Dollar Tree Lombard IL store

I have had 2 issues at this store since a new store manager, George, took over. About a month ago, I went to exchange a picture that the frame had a crack in it when I opened the plastic wrap. I had the receipt from the purchase a few days prior. George came to the register and proceeded to tell me that the damage could have been my fault and his store shouldn’t be at a loss for it. I told him I was exchanging it for the same thing and the receipt was from a couple days ago and that I didn’t do anything except open the plastic. He yelled at me in line and caused a scene, as if the $1.25 was coming out of his pocket.

Today I went back against my better judgement to get a few items. The lady at the register had issues with the customer in front and it caused her sale to be re-rung. Instead of staying to help the cashier, George walked outside to smoke while there was a line of people at the register! She was the only person in the store! I asked the cashier if there was anyone else and she said no, just him and he was forced to work all day without a break. I told her it wasn’t the customers fault because we aren’t aware of staffing issues but now 6 people are in line.

When George came back in from smoking, he proceeded to lock the front doors. It was 7:45pm and the store was not supposed to close until 8pm. 2 minutes later, as I was still in line, I watched a group of customers come to the front door and George told them the store was closed. This was at 7:47 pm and the store was supposed to close at 8pm.

When I was finally rung up, I was told that next time I needed to come to the store earlier because they were closing soon. I informed them that I have been at the store since 7:15pm and I don’t think I needed to show up earlier becomes they decided to close all but 1 register and close the store early.

While I was in line, I saw a customer walk out in frustration.

When I finally left the store, I saw 2 other cars pull up, still before 8pm and I’m sure George denied them as well.

I’m sorry if your are short staffed or whatever the reason, but you need to post different hours and not be rude to customers because of that. And just because you are labeled as the store manager, doesn’t mean you get to adjust the store hours without alerting customers.

Desired outcome: I will be posting my experiences on social media so other people can avoid such a horrible experience. George should not be the store manager, he’s not even qualified to be a cashier.

Dollar Tree I am complaining about a cashier on lane 2. Store connect to leigh mall columbus, ms 39705 july/19/2022 a young new white girl at 5:00pm afternoon.

My son and I were shopping in the store and there was not many people in shopping at the time. We went to the left first and the Cashier a young white girl That was new because we shop there all the time and I have seen her once before when one of the other cashiers were explaining to her that she couldnt leave her register for whatever reason days before this day. I did not get her name but she had blondish brown hair about to her shoulders and was in the middle lane and was the only attendant there at the time. My 5 year old son was putting a ball that was out of place back into this bin where the other balls were. Because he noticed it was out of place. She was actually looking in our direction at this time, or it looked that way, anyway we gathers together items we were about to purchase and went to the register. I bought Toilet paper and a pink Jot tri fold triple folder. While we were going to the lane again no one was infront or behind us. My 5 year old son rushed through and noticed another ball and very loudly he said to me Mom Im going to go put this one up too. And he grabbed the ball off the shelf infront on the me and the young cashier. And ran to go put it by the bin where the other balls were. I noticed her reaction was looking at my son no paying much attention to me when I mentioned he was putting that ball up she still had a look like she assumed he was fixing to take off with it out the door but she never looked at me until I got closer and said louder he is putting the ball back in the bin because it was not in its place and he was helping. She never smiled or said anything back. My Son then laughing and smiling said I put that ball up for you, as a 5 year old being helpful and just making a friendly conversation. She never looked at either one of us until I said pretty loudly where I wanted her to hear looking at my son then at her, and said "She is in a very grumpy mood today." making a point to point out that her customer service was awful. most of the time all the emoplees are very friendly and make eye contact and smile. This girl then said "what Mama"? Then I repeated what I said and she went to say no maam, I am not grumpy and showed me she had one of her head phones in her ears and that made a point to show me. a white ear piece in her right ear and that she didnt hear me or him. My complaint is that an employee a new employee should not think its okay to be listening to music or doing anything other then assisting customers if not stalking shelfs or worker. She was standing there looking in our direction and if she would of not had her head phones in her ears she would of her us. I was very friendly at first and then rude towards the end. Again I love the service We are given most of the time. This young girl was very rude. Even after I said what I said I feel she was very rude. She did mention to have a very blessed day with a rudeness but I do understand after the way I said what I said however If she would of paid attention to her customers and not listening to music then she would of heard us.

Desired outcome: Someone please talk to this girl about customer service and not be aloud to listen to head sets while on the clock working in front of customers. Its very rude.

Dollar Tree I would like an explanation for the overcharge.

On July 18, 2022 The Dollar Tree store located @ 2801 East Market Street, York Pa sold me 3 items for $1.25 each for a total of $5.30 when it should have been $3.75 subtotal and 6% tax. This means sales tax was $1.55. On June 8, 2022 store #5913 in York, PA charged $0.30 tax on my purchase of 5 items @ $1.25 each for a subtotal of $6.25. Meaning I was overcharged on July 18 and the manager and staff were rude and argumentative when I returned to the store later that day for an explanation. It has not been explained why 3 items at $1.25 costs $5.30 at the Dollar Tree.

