Windows
We purchased an older home and decided to go with Lowes for replacement windows due to a sale they were having. The installation dept and contractor was very nice about keeping us updated on the order.
It took 6 to 8 weeks for the order and then the virus hit. It delayed the installation, which was understandable. After several months later, the installation date was suppose to be today. I had the blinds, sheers off windows, furniture moved away for easier access to the windows and the phone rang. The contractor said someone with a forklift had broken the windows that had been stored there at the store. Not only my windows were broken, other expensive entry doors were damaged. The employee that damaged these items did not report what happened. The contractor notified corporate offices and is trying to work with the manager. No updates as yet.
Now, we have to wait another 6 to 8 weeks for a reorder. Unbelievable.
I will not use Lowes again for windows. This is not the first time we have had trouble with Lowes. We are done. This was Steubenville Ohio location.

It is absolutely absurd that I have to sign in to look for various items I want to price and do comparison shopping.
Why ? why is Lowes so exclusive that you are eliminating many handyman "joe" and laymen who want to purchase items or review products.
When I try to get in with my email and password, that does not work either.
At this point of life with the Coronavirus etc you should be thrilled to get additional business. You are doing EXACTLY the opposite.
How stupid is that. This executive decision to close or stop a good part of your customers NOT to shop at Lowes must make you all feel good!

Maytag washing machine
I bought a Maytag washer and dryer from our local Lowes and purchased a 3 year extended warranty. Last week the agitator broke off.
Called the Warranty Number provided and waited on line for an hour or more and they set me up with National Appliance Repair for a serviceman to come out and repair my washer the following Wednesday. I received a call from them 2 hours before the scheduled time telling me to ignore the message from the Warranty Office because the serviceman would not be there. I am a widowed single woman holding down a full time job and my washing machine that isn't even 3 years old is out of commission. They refused to even come out after I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service.
So on Thursday I called the Warranty Office again and they set me up with another serviceman for next week. Lowes extended services are complete crap. They hire low lives to repair their products and they don't care about customer service. I looked up this new serviceman online and what I found out is he doesn't even return phone calls or doesn't show up.
My next step is to call corporate Lowes and complain that if my washer is not fixed in 2 weeks they need to provide me with a brand new washer for a part that could have easily been fixed by a reputable serviceman. Next call will be to Maytag for their cheap parts in their washers.
User's recommendation: Do not buy any appliance from Lowes and do not buy an extended warranty.

I placed an order at the Lowe's store located in Osage Beach, Missouri. After waiting for over two weeks for items brought and paid for at the store, they told me the items would be available in 7 to 10 days. I called the store after two weeks, I have to talk to four people before the manager (Crystal) informed me that the items were not available but the store placed them on order for me two weeks ago. This makes no sense, so they are refunding my money. Why didn't they just tell me that two weeks ago, instead of wasting my time. Been a nightmare experience, I ordered a pittboss pro 1100 series pellet smoker online including assembly & delivery . first smoker care from vista & was the wrong item. Second 1 was from santee & when I got home from work & inspected it all 12 screws that attach legs to fire box were just finger started & tightened at all. went to move it & everything was spongy & twisted. can believe it was not noticed. I can even send a video showing me resecuring all 12 screws. not a good experience & expect more from lowes. Have all purchased my & my mother appliances from lowes & what I went through inregards to this grill wasnt fun. Customer service at santee tried ti help as best as they could as there was multiple issues during the ordering process. I was still charged for the first / wrong grill even though cs re-assured me that I wouldnt since I refused it right off the truck, etc...
Just wanted to make someone aware that who ever is assembling grills at the santee / ca / san diego location is obviously not focussed on what theyre doing. all 12 screws that hold the top of the legs to the actual grill were barely finger started, never secured at all. had to re-check every fastener & question every aspect of the assembly

I was looking for 4x4x8 cedar posts for a project I'm doing, back on April 7th. Both of the local Lowes near me didn't have the materials. The only one that did was over 75 miles away at the Dale City, VA store. I called and spoke with Manager Ian Turmelle, who assured me that the materials COULD BE delivered to my address, but that it would be a $105 delivery charge, and I'd have to wait until the end of the month, both of which I agreed to. Today (April 30) I get a call from this Lowes store at just 7:20am to tell me they don't deliver to my address! What in the world?! I told the person on the other end that I have been waiting WEEKS for these materials, was assured that they WOULD be deliverable to my address and THAT was why I was charged $105 dollars towards delivery. After ending the call, I turned back around to call this same Lowes store to speak with the Manager I originally spoke to, to try and see what the heck was going on and why they would wait WEEKS to try and tell me something like this, on the day of my delivery. Mr. Turmelle apparently wasn't in, or hadn't gotten in yet, and I was transferred to some other female manager, who told me that they would "work things out, but had to see WHEN they would be able to deliver the items to me". Excuse me? WHEN? I've already waited WEEKS! I'm beyond angry, and realize from the complaints I've read against Lowes that things like this aren't anything new. I want to file my complaint with the Attorney General of my state (Virginia), because this isn't good business practice. At all. I'm a disabled veteran that has to have things delivered to me, as I cannot get around very much. Is this kind of "service" what I served my country for? I shouldn't have to wait any longer period of time than I already have for the things that I've already paid for.

