My husband was checking out at the Springport, Mich DG today 5/21/22 & clearly told the cashier he had 2 separate orders & said which item to stop on, after she rang up the last item on the first order, he swiped the payment card & ask why it said still processing, she replied it was rebooting & proceeded to ring up the remaining items which made one large order for $97, at that point i asked why it was $97 & asked her why she didn't split the orders. She then got very rude & told me to leave the store, while my credit card was still in the machine! She did not listen when I told her to stop at the 1st order & she lied & said the first order was processing & continued with the items that were supposed to be on the 2nd order! This clerk needs disciplined for being rude, lazy, poor customer service & simply cannot handle splitting up two separate orders.

The Dollar General near my house on International Speedway Blvd. DeLand, FL is in terrible shape. The shelves are bare and there are boxes stacked up everywhere and there appears to be no attempt to put stock on the shelves. It actually looks like customers have been digging through the boxes themselves. Really a shame, we have shopped there many times, but in the last few months it's like they just don't care at all.
Desired outcome: To have the company start caring about the store and stocking shelves.
Truck Driver
Date and time: 5/12/22 at approximately 12:20 pm. I was sitting at a red light waiting to turn left and a dollar general truck and trailer was on the main road waiting for the light to turn left on to the street I was on. The truck driver got the green light and made a sharp left, ran up onto the curb of the road and the trailer started moving towards my car. I had no where to go but in reverse, but there was a car behind me. The truck driver continued moving and the trailer kept coming towards me. I put my car in reverse and moved as far as I could go and then the driver behind me backed up so I could go in reverse some more, meanwhile the truck driver started yelling at me to go, go, go! The truck continued to move towards me and I was scared for my life! My heart rate shot up and I felt like I was going to have a heart attack. When I came back to my office I was telling my co-worker about it and she had gone to Dollar General on her lunch break and witnessed the same truck driver having difficulty maneuvering the truck and trailer in the parking lot of the store. Blocking several customers from being able to leave their parking spaces.
Desired outcome: I would like to know how to file a formal complaint and I would like the driver of that truck to be reprimanded and/or suspended pending additional truck driving school before he causes an accident and hurts somebody.

dollar gen. in joanna sc is charging you $1.00 are more i've personal been charged up to $2.00 more than what's on shelf price. when addressed why this is happening i'm told the register price is right i'm wrong either pay it are leave it.
I went and took pictures of the prices on the shelves and showed the cashier who was brand new and didn't know anything the key holder and asst. mgr refused to even look at the rect. said they were right the pricing on the shelves was wrong they just hadn't had time to do price changing. i told them i expected to pay the price on the shelve of the item not get surprised by $1.00 are more price at the register. they said it was dg policy to only let you have one item on the recpt. at the shelf price. this paticular day 5/6/22 at 5.30 pm i was over charged for 7 items by !.00 to $1.50 i have the recpt and the shelve pricing. this is happened before i bought downy shelf price was $10.00 i was charged $12.00. i know alot of people are having the same issues. they have lost my business which was alot since i live two streets over from the store.
Desired outcome: make then price change so that the customer knows what there paying when they go to the register. also they need to be trained in proper customer service.

On January 5, 2022 I was working at DG in Appling, Ga staying with my Grandfather who was very ill, and had to move back to my mom's after he went into the hostpital. So I called my store manager in appling to tell her the situation and she just caught an attitude on the phone and I was trying to tell her to transfer me to DG in Grovetown, Ga since I was moving back to my mom's but instead she put me down as " NOT TO REHIRE AT ANY OTHER DG "... So I somehow got the job in Grovetown, and I changed a price on some Dish Liquid from $5.95 to $4.95 since it was a small bottle and it was a sale on it and the manager at that store took the keys from me the next day and told me to go home without any explanation and filed an investigation report on me which didn't even happed.
This was really a False Termination and I am trying to get my Job back but can't until corporate looks into my incident...
Desired outcome: I would really want my Job back didn't do anything wrong as a Key carrier and even the new sore manager at the store in Appling, Ga said it was a False Termination and that the old store managers should lose thier Jobs.

Ive been buying ND creamer for years.. thought i was getting 10 oz for $1.oo. or 10 cents an ounce.. the Bottle says 10 oz implying 10 oz of product, but it weighs 10 oz INCLUDING the 2 oz container. Walmart container weighs what it says plus the 2 oz for the bottle. This is a Ripoff. I had to add words as the site advised complaint too short. Didn't matter what dollar general it was bought at the are all the same. Various dates of purchase too. Ripiffffffffffff
Desired outcome: Stop cheating. Comparison shopping divides the amount of product by the price so you know price per oz.

