exhaust coming in 2015 ford flex when braking and stopping.
Bad exhaust leaking into the cabin of our 2015 Ford Flex when we are braking and stopping for stop signs or stop lights an such. Causes headaches and affects breathing also becoming more and more unbearable and more frequent. Mechanics stated it to be an unknown problem and no recall yet from Ford for such a matter. Checking around and have found that this is not the first time Ford has been notified of this problem of exhaust leaking into the cabin area. This issue needs to be corrected without having to rip apart the vehicle to find leaks that they know about. Ticked off.
service on my 2015 ford focus
Bought a 2015 Ford Focus. Was never told about the transmission in these cars. Had it about a month and the transmission starts acting weird. Called the dealer to take it in and she asked me if I was never told about the transmission. I have had my car in to the dealership 4 times to get the transmission fixed. The last time was yesterday, October 24, 2018. They had my car for 2 1/2 hours and the service representative called me and told me my car was finished and that they had reset something and it was the way I drive it and this was how my car was going to drive. Basically, I felt like he was telling me to live with it. I guess I don't know how to drive a car. I thought that all you did was put the car in drive and push the accelerator and it went. This car when you push the accelerator sometimes it feels like it is stuttering and sometimes it has no power to even go. I will never buy another Ford product as long as l live.
dealer took wrong taxes out they had wrong info now won't fix issue. is there. anything I can do about it
Dealer got wrong tax info so didn't take enough out .deal was for dealer to. Pay taxes on. New purchase. Now state says I own. More taxes on vehicle who is responsible for the extra costs .this also happened less than year. Ago on another Ford purchase and dealership paid it and added to principal on that truck .am I responsible that dealership got wrong information.?I ever explained this to salesman when making deal
motor installed in motorhome
In January aMotor was installed. This was the 3rd one . One motor only had 260 miles on it, the current one has 2600. Ford says it was caused by catalytic converters so it is not covered by warranty. We must pay the whole repair. The first motor was &15000. At our expense. The same for the 2nd. The 3rd was co reed under warranty. Now this one will be another $15000 out of our pocket. This is not right. I am ready to sell all my Ford vehicles. I own a musta g, f150, focus. Anyone want to buy them? Very u happy with Ford. As a senior on fixed income $4500. Cannot be replaced.
my ford touch screen itself
I have recently purchased a 2014 Ford explorer through a friend. It is a fully equipped with extras. It is a beautiful car. I had the car 24 hour when the radiator hoses had a hole. It was in the shop for 3 days. Cost was just under $600. I had to take the car again to the Ford dealership because I cannot use the touch screen. I was put on the customer survey which is only good till Feb. 2019. Come to find out, the problem is the touch screen itself. How is it the reset button, the heater is only accessible from the touch screen. I HAVE to get a new touch screen so I can get access to my climate control. I found out it will cost me $947 to replace a plastic screen! But it was software, it would be covered. If I don't get the touch screen, I only have access to the front and rear defroster. So if it is 30 below in Wisconsin, I cannot even turn the heat on in the back because some genius decide "lets put it on the touch screen" As a consumable, how is it my responsible you did not have a back up plan for the touch screen.
I have goggles and read your manual. No one, even on your company site do you have anything on "What if my touch screen does not work"
I would like a call back on this issue.
My number is [protected]. If I do not answer, leave me a message please.

part delayed 2 months
purchased truck August 15, took back to dealer two weeks later when ABS braking system was faulty. Part was ordered in Sept. Waited 2 weeks went to service dept said part still on back order, went back again a few weeks later same answer part on back order gave us the phone number of Ford Canada for us to call why had the dealership not contacted Ford? Service dept was not in contact with us all this time to followup with us not very good service. Ford Canada told us part was to be in Oct 22, they called this morning said part will not be in until Nov 8th no explanation other than backordered. Just feel like getting the runaround. Spend $50, 000 on a truck and this is the service you get. Case #[protected]
computer/heater
I am very disappointed when I went to the dealership 10/20 because my heater wasn't working. My vehicle is 5 years old and I can see if a PART broke, I would need to replace it and pay for it. But I don't feel I should of paid for a malfunction of the vehicle. When I went in they said between my computer and the heater it lost connection so they had to restart my computer and it cost me $119.oo plus tax bringing it to$127.00 and some change. How does the computer just lose connection? My a/c worked and my rear window heater worked. I just feel its a computer glitch with ford and not because of the age of my vehicle. 2013 Ford Edge purchased 3/19/2013 roughly, under Marsha Breisacher (Fontenot now)
peeling paint
2013 explorer sport tuxedo black paint is bubbling and peeling on front of hood, side of hood and lift gate. This car is "my pride and joy", it is immaculate inside and out the paint is now peeling off to the bare metal! No car should do this, especially one that cost this much! I am the original owner as well. I hope Ford addresses this problem and helps to repair/replace areas of vehicles that are affected.
canister vent hose
I have seen several reviews on cod P1450, as well as on my vehicle. Ford has to know this is an issue but has not but out a recall. this is going to cost me $100 to fix a $38 part. this is taking advantage of ford auto owners. Evaporative emissions canister vent hose has a LONG history of being stuck open. I also notices compaints are not responded to!
