Mixed Experience at Texas Road House: Tough Steak, Great Service
On the 21st of February in the year 2023, at 5:00 PM, my family and I went to Texas Road House to have a meal. I ordered the $28 Bone in Ribeye Steak Medium Temp Done. When the steak arrived, it looked perfect from the outside. However, when I cut into it, I realized that it was very tough and hard to cut. As I continued to eat, the steak became tougher and more rare. When I cut into the middle of the steak, I realized that it was not cooked the way I had ordered it. The middle was rare and very tough to cut through. I did not want to make a scene in front of my family, so I did not ask for a replacement steak. Looking back, I should have reported my dissatisfaction as soon as I discovered that I could not cut and chew the steak properly. It was a waste of money.
However, I called Texas Road House and spoke to the manager about my dissatisfaction. The Manager of the Riverview Road House Restaurant was understanding and offered me a voucher. He also suggested that if anyone has an unsatisfactory issue with the Texas Road House, they should report the issue while in the restaurant for issues to be resolved before leaving the restaurant. I appreciate the manager's understanding and willingness to make things right.
Despite my negative experience with the steak, I must say that Texas Road House is a great restaurant for family and friends. I have never had a bad meal in the restaurant. The staff's friendliness is way above any restaurant that I have visited in this area. I highly recommend Texas Road House for anyone looking for a great dining experience with family and friends.
Disappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse: Poor Customer Service and Management
On November 10th, 2021 at 4pm, my daughter and six other folks made a reservation at Texas Roadhouse for a total of 12 people. When they arrived, they were seated at two tables, but one person was told they had to wait for the other five. Later, myself and two seniors arrived, and we had others on the way who would have made more than 12. Unfortunately, those folks never got a chance to come in. After waiting for 30 minutes with my senior mother, I asked if we could be seated since the table was ready and we could order appetizers and drinks while we waited. However, I was told no three times. The lady manager on duty seemed a little rude and agitated, like we were bothering her. So, I asked to speak to another manager.
Another man came over and claimed to be the other manager. I explained the situation to him, which he was already aware of. He was very stern in saying no, we couldn't be seated, even after asking the lady if we could sign up for seating for the four of us. We were still told no and that we needed to wait for the rest of our party. The man manager told us he was doing us a favor because he was losing money by the table being empty, which was his refusal to seat us. I was confused and asked him what he meant. He said that he didn't want our money because we were trying to sit and eat. The situation continued to go downhill from there.
The other employees who were seating people wanted no part of the situation. One couldn't even answer a question because they didn't want to answer wrong. The man manager's claim that he was losing money was a lie, and his claim that he was doing us a favor was an even bigger lie. We were spending our money, and we just wanted to sit and eat. In the end, we gathered up our party and went to Longhorn Steakhouse, where they were happy to have our business. Kudos to them for saving my big day. A total of 25 happy patrons! My birthday was almost ruined!
Texas Roadhouse must do better! They need to train their employees to be more accommodating and respectful to their customers. It's not fair to treat people this way, especially when they're trying to celebrate a special occasion. I hope they take this review seriously and make some changes.
Disappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse: Poor Service, Unprofessional Staff, and Food Poisoning
Me and my family went to the Texas Roadhouse in $#*!son City PA with our son, daughter in law and grandchildren. We were really excited to try their famous steaks, but unfortunately, our experience was not the best. The restaurant seemed to be disorganized from the start, and it was clear that the management was not doing a good job. We arrived at 7 pm on a Saturday night, and we expected to have plenty of options available, especially the custom-sized steaks that were advertised on the menu. However, they didn't have what we wanted, and every time we asked for something, the waitress had to go to the manager to get an answer.
The staff was unprofessional, and things got worse when my husband was hit in the head by the waitress, who laughed about it. We asked to speak to the manager, but he was the most condescending and rude person we have ever dealt with. He blamed the poor service on being short-handed, but we believe that proper training and professionalism are essential, even when the restaurant is short-handed. Our grandchildren were getting tired, and after waiting for an hour and 15 minutes, the food was finally served, including the children's meals. They should have been served much sooner.