Dollar Tree 1 cashier, line about 12 people, manager Jessica sits in office on break

* Picture (3) shows time, date, store #, etc.

* Picture (1) shows me in line with two people behind me.

* Picture (2) shows the line after I've checked out.

* Sunday afternoon, one cashier (Tracy) open, long line of about 12 (Pic 1).

* When I asked Tracy if there was any other cashiers available, she said Manager Jessica was the only other person and she was on break in the office; won't interrupt her break even though there's a long line.

* (Pic 2) shows the line that was two people has grown to at least another 10 or so waiting to check out.

* (Pic 3) shows necessary info to identify details.

Totally unacceptable!

Dollar Tree not that you care but missoula montana store is horrible

the store is a joke, no merchandise on shelf, rude people, racist people, they would not sell me the mop handle unless i took the sponge mop with me. they refused to sell to me. i needed the bottom broom part for $1.25 and the mop handle for $1.25 and i did not need the sponge mop. they said it would be "theft" if i did not take the sponge. also your merchandisers are amazingly slow. it took a women 12 minutes to unpack and merchandise a box, one box of toothpaste

I have seen your customer service decline every month for the last few years

also buy more made in USA and less China

Dollar Tree Condition of the store and Management

Regarding the Dollar Tree located at 6380 N. Fig Garden Dr. #1 Fresno CA.

On Thursday, July 7,2022 at approximately 5:30 PM., I entered the dirtiest Dollar Tree I had ever seen. The floors were filthy, isles blocked with unopened boxes stacked high.

Long carts filled with merchandise blocking the shelves and trash piled in corners. Shopping carts filled with open boxes.

I had to move the mess to get to the items I wanted. Very unsafe! Trip hazards everywhere.

When I got into the check out line there was only one cashier and 12 customers in line.

One cashier but 3 others behind the registers but not open for check out.

There was also one male employee just walking around,

Finally another cashier opened.

When I got to her I told her about my concern related to the condition of the store. She explained that that store hadn’t had a manager in over 2 yrs,

I asked her why. She said she didn’t know because she had just been transferred there.

I asked her name and she said Belkis (she wasn’t wearing a name tag). She didn’t apologize just acted as if it wasn’t her problem.

I politely wished her a nice day but left very dissatisfied. I actually felt bad for the employees who had to work under those conditions.

Here’s the kicker…. I have recently discovered that Belkis is in fact the store manager and has been for a few years,

She blatantly lied to my face!

Disgraceful behavior especially for a store manager, What kind of example is that for her employees?

My question to you is.., if she’d lie to me, what else does she lie about to the company, her superiors and the employees?

Something you might want to look into.

Insulted and totally disrespected customer.

Desired outcome: Disciplinary action should be taken. An apology to me is in order. I would appreciate a response.A refund for my entire purchase due to my inconvenience and insult.

Dollar Tree Unable to use wheelchair in store

On July 5th, 2022, at 11:47 AM at store 3077 in Cheney, WASHINGTON State, I attempted to shop at Dollar Tree. Due to the sheer amount of displaced inventory, incorrectly placed displays, product all over the ground, and messy walkways, I was unable to use my wheelchair to navigate this store. People who can walk were able to step around the messes up and down every single isle. I was not, because I cannot walk. I am deeply troubled, upset, and frustrated as I should be able to shop while using a mobility aid in an otherwise accessible store, but due to the horrendous conditions of this store, I could not browse but two isles with my partner having to move boxes and product from getting stuck under the wheels of my chair. I am deeply upset.

Desired outcome: Contact, resolution, a gift card as a genuine apology and a reason to shop again

Dollar Tree Extremely Rude Employees at Store #4392 Bradenton, FL

Time: about 9:30 a.m. Sunday July 3, 2022.

I would like to file a complaint on the management and staff at the Dollar Tree store located at store #4392. I went in on Sunday July 3rd around 9:15 a.m. purchased 2 bags of ice, a bubble wand and bags of mints. When I went to the register there were 5 people ahead of me and the cashier was ringing slowly causing the line to back up. An African American woman in front of me was disgusted and said there are 4 employees here why don't they open a register to move the line. That's what stores do that practice good customer service. She then walked over to an older woman with long grey hair who walked right by us and asked her if she could ring or call someone up. She just kept stocking and didn't do anything. The lady then came back and said what a terrible employee. I went to the office and knocked on the door because I seen the Mgr. walk right by us also and go in the office. She answered and I asked politely could you get someone to open another register. She said, there is only one person who rings and then said she was on her break, huffed and said I suppose I could ring. I said, it's all about customer service and then she gave me excuses that it's hard to find employees and they all have specific tasks. I said, when you have 4 employees on duty and a line, you need to watch it and get a 2nd person to assist. As I was walking back to the line, I told the lady in front of me that the store just opened and the Mgr. is on her break. The Mgr. heard me and said with a snarky attitude, sir, I've been here since midnight in a rude tone of voice. I said nothing. As the line progressed, I told the lady in front of me she could go ahead to the other line. I moved up and then the heavy set guy behind the register unprovoked started in on me and escalated things. He wouldn't stop and when I poured my 6 items out on the belt he just kept smarting off his mouth so I told him, I've hired and fired many people like you in my carrier who showed poor customer service and rudeness to customers. Any you, would be fired for your rudeness. He then accused me of being rude which just escalated things further.