2013 f-150 lug nuts
Lug nuts are swollen, impossible to remove tire with tire wrench. Required to encur significant costs at garage to get lug nuts off. There is a design flaw in the lug nuts provided with this vechile making it costly having to be towed when having a flat tire because the wrench doesn't fit the lug nuts rendering the spare tire useless. Design issue is related to two different types of material used in the lug nuts. The covering material become detached and swells.
service department
My 2015 ford escape would not go forward or backwards and the transmission light was on. I was not around where i bought it at so i took it to the closest Ford which was Mountaineer Ford and they were RUDE! They told me that it was a 3 week wait. I said ok, i have the extended warranty on it and it includes a rental car. He says it wont pay for a car until they can look at it and give it a diagnosis. What in the heck am i supposed to do in the mean time? Camp out there! They offered NO help except they could trade. So, i called Mid State Ford where i purchased the vehicle and they sent a rollback and picked me and my car up and took us back to their dealership and they gave me a vehicle to use and are going to fix mine. I dont think they should be allowed to do this. I WILL NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM MOUNTAINEER FORD IN BECKLEY, WV!
service and work on my wiring of the pcm and cluster
2002 Ford expedition went in to the Ford dealership for service on my cluster and then offered to fixs my PCM because they said it was not working. So Ford dealership had my truck for two months and I had paid them for there full work $2, 750.00. on September 29, 2018 time was 6:00pm when I picked it up and drove it home, the nexts day September 30, 2018 time was 12:03pm on my way to pick up my wife it cought on fire from the in side of the engine and burn all the engine down to the inside of the car, due to lack of service and negligence.thank you.
dealerships and ford credit
I spent my day at another dealership (Larry H. Miller Ford of Lakewood) trying to trade in my 2015 king ranch today and I figured I would drop you a line and let you know how things are at Ford dealerships and Ford Credit prior to me blogging about it.
I went in today looking to make a deal that would hopefully lower my monthly payment which seems to me Ford doesn't care about its lifelong customers. I have bought Ford products brand new since I was able to drive. I was all the way to the point where I shook hands and was told we had a deal and then 10 to 20 minutes later I was told that Ford Motor Credit will not go thorough with the deal that was shook on and the offer sheet signed.
The difference was the tier that was a deal would have been a payment of $915.00 which was more than I was after in the first place which is 2 bucks over what I am paying right now ($ 913.00) and the one ford credit was wanting to put me in would have been a payment of $ 1, 200.00 a month.
Now a little bit about me. I'm a 100% disabled Veteran which is living on a pension and the little bit of VA disability. Due to the limited amount of income I receive I was trying to come in and get a lower payment a month. I have already been paying ford credit for my current vehicle and have also had a few vehicles completely paid off through them which should give me a little bit of credit from Ford Credit so my credit rating should not be an issue as I do have a solid reputation with Ford Motor Credit.
I don't understand where you can make a deal and shake my hand congratulating me on my new vehicle and then 10 to 20 minutes later say sorry but we cant go through with the deal we shook on.
Now as far as manufactures go I just seen my ex wife come from Mercedes Benz with a 2019 sedan and her payments with a 2 year service contract are $ 450.00 a month. And she has had a car repossessed last year. I don't understand how a foreign company can offer a better deal than an American company. Also a luxury vehicle. I really was looking forward to driving my new truck home after all the congratulations I received. I'm really upset with the business practices your company stands for. I believe I will start looking at foreign made vehicles more seriously.

tulsa oklahoma ford dealerships (bill knight and fowler ford)
I recently experienced mechanical difficulty with my vehicle. I purchased an extended warranty for my vehicle, so I could easily get my vehicle repaired quickly and easily should the need arise. I contacted Bill Knight Ford Dealership along with the Fowler Ford Dealership to look at my vehicle here in Tulsa. I was told at Fowler Ford that I could drop my car off for 5 days and they would ATTEMPT to run the diagnostic on it, but it was first come first serve and because of that I would need to leave my car there for a minimum of 5 days for that service ONLY. They then told me that they have no loaner cars left, leaving me to somehow get to my job in which I DRIVE TO AND DURING WORK to see clients. I then proceeded to call Bill Knight Ford Dealership and they told me the same thing and then told me I could make an appointment for 2.5 weeks out because my problem was not "serious" as my check engine light was not on. I then asked what if my car breaks down while I wait for the extreme amount of time to have my car looked at and the man told me"you can have it towed to the dealership and we can try to look at it when we have time".