We called corporate to complain, and they offered us a $30 discount on two adult meals. We didn't ask for anything, but we wanted them to know about the poor service. However, things got even worse when we went to another Texas Roadhouse location near our home in NJ. We ordered boneless Ribeye steaks, but we were served Sirloin instead. We were going to use the coupon offered for the first mistake, but in the end, we were comped for the error. Sadly, when we left, our steaks were still in the case.
That evening, I wasn't feeling well, and I got food poisoning from what I believe was the appetizer. We decided to give Texas Roadhouse one more chance this past weekend, but the service was still awful. My husband's steak was undercooked, and we had to eat in the middle of dirty appetizer dishes until we paid. The table behind us also complained about their undercooked steak. We used the coupon, but for $56, the food was not worth it. We have decided never to go back there again. Outback may not be perfect, but it's definitely better. If Texas Roadhouse doesn't improve, they will soon be on the going out of business list.
Texas Roadhouse: A Disappointing Experience with Poor Customer Service
I went to Texas Roadhouse to get myself a steak. I had a conversation with my waitress and asked her 3 times to make sure my steak was blue extra extra rare. She said she would put the order in that way. However, when my steak arrived about 35 minutes later, it was well done. The inside was entirely gray, with no pink or red at all. I asked her to take it back, and a manager came out. The manager asked me to keep the rest of my meal, rice and baked potato. I told her I had no idea how long it would take to get my 2nd meal, so I would prefer if they could bring out everything all at once. The manager insisted that I eat my potato and rice now before the steak arrives. I told her to take everything back with her.
The 2nd steak arrived about 15 minutes later. The manager brought out my steak personally and set it down on my table. She then asked if this steak was going to satisfy me. I was frustrated because I had asked for an extra extra rare blue steak 3 times before the order was taken to the kitchen. So my dinner, which I thought would be a quick meal, ended up being 1 hour and 20 minutes.
I filled out their complaint form online because it was an aggravating experience. However, a week has gone by, and I have not received a call or email from their corporate office. I have not received any contact from their local store manager either. When I called the store directly, all I was told was that they would love me to come in on my dime and give them another try.
I will never visit another Texas Roadhouse again. There are many more restaurants in my area that provide a much better product, service, experience, and a management team who cares. So goodbye forever Texas Roadhouse. That was my last meal with you anywhere I travel in the USA. Their mission statement is quantity, not quality of the meal and the experience.
On 04/15, I made a purchase at Texas Roadhouse #2 in Twin Falls, ID for $32.52.
Disappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse in Ft. Wright KY: Dirty, Crowded, and Rude with Poor Service and No Covid-Safety Measures
Went to Texas Roadhouse in Ft. Wright KY with a gift card and had a pretty bad experience. It was a busy night, but that's no excuse for the issues we encountered. The cloth napkins had a weird smell and the pepper shaker had butter smeared on it. The restaurant was dirty and crowded, and both the hostesses and customers were rude. The food tasted okay, but it was just thrown on the plate like takeout.
We used the app for call ahead seating and it said our table was ready. But when we got to the podium, the hostess said there were no tables and ignored us. We waited for half an hour for a clean table. When we were finally seated, it was near the restroom and there was a puddle of water on the seat. So we had to dine with wet pants the whole night. Our first server, Chloe, was not friendly. We politely asked to be moved away from the restroom to another table so we wouldn't have to look at drunk men pulling up their pants while trying to eat. We were moved to another table, but rowdy kids were jumping on the seats and falling on us. The location was crammed with people and there was no social distancing or Covid-safety measures. Little kids who were unvaccinated were crawling all over the place, hanging upside down on tables, screaming, and playing very loud games on their phones. I know they market themselves as "child friendly," but this was unreasonable.
