I am furious! I went to dollar general this evening around 7:30 pm. My fiance'and I had a cart full of things. As we were on the pet aisle looking at treats and toys for our 2 dogs we were approached by "the store manager". A heavy set black woman. She did not have a name tag on. She said "I don't know what you two got going on but you need to leave!" then she proceeds to look at me (I have a facemask on) and tells me "i've told you before to leave and not come back". This was said in front of other customers. First off... This woman has never laid eyes on me and i've never seen her! To be accused like she did us was not right. The way she approached us was not right! I've never felt so humilated in my life! We had a cart full of items and we were not even finished shopping. I asked for her name and corporate number several times and she would not give it to me! This is unacceptable behavior for a manager! She needs retraining to say the least. We left the cart and went to a different dollar general and spent our money. But to be honest with you, I don't think we will be shopping with dollar general again. It's not worth the humility. Cluttered aisles

I have been a customer at this dollar store (9000 S Harrah Rd, ) since they first opened & I loved it. It was convenient, the people were pleasant & knew what they were doing. Now, I won't go into this store due to the fact that there's always boxes upon boxes of products sitting in the isle's, & no one can find anything. The shelves are usually bare in spots due to the fact that nothing gets put out where they should be. The ladies that were in charge of this store prior to 2020 were excellent, this made this store something to be proud of but under this new management it's declined in the quality that people around this part of Oklahoma enjoyed. I have noticed that the business has declined in this store with pretty much the same disappointments. Most importantly, none of the employee's wear the masks. I'm a senior citizen with many health problems & can't afford to get the virus that's around, but they don't seem to care so you won't be seeing me in this store again. I have been a loyal Dollar General customer for several years and have been shopping at my local store (#11176) since the day it opened its doors. I have never had a problem until a couple of years ago when this lady was promoted to store manager.
Now, if this were an isolated incident, I would let it go and just deal with it but there are several other people in the community that agree that she is not only rude to certain customers for no reason, but is just plain mean, cold and judgmental.
I do not know this woman personally. Her behavior towards me is not warranted in any way, at any time. That being said, her behavior during my visit today (June 19, 2020) was completely unacceptable and uncalled for.
I entered the store, quietly located what I wished to purchase (2 items), and made my way toward the register. I could hear her making "pleasant" small talk with one of the other four customers in the store as I made my way toward the counter. When I got there and put my items on the counter, , she was sitting in the manger's office. I waited there for approximately 3 minutes before she came out of her office, packing a medium sized cardboard box. As she approaches the register, she politely greets the customer that has just gotten in line behind me. As soon as she gets to the register in front of me, she proceeds to slam the box down onto the counter, knocking some of the counter sales products out of their holders. She then snatches up my two items, scans them, and literally throws them into a bag with an audible thud. She angrily demands my total, rips my money from my hand, throws my change on the counter, rips up my receipt and says, "Bye" as she points toward the door.
Now, I could understand a little bit of hostility if I was rude in any way shape or form, but I wasn't. As I said before, I only know her from the store and do not know her personally, so it's not a personal issue whatsoever. I remained calm, minded my manners, and was pleasant in response throughout the encounter just like I always have been every other time she has been rude with me.
I don't want to say anything to her individually because other people in the community who have brought things of this nature to her attention, have been permanently barred from the store and on two separate occasions, I personally witnessed her call law enforcement, make up some incident that didn't occur (I witnessed the entire event), and on one of those occasions, had someone arrested on those bogus charges for absolutely no reason other than they were trying to let her know that her behavior towards some of her customers needed to change.
I am not one to complain at all and out of my 28 years on this Earth, this is the first complaint I have ever lodged but I feel the need to because I no longer feel comfortable shopping in my local store. Unfortunately, until she is either reprimanded for her actions or replaced entirely, I will no longer be bringing my business to this company.

I was taken back today when supposedly an employee off duty had entered the store to take a cart in with no face mask. I said to him "no mask" and he said this store doesn't require it.
