I was in Store #14720 In Atmore, Al today and purchased several items including Mountian Dews that the sale price stated was 4 for $12.00. I purchased 8 of these. My total came to $60.75. I knew the total seemed to be a little high but I thought that with the other items, including a couple magazines, a pkg of diapers and body wash and bleach that this might be right. I went to the car and looked at the receipt and noticed that the cashier had only given me a credit for $3.50 for the mountians dews which would have them costin $30 something dollars. I can not see now since he scratched the price out with a black sharpie. I knew this was not right. I Needless to say I was told in not so many words that the sale had gone off on the 30th and I should have looked at the dates (which are in very small numbers at the bottom of the sale ticket. The manager was the cashier and we had a very bad discussion on this topic. I told him he should have already removed the sale tickets and should give me the items at the sale price. I never used any bad language but the incident was not nice. I did accuse him of false advertisement, especially since sale tickets were still all over the store. The only one he removed while I was in the store was the 1 ticket (not all the ones that was on the pepsi products) just 1 ticket. I advised that I wanted a refund, which I did receive but had to tell him that I needed my receipt since I had purchased other items as well. I then advised that there were probably other customers that thought they were getting the sale prices on the items but paying full price and the was not right. I then told him that I would not be shopping the again and he said he was "inviting me not to shope there again". I told him that he did not need to do that because I would not be back there with these type of practices going on. I worked in customer service for years and you do not treat customers this way.

It was 03/30/2022, at 12:00 noon, I was at the checkout, and an older lady employee came around towards the checkout, then went towards the back of the store to avoid checking me out. Then another younger lady employee dropped boxes next to the counter, looked at me, then disappeared towards the back of the store. I asked out loud, if anyone was working, but got no response. I left the item on the counter, then exited. I have had issues getting help at this store before. Please look into this matter!
Desired outcome: To be treated like a good customer from now on.

Music
I went into the dollar general on oak grove road in Hattiesburg Mississippi today 3/26/2022 at 4:30 pm. The associates working had very inappropriate music playing over the load speaker. Music talking about murder, sex and drugs. There were children in the store that had to hear this and I’m glad that I didn’t have my children with me. This store is very unorganized, poorly stocked and always has rude employees. There has got to be something done about the shape of this specific location.
Desired outcome: Change in everything. Employees attitude, condition of the store and how nothing is ever stocked. Also have appropriate music playing over speakers if music is being played.
Live Plants
I was in a Dollar General today & noticed their Easter/Spring Live Plant display.
I considered purchasing one or more. What stopped me was the fact that over half of them were dead. I wasn't going to spend $5 on a plant to have it die on me before I could even enjoy it.
At the register, I asked if there was a possibility of a discount for the ones that were mostly dead. A dollar or two wouldn't have bothered me.
I was rudely informed because they were live plants, they were unable to discount. She did make a snide remark that they could water them. Despite the fact that there were several past the point we're a little water would help. I asked what would become of the unsold, and or dead plants, she's in proceeded to tell me that they would be tossed in the trash.
It seems to me that with current events, the way the economy is, that Dollar general would want to get as much revenue as possible.
What I don't understand, aside from the attitude, is that the larger store such as Walmart or home Depot will discount their live plants instead of taking a complete loss. Why is this not Dollar general's policy as well?
Desired outcome: Policy change regarding throwing out merchandise, such as live plants, and taking a total loss on these items. Dollar general will discount other merchandise was in their stores, it don't make sense to not do the same alive plants.
Hours
It makes me sick that the CEO makes MILLIONS while us employees makes little to nothing in Ohio. U pay us not even $13 an hour and give us little hours to run out store with just so the higher up people can keep there Tesla's and mansions. No wonder stores look like hell. Your making millions of our backs and we can't even feed our children. And u wonder why u can't keep people? I have put together a team to expose the higher up people in this so called "company" and people will know how bad this corporation really is. How could you be so proud when dollar general is as bad as it is? How do you sleep at night? Someone will answer for this monstrosity!