As if that wasn't enough, another party piled into our table when we were almost finished with our meal. They were yelling and talking loudly on their phones and binge drinking shots with their margaritas. When we asked them to turn down their speaker phone volume, they tried to start a fight with us. When they complained to our server, Sunshine, she spent the rest of the evening catering to them instead of us. We were rudely rushed into to-go boxes and dessert when we were only halfway finished with our meal. This location needs better crowd control, diner spacing, and alcohol control. If they can't provide a nice experience for everyone, they should dial back capacity. We had a good visit earlier in the summer, but the place has gone downhill. We won't be back. Their fundraiser PR is just fluff and hype.
Disappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse: Missing Items and Poor Customer Service
I had a pretty bad experience at Texas Roadhouse recently. I put in a big order on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 and sent my son to pick it up. While he was there, I was on the phone with him and heard him ask if everything was in the order. The person on the other end said yes, but that wasn't the case. I ordered Grilled Shrimp, which was supposed to come with 2 dinner rolls, but they weren't included. I also ordered Beef Tips, which were supposed to come with gravy and 2 dinner rolls, but those were missing as well. Finally, I ordered a Full Slab of Ribs, which was supposed to come with 2 dinner rolls, but those were also missing.
I called the restaurant back immediately and spoke with Diane, who told me that the manager would be reaching out to me within 48 hours. She also told me that I wasn't the only customer to call that night complaining about missing dinner rolls. However, the management team never reached out to me, so I had to call them back. This time, I spoke with a manager named Gloria, who sounded surprised that I was calling about my missing dinner rolls and gravy. I informed her that I had already called back on Saturday and spoke with Diane, who told me that I wasn't the only customer to complain about missing dinner rolls. Gloria told me that I should have checked my order before leaving the restaurant, but I explained that my son picked up the order and was told that everything was in there.
Gloria then told me that she was just opening up the restaurant and would have to look into this. She also told me to check my email in 72 hours, but didn't tell me what to expect. I know this might seem like a small issue, but it's frustrating when you pay for something and don't get what you ordered. Plus, the beef tips were tender but dry with no gravy, which was disappointing. I will definitely tell anyone who asks about Texas Roadhouse what to expect in terms of service and mistakes from the staff. My missing dinner rolls and gravy might not be a priority to the management team, but I can assure you that I'll be spending my $99.04 at a more accommodating establishment in the future. This restaurant has lost my business for life. Oh, and I also didn't get the cutlery that I asked for.
Terrible Service and Disappointing Experience at Texas Roadhouse in Grand Forks
Me and my family went to Texas Roadhouse in Grand Forks on May 6th. We tried to make reservations, but the staff on the phone told us they don't take reservations. They put us on the waitlist for over 2 hours. We had a big group, but they split us into 3 smaller groups and seated us in different sections. My wife asked for a different table in the same section as our first group, but they said they couldn't control who sits where. When we got our food, there were fewer fries than usual on our plates. My wife had to ask for a refill and I got a drink with ice even though I asked for no ice. When we asked for to-go boxes, we had to flag down random staff because our server didn't come back. The service was so bad that I wish there was a negative star rating. I wouldn't recommend Texas Roadhouse to anyone. You're better off going to McDonald's for better service.
Poor Treatment from Manager at Texas Roadhouse in Mansfield: A Disappointing Experience
Me and my family went to Texas Roadhouse in Mansfield on Sunday, October 9th. We were a party of 7, but one person was running late. My mother is 92 years old and not in the best health, but she wanted to come out with us one last time. My wife has stage 4 cancer and also wanted to spend time with her family. We arrived 15 minutes early and my mother asked if she could be seated at a table to rest. However, the host told us that we couldn't be seated until everyone arrived, which is their policy. I asked to speak to the manager, but she was very rude and disrespectful in her responses. She said that she could seat us as a party of 6, but the last person wouldn't be able to sit with us. I explained our situation, but she didn't show any compassion and offered my mother a hard bench to sit on instead. This was unacceptable as my mother has spine issues and can barely sit on a padded chair. She was in tears, trying to spend time with her family on what would be her last outing.