I got a good 1 . I live 1\3 of a mile from Lowes store #1537 in Las Vegas. I have a My Lowes card I record purchases always. The my Lowes card is suppose to minimize paper receipts and used for returns. Brilliant for anywhere but store 1537. Last year I scent $15,000 + remodeling a home I bought. I am from Florida were building is different and the Lowes card made sense because I return wrong item for the right 109°climate. What's a swamp cooler anyways, this year already $3,000+,. Customer service only sees returns , have no clue what I buy when I leave the return center . most money stays in the store . 2 years ago a manager got upset with me for calling corporate to enforce policy. Since then I wish Home Depot was close . I understand environment , theft issues sand cost of stuff and loss . 3 days ago my daughter caught covid 19. My wife is watching her children and is quarantined for safety reasons . Also 3 days ago I bought a 5'x3" pvc sewer pipe for 33$ with my debit card, when wife went to watch grandkids she took the card for purchase of 6$ a gallon of gas and food stuff. They live only 38 miles across town @23mpg. When daughter got out of hospital her antibiotic had a 14$ co pay. Financially strapped so I volunteered to pay for her antibiotics . I took the pipe , receipt , my Lowes card 1\3 mile , (Walgreens with the antibiotics is across Street). Customer service personnel informed me they cannot give me cash because I do not have the debit card to show proof of purchase . if I stole a 5'x 3" pipe out of store loss prevention did horrible job. I did not just making observation. So while I am calling my wife to see what can be done 2 other people made returns without even being asked for the debit card, 1 was for $324 no questions asked . I am 54 years old long hair bad attitude no teeth but not a thief. When I got ho.e with no antibiotics for my sick daughter with life threatening illness.we called a ambulance and she went back to hospital. Over profiling me .hurting manager feelings years ago. The state of Nevada Medicare will be charged $3000 for ambulance $6000 for 2 days in hospital and other charges they charge for over a 33$ pipe . alternative could be bus back and forth through town 6" hour round trip by bus and she gets sicker . The point is policy should not be bent no to me no to the lady. I know for a fact they can override any policy. Arrest me if you think I am a thief , accuse me , chase me but don't wrongfully think without proof. Don't give some lady 300 easy and refuse 33$ to save my child's life .. Policy should be across the board . not pick and choose .
Employment practices
My roommate is an employee of lowes, I was shocked when I picked her up from work the other night and she complained that management had her cleaning the store after hours, it wasn't the fact she was engaged in cleaning the store however management had her clearing the bathroom without the proper protective equipment. Does management realize we are in the midst of a pandemic and cleaning a public bathroom could expose someone to the virus especially without the proper protective equipment. I was set to have a new microwave, fridge, stove, and dishwasher delivered on Friday March 20th. I called the day before to make sure everything was still good to go due to the trying times were all going through with the virus, I thought this may slow down or push back some of the deliveries. The person at my local Ozark Lowes I was speaking to informed me they were showing my delivery for April 6th and that my products that were ordered had not arrived to their location yet. I was confused by this but thought it was due to the virus so I did not think much about it.
The next day I received a call in the morning from my driver asking if I was ready to receive my items. I was very confused and told them what the local store had said to me the day before, but I was home and was ready for the items to come. They also told me on the phone that they would not be able to bring these items into my house because they had a new policy due to the virus that they could not enter the house but could put them in my garage for me. After receiving my items to the house I began to contact the store's customer service lines.
I explained to the local store as well as the main Lowes customer service number throughout my many calls made during that day I was unsure on how I was going to get these items into my house or set them up. I was told by the driver the sales person who sold me these items in the store was new and that was the reason I received no info about installation options. I assumed they were just installed when they were brought out, but it was explained to me how they go about that and I do understand and am able to connect them myself, I just wish I would have been told that earlier.
My sales person also told my wife and I they had a special if we purchased 3 or more items of the same brand, there was a special if I remember right to get 3% off but while starting the paperwork for the purchase, suddenly realized it was a rebate and not a discount on the items. I would think it was an honest mistake until my brother in law informed me that same sales person did that exact thing to them a few weeks ago when they purchased their items.
After talking with different managers at the Ozark location, one of which said he would call my drivers that day and see what he could do never even called back prompting me to call the store 4 hours later, I was informed that the policy could not state the drivers cannot enter a home, but rather it was driver's discretion. I told the manager I have $3000.00 worth of appliances in my garage with no way to get them inside with food spoiling slowly in a cooler because I thought I would have a fridge in my home.
the furthest I got was being allowed to use on of their dollies and bring it back after. I retrieved the dolly from the local store and made the attempt to get the fridge in the house up steps with only my wife to help. The fridge is in our home after much effort, but has sustained scratches and a dent from the two of us being inexperienced trying to move this large appliance.
I am going to attempt to move the other items into the home and get them setup soon but have been nervous to do so because of what happened with the fridge. My wife is devastated and fell in love with this fridge and now has to look at dents and scratches and be reminded of this nightmare of an experience for the both of us.
I myself am a Police Officer, meaning I truly understand the times we are in and what we are all going through as well as the dangers that can await drivers inside a home. I have experienced being lied to multiple times, being completely ignored, and led to believe I have to just accept where I am now. Having said that, I do not wish any trouble or discipline on anyone involved with my experience, I merely wish to feel like something can be done to make this right. I would greatly appreciate a phone call to talk with someone about my experience and I thank you for listening to my experience.