Imagine working for the company for 3+ years & being an assistant manager, who doesn't even make $12 an hour...our store is #1 in sales,not just in our region,but of over 200 stores & yet they continue to cut our labor but at the same time,force us to hire 2 more employees...worst company I've ever worked for!
Falsely accused of stealing
This is such a long story... I Live in South Western New York State in early February I had a Sheriff knocking on my door, I am a Daycare Provider I found this startling so I did a. quick check of the kids and answered my door. I step outside amd he asked me if I was me and I said yes. He went on to say that Dollar General wants to press charges foe stealing on! e. I was dumb founded I said what? I shop there all the time 2 of my Daycare kids mother works at this store. I don't drive so we often walk there at least 3 times a week or more and I have been a loyal regular customer there since they opened years ago. They have a new manager other than her and one other employee a lady with gray hair who is rude as heck I don't know. Everyone else that works there I know personally on a first name basis! I truly thought someone was playing a joke on me! I said to the officer your kidding right? He said no and I said when and what supposably did I take? He couldn't remember the date off hand but a few days before Christmas and he had no idea other than the manager said I had a cart full of things and only paid for a few items at the self checkout. He showed me a picture of my niece Who is 2 years old he had on his personal phone she was sitting in a cart just her that's a little creepy strange. I told him yes I take shopping with her shopping with me a lot. He handed me a slip of paper to go to court that was it. Thinking back from February to December I remember my niece and I meeting my mom and daughter on their break from work their to get some last minute things just a few days before Christmas they had some gifts to get and I only needed a few small items myself. So we walked and met them at the store I left the stroller at the side of building and put my neice in cart and went in to meet up with them. We. shipped time got away and they cashed out and told Theresa an employee there that they were giving me the stuff they bought receipts were with me. I finished getting the couple of rhinfs I nweded and went to cash out. The fray haired lady and Therwaa were both up front talking no-one headwd to a register so I went to self check out paid for my things put them back in cart and proceeded to exit. We stopped. and chatted pn our way oit with both of them at the front door and off we went. I walk as Ive stated so in my cart was a bag of empty bags to pack the items in that all 3 of us bought. In NY its against the law to use plastic bags therefore you Bring your own they hace cheap paper ones that the handle breaks on the minute you pick them up so foe the sake of making it home I bring my own like most people do! I stood outside packing for a good ten minutes or so smoked a cigarette and we started our walk home. No one stopped me to asked me any questions I had the receipts. from my mom and daughter at that time, they both paid cash. There was ample time to approach me and no-one did I talked to them on my way out remember. I also had been back there shopping a few times after this date not know what they were in the process of accusing me of and not a person said a word to me. The officer said Manager said about 140.00 worth of merchandise and paperwork stated 200.00 worth. In took nothing and the re woods were long gone by February my mom and daughter didnt save them th we y had no reason to. I am irate and plan to file malicious intent, defamation of character, and slander charges against this store and this manager! What a crock of crap! I will never shop at ant Dollar General or will my mom or my daughter again. When word gets out like it does on small city's my Childcare business will be ruined! I have Dollar General's manager who wasn't even working that day to thank! However she will get hers in time! I hope the police cuff her and take her right out of store I'm front of everyone and hope she is embarrassed publicly she deserves it!

Why do We shop Dollar General? a. Convience, b. Prices C. Customer's Choice
I visited #13511 upon check out 2 i$1.00 tems were registered at Cashier at $1.50. I ask the Cashier (She) politely acknowledge (She) will call manager for Price check.
When the Manager showed up she was contesting my request screaming it will only be a one time courtesy. She became a distraction to customer and cashier.
However, I left on the refund but realize I was only refunded for 1 item. The Cashier acknowledge they aren't listening so the Manager had to be call back to front of Store.
When the initial Personnel returned a Male counterpart came with her. {I begin to think they are expecting Me to get irrate due to their lack of attentative. The both were a distraction to Cashier and remaining Customers
They both walk acrossed Cashier bin retrieving loose coins to meet the amount of refund.
Note:. I had to observe pricing defaults, rudeness, irregular intimidation and disrespect. They all discussing their stock, price change at a deficiency. This store is always disorganized, lacking items a shelf. Most important it lacks a diverse work force so they are always informal at Customer Service.
The resolution to them was I was supposed to pay the price at cashiering. My thought I purchased items at the mark price. I would desire an observation and audit due to them involving me in this informal activity. I believe they are cheating customers and corporate too.