When we arrived at the restaurant, the smell from the overflowing trash cans by the entrance was unbearable. People waiting outside had to stand on the other side away from the entrance. We were finally seated, but it took over 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Sammy, the young lady who served us, was pleasant and did an outstanding job. However, no manager ever came to our table during our entire visit.
I have been a loyal customer at this location since 2008 and the previous management staff was outstanding. However, this particular manager showed no compassion at all. I understand policies, but when I explained our situation, she smirked and said "Sorry, but look at that sign. It's policy." We arrived at 11 am, so there weren't many customers at that time.
Overall, I was disappointed with the treatment we received from the manager. It was our last outing with my mother and wife, and we were treated poorly. The only redeeming quality was Sammy's excellent service. I hope that the management staff can show more compassion and understanding in the future.

Title: Texas Roadhouse: A Great Online Ordering Experience and Delicious Food!
Rating: (5/5)
I recently ordered from Texas Roadhouse using their online ordering system, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely perfect, warm, and delicious. Texas Roadhouse has set the bar high for online food ordering!
Placing my order online was easy. The website was user-friendly, with clear menus, enticing food descriptions, and mouthwatering images that made my decision-making process even more enjoyable. Navigating through the options and selecting my desired items was quick and efficient. The variety of choices was impressive, catering to a range of tastes and preferences.
When I arrived at Texas Roadhouse to pick up my order, the staff was friendly and promptly attended to me. The pickup process was well-organized, ensuring minimal waiting time. The staff followed all safety protocols, creating a safe and comfortable environment. I appreciated their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Now, let's talk about the food itself. As soon as I opened the containers, a tantalizing aroma wafted through the air, building anticipation for the first bite. I was delighted to find that every item was perfectly cooked, maintaining its warmth during transit. The flavors were exceptional, reflecting Texas Roadhouse's commitment to quality ingredients and skilled preparation. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness that left me craving for more.
I had the pleasure of sampling their renowned hand-cut steaks, and they were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy. The sides I chose, such as the loaded baked potato and seasoned vegetables, complemented the main dishes impeccably. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that I was fully satisfied.
What impressed me the most about Texas Roadhouse was the attention they paid to the small details. The packaging was sturdy and well-sealed, ensuring that the food arrived intact and without any spillage. The condiments, utensils, and napkins were all provided, making the whole experience hassle-free.
In conclusion, my experience with Texas Roadhouse's online ordering system was outstanding. The convenience, efficiency, and warm, delicious food surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend giving their online ordering a try. This is definitely a place that I'll be ordering from again in the future!
Harassment at Texas Road House: Lapata Branch Needs to Treat Customers Better
Texas Road House is a restaurant that offers promotions and coupons to its customers. However, the Lapata branch has been known to harass customers who try to use these promotions and coupons. The manager, Nate, at this location does not seem to like customers using the promotions and coupons put out by the corporate office. This has caused problems for customers every time they visit this location.
One customer had a gift card and a coupon for a free side dish for their anniversary. When they tried to use it, the manager told them they couldn't use a gift card with a coupon. After arguing with him for 10 minutes, he finally allowed them to use the coupon with the gift card, but said they could never do it again. This caused them to not visit this location for years.
Years later, when they decided to give this location another chance, they were met with the same harassment. They had two separate bills and two coupons for a free child's meal, but the manager told them only one coupon could be used per table. Even though they explained that they were two separate households, he still argued with them. This caused them to leave and not return for many years.
Recently, they saw a gift card special for the holidays where if you bought $30 in gift cards, you would get a $5 card. If you spent $100 in gift cards, you would also get a free bucket with steak seasoning. They bought 7 gift cards at $30 each, costing $210. After they ate, they realized they spent $200 and should have gotten two buckets according to the sign. When they went back to get the second bucket, the manager claimed they already got a deal and was very nasty with them. This caused them to leave and take their business elsewhere.
