Failed root canal, lack of customer satisfaction
I had a root canal done on an infected tooth October 2022. They assured me saving my tooth is better than extracting. 6 months later I was in more pain then I was before the root canal. I went in, 4/13/2023 they told me the infection never cleared from the original root canal. Put me on antibiotics, and sent me out to see an endodonist that was booked week...

Last week my 19yr old went to get a checkup at Aspen dental and when she came home she said that she needed a root canal done I was floored because my daughter never had so much as a cavity. But I know how dental offices work especially since I worked there before and I know about how they tell patients they need work done when they really don't. They told her to come back yesterday and I accompanied her so I could find out what's going on. She went in for a cleaning which she thought was a regular cleaning but it turned into a deep cleaning with a 384.00 price tag when I informed them I was her mother and I know about how this works from my previous employer they shuffled us out of the door and stated a dentist will call and explain. Shame on you for trying to take advantage of a young college strident.
Desired outcome: We still have not received a response.
Customer service
I made an appointment online at 2:00 on May 15, 2023. Front desk was very rude and asked if I had an appt. I told them I received a confirmation email. They said well your appt was at 12, didn’t even look at rhe email. Told me they go to lunch at 2, and I needed to reschedule for the next day. I would never go back there again. I wasted my time and gas.

After having a series of x-rays taken on April 21, an appointment for a cleaning and 2 surface fillings was made to be completed the following week on April 25th. Partial payment was made, and my insurance company has already followed through with the claim. I had tried to confirm my appointment on the morning of the appointment, but the line was completely...

Let me say that I was very pleased with the dentist, hygienist and staff, but billing is a nightmare. Again, this last time, I was in for a standard cleaning and consultation for future work which is covered 100% by insurance. This was Feb. 8, 2023. Now I get a bill for Gingival Irrigation per Quad times 4, code D4921. This a procedure that was not done...

Corpus Christi, TX location [protected] When I arrived for my appointment to get a denture repair I gave the receptionist my United Health Care Insurance Card. In jan 2023 went in for a check up was giving an outragous breakdown of work that needs to be done $9774.99. 1st thing was to do the periodontal scaling which i would have to pay $1200. I did on 2/8 and 2/9 pd $600 and 612. They submitted to my insurance $1161 on 2/8 and $1161 on 2/9 which my insurance allowed $726 and $728. That is what you get paid you dont get to keep or charge me for any additional. On 5/9 i went in for a cleaning asked about the over charge and how conventiely there systems where down and they cant see anyones filed and wont be able to for at least two weeks. Then was told that my cleaning that is 100% covered by my insurance would cost $132. So you cant see my files but you can charge me for a cleaning. You owe me money i dont owe you.
Desired outcome: I WANT MY MONEY BACK YOU OVER CHARGED ME $504
I'm waiting for my $1,300. credited back on to my credit card for deep cleaning which I canceled after hearing such bad reviews from them . Their computers are still not workable.
Repayment for work not done and poor customer service
I chipped a tooth a few months back. I'd been having problems getting in to see my regular dentist, so I made an appointment with Aspen. I walked in with a chipped tooth and ended up in the business office with a $6k treatment plan. They wanted to pull my whole upper plate and get me a full set of dentures. Then the dentist rushed me into the busine...

I have tried several times to resolve my issues. I do not want to speak with the regional manager of Klamath falls I want to speak with someone higher up.
I have stopped paying my bill to the issue is Three teeth have fallen out. Causing me to choke. I have asked several times to have them relined. I cannot eat with them. I asked for the teeth to be bigger. I have to wear them because now I cannot wear nothing in my work. Now I can't get ahold of anyone at cooperate.
All I asked when I came in was to get a replacement for my bottoms. I was told I had to have these. Which was so wrong! I still have my old set. The bottoms just need to be redone. The assistant did not do a correct job with the because when the teeth adhesive is place, I have an overbite. I am very very upset I smiled with new other dentures unfortunately he retired. I worked in a dental appliance and office for years. The doctors and denturist are the worst I have ever seen. Teeth should not break off or fall of for no reason. Now I can not afford to get another set anywhere else. And paying the balance is a joke after such poor customer service and product. I understand I have bone loss in the front I did when the others were made as well
Desired outcome: Return the money paid or Repair old dentures. Or make a pair that fits my face correctly. Last picture is with the other dentures. The tops are fine the bottoms need the be repaired.

I've went to Aspen Dental on 4/21/2023, and was scheduled for a cleaning. My insurance does pay for cleanings, but there were no cleaning performed. They wanted me to speak with the office manager in regards to the work that was needed.
I meet with the office manager that day and the price was $1055. for the work. On 4/24/2023 I canceled all work needed, bc my insurance would only pay for a certain amount.
Now it has been two weeks and I still have a balance of $1055. I contacted Aspen Dental, and the office manager indicated this would be handled and removed.
Desired outcome: Please update my record to indicate I do not owe any balance and provide proof.
rude and unprofessional behavior from office manager - erica blotzer
she is located in your va. beach office at hilltop. she didn't want to discuss a bill i had received from you. i tried to ask a couple of questions and her reply was short, uncaring and un professional. this confrontation occurred on or about 4/26/23. you don't want or need an employee like this in your organization.
she told me that my insurance co. was the problem. she seemed that she didn't want to talk to me or answer any questions i had.
Desired outcome: file this complaint and put in her permanent employee folder or site.
Dishonest Business Practices
At my first appointment with Aspen located in Hampton VA I had my teeth cleaned and scaled. When the procedure was over, the hygienist handed me a bag with an electric toothbrush and a so called special mouthwash to treat my gums. I was not told that I had to pay for those items out of pocket. It wasn’t until I rec’d a billing statement from their office that I found out I had been charged for a toothbrush and a bottle of mouthwash. Aspen dental is very cunning and dishonest. Beware.
Desired outcome: A refund
