude girl manchester nh
I bought brim cheddar popcorn. It was like little plastic peices. When I tried to bring it back the first girl didn't know what to do which I completely understand she went and got a blonde haired girl who was extremely rude and said she can't exchange it because I opened it I said how am I supposed to know what it was like if I didn't open it she said it was my fault for getting popcorn at the dollar store she kept calling them kernels and all popcorn have kernels I kept trying to tell her that it was not kernels she again told me it was my fault for buying popcorn at the dollar store if I wanted better quality I needed to go to a different store and pay $4 she talked to me like I was stupid and how dare I try to come in her store and exchange something I am positive I'm not the only one that complained about this horrible popcorn I've tried going on their website to file a complaint but it sends me in circles there's no way to contact this business and complain to a district manager this is not how you run a business there was a line of people and she was trying to embarrass me all I asked was to exchange it for something else she said I can't do that because you opened it I said hi again how am I supposed to tell what it's like if I don't open it how was I supposed to know that it was like plastic I know it's not typical popcorn it was not edible and even my children who eat anything couldn't swallow it
the store manager
would like to make an complaint about the manager of the New Rochelle Dollar Tree her name is Diane I am a steady customer who spends hundreds of dollars a week I'm there almost every day I went in today to try to get change because my little brother was going to miss his bus and needed money for his trip every cashier I asked for change denied me so I went to go buy a bottle of soda and simply said I met now I can get change right so then the lady said that I was rude and refused to check me out so now I've been standing in line for 10 minutes she refuses to check me out I go and stand on another line for another 20 minutes just for the cashier to tell me she just started and didn't have enough change when I asked for the manager's name the lady said that she is the FN manager to not spell her name wrong embarrassing me in front of many other people but when I tried to look at her name tag she kept covering it I had to call the store later on and ask for her name in order to get it this is not the first time I've seen her be rude to customers whenever a customer is upset about how the store is running she gets an attitude with them and then calls the other workers to vouch her when they ask to make a complaint not only did this woman embarrassment but she made my brother Miss his ride costing me more money to pay for a cab for him all because this lady had to exercise her power as manager now I know how all those other people felt that I seen get into arguments with her just for her to refuse service to them because she felt insulted it's not right that she picks and chooses when she wants to be in a good mood nor is it right that the other workers vouch for her whenever someone tries to complain if you would like to contact me for any more information my phone number is [protected] if we could please do something about this woman like I said I enjoy going to your snort on a daily basis and frankly I don't feel comfortable going back in there if she is working she is not a nice person at all and it does not deserve to be in a position of power people like her abused the power they are given and uses the her word against theirs to her advantage I do not want to see anybody lose their job and nor am I trying to get anything for free all I want is some acknowledgement that this was red and maybe an apology from her for embarrassing me and it causing me more trouble than I was already in after being a loyal customer thank you for your time
wine glasses
I was in your California Maryland store on 7/11/17. I had 8 wine glasses which were located behind multiple boxes of items. There was a $.59 tag in front of the glasses. I had to actually get my granddaughter to reach in and get the glasses for me. When I got to the register the glasses rang as $1.oo. I informed the cashier that the sign said $.59. She talked with Keyona who was the store manager and she when back to look at he sign. Keyona came back and said that price was for coke glasses. There was no coke glasses on the shelf and the sign was in front of the wine glasses. The detail of the sign were unreadable from where I stood because of all the merchandise in front of it. I believe I should have been charged $.59 because the sign was in front of the glasses I purchased and because the sign was not readable to know that it was placed in the wrong place. I was in the store that day before also and all of the isles had merchandise in the isles and made in hard for customers to get around in the store. I have picture to show the merchandise in the isle and to show that the sign indicatimng $.59.

I shop in this store quite often and on this visit I placed several items in my cart and at this time i had 4 bottles of Body Wash bottles in my hands ready to put them in my cart when this employee started yelling at me (very loudly) about opening some other bottles. I never opened anything and did not even look at what she was accusing me of. I told her several times that I had not opened anything, yet she continued to berate me. Another lady came by and said she did he same thing to her. Yet there were kids running all over the store handling and opening items. She said nothing to their parents who were not watching their children. This loud woman named Christine is always yelling at the customers.
Additionally they were offering a discount.for today only. I made my purchases and put them in the car remembering I had forgotten a few things. I returned to the store and picked up the things i had forgotten when this Christine approached me again and said I had already received my discount and could not get it again. She followed me to the cashier and made sure that i did not get the discount. My husband was with me and he made this purchase. When I returned home I looked up the discount and it stated one per customer, not one household as she had indicated. I was very upset when I left the store and wanted to post a complaint to corporate yet could not find an email address. I think all businesses should have some address so you will be able to file a complaint.
Additionally, this happened today with Christine at the Bluffton, SC store.
worker harassment
Can someone kindly inform the employees at store #4840 at 1959 State Road 7, Hollywood Fl,
33023
that customers don't want to chat with them about their personal lives? Once an employee refused to give me my receipt unless I said hello to her, saying that "I didn't talk to her enough". Another time a different employee asked me if she could have my change. They should act professionally and not irritate people.