I've been working at DG going on 6 months now and never had a till short more than a couple bucks with old manager. I BOUGHT 3 6PACKS 16.9 OUNCE PEPSI. THE PRICE WITH AN ADVERTISEMENT ON THE SHELF WAS 3/$10.
THE CASHIER( WITH NO NAME TAG) RANG UP $4.25 EACH. After looking at the receipt there was 3 deduction on the pepsi [protected]@.58 cents and 1 at .59 cents. That came out to $11. I went back in and said there is something wrong. I explained it to her. THEN she shrugged her shoulders at me and said oh well. I wasn't angry till that point. I have worked customer service for 50 years. Then I said I would like to see a manager, Another lady came out and gave me just as much huff, trying to figure out with paper and pencil what i was saying. after about 15 minutes , I got my dollar back.
It is not about the 1 dollar but what if they did that to 3 or5 items. and the attitude was far beyond anything proper or courteous.
Everyone just stands around talking, no work being done.
This store in houtzdale pa is a disgrace! There is stuff off the shelves and laying on the floor, its so messy, floors and isles are cluttered, inventory not put away, check out person is so rude. They stand around and gab instead of working to clean up the store, they are getting paid just to be there? Something needs to be done with the store get it organized, and hire people that want to work!

I bought a box of breeze tampons by rexall 36 count it says on the box. I opened as soon as got home and there was only 32. Makes me wonder if my last box at purchases was short or if there are more boxes that are short... someone should look into it. My box appeared to be unopened so I don't think this incident happened in the store but the factory.

Baby bundts
I purchased 4 boxes of the Baby Bundts cinnamon swirl tonight at 2030 from the local General dollar.
Upon getting them home, I opened a box to have a couple. Image my surprise when I opened one of them and it was hard as a rock. I could bang it on the table. I opened 2 more from the box and they were half hard, dry and crumbly.
To give benefit, I opened another box to see if I received a bad box. They too were dry and crumbly. I looked at the expiration date and its in 6 days. Why would a store sale food about to expire?
Shame on me for not checking the date on the box but shame on the store for making me feel I have to.
So dissatisfied and disappointed.
That's because they don't pull expired items from the shelf. I know I work at DG in Kingman. Same crap there also
Poor service from manager
I went in a couple of weeks ago to do the $5 off $25. I had not been there for months, due to nothing ever being stocked. I had five tide proctor and gamble coupons to use on five tide. The cashier rang up my five tides, no problem. I went back in to do five more with paper coupons, the cashier missed scanning a tide, so the transaction would not accept the fifth bottle of tide. So the cashier called the manager for help. The manager is in definite need of customer service training. It was as if he was being racist towards me. That's never happened there before. He was in lack of politeness when speaking to me. He said one coupon a day. I said how am I supposed to get my $5 off $25 that way? He shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I have always done the $5 off $25 with five paper tide coupons, for years. The manager definitely has issues when addressing customers, if he can't handle it, he should not be there.
Desired outcome: At this point an apology is of no good. Manager acted as if he was racist with me. I have no clue why. Was his actions correct?
That's because DG employees and management are not well trained nor do they have any customer service skills. I know I work at DG and they are trying to fire me and I know I'm right. I always give my customers the most respect even put their bags in cart for them asking if they need help to car. I can't stand the management and employees gossip way too much. I went to Dollar General Store located at 856 S. Broad St in Brooksville FL
to return an item on April 6th at approximately 8:20 pm. I had my receipt and they would not return my money unless I showed them my ID. I did not have to have an ID to buy item so why would I have to show an ID to return it. And to make matters worse the lady was very rude and she tore a portion of my receipt off. I've never ever been to other stores that ask for an ID to return an item. Even Walmart will take a return item without a receipt if when they scan the bar code and it comes from their stores. Even though they don't give you money back, they'll give you a Walmart care for the total of the return item. Who in the world does Dollar General think they are to ask for an ID to return an item that you have a receipt for. It is none of their business to look at my ID. No wonder no one I know shops at Dollar General and from this point on I will not shop there ever again. Hopefully one day you will be the next ones closing all your stores.
Desired outcome: I would very much like to see the lady fired since I would not go back into this store even for my refund. She does not need to be working with the public. She obviously has a serious problem to treat customers like this.

What that cashier should have done was gone back and did a printer reset and it would have cleared up that whole card processing thing.