When they returned with their kids and friends to use the gift cards they had given them, they were once again met with harassment. The manager claimed they could only use one $5 card per table, even though the card clearly stated it was per visit. They argued with him, but he still refused to let them use more than one. This caused them to leave and take their business elsewhere.
They called the corporate office and spoke to Howard, who didn't seem to care about their experience. They insisted on getting their 4 $5 cards back, but the manager was stealing them. Howard finally agreed to give them back, but only if they went to the Leonardtown Texas Road House, which was over an hour away. This caused them to never return to this location and take their business elsewhere.
In conclusion, Texas Road House needs to stop harassing customers who try to use the promotions and coupons they put out. The Lapata branch needs to treat their customers better and stop causing problems for them. Customers have many other options to choose from, and they don't need to go somewhere that treats them poorly.

I went to Texas Roadhouse on October 19, 2024. We go there all the time, but this night was the worst service we have ever had. The waitress had told us that most of the back of the house and managers were from other stores so the employes at that store could go to a wedding. The manager wasn't nice, the food was cold and unevenly cooked, and the waitress waited forever to take our order. The manager did take off $25 for the unevenly cook prime rib. Her words of how it was cooked and just said that she would tell the staff about the vegetables. No apology at all. She acted like we were a burden that we even said anything to her.
Desired outcome: I don't think you should give your most of your staff a day off for a wedding

Respectfully this was the first time that I order food from your restauarant. The order was placed at your togo window therefore what I am telling you should not have happen. The food I ordered was the cheese burger platter and onion blossom. The blossom was extremely cold and had fallen all apart and burnt. The burger platter was awful. The meat was so cold the cheese did not even melt. I ordered it (no pink) I did not mean for it to be burnt to a crisp. The fries consist of 7 cold fries thrown in the box. I am a 69 year old senior citizen man that just had to advise you of what type of food your restuarant gave to me as a order to go. Respectfully Submitted Mr. Ralph Johnson.
This order was modified to add the cheese burger platter to it because when she advised me of the price that was only for the onion blossom therefore she added the cheese burger platter accordingly.

Charlottesville restaurant/ rude waitress
We just ate in Charlottesville Va. Texas Roadhouse July 27 2024. We usually have great service and very polite waitstaff. But that wasn’t the case tonight. She was rude, never smiled, never asked if we needed our drinks refilled. Other waiters came to check on us and take dirty plates from the table. The food was great! But she really ruined our family dinner night with her unpleasant attitude.

On 3/24/2024 I picked up an order for the family's Sunday dinner. This is one of the restaurants that my family and I frequented basically every Sunday during Covid. So to call in a nd pick up an order was normal. We were never disappointed until 3/24/2024.
The food was terrible!
1. I waited an additional 35 minutes longer thatn promised for the pick up, no problem!
2. the catfish dinner which is a staple for me was over cooked and tooo salty to eat, problem
3. Fried pickles, cold and too salty, problem and a result of the 35 minute wait
4. Mashed potatoes left much to be desired and the green beans were a half container.
no I didn't open each box before leaving as this has never been necessary.
I write this message as a long time consumer at your restaurant and to express my disappointment.

You're a truck driver, you work hard, and you deserve a proper meal after a long day. Texas Roadhouse at Tinley Park let you down big time. Cold beer and a good bartender aren't enough when your steak is practically mooing on the plate and the broccoli's harder than a rock.
Here's what you need to do: Call them up and tell them exactly what happened. Don’t hold back. Let them know you’re a regular customer and this experience was a complete letdown. Demand a refund or a properly cooked steak. They need to make this right for you.
If they don’t fix it, take it to social media. Share your experience, tag Texas Roadhouse, and let everyone know what happened. They hate bad press, and they'll be more likely to respond. You deserve better, and they need to know they can’t get away with serving subpar food. Demand the respect and quality you deserve.