Another example can be found at 7/10/17, at 20:57 in which an employee decided to lunge across the counter and starts waving her hands too near my face, asking me what I planned to do with the items I was buying. I asked her to leave me alone, and she then said that I shouldn't come to the store unless I wanted to talk to her. I didn't say anything at all, and she then refused to bag some of my items and threw my change on the counter, also claiming that I smelled, I have to say if I smelled bad she shouldn't want to talk to me. I only said thanks and then I left. If you guys have cameras you can see this activity, also I'd appreciate a gift card for having to listen to and write this nonsense. People come to a store to shop and buy things, they shouldn't be harassed by the workers.
service
Every time I go into the Pitkin Ave. store in Brooklyn they have long lines and only one person working the register. The manager is always in his office and I have NEVER seen him come out to help the line. I just walked in a few minutes ago and saw the long line again and people upset and I walked out again. I am going to stop going to this store until they get more help and a NEW WORKING MANAGER.

service of employee
I went to dollar tree store #1852. My cashier, Anette, was extremely rude to multiple customers. The man in front of me said he freqents that dollar tree and hasnt seen her before, she said shes been there for months but "only works 5-6 hours a week and thats enough for me". He took his things and left. I had 15 items and she never looked at me or spoke to me, but she was trying to have a conversation with a customer behind me and my friend. She even took out her phone trying to find pictures while ringing my items up! I gathered my things (she handed me my receipt without looking at me either) i waited on my friend who asked her to start ringing her items up as she was in a hurry to get home. The employee handed her phone to the customer she was trying to talk to and told her to "open her instagram app". She was hastily rining my friend up and seemed to be ringing items up wrong. Ive never seen a ruder employee at a dollar tree. I wont be returning to that store. If i see this employee at another store, i wont shop there either. She hates her job & ruined my shopping with my friend with her hateful attitude.
red drinking mugs
I purchased two red drinking mugs, but after washing them they start peeling off like cellophane. I did not have my receipt from the store, but I thought I would be able to exchange them for plain glasses. The store clerk stated that she would have to call the manager. When I told them that they started to peel when I wash them. The Clerk stated "You washed them, we can not take them back after you washed them, and besides they were only $1.00 each. I have bought many things at Dollar Tree and was never treated so rudely by the clerk and manager. Don't everyone wash their glasses before drinking out of them. I think you need to make sure that all of your mugs and glasses that are colored do not peel. The store that I went to was on Wilson Mills Road in Richmond Hts., Ohio.
employees working off the clock
So I work at 04861 ...kannapolis NC ..My store manager has been on vacation for a week. Darning that week our part time asst mgr was in the store many times and many hours and not even getting paid...Ask around Darning the week of 7/2 threw 7/8. Now if someone is crazy to work for free ..we normally I would be like it's you no one has told you, you got to work for free.. So why am I complaining ..1) this mgr has been told repeatedly not to work off the clock by SM.(2) Customers think we have more help in store and that employee won't help..How do I as a non management employee to say ? Ummmmm well she is not really suppose to be here she off ...Then the customer gets mad because of it at ME..Well why can't she be off over here helping us getting out of here ..I am floored that the excuse is the full time asst Manager doesn't fell ...So my opinion have her go home and you clock in and help ..(3) the fact that they complain about the same stuff we have to get done and we do it and more ..we always have better numbers than them. And they get to bring in free help ..Why can my friends not co. Help me do my job they are just sitting on couch with nothing to do lol...I am sure you get my drift ...(4) I would think it's got to be policy as much as SM ask are you on the clock? Did you clock in yet ? No you can't do anything until your scheduled time you are not on the clock. So I must say dollar tree wants you to get paid for what you do, just sometimes feels like there idea of enough help is different than ours ...
It just makes it harder on cashiers and freight team to know who we are suppose to call or ask ...they us feel like idiots when you say hey can you ? Response is ; no I am off the clock ...But you can help a manager not us...just doesn't seem to be helping at all working without getting paid just more to explain and figure out...(5) but I promise as long as the two do this the pt asst mgr keeps going out to smoke with ft asst mgr and when we need them well no need to call a code cause they can't hear you out side ...ok so why do I come here to complain about free help? Well I can go to mgr but she has to wait until she sees it .. Because no security cams here ...so please unless we all can bring our own help or maybe y'all consider allowing a little more staff let's all just get paid for what we do...Mgrs should set the example for us ...policy is there for a reason...follow it ! Or don't inforce employees to .
employee named chris at store #4557
Today 7/8/17 the power at store #4557 shut down due to a storm. While waiting for the register system to reboot, cashier Antwan was very friendly and consoling with regards to our wait. However, cashier Chris was very rude, suggesting that our items were not worth the wait and that had it been him in our shoes he would just leave. Chris made myself and other customers feel unwelcome and rushed to leave. Chris's behavior was extremely unprofessional and unnecessary. Please coach Chris on how to be more welcoming and friendly towards Dollar Tree customers like Antwan was. I would not like another dissatisfying experience. Thank you.