I now regret buying a Ford as I have always had Chevrolet cars. Chevrolet gets me in within a day to look at and fix the problem. Why is your customer service lacking so much and do you believe this is reasonable customer service? I would be embarrassed how your companies are being ran in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ultimately I was forced to take my vehicle to a mechanic that was not a ford dealership and therefore was unable to use my extended warranty wasting money I could have saved with it. I am very frustrated in that I wasted my money in purchasing this extended warranty when I am told I have to wait to use it. What was the point in buying one?
2017 ford focus
Having owned Fords since 1970 (currently have 3) and never having an issue 40+ years I now have my first disappointment in your product. Our 2017 Focus was initially great but now that we have 17K miles on it the transmission has progressively gotten worse. When the vehicle is cold it seems to shift OK. Once it warms up ( especially in hot weather) the transmission shutters and knock on launch and is even worse when I accelerate while turning left or right pulling out into traffic. Rolling down the drive way and breaking causes a clunk/ knock like it's slipping. Same happens when I stop at a light.
I took it to the dealer and they told me it was within specs. Not sure what that means but if this is acceptable then there is a real issue with the design. I hesitate taking this car on long trips and now only drive it locally. My did some research and found numerous customers having the same issues with no resolution of the problem. I also found that there was class action suit in Australia for the same issue. It would be great if this issue could get resolved so I can maintain my confidence in Ford products.
improper coolant flush from dealership leading to high engine temp light and sloshing noise from dash
I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid VIN 3FADP0L30AR344745 with just over 58, 000 miles on it. I have had all scheduled maintenance and as part of that, on 10/15/18, took it to Metropolitan Ford in Eden Prairie, MN for a coolant flush. Right after I left the dealership, after having traveled less than a mile, while I was merging onto a freeway, my high engine temp light came on. I immediately pulled over onto the shoulder and called AAA for a tow back to the dealer. I called the dealership as well (multiple calls to voicemail), who finally called me back as the tow truck was arriving and suggested that it was probably just air in the coolant and that I turn the engine back on and if the high engine temp light had turned off, I could just keep on driving. (He also suggested I get out of the car and look under it for coolant, in case there were a leak - not too safe for me with cars flying by at over 70 mph). He said he would look at it in the parking lot and if it seemed OK I could leave. I told him I wanted it to go up on the rack. When I finally got there they did put it up on the rack. I was never told what they were going to do so I just went to a waiting area and waited. It was at least 45 min or an hour later when the Quick Lane manager came to tell me that "hybrids were tricky" to flush to coolant on, and something about some valve and running the car, and said it should be OK. I couldn't figure out why there should be a problem flushing coolant from hybrids - surely this couldn't have been the first hybrid they had worked on! I drove home taking back roads as it was rush hour.
Today (10/16/18) I had reason to run my car in the garage, and after the (gas) engine noise stopped and the electric engine kicked in (i.e., it was quiet), I could hear a sloshing liquid noise from the area of the dash. I assume this means the coolant level is low? I placed 2 calls to the Metropolitan Ford dealership today and so far have not heard back from them. I need to drive about 45 miles on the freeway to work and back tomorrow and I concerned my car will overheat and there will be damage to the car (not to mention that I may miss work).
Why doesn't the dealership know how to properly deal with something as simple as a coolant flush on my vehicle? This is general maintenance of the vehicle. I would like a refund of the money I paid for the coolant flush and an assurance that any damage that may occur as a result of the improper work will also be covered. I have spent a lot of my personal time on this issue, but I will not ask for compensation for that unless coolant-related car malfunction causes me to miss work (I am a physician).
Sincerely,
Laura Lehmann
2014 ford focus
I have a 2014 ford focus SE. It has a faulty transmission, (car on recall). I have had the car for 3 years and I have had to pay for 1 repair out of pocket, and 2 claims which causes my insurance to go up. I was told after so many miles I will have to repair the clutch again. When I went to suburban Ford of Ferndale to buy a new car, this is not what I expected from the company I proudly work for and wear the name of on my attire. I feel stuck because I can't afford a new car, because of layoffs, but I can't afford this delima either. Can you help this situation?
service on a warrntied 2016 ford expedition platinum
I have taken my car to THREE Ford dealerships for a problem. The car shudders when taking off and when turning hard going slow. Allieta Ford in Wellsburg, WV, Doan Ford in Morristown Oh, and Woltz wind Ford in Heildelburg PA. NONE of these service departments claimed they could find a problem. My car was still under warranty at each visit.
I resolved that I wanted to keep the car so I took it to a reputable mechanic in my hometown, Assaro's in Warwood, WV. Tony, the owner replicated the problem immediately, changing out the rearend fluid and added a cear oil, Posi treatment. This resolved the problem to the tune of $138.34,
Since this vehicle was still under warranty I feel Ford should pay for this.
Thanks
Brenda Clark
antifreeze going into motor
I have a 2013 ford escape sel it has the issues with the antifreeze going into the motor. It's not on the recall list like they have and it should be. I owe way to much money on it as it is and need ford to repair my SUV like the recall. I have no warranty since it was bought used. It only has 71000 miles and I don't want it to catch fire or blow up I still owe money.