Today March 14, 2022, I visited the dollar general on Martin Luther King Dr. Lumberton nc. I went into the store looking for a light bulb for my wax melter. I didn't see any on the aisle that I was on so I approached the next aisle over. While looking to see if there was a bulb or another wax melter an employee called to me from the end of the aisle and ask could she look into my purse. I said yes. Opened my purse and she didn't bother to look. I asked what the problem was and she claimed my pocketbook " looked' heavier. My purse was sitting in the cart the whole time. She embarrassed me in front of people and I kindly responded yes look. In opened it and she didn't even bother to look in it. This employee did not at anytime see me walking around the store until I met her on that aisle. I don't understand how my purse looked any heavier and neither did I pick up or touch my purse while in the store. She humiliated me in front of people and then wouldn't look in my purse. Another employee approached me and I told her what I was looking for and she helped me look. I then asked the employee could she look in my purse to see that I didn't take anything. She looked and said don't worry I only see your things. After everything was said and done the employee still didn't bother to apologize for embarrassing me. I'd like this handled in an appropriate way.

Purchased the following items at my local dollar general:
4 six pack btls.of diet Dr Pepper on sale for 4 for $10
1 four oz pkg of Desitin for $4
2 pkgs of 1.75 ounces of max strength Aspercreme $5.50 ea ($11 total)
$25 subtotal for all items
I handed the clerk:
two $1 coupons for the Diet Dr. Pepper ($2 total)
one $2 coupon for the Desitin ($2 total)
two coupons ( a $3 and a $2 )on the 2 Aspercreme products ($5 total)
$9 subtotal for all coupons
$25 subtotal - $9 total manufacture coupons = $16 subtotal (my receipt shows a subtotal of $17)
Note, I tried to use my $5 off $25 subtotal DG digital coupon but was told that I could not use my hard copy manufacture coupons and the digital $5 off $25 subtotal!
Questions:
1. Why can’t my $5 digital DG coupon be subtracted from my $25 subtotal first and then my hard copy manufacture coupons be deducted from the remaining total?
2. Why did my subtotal come up as $17 and not $16 as it should have?
3. Is it a dollar general policy to always deduct manufacture coupons first to lower the subtotal so that the customer’s subtotal will fall below the $25 subtotal requirement needed to use their $5 off $25 DG digital coupon?
4. Does DG stores post their coupon policies somewhere because I have never seen anything online or in-store stating that manufacture coupons must be deducted first before the the $5 off $25 subtotal digital coupon can be accessed.
I have read on DG receipts that the subtotal must be $25 after all other DG discounts but there is no mention of hard copy manufacture coupons having to come off first before the sub total is calculated!
Either way I have been over charged on my purchase today!

Supplies and Inventory
Over the last several months the local Dollar General (Pocahontas, IA) has been very low on supplies. I thought maybe it had to do with covid but there are boxes of supplies all over the store. So it looks like the staff is just not putting them on the shelves. Also I can go to neighboring Dollar Generals (Manson and Laurens, IA) and that is not the case. I can’t get supplies that I was used to getting such as toilet paper, paper plates, etc., basic items. I have already complained once but nothing has been done to remedy the situation. I have pictures to prove what is going on. Also the self check out has been out of order for weeks now.
Desired outcome: Staff needs to put items on the shelf. Hire more staff possibly?

I use to shop at the Dollar General in Cassopolis Michigan, I will never shop there again. I felt mortified for the sweetest, best employee that they had working there, she had changed the whole store around when she started working there, the store was clean and inviting. She definitely made a big difference. But the day I was standing in line and the store manager Brian was screaming and yelling and this wonderful lady. Yes I will never again shop there and I advise everyone else to do the same. Vandalia is close or multiple other locations. But don't shop at the Dollar General in Cassopolis the worst manager that I have ever seen. Maybe corporate will figure it out and get us a good manager in that store until then avoid the Dollar General in Cassopolis Michigan

I hope you can help me with this matter... I was in the store on November 21,2021 I purchased two Gift Cericates. When I got home I had neither. I called the store the store manager said she had seen the asstistant manager put them in a bag with some head sets I had bought my grandchildren. I looked I still did not see them. I ask her if she would call the coraporte office as see what the portcal of tracing gift cards, I gave her my number. I did not hear from no one , so I went in the store .