I am a disabled veteran and have never been treated so unprofessionally by management and staff in any store. It’s very obvious this corporation puts little to no emphasis on customer service.

He just kept mouthing off at me in an offending body posture and threatening verbal language causing my PTSD to escalate. As I grabbed my purchases, he just kept calling me names and finally he walked out from the register and got in my face. I told him three times you better walk it back and be careful what you are saying as I will contact corporate to report you. He just kept insulting me so I asked for his first name and he refused to give it to me. So I said fine, I will just give them a description of you but he just kept insulting me and followed me as I was backing away so on the third time I said you better walk it back chubby and he just would not stop. The Mgr. came over and said, sir you have to the leave, 3 times in between him insulting me in a threatening manner and me telling him how rude he was. Employees like this can easily cause a confrontation that can get out of hand and it does not help that many people who visit this store are elderly or retired people.

I live in the area, and will inform all my neighbors of this store's poor customer service, including the Mgr. who thought her break was more important than helping customers in a long line. If this is the Dollar Tree's corporate Philosophy, then I'd suggest you put these employees through a customer training class including the Mgr. or fire them and start with new people. I'd also like an apology from the manager and this rude employee otherwise, I will seek legal action for verbal assault, threatening body language, harassment, intimidation and other factors. Watch the videos, you will see how this employee came out from behind the register to get in my face and continued on in a threatening manner. This should never happen. All he did was continue to escalate things and a person like that, is high risk for your company.

Desired outcome: I'd suggest you put these employees through a customer training class including the Mgr. or fire them and start with new people. I'd also like an apology from the manager and this rude employee

Dollar Tree store#5112 cashier mercades

today 6/23/2022 at exactly 13:20 at the front of the store, I and my daughter commenced to check out when the next register called next on line. the person in front of me stood on line, so I proceeded to be the next person when your worker Mercedes yelled with such a disgraceful attitude your not next. I tried to explain to Mercedes the attitude was not necessary, she became irate and began to direct comments to me using profanity and provoking me to strike her.

This behavior was uncalled for and unprofessional. Store 5112 is my neighborhood locations and i have had to stop shopping here due to the unprofessional staff. I have put in a complaint with the store manager which was present at the time and did very little to diffuse the situation.

Desired outcome: i would like an apology! please retrain Mercedes in customer service or have her fired due to lack of how to communicate with customers.

Dollar Tree Cashier

On 6 /21/2022 went shopping at Store#5118 placed all my items on the counter to be checked out. Then I placed two reuse able bags on the counter. Cashier checked out all of the items and put the bags on top of the items. Please let me know if dollar tree changed the policy on cashiers bagging items. I ended up bagging the items because I needed the items. I will not be shopping at that dollar tree anymore it used to be a favorite store.

Dollar Tree Chain of command

My name is Krystal. I was wrongfully terminated. With little evidence other than hear say and notes almost a year ago. I endured harassment and retaliation for over a year. HR fiddled around for almost a month before finally claiming to investigate my sexual harassment complaints, and an ethics complaints against my former manager and MONICA.

Tanya has been nothing but rude and condescending. When she cant justify the supposed whys as to why I was terminated. From being termed for dating a fellow coworker because he answered to me. HE didn't answer to me. We didn't or rarely worked together in different departments. I on multiple occasions tried to transfer to another near by location only to be met with excuses or told I had to wait. I don't know what I did to any of these people. I didn't deserve to have my life blown up for wanting to file any complaints including sexual harassment complaints against 3 people. including the store managers brother who was an ASM. She retaliated against me with allegations that were never once brought to my attention. Never was I reprimanded. Just blind sided with half sided crap. I was accused of taking time away from someone. When its on camera that person was late and clocked in at 10:20pm. It had been edited as if he were there on time. which can be proven with cctv and his original clock in time. When Desiree the former SM learned she was going to be caught for lying she walked out on her store, her brother also quitting. Now for the real kick in the face. Sandra Bryan, One of the main people who has a sexual harassment complaint against her quit then gets rehired as ASM. SO what does that say about Dollar Tree.

Everyone but her has quit so what justice do I get? I lost income over one sided allegations from people with complaints against them. Ive combed through the companies code of ethics multiple times.

Desired outcome: I want compensation for all of this. I lost much needed income and personal relationships

Cashiers was rude. 07 June 2022 I won a lawsuit against Dollar Tree. Case Manitowoc County #2022SC000419 The local store says it is a Corporate matter, and they can not/will not pay. One the cashier asked for help because the line was long and she stated you have get use to the long line by yourself. There was about fifteen customers one the line and I asked twice could she open a second register. She statues no and keep fill balloons and there was a few customers that left the store because the lines was long. Poor customer service
