district manager - dan
I was not impressed with my first encounter/meeting with Dan. I have never meet him prior to today, however, the complaints that I have heard from other associates and managers sure rang true. He is a person that leads by intimidation, harassment, and shows blatant disrespect to anyone that questions his directives or criticizes "his way" of doing things. His lack of professionalism is just more evidence that he is not qualified to manage people. He has a narcissist attitude. Now i see first hand why so many managers and associates are leaving Dollar Tree. At the store i was helping out today, they have been without a manager since June! The moral is so low that three more associates are leaving that store within a week or so. I stock at many stores to help out. Today I was working on Halloween candy, decorations, etc.. That's when Dan walked into the store, several hours after I started my shift. Having never meet him before, I greeted him like I do every customer, the way we are trained to greet customers. He then asked, who are you? That he didn't
know I was working at this store because no one got his approval. After showing Dan the section I was working on, the first thing he said was that it was all wrong! Thanks! Moral at each of these stores is very low, the turnover rate shows this fact. Dollar Tree is not losing good associates, they are losing good PEOPLE! People that have been there for years! That's one of Dan's problems, just like he said to me today, we are replaceable! We are just associates! So today, he asked me to point out the problems that I saw in the store. I laid out several, and with each one I could tell he was getting more agitated by the things I was telling him. At first, I thought perhaps he really understood, but when he had me meet him in the stock room I found out differently. Everything that i showed him and shared with him as problems that I see, he took personal. He got extremely defensive and at that point I left the stock room, nothing left to be said. I returned to stocking. Five minutes later he told me to log out and go home! I mean really? Can I stop at the store first Dan? This was not professional, he took my conversation with him personal! Poor management response. Look, I am 64 years old. 100% disabled veteran. I am retired. This job supplements my income. I don't have to work. This is NOT about me! This is about the good people i have meet at the various stores and to hear how they are being treated. People that depend on this job. People that really need the money. These are people young and old. Future managers, stable cashiers, Dan is causing to leave. Who needs it for $8.25 an hour? People get hired by managers. Their loyalty to the manager goes a long way to a successful store! When you burn out the managers, or treat them like fools, associates see this and moral goes down. Do more, get nothing in return except do more! That is the Dan way!
manager archer or archie's refusal to check my merchandise, verbal abuse and very nasty attitude.
When the checker's register in the line I was next in, failed, Manager Archie opened his register. He not only refused to check me next, he was verbally abusive, saying, " I'm not studying her [censored]." He proved that he doesn't want my business, my relatives, my friends nor my neighbors shopping in his store anymore. I told him I was next and he lost hi...

When I finally got to the cashier to ring up my 2 items, I asked her where her help was. (there were 12 more in line after me and I waited in line for sometime) She snapped back at me "I am the only cashier, I don't got a problem with it. Do you?" I calmly said " No need to get defensive with me on a question." She said they said they never have 2 cashier...

Cashier Tiffany requested cashier back-up/help over the intercom. Her line had about 8+ people in it, as the store was quite busy, and she was the only cashier. I was in the store around 20 minutes and this was the only time she asked for help. In the aisle over from me, I heard in a very loud and angry voice, "Oh my God, Tiffany, again!?" I felt the...

On 8/11/2019 around 12:30pm, I went to the Dollar Tree store (Sandersville Georgia) to purchase some items that I had coupons for. Ms. Ginger stated that she could not accept the coupons even though it stated any kind. It did not have a count but it did show picture of that product in a 6 or 12 counts. The product that I had was a six count but she still refuse to accept it stating that her store manager said that she couldn't. Ms. Ginger was so rude and when I asked for the corporate number she stated that she didn't have it and that it should be on my receipt. She then got the items and took them away without asking me did I still want them. When I got my receipt the corporate number was not on here, therefore I had the cashier to call her back up there to the register so that I could ask her again for the phone number to the corporate office. When she came back she was once again very rude and went into the office to get the number. After about 5-7 min of waiting on her to come back she came out and handed me a piece of paper with a number on it. I went to my car and called the number which was incorrect. I wrote the correct number down on my receipt and took it in to her but I had to give it to the cashier because went walked out and sat on the sidewalk to smoke a cigarette. Ms. Ginger was absolutely rude and need to be trained on the proper way to treat customers.
customer service
I am complaining about your E Patchogue store in E Main St. You have 2 cashier's there that are clueless. One was transferred from another store(she seems to have some kind of issue) and the other is make African American. Neither one knows when to call for help when the line is down the aisle. I asked a floor associate to get the manager but to no avail. while the woman was ringing the gentleman could have opened his register but stood there clueless. You had two good managers in there(Tiffany and then John) You have a night manager (Danielle) these people always jumped in the register when needed no matter what they were doing. This store should be closed or get cashier's that know what the hell they are doing. I rather go out if my way to the sunrise highway store in East Patchogue then go around the corner to this one. Get the night cashier Nina with Danielle train these people. Toni Damianakis [protected]
I have worked retail for 20yrs. I do have patients. I even stuck up for this store to the district managers face. These two particular cashier's have to Know when to call for back up and not stand there like a deer caught in head lights watching the line grow longer. Any large retail store would have fired them. Everything is about customer service. That's what brings the customers back. No I won't go to that particular store again. I will go out of my way to the other one.
my receipt and the petty over charge.
I visited your store #4469 on 8/9/2019.
I am a regular customer at the Dollar Tree I go to.(#3607)
Never had a problem there. Even when it's busy at the store with long lines.
With that said the items, I bought at Dollar Tree were 3 boxes of allergy pills, 1 Cranberry Blend, 1 sweet and spicy, .
Each item is a $1.00. I bought 5 ITEMS Which will be $5.00 plus tax.
The cashier said the total was $6.00.
So I guess each item is 25 cents tax each?
I asked for the Receipt before she threw it in the garage can.
I did add picture of the receipt she gave me that day. Also I added a receipt from the regular Dollar Tree I usually go to which is what Receipt is suppose to look like.
Now I want to know what is really going on here.
There is nothing wrong with the receipt one has a survey the other one doesn't.
harassed by manager melinda
I walked in the store at 8:30 pm for some last minute school supplies. I was greeted with "You only have 15 minutes". Okay, so I began to shop and they announce on the intercom at least 4 times that they are closing soon and to proceed to check out. As I am checking out with the cashier Jessica, the manager (Melinda) walks up to my basket with my purse...

I went to the Dollar Tree today (8/9/19) at 1 PM to purchase some balloons. There was one cashier helping a long line of customers and no one at the balloon counter. After waiting for a few minutes and noticing there were three associates in the office next to the balloon counter laughing and joking loudly enough to hear through the walls, I knocked on the door and asked if one of them would be able to help me. One associate informed me in a patronizing tone calling me "dear" that I would have to wait for the one working sales associate to finish with the line of six customers she was ringing up. Another associate that came out of the office stated to the first one they didn't have the capability to inflate balloons at that time, something was wrong with the helium tank. None of the associates were courteous enough to involve me in that part of the conversation. They simply walked off until I said, "It's not working?" Then the first tossed a "No" over her shoulder. As a consumer I don't have high expectations for customer service in the Dollar Tree, but I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the basic courtesies. Big thumbs down for today's visit.
service
I forgot my card in the house and i didnt notice about it. I only have 60$ on cash. I was going to buy some stuffs for our home, were in rush because my baby is sick, so we only get what we really need, and leave the other stuff in the cart, the 3 cashiers there get mad because we didnt buy all the things in our cart, one cashier shouted that "dont buy if...

A few days ago I visited one of your stores and with my last little bit of money purchased food items which me and my 3 year old needed to eat to survive. We are currently homeless and staying at a hotel. I have no stove and rely on microwaveable food. To my dismay all of food from the freezer was freezer burnt and the lunchables I bought the meats were no good. We only had a couple cans of soup left so I fed that to my daughter and I couldn't eat. Something needs to be done. I am a frequent shopper of your stores and have never had this problem before. Also my first time visiting this location. Makes me don't even want to go back and tell everyone I know about it. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time
sales associate was rude
The bike rack was full, i was going to buy a bike chain in the store.. I brought in my bike and trailer that my 2 kids were in and parked it against the wall and out of the way. The associate made me leave the store stating i couldn't park the bike there. I explained and showed her that there wasnt any secure place for my bike and trailer and i didnt want it stolen (it cost me 800$ total). She ordered me to leave and said she didnt care. I asked to talk to a manager and she said she was
store conditions
I visited there for the first time. I walked in and the store was horrible. It wasn't just messy and half empty but it was filthy. I am retired now but i managed a family dollar store for years. I was also a district manager and these store conditions were horrible. The employees were standing around and talking and laughing. There was no interaction with the customers at all. There were carts of freight in the aisles but no one working on them. I rarely complain but these conditions were unacceptable to us as customers. I walked out with nothing i couldn't buy anything there it was dirty. I hope someone looks into the conditions there soon.
complaint on store at 1759 thierer rd., madison wi 53704
I would like to express my concerns about the Dollar Tree on Thierer Rd in Madison WI. The store always seems to be dirty and the shelves never seem to be fully stocked. There are boxes waiting in the isles to be put away. The floor looks like it never gets swept and the bathrooms are also very dirty. It is not right that I have to travel further to shop at a clean store. I doubt that I will return to this store location until it is up to match the other Dollar Tree locations. The cashiers have always been pleasant and perhaps a clean store may help with keeping employees. I have been at this location and there was only one cashier and no one else working at that time. Dollar Tree is a fun store to shop at and I hope you can fix the problems at this location. Thanks.

August 7, 2019 at 12:46pm. I went to pick up a few things and was amazed at what I saw. There were 3 men walking around talking on the phone and in and out of the office not busy doing anything while one lonely cashier handled customers. There were 15 people in line and when I asked if someone could help ring customers, I was told no. Ridiculous!'n Poor Kelley was on her own! You cashiers should not have to carry the entire store. When workers at present they need to be helping customers!

We have been going to this store for 15 years . About 2 years ago management changed and ever since this store is circling the drain. Now the shelves are barely stocked and I know its not due to product moving out the door. The store was busier 2 years ago than it is now and now it's open fewer hours and it's a total mess. It's sad when you see an elderly...
